hiii nameless ghoul headcanons with moth time :]
okok so . i was thinking . i feel like all the ghouls from primo, secendo, and the first half of terzos era were maybe all like, more,, proper? put together? like, they knew their role, and were professional about it. strong, proper figures summon strong, proper ghouls sort of thing. but then when the ghouls changed during terzos era, it was,, a bit rushed (again this is all hc-- nothing to do with the actual reasoning. for hc reasons were just gonna say the original ghouls like, had other things within the ministry they were needed more for.) But, that sorta rushed summoning led to,, kinda sillier ghouls. not that they didn't still take it seriously, but yknow, they were kinda goofs. ifrits hopping along the stage, aether and dews shenanigans, all that. and I imagine like. oh BOY that was a change for terzo ,, and then when copia came along, because there was already newer ghouls, he didn't see a point in summoning entirely new ones-- but the ones he did summon turned out just as unserious-- like how the confident papas of the past summoned strong ghouls, copia wasn't as confident, and while he still summoned good ghouls-- oh boy did he get chaotic ones.
((also yes im sure the past ghouls were still goofy on stage and stuff-- these are just based on the footage ive seen!! and they're just hc's, you don't have to agree lol))

So this post came across my dash again and it made me think things again and since nobody can stop me I will talk about it now.
So for anyone that didn't click on the link for some reason, the post is about how each of the ghoul's masks is a little different. They have different horns and patches on the mask itself for example. This is probably not something you would be able to spot on stage unless you pay really close attention. But it is really cute how they each have a personalized mask instead of all being the same.
This made me think about two things: 1) What if the ghouls start out with basically a base of the mask which they get to personalize how they feel like. 2) What if the other masks were all personalized as well but just not in a way it could have been spotted by people.
Because I love the idea of a new ghoul sitting down with the pack where the others explain how this works. Some choose to do it all by themselves and some do it with the others. Now there are some things that can't be changed but it's still a fun thing to do. If a ghoul ever retires from touring they get to keep their mask.
Now I can see Primo and Secondo not really caring about things like that so their ghouls all had the same masks but Terzo? You know that man did something extra to them. They all start out looking the same but one day he asks all his ghouls to hand them over, doesn't explain why and he just vanishes with them for a while.
When he is back he just hands them over again, from the front they look the same but the inside is now engraved. It has the same symbols as their uniforms down one side. On the other, there is a more personal symbol (like for Omega it's the Ω). But the most important thing is what is engraved on the forehead a short sentence in Latin. It is different for all of them but it reminds them that to their Papa they aren't just some nameless ghouls.
Copia I think just took that concept and ran with it, at first when still a cardinal he just copies what Terzo did. There are some symbols and a short sentence though it is the same for them all since by that point he didn't know them too well. But oh when he becomes a Papa? He goes all in and you know it.
When he presents the ghouls with the base mask they are all confused since well it seems to be missing things. That is when he tells them, maybe a bit too excited, that they would get to choose those missing things. He goes over everything with them explains what is possible and what is not and just lets them have fun. They don't actually put the mask together all finished since that would be chaos but they get to choose everything and get an idea of how it will look.
When he gets the personalized masks back he adds one more thing, two patches on the inside. One says who the mask belongs to and the other with a short Latin sentence, each one different but reminding them all that they are more than nameless ghouls.

Just Witchy Stuff (Nameless Poly!Ghouls x OC) Part 4
Summary: As a witch, Ollie lives a quiet life. While most people find her stingy or eccentric in her beliefs and superstitions her presence is well known around the town as that 'witch' at the corner with her little witchy shop. But unlike what people think she has been around a very long time - never staying too long in one town for them to realize she never seems to age. Because of her moving around she wracks up a lot of favors. What she didn't expect was for one of her old favors to show up at her doorstep. This is her adventure!
AN: Ollie is an old OC of mine based on a lot of myself that shows a glimpse of the writer behind the writings :) Enjoy!

[With Mountain]
He worried he wouldn't make it in time. Ollie hadn't given Mountain instructions on where to find Moss. Only that she was needed for 'the mirror' and that Moss knew what that meant. But from his previous interactions with the Fae she had mentioned she enjoyed most of her time at the antique store that she worked at. But would she be there? It was awful late and Mountain knew little of the habits of non-hellish creatures besides humans.
The streets were empty and the cool air chilled the sweat that clung to his black shirt cooling him off but making him feel icky at the same time as it stuck to his skin - it was fine though. His packmate was in danger to himself and to others...and he would never forgive himself if he took too long to find the fae; to return with her only to find Ollie dead.
The very idea stung his heart more than he cared to admit. He refused to find anything but admiration for the witch but he could not deny deep down that perhaps the admiration was something more than it seemed. Her knowledge of herbology intrigued him and he wanted to see another day that he could drag her away from her store to show her all the wonders of the garden he kept pristine and flourishing in Primo's garden back at the Abbey.
His packmates too felt the pull that little witch seemed to not realize was so evident among them. Was it her magic that called to them, her beauty, or maybe the depth of the mystery of boundless knowledge that swam in her gaze? He was afraid to find out. He was more afraid of not having the chance to find out.
So he searched; racing with an inhuman speed he did not use often towards the old-looking window store a block away from Ollie's shop. The windows were dark and the door was locked with the 'closed' sign displayed on the window of the door. He should have figured out as much since it was so early in the morning. Did the Fae live here like Ollie lived in her store or did she live elsewhere? Should he find a way in and find out?
He paced around the shop trying to find a window or a door he could get through. There was a back door but it was locked tight and beside the front window there were no other windows to go through. He was stumped and his tail lashed in frustration. He normally never lost his cool - always prided himself on being the calmest and most rational of his pack mates but this was an emergency. He didn't have the luxury of time!
"Mountain? What a surprise." a light voice spoke up from behind him and he spun feeling his hackles raise.
He was greeted with the smaller form of the fae he had been searching for; her attire was casual in a pretty floor-length floral dress, cardigan, and flats despite the chill of October - the weather seemed to not affect her in the least as it idly picked up a few strays of her pale purple locks to float in front of her far too green eyes.
"Moss." he forced his body to relax from its position of guard but he still felt the tension in his shoulders as he tipped his head at her in greetings.
Moss tilted her head back at him as she watched him curiously. "What is it? What is the matter?" she asked softly in the same proper and polite voice he had come to associate with her regal demeanor despite her down to earth girl look she was giving off at first glance.
She was too sweet. Too kind. Too oblivious to what chaos he had seen not hours before; or perhaps she wasn't. What did he know about the Faes anyway? Nothing but if she was friends with the chaotic witch then she must not be as innocent as she portrays herself to be. Still, Mountain had come on a mission and he would not fail Ollie.
"There's no real time to explain. Ollie needs the mirror." he stated firmly.
At the mention of the mirror her brows furrowed and her posture changed; there was a tension about her now - a seriousness as she registered his words.
"How bad are we talking?"
Mountain grunted and looked back at her shop. "Ollie's in trouble. Dewdrop's in trouble. She asked for the mirror and for Evangeline."
This seemed to spur her into motion as she gave a curt nod and pulled out her keys swiftly from her purse. "I was afraid of that. It is not often she needs us. But when she does; it's bad. Come. The mirror is inside. Have you found Evangaline yet?" she asked as she unlocked the door and swiftly entered.
Unlike Ollie's shop, the antique store was filled to the brim with all sorts of items. From old trinkets to furniture. Old dolls and vases. Shelves of old dusty books and things that any other normal person would have thought were junk. But Moss knew her way around the store like it was the back of her hand. Allowing him entry after her as she swept through on quick feet towards the back of the store to the register where she snuck behind and knelt to open a cabinet with another key that hung from her neck.
"Rain went to go find her." Mountain finally said as he peered over the countertop to watch as the Fae unlocked the cabinet and withdrew a wooden chest.
But instead of using another key to open the chest she withdrew the brooch that she had pinned into her hair and unclasped it until the needle point was pulled from its clasp. She pricked her finger until a drop of blood gathered at the tip which she then pressed against the emblem that should have held a keyhole. It opened after a few seconds and from within she grasped an ordinary-looking hand mirror. It was gold but the polish was chipping away and the mirror was cracked. It was old - much older than anything else in this store by the looks of it.
She rose and placed it in her bag instead of giving it to him. At Mountain's disgruntled noise of confusion, she faced him with a firm expression on her face.
"This item is far too precious to allow in just anyone's hands, I'm afraid. I'm coming with you."
The tall ghoul shook his head quickly. "Too dangerous."
Moss placed a hand on her hip and took a step forward. "That wasn't a question Mountain. If Ollie is asking for her items that means she also needs us. She can't do this without us and knowing her....if she's asking for her artifacts...she's not strong enough to banish this threat alone."
She brushed past him quickly and headed for the door. "Come on! We don't have much time."
~
[With Rain]
How do you find someone who you never met before? Any normal person wouldn't be able to without some serious help. But Rain had a name and a location; that was good enough for him. His only concern was the fact that it was so early in the morning. The sky was starting to lighten with the coming sun and that meant people would be on the streets soon. He had to get to this Pixie quickly for Ollie's sake.
But was it for Ollie's sake or for Dew's? Both were in danger right now. Whatever creature Papa had summoned was dangerous. More than just some mishap mistake of summoning the wrong kind of demon. Whatever this Vinashesk creature was it was not something Rain had ever heard of. Not even when he was down in hell himself. This supernatural demon was dangerous and it was something Ollie feared.
He did not know much about the human witch but he had seen the way his packmates reacted to her presence; how Mountain seemed instantly intrigued by her, how Swiss couldn't seem to take his gaze from her - how Aether seemed overly protective of the area she was in...how Dewdrop seemed to study her in a way the water ghoul hadn't seen him interested in another thing; except maybe his guitar. He had felt it too even when he hadn't interacted with her much. She had a certain calm energy among the chaoticness of her aura that reminded him of a safe place. A form of light in her that came with knowledge and unknown mystery that his curious personality could not quite detach himself from. She had done so much to help them already...to help Dewdrop that he wouldn't allow himself the thought that he could lose her. He wanted to get to know her better and see what kind of stories she had to tell.
And so he searched. He followed the path back toward Ollie's shop. Catching a scent of Mountain on the way as well along the floral he'd come to recognize as Moss - Ollie's friend they had briefly met. But he passed the shops and went further still until he stopped at the sign that read 'Pixie's Reads.'
A cute name befitting the pixie herself no doubt. But the bookstore was closed; obviously and he didn't know if he should look around. Feeling jittery and lost he scanned the front of the building. It looked old - well-aged with time but well-loved if the decor had anything to say about it. But there was a light in the interior he could make out in the windows up front so he knocked on the wooden door. Well, actually he banged more like it. Scared that he was wasting precious time and not willing to risk time he did not have.
He banged once and when there was no answer he banged again, and then again for good measure. Inwardly begging that the aforementioned Pixie was inside the book store. When he was beginning to panic thinking perhaps it was just a light left on before she had gone home that night the door unlocked and swung open.
Rain was stunned for a moment as he stared down at the figure standing in the doorway. She was small, smaller than even Dew with warm bronzed skin and big doe-like brown eyes peeking up at him from under thick lashes. Not black...but green. Frosty green fucking lashes that matched the pretty green of her hair and peaking from the thick waves of her hair were two pointed elf ears that had little flower earrings dangling from the tips. Her button nose speckled with snowy white freckles like the backside of a baby fawn wrinkled up a bit as she pouted with full lips while she assessed the masked figure on her doorstep.
"Well, sugar, I'm sorry but I think you got Halloween night a few days early." her voice was a gentle southern drawl as she cocked a hip against the doorframe and clasped her dainty hands together in front of her.
"Are yer lost?"
Rain blinked and shook his head quickly before clearing his throat trying to find his voice. She was too cute and sweet that it literally caught him off guard for a moment.
"I'm sorry to bother you. Evangline. But Ollie sent me...she's in trouble and she needs her black grimoire."
This big brown doe eyes widened impossibly bigger and her lips parted in surprise before they suddenly narrowed and she squinted up at him.
"How do I know yer aint tryin' fool me?" she demanded placing her hands on her hips like a scolding mother. "Aint nobody supposed to know about her grimoire now."
Rain fidgeted with his hands. "We don't have much time. Please. I can explain on the way! But she's in danger...my packmate is in danger and Ollie needs her grimoire!"
Evangeline huffed and crossed her arms. "That's all yah got, honey? Please, do yah know how many demons come knocking on my door asking for a witch's artifact pretending they need it for good?! Aint nobody trusts a demon who claims to be up to good."
Rain blew out a breath and he slammed his hands against either side of the doorframe - his body bent looming over the tiny creature in front of him as he bore down at her with his silvery baby blues from behind his mask.
"Please!" Rain sighed hanging his head. "She needs it to help with the Vinashesk."
The pixie jolted backward as if that word alone was more scary than his sudden aggressiveness. Her eyes widened like saucers and she shook her head quickly as she clasped a hand to her heart.
"The Vinashesk? What in heaven's name got her tangled up with one of them creatures?!" she demanded breathlessly.
"It's a long story...will you help?"
"Of course I'll help! Ollie is one of my closest friends! No fae creature alive would deny that gurl!" she huffed while spinning on her heel and rushing back into the darkness of her bookshop.
Rain was left hanging at the door peering into the darkness as he watched her scramble for something inside of a locked chest behind the counter. He couldn't see her opening it because her slight frame was in the way but he wasn't left for long as she was quick on her feet to race back to him with a bundle wrapped in a brown cloth clutched tightly in her hands.
"Come on now! Ollie needs us!" the pixie demanded as she ducked beneath his arms and was racing down the street before the demonic creature could even move.
[At the Abbey]
Copia watched anxiously from the window as the sun began to shine. The curtains were still drawn tight though besides the small sliver he had pulled back to watch the corridors beyond. Any light beside a candle made Dew go into an absolute frenzy. But currently, he was calm; well as calm as he could be. According to Swiss and Aether the fire ghoul was currently rocking back and forth in the corner of his room having some sort of internal breakdown as he coped; the room he had trashed to bits in minutes after Ollie had been dragged out of it. The multi-ghoul had to grab Dew's precious instruments before he had a chance to destroy those too and regret it later when he was back to normal.
Copia had returned back to the ghoul den with some food and fresh clothing he'd borrowed from one of the sisters for Ollie to change into when he'd watched as Aether dragged the girl out of the hazard zone and back into the anxious tense atmosphere of the common room where the ghoulettes were currently making the witch as comfortable as they could.
Sunshine had bathed the girl to the best of her abilities in the current state the human was in with some wet towels to clean up the blood and used Mountain's stash of ointments to bind her wounds while Cumuls and Cirrus helped redress her into clothes that were not torn and blooded; making sure she was comfortable in her comatose state. Yes, a comatose state.
According to Aether, Copia had been informed, that Ollie had hashed out a plan to retract her from Dewdrop's clutches and inform him of what had happened. The fresh bite mark on her shoulder was a nasty bit and his only fear was that whatever poison the hellish creature had gotten Dew had poisoned Ollie as well. But there were no signs at all of distress from the knocked-out woman.
"She's going to be alright...won't she, Papa?" Sunshine asked looking up at the man with worried yellow eyes.
"Of course, tesero! Ollie is a strong witch. She has faced worse I'm sure...she knows what she's doing." but did she? Did Copia believe it? He had to for everybody's sake - especially Ollie's.
Sister Imperator had been breathing down his neck wondering what all the fuss was. Wondering what was wrong with the fire ghoul. Their tour was coming up soon and instead of practicing as they should be. One ghoul was out of commission and the others refused to make a replacement so that practice could continue. Even Copia threw the tour out the window in favor of this chaos. If there was one thing Sister Imperator hated it was a change of unwelcoming plans. Of her schedule and expectations being thrown off the rail like a speeding out-of-control train.
"Is Mountain and Rain back yet?" Aether asked looking up from where he sat silently on the couch. Ollie's head resting comfortably on his lap as he eased more of his quintessence into her to keep her stabilized.
"I don't see signs of them yet but I'm sure-"
The door burst open with the mixed scent of the familiar ghouls and two unfamiliar females. Mountain and Rain ushered their respective tasks inside before locking the door behind them.
Moss and Evangaline took in the scene around them with equal parts concern and wariness before their eyes fell on the pale woman lying in a ghoul's lap.
"Oh, sweetheart." Evangeline rushed forward and knelt by the woman's side and took her cold hand. "What have yah gotten yerself into?"
Moss braced herself at the back of the couch staring down at the unusually pale and sunken face of her friend and her features deepened into a frown.
"She isn't going to be much use if she's a husk." she commented receiving a disapproving glare from the pixie on the floor.
"So do something and restore her energy!" she quipped back.
"In a minute." Moss turned her back to them and instead addressed Copia. "I've been informed that you had summoned a Vinashesk, and that it started all of this?" she waved her hands around the room.
"Si si...." Copia looked awkwardly at the floor so that he didn't have the meet the disapproving glare of the Fae staring him down.
"Is it contained?"
"Si...we sent it back already...this is us...it had gotten to one of our ghouls beforehand."
Moss pinched the bridge of her nose. "And do you know what a Vinashesk is?"
a group of silent head shakes all around causing another upheaval of frustration of the Fae as she brushed her hair back from her face and turned to look at everybody else.
"A Vinashesk is an energy feeder. Similar to Banshees. While Banshees don't take victims they do cipher the grief and sadness of those they warn of their or their loved ones impending demise. A Vinashesk is a curropted form of a banshee...They are like..." she waved her hands around trying to find words to describe them when Evangeline piped up.
"They are the residue husk of what a vanquished banshee is. Banshees are spirits you see but even spirits and ghosts are able to be vanquished. They are simply souls who passed tragically unable to move on and eventually become Harolds of mourning and grief. If a banshee is vanquished without fulfilling it's basic human desire that tethers them to the astral plain they decay...and turn into a Vinashesk. Those nasty buggers are energy feeders. They feed off of the auras and energies of any living creature - A witch is...my," the pixie shook her head flustered.
"A witch is the golden ticket to return topside." Moss muttered crossing her arms.
"That's what Dew was doing then? he was feeding off of her magic? But why? He's already a demon." Rain shook his head in confusion.
"Because it's the will of the Vinashesk. They're decaying spirits. Desperate and hungry. Always so hungry. If they do not feed on substantial energy or magic they literally just....fade away and die. Every spirit or soul wants to live and with a vengeful entity like a Vinashesk they want nothing more." Moss explained looking down at Ollie with a troubled look.
The room fell into silence until Aether finally spoke up. "So are you telling us that...Dewdrop is turning into one of them? Because of the poison that thing injected him with?"
"I'm afraid so honey. They use poison they contain in their claws to the bloodstream like spores. Decaying and twisting the mind of its host until there is nothing left but the mind and instinct of a Vinashesk in the body of someone you may have once known ." Evangaline murmured almost apologetically.
"So what do we do? We can't lose Dew...or Ollie." Mountain stated from his position by the door.
"Oh, yah won't lose them, honey. That's why Ollie sent yah for us! She's been around such a long time..she has a trick or two up her sleeve." Evangeline smiled warmly up at the giant before she grabbed the cloth-wrapped book she'd left on the floor upon entry.
"What's that?" Sunshine asked peering over at the bundle.
The pixie unraveled the bundle to reveal an old tattered black leather journal just as Moss grabbed the cracked mirror from her purse.
"These, these are Ollie's secret weapons."

The Ministry was a mystery to outsiders. They practically had their little corner of the world set there. The Clergy were secretive and for a good reason. With changes in the world came the adjustments alongside it for everyone.  Celia  knew it well the moment she stepped inside the two wooden doors.  Sister Imperator  gave her a brisk smile before her lips curved downward into a neutral countenance. "I see you're adjusting quite well," Sister Imperator commented. Nameless ghouls and ghoulettes alike were already roaming at this hour. "I'm finding it amicable and interesting here,"  Celia  replied as she lifted her head to look at  Sister Imperator  properly. "Indeed." They walked side by side by the stained glass windows. Primo and Secondo acknowledged Imperator with a curt nod. The older one's dull eyes wandered over to  Celia  and then  Sister Imperator  as if to figure out what they were thinking.  Celia  looked back at him for a brief moment, giving him a friendly smile. He didn't return it nor acknowledge it. Secondo only scowled at the both of them in silence.  Terzo  padded past them with a smug look on his face; he was clearly in a good mood. Out of all the Papa's, she had to admit that he was the most flamboyant. He did have that aura of being the one to rope people in with his charisma and magnetic phrases. Some Sisters of Sin described his words being coated with honey and his voice smoother than velvet. Terzo was quite amorous when it came to the Sister's 'needs'.  Celia  kept out of it and could tell  Sister Imperator  disapproved by the glance she gave him as he walked by. She even looked irritated, but it faded away as her eyes lit up in actualization. But only for a wink. "Is the Ritual in the morning?" Celia asked in an attempt to rid the odd occurrence from her mind.  Sister Imperator  made a small 'Hm?' sound as she turned aside, "Certainly." Celia  nodded and clasped her hands together over her midsection, " Terzo  will be leading it?" "Per usual... Why do you ask?"  Imperator  questioned with a lifted brow, squinting with a speck of suspicion in her eyes.  Celia  shook her head, "Just wondering, that's all." "Don't tell me you're getting ideas." Celia  gave her an incredulous look, "I'm not going to get into that if that's what you're insinuating." "It's exactly what I'm insinuating." Celia  let out a huff of mild annoyance and continued walking. "Best to get what's on the board for today done."
The board was the best investment in Celia's opinion. It was better than turning and asking the person next to you what was next, only to find out that what was next had been done already. Everyone took turns organizing the list, even though Sister Imperator did the majority of it. She was relieved to see they were simple yet time-consuming. The way she liked it. Clean the windows in the inner sanctuary, and make sure everything was set for the next Ritual. Celia gave all three boxes a checkmark before walking away. "Noon? Maybe I can get it done a few hours before the sun goes down. Maybe at Four..." She mumbled as she assembled the supplies she needed from a nearby closet.
Celia started by cleaning the windows with care. The stained glass always gave this sanctuary a sense of tranquility despite the macabre work on the walls. The Grucifix hung against the pew and walls; all positioned to be across from each other. She took great care in taking them off the walls to give them a quick polish. Secondo  often let the ghouls do it, but they stopped due to him 'nagging' them about them not doing it right. Celia  shook her head as she recalled Dew's colorful choice of words regarding Secondo.
Meanwhile, in the main hall of the Ministry,  Sister Imperator was speaking to  Papa Nihil. She was displeased with  Terzo's  progress and had no problem voicing it. Even a Grammy did not satisfy her obvious displeasure. In her opinion, it was still not enough. "Maybe if your oldest son had won something, we would have something to celebrate." Nihil  frowned at that. "We need someone new-- a Firm leader. We're going to need some new blood. Someone slighter younger, but someone who will also need your help." A loud, heavy knock came from the front door. A silhouette stood stiffly, their shadow visible from the small space underneath the door. "Ah... He's here already!"

𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐒 :
Wednesday is significantly darker than within the canon of the show. She is a murderer and she's not afraid to kill again. She has no issues with things like cannibalism and would never work with the police — possibly to the point of sabotaging their investigation. She would also actively attempt to kill people like Tyler and Laurel once she knew they were her enemies. She is however still very much against bigotry with a strong though maybe twisted sense of justice.
Wednesday is ACTUALLY EXCITED to go to Faulkner Academy and to engage in Teenage Social Activities. She reviled it and had no interest at all when she was surrounded by normies but in the context of a place full of people more like her she's much more amicable to the idea. She's still upset with her parents, it's a complex thing, but she does see this as a chance to experiment. And Experiment is a literal term here — she is absolutely looking at social interactions and events as though a scientist in a lab. Naturally this falls apart as things go on, much to her horror.
Wednesday is a much better detective than in canon. She never thinks Xavier is the Hyde, she takes photos of all the evidence in the Gates Mansion, she doesn't go around wildly accusing people, she collects data on as many people as possible to narrow the suspects and then stalks them to narrow it down further.
Wednesday is basically an EVIL CATHOLIC. The lore of the band GHOST is actually canon here on this blog which basically means that there is a church of the Anti-Christ/Satan that is basically the Catholic Church but Goth and with Better Music and that their current goal is to take over and convert the world via a metal band. Also to birth the Anti-Christ. She has actually fairly religious, nothing insane but she is practicing. Basically for her listening to Ghost is like listening to chri.sti.an ro.ck. Also her godfather is TERZO aka PA.PA EME.RIT.US I.I.I, the third anti-pope and lead singer since the band started. After he was killed along with Primo and Secundo and put on display she tried to cut off and steal his fingers for reliquaries but was dragged away by the Nameless Ghouls.
Wednesday is GENUINELY ALLERGIC TO COLOR. Think of something like a very serious peanut allergy, that's basically what she has. She carries an epipen on her at all times and will need to rigorously wash her skin after touching color to try to avoid/lessen the rash.
