oooohhh thought of something else.
what do you think the significance of the zebra that calls Candance Kevin is ?
it was one of those reoccurring jokes in the show and i always found it a bit funny. and for the most part that's probably all it is. just funny.
buuuut in the episode where they go into candances mind the zebra is there. and so if more or less everything in her head represents something about candance.
what could the zebra be? any ideas ? 🤔
The zebra seems to be either a recurring figment of Candace's imagination
Tumblr media Tumblr media
or a dimension-traveler (from a dimension where Candace is known as Kevin) in-show,

but the meta reason for its existence seems to just be so there can be a running gag for Candace.

the thing about you trying to fit in with outcasts. mood. cause its like in my personal experience i figured id fit in with them beacuase i always thought of myself as an outcast cause thats what other people saw. but then after a while its like,
just kinda being in a group of sad people that complain about being sad all the time but not actually doing anything to change that because if theyre not sad outcasts then theres reallly nothing else going on there.
idk. just some thoughts that popped up after your post.
(also i unfollwed by accident sowwwiii)
Oh yeah, my experiences were kind of similar. Although in my case it was more people defining themselves as 'ex-middle school victims' which. Like, I think we do need to have conversations on peer abuse/bullying and the negative effects it can have. It's important to talk about how much it can hurt to go through that.
But at the same time, because a lot of them primarily seemed to define themselves as such, it felt like they, well, became really ignorant to the harm they were causing others in certain spaces. Because in their minds, everyone who disagreed with them and their antics were exactly the same as their bullies. (I distinctly remember certain people in that group assuming that just because a person headcanons a character as queer, they must be the type of person that sends death threats to others. Which is uh... quite a stretch, to say the least. It was also one of the first red flags I remembered seeing.)
I feel like that is the danger of defining yourself heavily by victim status, I think. Because 1) it leads to a crab-bucket mentality, which isn't healthy. And 2) it kind of creates this mental block which prevents you from introspecting on yourself. Because if you're a victim, and you can only see yourself as a victim, then in your mind you can't cause harm onto other people. And only other people can cause harm to you, even if you end up lashing out at people who don't deserve it.

sort of not serious-serious question as im rewatching all of phineas and ferb.
would you consider Candance turning out to be a vampire a canon phineas and ferb adventure or just a stand alone special type of deal ?
I feel like since it was technically a Halloween episode it doesn't reeeeallly count. but also it would be really funny if it kind of did lol
It happened in an episode that wasn't actually a dream (like “Phineas and Ferb Get Busted” was), a parallel universe (like “Lost in Danville”), a story (like “Terrifying Tri-State Trilogy of Terror”), or a show-within-a-show (like “Ferb TV”) and it didn't have a disclaimer that it wasn't canon (like “Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars” did), so I consider it to be canon that she was briefly turned into a vampire in “The Curse of Candace!” (Also, mermaids, leprechauns, and other such creatures exist in the PnFverse, so it aligns just fine with the show’s lore.)

hows nanorimo going ?
Excited! I can’t believe it’s only one week away! I’m only aiming for 30,000 words this time round because I’m worried I’ll be busy, but I’m going to really try to complete it fully.

what's you reverse unpopular opinion ?
You’re gonna need to send me a topic to have a reverse unpopular opinion on. But since you didn’t, I think I’ll choose… superheroes to have a reverse unpopular opinion on.
I find that, even though currently superheroes are a pretty big part of the cultural landscape nowadays and it’s a subgenre that’s arguably saturated, there’s still a lot about the genre which I find appealing.
Namely, I think many people resonate with the idea of somehow, being able to be someone who can stand up for their communities against dangers. A lot of superheroes either start out as completely regular people, or start out thinking that they’re completely regular people. And so stories about gaining power, discovering power, and learning how to most responsibly use that power probably resonate with a lot of people. In particular, I think about why it might resonate with a lot of young people during interesting times throughout history.
And yeah, the whole “with great power comes great responsibility” thing is largely a Spiderman thing, and the appeal of other superheroes may be different. But Spiderman’s appeal is one of the easiest for me to understand, probably because most Spiderpeople have been young people, and duty and responsibility has been a big theme in a lot of their stories.

School uniforms are a weird thing, because knowing my personal style I probably would have willingly worn knee-length and longer skirts and button-up blouses to school because of the wizard-librarian aesthetic. But then uniforms have to come and suck up much of the fun of that, which is now I don’t have a choice in wearing it and the uniform has to be worn a certain way.

this has been bugging me for like 2 hours and Google doesn't know what i mean but I Swear there was a name for this:
what's that love interest archetype cliche thing where the main character basically ends up with a genderbent version of themselves?
ex:
Buttercup and Boomer (Powerpuff girls)
Basically any Powerpuff x Rowdy Ruff ship
Oscar the grouch and Grundgetta
e.t.c
Hm, I'm not really sure what exactly it's called. But a quick look at tvtropes brought up Birds of a Feather, which seems adjacent to that. And some subtropes listed under there which seem similar to what you're talking about include Look-Alike Lovers, Pair the Dumb Ones, and Pair the Smart Ones.
I hope this helps. ^^
