there is a very thick line anyone must cross to get overhaul to even think about the possibility of having a partner.

kai is not someone who cares about looks, he goes way more forward than just appearances while bonding and if he happens to fall for a woman, it will be thanks to her intelligence. let's get this straight, chisaki likes smart women, a woman who thinks in very similar ways he does, a woman with ideals and ambition, but not too much, he doesn't want to feel outperformed (she will surpass him sometime, and he will loose his mind over it, in a neutral/grey-ish way). loyalty is a trait he is looking for in a partner too. he needs someone who supports all of his plans and accompanies him during the tough and triumphant times. the more she helps him with his plans, the more he will fall for her, it's an intellectual adoration he can hardly resist to.

anyhow, he would be astonished and provoked if his partner ever outsmarts him, he will feel like he is missing out on something, something that leaked out of his very checked and perfected control network, an unknown force that entices him with such greed, a very mighty source of power he is lucky to have by his side, pushing him closer and closer to his goals, god, the fascination is such it drives him crazy, the desperation and slight obsession over a woman with criteria is what makes kai fall for her deeply.
