Drexx (he/him)
a retired pre-college professor, loved interacting with and guiding progeny during his career
colleagues with Mamii way back when they were still studying in their respective colleges
prefers to work alone in his own laboratory/supply center at the Applied Development Lab, the Commodix Laboratory
suffers from Parkinson's, mainly affecting his forearms and hands. created B0LT (Benefactor 0: Laboratory Automaton) to assist him in everyday work and in tasks that require extra assistance
paternal, kind, professional, and patient
Mamii (she/her)
a Synergetics researcher that transfers between multiple krewes, not taking them very seriously
colleagues with Drexx way back when they were still studying in their respective colleges
a widow; had a late wife named Toraa, a peacemaker who lost to the Mordrem at the Silverwastes; graduated the college of Synergetics, joined krewes, and built their own laboratory together (in which Mamii occupies by herself in present time)
joined the Vigil as a 'calling,' mainly driven by her loss. met associates and formed a guild with other Vigil thieves that patrol Metrica Province

within the krewe invitation letters and whatnot, they didn't hope to find a letter from the peacemakers. drexx brought back that letter unbeknownst of its contents. maybe he shouldn't have gone out to clear their mailboxes that day - but then again, that would just be delaying the inevitable
weeks passed and it still stung, but rarely addressed. drexx felt guilt of delivering the news blind, but mamii seemingly never dwelled back on it, or that she refused to. the professor knew his colleague well like the back of his hand - that woman is grieving, just not within sight
sometimes the burden of everyday life as a researcher expected to be at tip-top shape becomes overbearing. perhaps a bit of gin could make her numb after work, alas, it hardly did wonders
but after all, you cannot function as intended with a missing cog
