The Finnish Landrace, also called the Finngoat (Finnish: Suomenvuohi), is a landrace breed of goat originating in western Finland. The breed can come in a variety of colors but is usually grey, pied, or white, and both horned and polled individuals occur. Finnish Landrace goats are typically used for milking, as there is not a strong tradition of goat meat in Finnish cuisine, unlike in southern Europe. Finngoats are the only breed of goat native to Finland, and originate from native goats crossed with other European imports, especially from Switzerland.
The Finnish Landrace Goat is currently a conservation priority in Finland, with fewer than 5000 head recorded in the herdbook. Goats should be sturdy, with small, leaf-shaped ears that stand erectly and a calm look in the eyes. Hair length varies in the breed, but is generally short to medium length and may become rather shaggy in winter. They are a medium-sized dairy breed, well-adapted to their native climate and capable of enduring through harsh, snowy winters typical of Finland.

We visited with my school 2y ago a goat farm where they milked goats and they were literally wiling to give one of the kids away. A little boy who was so much smaller than others but still healthy. No one was able to take him because we were sleeping in a hotel and had still other farms to visit. He was cute plack/gray/white finngoat.
Dawwww!!!! *makes grabby hands* Want!!!
Ya, a lot of farms are will give away bucklings (boy babies) for little to nothing. Like heffer cows, doelings are more lucrative for dairy purposes and since goatmeat isn't in much demand in the US, most goat farms are dairy based.
But if you're looking for a good breeding Buck the price takes a sharp hike up and then even more if you're looking for a show breeder. The little black buck i posted a few days ago was 800 because he came from really good stock. He'd make some stunning show quality kids if mixed with the right Doe.
Most zoos with a "farmyard" area with goats running around will also end up giving away extra kids. The couple ive talked to say most of them are spoken for before birth but a lot of times they have extras. If I could find a zoo that had Nubian or Boer goats I'd be so happy but those are big breeds and most zoos just keep the dwarf and pygmie breeds.
