alright this is becoming a series now!! here is what i think vincent’s possible astrology placements could be (loose character analysis and astrology ramblings under the cut as per usual, i will try not to be repetitive in my explanations of different aspects of a chart but i want these posts to be as accessible as possible to people who dont know about astrology! that being said, if anyone has any questions or wants a further explanation please reach out and ask! i love talking about this stuff and being able to go into further detail about it is a treat <3)

before diving into the individual placements, i think its fitting here to look at the chart (and vincent) as a whole. vincent is The flirty vampire. he started as this flirty fuckboy-esque guy and has since shown himself to be So domestic and So mushy towards lovely. it’s important that his fuckboy placements know how to commit and it’s important that his domestic placements know how to be noncommittal. to be clear, the domestic placements are his moon and mercury and the rest i would consider to be fuckboy placements but ill go into that as we go!

vincent is a very much a leo sun. he is outgoing, friendly, loyal, and cares deeply about his loved ones. i know the leo stereotype is that theyre self-obsessed, and i think vincent definitely has his moments about his appearance, but leos are so much more than that. (plus the leo sun sets up the mercury and venus nicely) having the sun in leo means its in its domicile (meaning that leo is ruled by the sun which means its at home there!) and leo suns are very bright, not in an intelligent way (although they certainly can be smart) but i mean in a sunny way. they tend to be people whom others are drawn to.

dear sweet vin and his taurus moon <3 first and foremost, him and lovely cooking together is definitely a taurus moon’s way of showing love and spending time together. the big stereotype that tauruses complain about is them loving food, and i agree that its an overgeneralization BUT i know so many tauruses and i hate to say its true to a certain degree. taurus moons are very stable, emotionally speaking, and often act as emotional supports for people around them.

while the other placements i talk about in these posts are physical planets/luminaries (thats what the sun and moon are called, as they aren’t considered planets), your rising sign just refers to the sign that rules the first house of your chart. there are twelve houses, each ruling over a different aspect of your life/self/experiences. the first house is the house of self. it rules your basic identity and can have an influence on your physical appearance. it can also influence what kind of first impression you leave. that being said, vincent scaring lovely as a way of flirting with a stranger is such a sagittarius rising thing to do. ive talked before, in gavins post, about the duality of sagittarius. they can be impulsive and have a tendency to live in the moment to a negative extent. however, they also are super smart, adventurous, and love to learn. i think this is the perfect fit for vincent’s rising.

due to the nature of mercury, it can only be one sign away from the sun sign (or the same as the sun sign). this makes the options for a leo sun a cancer, leo, or virgo mercury. cancer mercuries are emotionally intuitive, which i think suits vincent. they care deeply about their loved ones and can be sensitive. they are also sentimental. they are in touch with their emotions. leo and virgo mercuries just dont have the same energy and wont suit vincent as well, in my opinion.

venus has a similar restriction to mercury in that it can only be the same as the sun sign or the two signs before or after. which makes the options gemini, cancer, leo, virgo, or libra. venus rules over love, relationships, and a persons sense of aesthetic. considering vincents entire character, his venus needs to be one that is both flirty and domestic. to me, the signs that would fit that criteria from that list would leo or libra. these are both very romantic signs, and either could fit to be honest. i personally prefer a leo venus for him, leo venuses are very showy with their love and affection and love to show off their partner. they are generous, warm, and quick to love.

if theres one thing about vincent, he is not afraid to fuck a bitch up (especially if lovely is involved). scorpio mars people can be very intense, this is because mars is in its domicile with scorpio (although mars is only the traditional ruler of scorpio, its modern ruler is pluto. mars is also the ruler of aries). scorpio mars are persistent and loyal. in my personal experience, they are slow to anger but once they are, it is a deep anger. (plus scorpio mars are stereotyped to be good at sex and i think thats canon for vincent)

okay i really do not know what the overlap is for redacted fans and people who enjoy astrology but god i love both of those things so i am sharing my headcanon placements for david ( ill explain my reasoning and stuff under the cut, it’ll be some loose character analysis but mostly me just rambling about astrology :P )

for the capricorn sun, david is very hard working and also very much into his work. theres also the 10th house energy with capricorn and having pride and wanting pursue a certain level of status in life (aka being alpha !!). but other than that, david has earth sign energy to me and out of the earth signs, capricorn makes the most sense. i dont think he has the stubbornness to be a taurus sun and doesn’t have the criticalness to be a virgo sun. he is very practical and responsible which are traits of capricorn !

moon is always the hardest placement for me to determine when im thinking about headcanons for characters. i will often save it for last, but when it comes down to it i ask myself what this character truly values/finds comfort in and also how they feel and process their emotions. one thing about david is that his emotions seem veryyy repressed. he does not express them comfortably (not letting the pack see him grieve gabe, his first reverse comfort audio, etc.). for me, this eliminates fire and water signs right off the bat and also libra and virgo. (which leaves taurus, capricorn, aquarius, and gemini) i also used the process of elimination here but am not necessarily going to go into that part bc this is already a very long paragraph lol. for me capricorn and aquarius seem the most repressed out of the four so between those two i looked at where those moon signs find comfort. capricorn moons find comfort in tradition, long-term goals and plans, and work tbh (even if they have a tendency to over-work themselves) aquarius moons find comfort in friends, but also alone time, and expressing themselves creatively. while i would not categorize david as a creative, i think he definitely expresses his creative outlet in his backyard plans for his and angel’s home. i find myself consistently flipping between both of these signs for him so i left it at both and am definitely open for debate on this lol

i dont think it would be an unpopular opinion to say that david comes off as hot and Brooding and Also intimidating on first impression. that is SO scorpio rising. not even a question. (he also seems like a private person which would fit a scorpio rising [generally speaking])

mercury has limited options based on the sun sign (it can only be the same sign as the sun sign or be the sign before or after). this makes the options sagittarius, capricorn, and aquarius. as someone who knows a few sagittarius mercuries, there is No Way In Hell that he has one. he is the silent type and youll be hard-pressed to find a sagittarius mercury who matches that description. hes also too grounded to have an aquarius mercury (i say as someone with an aquarius mercury and two close friends with aquarius mercuries). that leaves us with capricorn mercury, which i think fits anyways!

theres a similar situation with venus and having limited options. venus can only be your sun sign or the two signs before or after (which makes scorpio, sagittarius, capricorn, aquarius, and pisces the options) i went through the process of elimination here similarly to the mars placement but typing all of that out would take a long time and i dont think anyone is going to read this tbh but ANYWAY i ended up with aquarius because, firstly, the process of elimination, but also because i think david has some aquarius in his chart (aquarius is the sign of the humanitarian and i think david cares about humanity but is also very much the guy to hate talking to random people and interacting with the general public [which is very much an aquarius thing LMAO]) and i think its an accurate placement (source; i have an aquarius venus and i say so /lh)

for mars i mainly look at the character’s temperament and also how they deal with motivation and ambition. david is very grounded, very steady. to me this indicates earth (again). i dont think he has a capricorn mars, as that would give him a capricorn stellium which i dont feel is quite right. he does, however, have a stubborn streak and is very methodical and slow with his approach to things (which makes taurus the perfect fit in my opinion)

oh god i really wasnt expecting anyone to interact with my astrology headcanon post for david, and people did! they liked! they replied for gods sake! this has unleashed an urge from deep within me to talk about my other astrology headcanons for different characters :-) i hope you enjoy my thoughts about gavin (loose character analysis and astrology rambling/explanation under the cut)

when thinking about gavins sun sign, i had to be strategic. i knew i wanted him to have prominent scorpio placements without having a scorpio sun, which limited my options. i ended up landing on sagittarius, which i think is perfect. for starters, its a mutable sign (other mutable signs are gemini, pisces, and virgo). gavin very much goes with the flow and rolls with the punches, which is essentially what mutable signs are. in my mind, he does not have the desire for leadership that cardinal signs (capricorn, cancer, libra, aries) have and he does not have the stubbornness that fixed signs have (aquarius, leo, taurus, scorpio). while i dont think anyone should rely on stereotypes for astrology, there is a certain level of truth to them. sagittariuses are stereotyped as being impulsive party-lovers, which i think is applicable to gavin (although certainly not in all situations and certainly not as strongly as he goes through his character development) additionally, what people seem to forget about sagittarius is that it is also the sign of the philosopher! sagittariuses are intellectuals and love the pursuit of knowledge. gavin wants to pursue full certification!! (he only stopped because of the discrimination he faced) he is So sagittarius <3

i struggled less with gavin’s moon sign than i do usually. pisces placements are very dreamy and are also intuitive. i think gavin is definitely in touch with his emotions (even if he does kinda keep them close to the vest with people other than freelancer). he is also in touch with the emotions of people around him (which is literally only because hes an incubus but my point still stands) which is also characteristic of a pisces moon.

on first impression, gavin is Flirty as Fuck. hes confident and knows what he wants. i also headcanon that he is very expressive and creative in the way he presents himself in material ways as well (clothes, accessories, makeup, etc.). to me, this makes him a leo rising

now here we go with gavin’s scorpio placements! as i discussed in my previous astrology headcanon breakdown, mercury has limited options. the options here are scorpio, sagittarius, and capricorn. mercury dictates the way you think/process information/communicate. capricorn mercuries are very practical and i think of them as very serious, although they do tend to have a dry sense of humor (which is very funny to me personally). sagittarius could work for gavin if you squint your eyes just right, but i wanted his chart to lean more towards scorpio than sagittarius (as i will discuss a bit further in the next paragraph)

giving gavin a scorpio venus is the pièce de résistance. there are so many reasons why this is the perfect placement for him. for starters, the traditional ruler of scorpio is mars. mars is usually associated with aggression and passion, but it also rules sex! and venus is the planet that rules over relationships and love! gavin is an incubus! this makes sense! scorpio also rules over the reproductive organs (cough cough genitals). venus in scorpio is also a placement in detriment. this means its a difficult placement and can make relationships hard for people with this placement. i think scorpio venuses are resistant to commitment and often struggle with opening up emotionally to romantic partners, but once they do they are very loyal and devoted partners. This Is So Gavin. LIKE CMON THE EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM IS SO SCORPIO VENUS (scorpio venuses are also stereotypically very attractive and good at sex and hes a FUCKING INCUBUS)

anyway. mars is kind of the placement i struggled with for gavin. this planet rules ambition, passion, and your drive (specifically sex drive). i think giving him a scorpio mars would just be a cop out to be honest. i kind of think gavin would have a mutable mars sign, which leaves sagittarius, pisces, gemini, and virgo. none of which i feel fits, frustratingly enough. out of the rest of the signs, libra to me is the most mutable without being mutable (its a cardinal sign). libras value balance and justice. libra is also ruled by venus which gives these placements a strong sense of aesthetic. However!! mars in libra is also a placement in detriment, which means its a difficult placement. unfortunately for gavin, i do think this fits for him lol hes struggled with relationships with the whole incubus thing and i think him having a libra mars makes sense
