I'm not sure if I asked this already, sorry if I did, but what inspired your icon?

So, my icons have been pictures of Nergal Junior since the beginning of this blog, when it was under a whole different name. I wanted to make something new, to fit my new URL. I figured that strawberries and amanitas were a necessary addition, and I added the colors Barbie Pink and Baker-Miller pink (same as my blog colors) because those colors make me happy; the "Welcome to Hell :3" is typed out in a Barbie font that I found on one of those free font sites.

Despite all that, I still felt like I wanted to honor one of my OG Blorbos, and so I added Junior anyhow

trips in here to tell you abt some of my favorite stuff

hi. horrible xB girlie here. everything is part of the blorbo centric polycule to me & i come out of every season with a stupid new rarepair but. s7 in particular made me stupid crazy about xbetho and xbdubs. and the differences between the two? xb has his PvP arena and keeps inviting Etho out to spar and just absolutely kicking his ass, and xB’s the type to taunt about it - but he also pspspses Etho out to upgrade the arena with redstone, anvil droppers and pop-up armor stands, and i just. love the idea of a sort of rivals-to-lovers thing developing out of there. they love the competition but it’s enriching and supportive and wanting to see the best most batshit violence out of each other. it’s telling each other to get good and then actually encouraging it. and god the fact that xB staunchly refuses to unsubscribe from shade-e-e’s bc he doesn’t think Etho will keep making trips allllll the way out to his base and Etho DOES anyways - insane. crazy. meanwhile with bdubs, the vibe is - completely opposite. xb starts with flattery and does not stop. proposing they combine their redstone shops and hyping up bdubs’ building, how gorgeous his work is, and immediately offering a 50% cut despite carrying way more stock and being the one that has a deal with xisuma for redstone - and bdubs stammers over that and seems shocked and flustered and of course jumps right into the deal! designs a BEAUTIFUL new shop for the both of them bc xB’s been singing his praises and then still seems to hardly know what to do with himself as xB gives him half profits (and usually the extra if it’s an uneven amt). the mayor’s office starts on road passes and xB seems annoyed and put out about their shop being blocked and bdubs marches into city hall and grabs their shop paperwork and insists that he works here, he shouldn’t have to do it, they can pull it down. even when it comes to aqua town, xB rolls into the district and is just an endless font of praise that bdubs responds to with offering him the world and I am just. so nuts. two babygirls meets and it’s like a singularity of “I would lay down my life for you”. compared to xB and Etho who are throwing rocks at each other (but like for fun).

What do you mean "I'm working on a movie (that is not the movie of the Sleep thing)"?

No no no, ISWM was the final boss of the whole channel. If you think I'm going to be capable of loving any new characters more than Engiemoo, you are sorely mistaken, and especially not even a year out from when he was introduced. He overpowered Warfstache, which was something I long considered to be fully impossible.

Unless he is making the Plastic Man movie himself, he will not be able to top Space/Engie for me. Straight up completely impossible. The heartwarming/blorbo slot is filled.

I think he mentioned horror, and...no. He needs to develop an entirely new kit of tricks in order to be effective there, and needs to learn how to avoid undercutting all the tension he builds up with jokes. He also uses the same timing on every scare he's done for the past 7 years. That, coupled with the predictable kit he has (same font, glitch effect, sound effects, color grading, etc.) kneecaps his ability to utilize the element of surprise.

That one-sided interview was straight up kino, even if it was for...again, a project that he undercut with silliness when it had the potential to be greater. When I put the Blade Runner music behind that, I saw a brief glimpse into him leveling up with film direction. He needs to learn more about scoring, though. I know a lot of people like the music he selects for his works, but I have to be honest when I say I find his scoring ability to be lacking. He needs to hire someone who knows a lot of different genres and instruments, and can tap into the strangeness he is good at evoking in his works. A basic piano and some simple synths won't cut it.

This is one place where his lack of knowledge about music is going to actively hold him back. Proper music allows a lot of works to punch above their weight, or even just give their moments the correct weight and tone that they require.
