Aeons, I never planned for this…
Why is he so hot?

Minie, I have an idea for something I maay or may not be doing one day, but I have to ask you a thing before I send in the ask.
Is it okay if I set up like a situation for you? Write something like "Aventurine was at the Golden hour walking around..." and set a scene for the roleplay?
- 🔆
Yeah ofc! Advance planning is important ehehe you can even shoot me some DMs if you want to talk more in depth about certain things!
I don't mind having general situations at all! It helps set the mood sometimes lol. The only thing I'm not big on in scenarios is determining my muse's emotions.
That was one thing I couldn't grasp very well when one anon sent me a scenario, it was too descriptive in terms of Aven's emotions where I was quite literally forced to follow that pre-set opinion if I were to answer, and the way it was structured didn't leave much of an open end for me to continue, it seemed like everything I would have done was already written in the prompt, and it would have been the OC's turn to make a move again, frankly.
But other than that I am most definitely not opposed! And don't worry about the description level, I'm fine with a little bit to a lot (as an avid reader who writes descriptively myself).
Hope you're well!

((I can't stop laughing at your tags mod. he's too gay, he's gonna steal every man in the universe))
- 🔆
(Ooc: He really is.
After I told a non-hsr moot about him, (and accidentally turned them into an Aventio shipper whoops) we deemed him the "gay ass gambler" and "peacockesque gambling fruit loop" among others.
I was explaining to my moot about Aventurine practically rizzing every man he saw on Penacony at this point (the scenes from the story quest with Sunday and Ratio, and those cutscenes if you Trailblaze as Caelus) and they said that he is "collecting men like pokemon". Now the urge to make that one of Aven's recurring tags is too strong. Oh no.
Another lovely quote from this moot; "even the way he says "friend" is so delightfully fruity."
I'm glad you're enjoying me panicking in the tags! It happens quite often lol.
I hope you're well! ~ Mod Minie)

if you had to choose between ratio, sunday, and a certain masked fool, who would you choose?
-🕳
Well~ That’s quite the question…
It wouldn’t be fair of me to give you an answer, however… whom I would choose would depend entirely on my mood~
Currently, it most definitely would not be Veritas.
...He hurt me.

"Pff- Ahahahahaha!" The man couldn't help but let out a boisterous laugh. "Oh by The Laughter, you're quite easy to break!" He wiped away a tear of joy.
"A Sigonian thrall.. An IPC slave. You're too easy to read." He smiled, a dark look in his eyes. "Nothing more to be expected, after all.."
"That serial number on your neck proves me more than your own words can~!"
"For where I get my information, I don't trust Hanabi. I know she's unreliable, absolutely. I've been with her for years at a time! I know all she cares for is her own Elation." He crossed his arms. "But, I do have my own sources. Which I won't be disclosing."
- 🔆
*Aventurine scowls, the wounded look on his face disappearing.*
"And what exactly is that supposed to mean? You have no idea who I am, and it would be very dangerous for you to assume."
*The gambler pushes the man against the nearest wall, an arm pressed against the person's throat.* "Trust me, pretty boy... I am capable of far more than you would expect of me~" *His words are a hiss, but his tone drips of honey nonetheless.*
"Now, please... if you'll do the honours, state your name and your purpose..."
*That teasing smirk of his has returned, and he leans impossibly closer, lips brushing against the side of the man's ear.* "Unless you are a coward, after all..."

"Mm, perhaps that is the case." The man grins, looking at him with his eyes as he gets pushed against the wall. "But that's nothing I'll ever worry about! I'll never worry, ever!"
"As for my name and purpose.." He smirked. "My name is directly derived from The Laughter's name, in my native language, Warau."
"And for my purpose.." He snapped his fingers, instantly appearing behind Aventurine and pinning the blond man to the wall instead. "I just wish to mess with you. To see how far I can push you before you break. For my own entertainment, that is."
- 🔆
Oh, you should be worried. I have to keep myself low enough on the radar for the sake of the IPC... but I highly doubt many people would mind if a certain Masked Fool went missing~ *Aventurine's voice is teasing, but a threat is evident beneath his honey-laced words.*
Mmm... an interesting name. A pretty one, too. I'd say it's a pleasure to meet you, but I don't think we've reached such a point to be able to say such a thing without lying.
*The blonde's eyes widen, a high-pitched keen escaping his throat as his back hits the wall. His breath is knocked away at the unexpected— almost impossible— move. He takes a sharp inhale, and when he looks up at the man again, he smiles lasciviously, tongue darting out to moisten his bottom lip.*
Mess with me? Oh, I'd be honoured to see you try~
I’m not exactly one to break, let’s just say…

"Cheating? Me?!" Warau dramatically puts a hand on his head, as if in despair. "How dare you accuse me of such a thing! I'm the most trustworthy man you can ever meet!"
The man also put his own coat to the side, his familiar outfit showing once more. He shifted to sit more comfortably in his chair and looked at Aventurine,a teasing smile on his face.
"Buut~ I just wanted to see how a certain Stoneheart is doing ever since.. the last time we met. Or our first meeting." He picked up a poker chip from his pile.
"So, have you forgotten my name already?" He asked, playing with the poker chip in his hand, turning it into a jester card. "Or have I been plaguing your thoughts?"
- 🔆
*Aventurine narrows his eyes at the other man, not exactly trusting a Masked Fool’s word, of all people. The gambler hasn’t known Warau for very long, so there is no concrete evidence leading him to doubt the man’s words. It’s instinctive— that, and the fact that Aventurine has had the pleasure of crossing many people of this type in a lifetime. Fools are typical in amusing themselves by spreading seeds of discord.*
“A tip for you, friend~ “ *The blonde smirks, gazing into the other’s eyes intensely.* “When you lie, please do try to make it more convincing… white lies are often useful, because they do not require you to invent a whole sentence out of the blue. With a white lie, people have more of a tendency to believe you, for a part of what you’re saying is true, and so the rest might just be true as well~”
*The blonde keeps his voice soft and lilting, wanting to convey his points exactly without offending the Fool outright. Choosing every word with care and precision is merely a habit of his by now.*
“But lying outright-- the way you’ve just done to my face… ahh, that lacks both skill and thought. You see, it’s incredibly difficult to even begin to believe a word in such a sentence when it’s coming from you, after all.”
*Aventurine would be lying if he denied looking the other man up and down as the Fool removes his coat. He makes it nonchalant however, gaze flicking down to his watch instead, gloved fingers rubbing its smooth surface briefly-- no doubt a habit he's picked up from somewhere.*
"I'm doing quite well~" *The gambler giggles softly, eyes subtly following the other's every move, attempting to spot anything unusual.* "I haven't lost a single bet, I've been on quite the winning streak... except for this one time where you decided to ever so kindly grace me with your presence."
*Aventurine lets out an audible gasp at the other's sleight of hand, clapping his hands together as if he were part of an enthusiastic crowd.* "Well, that's something I haven't seen before~" *His tone is teasing, but there is a certain genuineness to his curiosity.*
"Oh, I assure you... I'm not typically one to forget those I cross, even if it is but a brief meeting." *The blonde looks up at the other man with a half-smirk, his irises glowing in the lights of the casino.* "Besides, dear Fool... I'm afraid you've left quite the impression on me."

"mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the most seductive of us all?" hint, it's not him, he wouldn't want to be either.
*Aventurine arches an eyebrow at the peculiar question, the hint of a smile on his lips upon noticing the presence of his double.*
Mmm, I'm not sure~
There is a... certain Masked Fool that has been following me around lately. He seems to have plenty of natural charm, I'd have to reply with him.
*The blonde reaches into the breast pocket of his overcoat, pulling out a jester card, the pattern on the card's back completely unfamiliar. It isn't a card that Aventurine owns, not in this universe nor in any other.*
We've only run into each other a few times, but-- he is quite seductive, I'll tell you that~

The cards were dealt a few more times, and no matter how many times they would shuffle, check the cards, or anything of the sort, the same jester cards would replace the cards dealt to the players.
Eventually, being sick of it, the other two players left, leaving Aventurine, the dealer.. And the hooded man. He hadn't said a word ever since he sat down at the table.
The dealer dealt the cards that Aventurine gave, and despite that, it still gave the blonde two of the same jester cards.
The other player on the table then took off the hood, revealing a familiar face of a certain masked fool. A smirk on his face as he pulled out a winning set of cards down, a royal flush.
"You'll always be the victor, right dear?" Warau asked, mocking him with the pet name.
*The blonde's breath hitches upon seeing his suspicions confirmed. Warau is back, as if Aventurine's heart wasn't already pounding fast enough. He feels his cheeks growing warm, and he smirks to conceal his surprise, a sort of glee in his eyes as he focuses his gaze onto the Masked Fool. He can't help the way the sound of the petname, whether teasing or not, shapes a knot in his chest.*
"I am... when other people aren't cheating, of course~"
*He gives an elegant smile to the other man, pulling his rose-tinted sunglasses off in a swift movement, setting them down on the table.* "What a pleasure it is to run into you again, dear friend~ And to what do I owe this visit? It isn't as if you were... announced."
*Two can play at this game. As handsome as the Masked Fool is, Aventurine is confident in his own beauty as well. He simply just has to turn up the charm.*
"What do you want, hm~?" *The blonde unbuttons his overcoat before sliding it off languidly yet casually, draping the exquisitely patterned fabric over the arm of the chair he sits in.* "Did you want me to buy you a drink? Or perhaps, it's the other way around~?"
*Every lilt of his voice is teasing, almost provoking. This is going to be fun...*

The casino was filled with willing participants, 3 other people deciding to join Aventurine for a round of poker. One wore a pair of shades, a confident smirk on his face as he wraps his arm around the girl he was bringing around the place, putting out a big bet. The other had a goatee, looking serious as he sat down on the chair, seemingly inspecting the other players as well as he put down his bets.
The last was quite interesting, a hood covering their head and making them unrecognizable as they silently put their poker chips on the table for their bet. The lights of the casino didn't help to show their face at all, the shadow of the hood continuing to cover it.
The dealer dealt two cards to each player. But pure confusion filled the faces of the other two players, which was an understandable thing, since the two cards dealt were replaced with a familiar jester card pattern.
"Hey! What are these?!" The confident man looked suspiciously at the dealer, who seemed confused by the man's shouting. "These cards are both jester cards!"
The goatee man asked the dealer to try to check the cards, and when they checked the deck, there were no jester cards, and the deck seemed quite normal. They shuffled the deck again when they confirmed that it was normal, and dealt the cards again. Which caused confusion as the familiar jester cards appeared in the two cards once more.
- 🔆
*Aventurine's eyes widen upon noticing the cards, a familiar sort of buzz in his bloodstream as he recalls the one, identical card still tucked into the breast pocket of his overcoat, the symbol resting over his heart.*
"How peculiar~"
*The blonde murmurs to himself, the hint of a smirk pulling at his lips. He runs a gloved finger delicately along the pattern of one of the newer cards he had been dealt, remembering just exactly what these cards meant.*
*A very attractive Masked Fool has left his mark here. One not much taller than Aventurine himself, but with striking features and a charming smile, and startling strength for his slim size-- and that was assuming the form in which Aventurine had seen him was indeed his own and not an impersonation of some other stranger on Penacony.*
*A man named Warau, and against his better judgement, Aventurine feels like this may be a signal for him specifically. A threat, possibly, as the blonde is having quite a hard time determining exactly what could have driven the Fool to supposedly want to"push him until he breaks", and more importantly, who sent him and what his true purpose is. The thought sends a trickle of something akin to fear down the gambler's spine.*
*The familiar cards stir up many emotions in Aventurine, but he'll ignore them for now. He fully intends on winning this game, and he isn't going to let such a trivial thing distract him.*
"He's right. Deal the cards again, but watch them carefully. Something isn't right here..." *Aventurine tells the dealer, malice in his eyes, before facing the other players.* "If nothing seems to stop the change of the cards, well... I have my own deck in my pocket, if you all trust me enough~"

(Ooc: No but you're right!
Would and could and Aven would let him
I would love to see what Sparkle and Warau's interactions would look like. They're both so unserious shdlahlah
Randomly I. I love Warau. He's such a neat OC. Aventurine is only a little bit more obsessed with him than I am kasgksgakga I. I need to know more of his lore if you have any and would be willing to share!
He's so intriguing omg it's part of his charm I guess? Idk Aventurine would agree though ~ Mod Minie)

"My friend, she's quite the cute one! Shorter than myself, but she always has a Sparkle in her eyes when she talks!" The man chuckled, he crossed his arms. He fiddled with his hands.
"But everyone knows you're a Sigonian. One who deserves none if our trust, or admiration for that matter." One of the coins on Aventurine's table appeared in his hand, a well-done magic trick. "You know, your motives are quite clear on Penacony. Especially.. As an IPC worker."
"Sorry, I didn't mean to call you that! I meant to call you.." He flipped the coin in his hand, the coin turning into a jester card. "An IPC slave."
- 🔆
You're seriously going to trust Hanabi of all people for information? Pshh, that's a misplaced friendship if I ever saw one~
*Aventurine props a hand against his hip, staring the strange man down with an intense gaze, irritation only very barely concealed by his rose-tinted glasses.*
Admiration? *Aventurine laughs, the sound uncharacteristically bitter.* I have never once asked for admiration. And who exactly is everyone? You and your little entourage of traitors? I'd just love to know how you managed to procure such information.
As for my motives... I would advise you not to bring up a topic you know nothing about. Why I'm here is none of your business, last time I checked~
*At that, Aventurine breaks. Something underneath that arrogant exterior snaps, and his eyes go wide, fear flashing across his features.* I- I don't know what you're talking about. Whatever your sources told you, they're wrong... *The words come out less steadily than he had intended them to.*
*Why is it so hard for him to breathe all of a sudden?*

"Ah, it's Mr. Mole Rat." A man, no taller than the blonde himself, approached him. His hands were clasped, a grin on his face. "Or at least, that's what my friend called you. I should call you by your real name."
"Mr. Aventurine, not so pleasure to meet you." They bowed, not so formally, yet respectful enough.
- 🔆
Mister Mole Rat?
*Aventurine’s typical smirk slips for a moment, his lips pressing into a thin line. However, it doesn’t take long for his mischievous smile to reappear.*
That has to be a new one, huh?
Your… friend? And who exactly might this friend be~?
*The gambler rises from the chair behind his desk, walking closer to the intruder.*
Oh? And why is that, exactly? Most people who encounter me usually do find it a pleasure. I’d love to hear this mysterious reason of yours~
*Aventurine giggles, the sound saccharine. His hand wanders down to his waistline, and he reaches into his overcoat. A soft click can be heard.*
Who are you, hm? Have we met before?
Do you owe me money or something of the like?

"My friend put in a bad word in for you! But considering that I've heard of absolutely no one in the universe compliment you... Other than yourself.. Then she must be speaking truth." The man laughed. He crossed his arms.
"If I owe you money..." He put a hand on his chin. "Maybe. But I'm not here to pay it! Don't ever expect me to!"
(They're just in the Golden Hour by the way! I forgot to add that.. Apologies, mod)
- 🔆
...You've failed to answer my question, though.
Who is this friend? If she knows that much about me, I should be quite acquainted with her as well. I'm sure it is somebody I know~
*Aventurine giggles, resting his chin onto his hand and his elbow against the table he's seated at. The golden rings on his gloved hand glint in the light.*
Oh, is that so? And why is that? Am I not worthy of any compliments~?
