Hiatus, let's talk about it! So, I haven't posted anything in awhile because my laptop broke...tea got spilled on it and now my keys do not want to type the right things and type extra shit they aren't supposed to. I haven't had the chance to get it fixed yet so I have not posted anything.
I know I have a lot of requests pending for prompts and one shots and I'm so sorry for the wait, I hope you can be a bit more patient. I'm trying! It's kind of hard to write anything on just a phone and takes a lot of time and editing to do so! But I haven't forgotten you guys!
Thank you all for sticking around and liking my other writings still though despite not bringing anything new to the table right now! Much love and appreciation for you!

Ask time! (Hopefully your asks are open...if not, my most sincere apologies!)
Here's an interesting topic for you - Ghouls, and dirty talk...
Who's got a natural talent for it?
Who doesn't, but works hard on improving themselves?
Who's less interested talk...and much more interested in action?
Who practices in front of a mirror while they stutter and blush?
Who needs to work on their skills so that they and the object of their affections can stop bursting into fits of giggles with every attempt?
Who has the ability to simply walk right up to you, whisper absolute *filth* into your ear and have you walking in a horny (and wet) daze for an hour afterwards?
👀 😍
Yay! I'm glad to pick at that Dark! So let's see...
Interesting topic indeedy! - Ghouls, and dirty talk…Let's talk about it; it's just from my point of view but let's see what comes up!
Who's got a natural talent for it?
Who's got a talent for it? I'd definitely say Swiss. Because he's very very…let's just say obscene on the stage as is anyway during shows; very high energy and his microphone stand and platform get more action than anything else! I think he'd naturally exude sexuality both off-stage and on-stage with a very flirty personality. I think he'd like to tease the Siblings with flirty pickup lines and some just pure food for thought that'd leave them reeling not sure whether he is serious or not. But if he's serious, I'd definitely think he'd know just what to say to get under your skin to leave you thinking about nothing else but him.
Who doesn't, but works hard on improving themselves?
Now this one was a flip-a-coin sort of question because it could honestly either be Phantom or Dewdrop. Although both have a level of sexuality on stage as well they don't beat Swiss. Dewdrop is just lewd and being a newer member who's practically under Dewdrop's Wing, I think Phantom would take the cake for this one because he's just getting a feel of himself; playing off of body language and subtle hints simply by watching Dewdrop I think Phantom would be the one who isn't good at flirting or trying to be filthy but would seriously give it his best shot to be impression - he is after all, whether subconsciously or consciously, trying to mimic Dewdrop in that aspect to be more appealing to fans during shows; and let's face it. He's doing a great job, try and error make the best results sometimes!
Who's less interested talk…and much more interested in action?
That would definitely be Dewdrop. Apart from Swiss who's all tease; we all see how flustered and up close and personal he gets with Rain during shows! He's always up there behind the little Water ghoul and he has no problem with being handsy whether it's grabbing Rain's neck, smacking people's butts, or even that one time he kissed Rain's neck. Should I say more? Perhaps he has a bit of a shy side when it comes to off stage but he's a Fireghoul after all, I think it comes as part of his nature. He's very handsy and he enjoys making people get flustered with his words as much as his touch. I feel like he'd be the type to subtly touch you some way or another whether it's grazing your neck or leaning closer to be intimidating while telling you just what he thinks about doing to you.
Who practices in front of a mirror while they stutter and blush?
Is this a serious question? Rain, all the way. Although, I'd like to point out he is getting a little more out of his comfort zone while on stage I do believe that Dewdrop and Phantom are rubbing off on him. I feel like he has little bursts of confidence while on stage that lets him get a little more loose during shows but it's a different matter when he's back home at the Clergy. It's one thing being in front of others during a show when he knows he doesn't physically interact with them in comparison to seeing the same faces of the Siblings back at the Abbey. I think he'd be the one to practice in the mirror at home in an attempt to try and be more confident but he's so embarrassed that he can't stop blushing and stuttering out his words because of how ridiculous it sounds coming from himself. But I also think it's a try-and-error sort of thing for him; the more he practices the more confidence he gets but it doesn't mean he won't mess up a pickup line or something when trying to seduce Siblings. It also doesn't help when he gets teased by the more outgoing members of his pack when they catch him trying out his lines in front of a mirror like a high school boy with his first crush.
Who needs to work on their skills so that they and the object of their affection can stop bursting into fits of giggles with every attempt?
Mountain. Plain and simple. He's an awkward tall giant. Not very familiar with other people and is very quiet so he doesn't often try to break out of his shell to try and be more daring with his interactions. He's more of a quiet ghoul who rather shows his affection in gifting others over dirty talk but I'd imagine Swiss and Dewdrop poking the bear a little saying he simply didn't have the ability to woe a girl besides little gifts. So perhaps Mountain takes it personally and puts himself out there; it's embarrassing to him as much as it is to those who try to woe with some uncharacteristic words just to try and prove the others wrong which only leaves the siblings he tries his lines on giggle because it's so out of character it is for him. But he lowkey does have a competitive bone in his body despite what people may think so he is very determined to prove others wrong about their assumption of him and may even surprise a few with what comes out of his mouth.
Who has the ability to simply walk right up to you, whisper absolute filth into your ear, and have you walking in a horny (and wet) daze for an hour afterward?
All of them! This honestly could be either of these three. Swiss, Dewdrop, or Phantom. While most would expect such things from the most outgoing of the ghouls that no doubt would make you dazed and confused with their straightforward attitude I feel like ANY of the ghouls could do that depending on the day. It's a given that Swiss, Dewdrop, and Phantom would be good at it but it would hit so much harder if by chance Rain or even Mountain who'd get a confidence boost would do something like this making your world flip upside down and make you question how innocent they actually where. Most people forget that despite their different personas they are still ghouls. They come from hell and thus, they come from a rather devious and even sexual lines of bloodline. Especially if they are sexually frustrated; we all know they are ghouls, pack dynamics, and even polyamorous with each other so it could seriously be any of them at random times that make you question what the hell just happened and perhaps even give you some wild imagination to ponder over from that brief interaction.
~
Food for thought! It honestly could go any way, shape, or form but those are ones that I personally feel like match but wouldn't it be interesting to swap around them and see what kind of chaos would ensue? Sorry it took a few days to get to this! Thanks for the ask Darkly! Love getting requests and questions from you guys! <3

They should have known the problems wouldn't disappear overnight. They should have known better; even if they had talked to Mountain it didn't mean the trouble would end there. And that's how they got right where they were. Humiliated and damn near in tears.
The eyes of the other clergy were staring at them. Burning holes into their head they could do nothing but stand there. Some were laughing, others stood shocked at the display. But did anyone come to help or stop this display of humiliation? No. Zero, nada, no one. Not a single siblings; even those who They were considered polite or friendly with. No one stepped up to save them the social embarrassment.
The last remnant of Their hair rested at their feet. Lying in frayed piles by their boots; hair that they had grown out longer than they usually kept it, just because in a previous encounter Mountain had said he'd liked their hair and here it lay ruined. That which did not get chopped off was in odd different lengths making them look wild and unkempt. It took everything in them not to cry even when the burn in their eyes and nose made it almost unbearable to hold in.
"Now you can look like the faggot that you are. Since you don't want to pick a side of whether you wanna be a man or a woman." the culprit laughed in their face.
"Why the long face? You wanted to be what was it? Non-binary right? I was just helping you with that." the young man grinned devilishly despite the sickening sweetness of mockery tainting his words.
Y/n said nothing. Could do nothing. But the worst of their humiliation wasn't over it. Before they knew it something cold and thick got poured over their heads causing them to gasp in shock as the coldness ran down from the top of their head; ruining whatever mess was of their hair and down their face; dripping onto their uniform and down to the floor to mix with the chopped off hair.
A smoothie. A goddamned smoothie just got dumped over their heads. Right there in the middle of the hallway. Y/n tried to stay strong. Tried not to cry as the seconds ticked by. They wouldn't give these bullies a reaction. But god was it hard. Why wouldn't the issues just stop? What was so wrong with wanting to be something? Wasn't the Clergy supposed to be open-minded for things like this?! And then the straw that broke the camel's back. A figure came walking down the hallways in his usual pope robes like the king himself.
"What is the meaning of this? What is going on here?" Papa demanded looking at the gathering of his clergy.
His eyes widened when his mismatched orbs met those of Y/n's over the heads of the siblings and Y/n felt the first tremble of their lip. Papa quickly shooed everyone away as he neared with urgent steps toward the distressed clergy member and draped an arm around them; allowing the long length of his sleeve to act as a blanket to hide as much of their body as he could; not like it would have done much more then dirty his robes.
"Back to work, all of you!" his voice raised before his gaze landed on the culprit with a stern glare. "And you, meet me in my office in 20 minutes!" he demanded harshly before he was turning; leading Y/n away from the group that still lingered and toward his office.
Once inside the office Papa set the sibling into a chair and went to grab a towel to help clean them off. "Oh mio caro bambino." he murmured as he knelt beside them and gently began trying to wipe the smoothie from their skin.
"Why didn't you come to me when this happened?" he asked softly and Y/n shook their head avoiding his eyes.
"This has happened before? It's been going on for quite some time, hasn't it?" he guessed as he watched the younger's lip tremble even more and the first salty tear running to mix with the sugar of the smoothie on their face.
"Oh tesero..." the man pulled the other into him; gently petting their hair, not minding the smoothie that now coated his gloves. "You should never be afraid to come to me when trouble arises." he said softly; his heart aching when the other wrapped themselves around him; hugging so fiercely he feared he'd crack a rib under their grip.
"I'm sorry Papa. I didn't think it'd get this bad. I didn't want to bother you." they cried against his shoulder and he could do nothing but rub their back trying to calm them down.
"Don't worry, I'll fix this. They'll get a good talking to." he reassured and suspension if he had any say in the matter. Hell he had half a mind to kick them straight onto their asses out of the Abbey's Gates.
"No! I-if you say anything it'll only be worse!" Y/n protested but Papa only pulled away to give a stern look.
"This has gone on for too long, bambino." he told them while wagging a finger in their direction. "No one deserves to be treated as such; especially not over something as silly as pronouns. It is ridiculous. You go by whatever pronouns you want, you dress the way you want, you can change your name for all I care; it will not make me love you any less. The Abbey is a home for people much like yourself and no one should make another feel so insignificant for just living their lives the way they wish." he told them sternly before his expression softened.
"What can I do to make this better?" he asked searching their face.
"Mountain." Y/n wiped their nose. "I want Mountain."
"Consider it done. Come, I'll walk you to him. He's back in his quarters with the others." he told them as he helped them rise to their feet.
"Papa your robes." Y/n's expression seemed almost devastated as they saw the mess on his sleeve. He chuckled a bit and shook his head.
"They can be washed, no need to fret. Come come. Let's get you to your ghoul." Papa led the way to the ghoul's wing and knocked on the door.
Dewdrop answered and it took him a second to realize who was standing there. His brows scrunching up in confusion before his brows shot up at the sight of Y/n.
"For the love of Satan, what the hell happened to you pipsqueak?" he demanded.
"Bullies. Where's Mountain?" Papa asked pushing his way through the doorway while looking around.
"He's in his room." Dewdrop muttered scanning Y/n body with a critical eye. "Damn, they did a number on you didn't they?" he sighed as he guided them to the couch where Rain sat playing a video game with Swiss.
"Holy Hell!" Swiss gawked over at them when they caught sight of the mess Y/n was in.
"None of that now Swiss. They are upset enough as it is." Papa chided lightly before walking down the hall towards Mountain's room.
"Wait here, honey." Rain murmured resting a hand against Y/n's shoulder before standing and heading for the kitchenette. The sound of rushing water from the sink was the only sound echoing in the room for a minute before the water ghoul returned with a bowl and a kitchen towel.
He sat down beside them again and dipped the cloth into the warm water in the bowl before beginning to wipe at their skin with a concentrated look of furrowed brows. Papa returned moments later with Mountain who looked sleepy; must have been taking a nap that Papa woke him up from. He looked around the room before he tensed seeing Y/n.
"What...Happened?" his rumbling voice demanded as he narrowed his eyes and rounded the corner of the couch to sit on the armrest.
"They cut my hair...and poured smoothie over me." Y/n muttered looking down at their hands in their lap that shook slightly.
"Damnit." Mountain sighed. "Come on little one. Rain follow us. We'll give them a bath to wash all that sticky off and see if we can't fix the hair." he offered which the water ghoul nodded to and rose readily to help.
Y/n took Mountain's offered hand and followed the ghouls back to the Earth Ghoul's room before going straight to the bathroom. The tallest paused in the threshold and looked down at his human friend.
"Would you like for Rain to go get some more of his bath products?" he offered but Y/n shook their head.
"No...I just...I just want to get cleaned up. No pampering this time." they sounded so tired; just from sleep deprivation but tired of all the hate they seemed to get simply by breathing.
Mountain nodded before scratching one of his horns. "Err...my bathtub is kind of broken; I don't have the drain plug anymore so it'll have to be a shower. Do you want Rain to help you while I go get some items to help after?" he offered and after a moment of hesitation and a glance over at the water ghoul who waited patiently nearby; Y/n gave a nod.
At this point, Y/n had no issue with being naked in front of the ghouls even if they were not Mountain; the humiliation or the embarrassment spent in full with no returns it seemed. So they undressed and stepped into the spray of shower water. Rain was thoughtful enough to keep his boxers on at least. While Mountain went to grab some stuff to help clean up the messy chops of hair left Rain dutifully helped wash the smoothie from the other's hair and body with a gentle uninvasive touch being respectful as he did so.
"Mountain told us about what we going on. We didn't know you had it rough Y/n/n." Rain murmured as he scrubbed shampoo into their hair.
Y/n shrugged tilting their head down to not get shampoo in their eyes. "I thought if I ignored it it would just blow over and disappear. But when I'm a walking talking target I guess it's not that easy."
"You're not a target; they are never meant to hurt their own no matter what gender or pronouns they use. It's not right." the water ghoul touched Y/n's shoulder. "I'm sorry, kiddo."
A small smile tugged at Y/n's mouth. "Yeah...that's what Papa said too." they sighed. "I just want it to be over...I'm so tired of feeling unloved just for existing."
Mountain stepped back into the room and pulled the shower's glass door open a bit to peer inside. "You're not unloved, little one. At least not by the people that matter to you. Fuck whatever anyone else says." he piped up and hearing that profanity coming from the usual gentle giant made Y/n start laughing under her breath as Rain rinsed off the suds.
Once the pair were done and Y/n cleaned, the ghouls helped dry them off. Dressing them in comfortable clothes. A pair of boxers from Dewdrop, some sweatpants from Phantom, and a shirt from Mountain that hung damn near to their knees but at least they were clean and mostly dry; comforted by the different scents of spice and cologne of the other ghouls that wafted from the clothes they wore.
Y/n was placed onto a stool in front of the mirror and Mountain's tall frame came into view behind them. "Are you ready?" he asked tilting his head down to look at the little human who nodded with resignation.
"Yep...Can't walk around looking like Chucky." the smile was a little forced but at least they were trying to stay positive despite what happened earlier.
"I'll go make you something to eat okay?" Rain touched their shoulder in farewell before slipping from the bathroom after throwing on some clothes Mountain brought in for him.
The room was filled with quiet snipping sounds as Mountain took one chunky lock and began carefully cutting; trying to even the pieces out. It sort of made Y/n feel like one of the Earth's precious plants he was trimming down to perfection. Despite his large height and even larger hands, he was gentle and very careful as he measured each strip of hair between his fingers before cutting.
"Papa's going to make an announcement soon; a reminder about policy in regard to the bullying." Mountain broke the silence as he worked.
"Oh? On my behalf?" Y/n mumbled staring at themselves in the mirror. "Won't that make me a target all over again?"
"Of course not. Papa doesn't play when it comes to bullying. Bullying ends lives if taken too far and that's the last thing he wants. He cares about you little one. We all do. Some siblings may be too scared to come forward but they won't target you anymore and if I know Papa he'll have already expelled the bullies from the Abbey and kicked them on their butts." Mountain smirked slightly and even though Y/n shouldn't feel any satisfaction about it; they did.
"Alright...what do you think? Do you want to go shorter or does this look good enough?" Mountain finally put down the scissors and Y/n lifted their gaze to study their hair in the mirror.
It was so much shorter than it had been before; like a mixture of a pixie haircut and a boyish haircut. It was different to see their own hair in that style but it also somehow made their face transform. How funny that hair could do that to a person. They reached up to touch their hair before nodding slowly.
"I...like it. Actually," they confessed with a small smile. "Thank you, Mountain..." they murmured.
The earth ghoul nodded and allowed the little human to reach behind them to grab his arms; pulling his long limbs around them like a blanket and he rested his chin on their head with a small smile; a rumbling purr emitting from his chest as he allowed the hug.
"If it makes you feel better, this new look suits you. Take this new experience and new look to start fresh. Keep your chin up and don't let anyone bring you down; okay? You are worth more than just what you look like."
Y/n laughed a bit and nodded slowly. "Yeah...maybe I just needed a haircut to give me a boost." they said playfully and Mountain smiled back at their reflections; happy to see the usual spunk returning to his human.
"If you want I can ask the girls to help you with a new wardrobe if it helps too." he commented making Y/n eyes light up a bit.
"Really?"
"Why not? Might as well. New change new you." Mountain let go of Y/n and dusted off the stray hairs from their shoulders. "Come on, let's go check in with the others. We can watch a movie and get something to eat. Okay?" he offered his hand and Y/n readily grasped it; hopping off the stool.
"You know. I kinda love you." Y/n stated with fondness as they bumped against his arm with affection causing the Earth ghoul to rumble out a chuckle and look down at them.
"I kinda love you too, little one." he replied before ushering them back to the living room.
Rain had indeed gathered them a meal and the others were gathered in the living area with a movie playing as they waited for the last pair to return. Y/n had gotten lots of compliments from their friends and each one helped boost their confidence level. They lay against Mountain's side munching on whatever Rain had made for them feeling content and loved; a feeling they hadn't felt in a long time since joining. With the promise of new clothes and the new haircut made them feel seen for once and as they looked around the room they realized an important lesson or two.
One was that no one had the power to dictate who they were; to decide or to make them feel unworthy of love or acceptance simply by being themselves and that self-love was a powerful thing.
Secondly, while they had been so desperate to fit in with the members of the Clergy; they had done it all wrong. Because quality meant more than quantity and as Y/n looked all around the room at the unmasked ghouls lounging around them they would rather have these ghoulish creatures and Papa over the dozens of those residing in the Abbey. And that realization brought a smile to their face as they buckled down and turned to watch the movie; knowing that no matter what lay down the road - they had the new confidence to walk it because they did love themselves, accepted themselves for who they were, and they had a bunch of weirdos who accepted them as well wholeheartedly.

Hey, Wonderlings! I am so sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. Things have been kind of stressful at home recently and because of that I just haven't had the motivation to write anything on here in a while. But I would love to get back into writing again.
My Ghost one-shots and fics seem to be #1 for the most liked stuff that I've written on my blog so far, so I'd like your opinion to see if anyone would be interested in part 2 for any of these oneshots listed below or if you'd like to see something new! Feel free to reread if you don't remember them and please let me know!

Fan Service (Sleep Token oneshot)
Summary: Elena had been a fan of a lot of bands over the years. Her favorite had been Ghost and Sleep Token since she'd discovered them over a year ago; unfortunately, though she never had the opportunity to meet the band or go see them live before. What she didn't expect was for Sleep Token to have a show playing live just a few hours away from her city! Jumping at the chance to see them finally live she never expected how her night would turn out!
Pairings: Platonic!Vessel x OC, Plantonic!iii x OC
*Please note that I am aware Sleep Token does not interact with fans like this at concerts! One could only dream; this is just a silly little oneshot for you guys! I have not seen them live either and I know the interactions may seem oc considering what kind of band they are and their lore. Bear with me, it's just imagination just like all the other fanfics of bands out there! Hope you enjoy. This is not to portray their actual personalities or interactions! SIMPLY FANFICTION! Please don't come at me....I DO respect the band and their privacy to keep their personal lives and personalities out of media; I love them dearly and mean no disrespect to them as people or as a band. This is just something silly I thought up; experimenting, if you will...If you haven't seen them or listened to them; boy honey you're missing out!

She was jittery. Bouncing on the toes of her black hightops as she waited in line. The ticket clutched tightly in her hands as she scanned the rest of the crowd that lined up to the venue to get in. The excitement and anticipation for tonight's show were palpable on her tongue as she took a calming breath to stop the scatter of butterflies in her stomach from exploding from her body and out of her mouth. There were so many people here and although Elena was not fond of large crowds like this, she knew she'd regret it immensely if she didn't come tonight. The very idea that she could have, even by her own volition, missed out when her favorite band was so close to her performing made a knot form in her stomach; not helping her out at all with the nervous energy her body carried.
She'd been in love with the music this band created since she first found them out a little over a year ago. Sleep Token had bumped her love for this kind of music higher on her list - making her more obsessed with the addictive blend until she'd played playlist after playlist on endless loops through her speakers at her small apartment. And tonight, she drove a few hours from her hometown just to see them.
When her turn came at the line she handed over her ticket to get punched before being allowed entry. Her green eyes widened at the scene around her. Countless booths lined up with canopies advertising merch sales for everything under the sun. From T-shirts to sweatshirts, wristbands with the band's logos, to copies of their latest albums on CDs and so much more. The girl found herself standing near the barrier of other fans who were browsing the tables; staring down at the items displayed for purchase and bit her lip. It wasn't as if she didn't have the money; she'd saved up months from her job at the music store she worked at just for this chance to get a souvenir from the band she loved the most.
But despite her eagerness to snatch something up like a sweatshirt she refrained with all her willpower; she wasn't going to blow her whole paycheck until she'd seen everything there was to see. A slight breeze blew through the open venue causing her to shiver a bit and glance back at the stall showcasing the black zip-up sweaters only partly regretting not buying one since she didn't expect the weather to get cold tonight. She was dressed in a pretty dress. Black with white dragons all over it and the collar was high - like a turtleneck without the extra fabric and it hugged her body perfectly while a pair of hightop black shoes cased her feet for comfort. Her long brown hair was hanging down her back unhinged by the tie that was wrapped around her slender wrist. It wasn't like she was trying to dress to impress. She certainly didn't seem like she fit into this sort of environment while others dressed more for comfort or wearing varies of bandwear. But she'd just bought this dress and figured today would have been the best to wear it; even if it didn't go lower then the middle of her thighs. She got cold easily and she was beginning to regret not bringing a jacket to wear.
She'd followed the crowd towards the large open field where a large stage was constructed for the band to play and she weaseled herself to the front with ease; being so small at only 5'2" kind of helped. She wouldn't have been able to see Sleep Token on stage any other way not that she needed to - their music spoke more than the show they put on but man did she really want to see Vessel doing his adorable dances as he unhinged from the world and allowed the music to guide his body. She'd seen videos of other fan's uploads of his hopping and jumping on stage as he danced and she really wanted to see it live. So she took position at the iron railings that bracketed the fans from the stage at a safe distance and watched as tech people got the stage ready.
The sun was already low in the sky, the show going to start very soon - it was better experienced at night with all the light affects and strobe lights. Simply watching the way the tech people worked on stage made her heart race a bit as she knew in just minutes the show would begin and she would be right there at the front watching.
More people gathered behind her and Elena rested her arms against the railings as she watched; purposefully ignoring the fans behind her and on either side as they wanted to get the front row as well. If she dared to look behind her at all the people she would probably freak; she hated being at the front of any line let alone in the middle of a crowd so she didn't. Simply watched with anticipation and bated breath as the techs left and the lights began to come on. The show was beginning.
It was magnetic. It was addicting. It was like a shot of adrenaline through her system. Vessel's voice was like dark silk as he sang his lyrics and she was practically in a trance as she watched him perform. A big smile crept onto her face as she watched; her heart aching so much with adoration as she watched him get lost to the music; watched as he interacted with the fans through his signature hand movements and fruitiness with iii on stage. She loved it all and knew if she were to die right now she'd die with a blissful smile on her face. The crowd behind her was just as enthralled by him. Jumping up and down, dancing, and swinging around like crazy people behind her as they got lost in the music.
But then Elena felt her body slam forward into the railings in front of her when a fan not paying attention to his surroundings practically decked her in the back with his wild arms making her lurch forward aggressively against the metal. Her arms seared with pain as they jammed against the harsh cold railing causing her to hiss in pain; she would surely bruise come morning. And then just as suddenly a strong arm grabbed her arms and she looked up startled as security was quick to lift her tiny frame over the barrier and away from the danger. She yelped in surprise and clung to the man's shoulders as he carried her away from the railing and to a chair at the side of the stage causing her heart rate to spike when she realized where she was.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" the man asked scanning her over as she clutched her arm.
Elena laughed nervously and began nodding. "I am! I just hurt my arm a little bit on the railing there's no need for-" she began to protest feeling so very wrong for being on the other side of the barrier; feeling like a child that isn't supposed to be somewhere but before she could get the sentence out a figure jumped off of the stage as the music began to change into its melodic melodies instead of lyrics. Her gaze lifted up to find one of the guitarists coming her way still holding his instrument to the side of his body as he made his way over.
At first, Elena expected to be yelled at or told she needed to get back to the crowd but instead, her eyes widened when they met the familiar blue of iii's eyes as he came to stand beside her. One large hand rested on her shoulder as he did so.
"Everything okay here?" his voice was a little rough around the edges; probably from screaming out to the crowd to hype them up some more but there was no anger in his voice from what she could tell. She cleared her throat and shook her head a little as she pointed to her ear as if to tell him she couldn't hear him very well; which honestly wasn't a lie, being this close to the stage the music was a lot louder than in the crowd.
The bassist's black mask with the familiar Sleep Token symbol shifted as if he was smiling beneath his mask before he was bending down to speak in her ear; his larger frame tall and imposing seemingly less intimidating this way.
"Are you okay honey?" he asked near her ear allowing her to hear him better.
Elena blushed slightly at the proximity and nodded slightly as she laughed nervously. "I'm okay, it's just a misunderstanding really-" she began but the guard cut her off.
"Another fan behind her was being a little rough and she got injured on the barriers."
iii's eyes softened in concern as he looked her over and Elena quickly waved her hands in front of her. "It's okay really. I'm not bleeding or anything, just gonna bruise. It's not that big of a deal really. I appreciate the concern but I mean it is a concert; something was bound to happen." she tried to protest.
iii was already grabbing at her slender arm and examining the redness of where her skin had been hit against the railings minutes earlier and his head tilted a bit.
"Damn. I'm sorry sweetheart. We want our fans to have fun but not to hurt each other even by accident." he said and Elena shook her head again as she glanced over her shoulder catching Vessel's figure as he walked closer to their side of the stage; his head tilting towards them but because of the mask covering his face and the mic close to his mouth as he sang, she couldn't tell his expression.
She ducked her head; allowing her hair to hide her expression as she felt the embarrassment heat up her face. "It's really not that bad. Nothing that involved me being whisked away. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to distract you from the show. Please, go on and finish! I'll be back out there cheering you guys on." Elena began to stand but a pair of warm hands covered in black pain suddenly gripped her knees and she looked up to find Vessel crouching in front of her.
She sank back into her chair with a start and looked up at him. She couldn't see his eyes through the slits in his mask but the lower half of his face and jaw were exposed. Good god this man was beautiful even without full features being shown; she could tell by the shape of his lips and the half smile on his face - the strong neck and jaw coated in black paint that was starting to wear off from the light sheen of sweat that coated his naked torso.
"Are you hurt, honey?" Vessel's normal speaking voice was just as beautiful as his singing one. Deep and raspy from singing but beautiful causing Elena to feel as if her tongue was made of cotton instead of flesh and muscle as she dumbly nodded to him.
"She was injured by another fan during the show." iii mentioned and Elena shot him a look from the corner of her eye.
"I told you. It's not life-threatening! I'm okay really!" she protested before looking at Vessel and then the nearly empty stage behind him.
"Shit the show! You guys better go before people think something's wrong," she said frantically; her hands raising without though to gentle press at Vessel's shoulders as if to push him back towards it.
"Hey hey, calm down sweetheart." Vessel's hands gripped her wrists and his bright white smile was on display. "Don't worry about that right now. Tell us what's wrong, are you hurt?" he asked.
Elena's gaze dropped to his mouth so that she didn't stare at his naked torso instead and nodded. "I'm fine! Seriously!" she laughed a bit at their persistent concern for a random fan; god she loved them so much but they did have a show to finish and she wouldn't allow some scandal to happen over a few little bruises.
"I'll probably have a bruise but nothing bad. Now go!" she willed herself to gentle shove at Vessel's shoulders again even when all she wanted was to wrap her arms around him and give him a massive hug; she refrained and tempted down the fangirl within her.
"Aw, so sweet aren't yah?" iii cooed playfully causing another hot flash to creep up Elena's neck.
"Seriously?!" the girl covered her face but then there was the gentle caress of lips against her ear as Vessel drew nearer to be heard over the crowd of the fans several feet away.
"I'll tell you what, princess. Stick around after the show and come find one of the security for a personal escort to a VIP. Deal?"
Her eyes widened as she stared over his shoulder at the stage; petrified as much as thrill raced through her. "I-I can't do that. I can't let you guys do that! Come on it's not that bad of an accident. You're overreacting...it's not something you need to worry about let alone give me a personal VIP-" she protested turning her head slightly.
Vessel's grin was on full display now as he cocked his head to meet her gaze behind his mask. He smelled like sweat and body paint but also something that was either some sort of body wash or deodorant; something that was all Vessel.
"We want to take care of our fans, honey. It's partly our fault for the crowd being like this so let's make this right. It's the least we can do." Vessel said and Elena stared up at his masked face as he withdrew.
The red details of his otherwise white mask were beautiful up close and she could tell there was a lot of artistic love put into it. Blinking up at him her lips turned into a frown and they parts as if to decline but the singer only shook his head playfully and placed a finger to his lips.
"I won't go finish this show until you agree. We'd love to get to know you a little better." he offered.
She knew he was bluffing. Why would he just shut down the entire show for her? but wasn't this what she dreamed about since the moment she found his band? She never expected something like this to happen; it was like some kind of dream. Swallowing thickly she finally nodded with a shy smile on her face.
"If I'm not going to be a bother...I don't want to cause trouble for you guys."
Vessel's laugh was adorable as he leaned over and pressed a sweet kiss to her cheek. "You're not a bother at all, honey." he replied pulling away.
"Elena." she corrected on impulse causing both Vessel and iii to tilt their heads at her.
"My name's Elena." she smiled slightly at them.
"Nice to meet you, Elena. We'll see you soon, darling." Vessel grinned at her as he backed up towards the stage again.
"See you soon, angel!" iii winked giving her shoulder a gentle squeeze before he and his friend darted back up the stage to continue the show.
Elena let out a shaky breath; practically reeling from the unexpected interaction. She rose from the chair as if to make her way back to the crowd but she glanced back up the stage only to find Vessel pointing at her as he sang; his head tilting towards her playfully and she could practically hear his voice in her head with his directions without even him speaking them into the mic.
she laughed a bit; the sound lost in the fray of blasting music as she sank back down into the metal chair and crossed one leg over the other as well as her arms over her chest as she stuck her tongue out at him playfully; feeling the familiar heat of a blush on her face as she caught the last second of his pearly smile of approval as he turned back towards the crowd; belting out the lyrics to 'Chokehold' as he did so.

Chapter 12
Tumblr media
Rain stayed silent as he watched Dewdrop fiddle with his guitar. His fingers were shaky and uncoordinated unlike his usual composed self. Playing his guitar always seemed to calm the Fire ghoul when he got upset but in this instance, it was not helping in the slightest causing his pack mate to worry more and the fire ghoul to get even more agitated as he couldn't get anything right - he was seconds from just throwing his guitar across the room. Rain hadn't seen Dewdrop so frazzled before. The disarray of his room still lay untouched on the floor by their feet but Dewdrop didn't pay any mind to the destruction he'd caused. Rain wanted to start cleaning up but he was too afraid to move from his spot on the bed by the jittery Fire Ghoul. He could practically feel the vibrations of his anger and rage that boiled just below the surface just simmering.
"Dew…" Rain's voice spoke through the agitating noise coming from Dew's guitar that he was having a hard time playing. The fact that he was messing up chords was starting to irritate the fire ghoul all over again.
"Don't." the other snapped much too harshly causing Rain to grit his teeth; he'd been trying for the past few hours to try and talk his friend down from his frenzy.
The news and inclination that Ari may be pregnant still not lost on the Water Ghoul and he worried for her stability. Not just that but for the struggle that she and Dew have to face now. What if she was actually pregnant? What would Dewdrop do when he was told the truth? What would Ari do? He didn't want to lose a friend and he knew if the truth was that their manager was pregnant by another man it would crush Dewdrop. So much that Rain couldn't be so confident that he'd return from his spiral.
"No, I won't stop talking about it Dew. You have to tell me-" Rain tried again a little more firmly.
"Tell you what Rain?" Dewdrop's head snapped up pinning his friend under a fiery gaze. "That the woman I love is pregnant by another man? That she lied about it? That she used me like a pawn?"
"Dewdrop stop it!" Rain's voice rose sharply; a contrast to his usual calm and quiet demeanor. "You listen to me spitfire." the water ghoul leaned forward and gripped the back of his friend's neck to force him from looking away from him.
"Ari isn't a fucking liar. She's not the type to lie about anything, least of all this if she had known. I know you know that deep inside. If she says she isn't pregnant and this is just a scheme then I fucking believe her because she's never let us down before or given us a reason not to trust her word." his blue eyes searched his friends.
"And I know you know this too. The least you can do is give her the benefit of not doubting her." his grip gentled as his voice softened. "I know you love her firebug. I've never seen you so crazy about anyone else before; that says something about the bond you two share. She's perfect for you and I know how fucking miserable you were when you thought she'd rejected you. You trusted her back then though; all we are asking is you to trust her still. Don't jump to conclusions until we know the facts. You've never been one for rational thinking my friend…but this time, it's important that you have an open mind." Rain pressed as he studied his friend's face.
"But the proof was evident Rain. You saw the test. You saw the pictures…" Dewdrop muttered shaking his friend's hand off of him as he leaned away.
"That doesn't mean anything. They could be fake. Do you honestly think she'd ever sleep with the man that made her miserable?" Rain sighed giving his friend a sympathetic look. "Our Ari isn't the woman you think she is. She's special…she's a breath of fresh air and she makes you so happy…Don't let this ruin the chance of finding your mate."
"She's not my mate." Dewdrop hissed
"But she is Dew. Sometimes, mates don't find each other with a zing of electricity no matter what people say…Sometimes, mates are found through the turmoil that surround them that brings them together." he sighed rising to his feet. "Just…hear her out and please…don't turn her back on her because of this." he said softly.
Rain headed for the door and opened it but he stopped cocking his head when he heard the sounds of sobbing coming down the hall and his tail stiffened as he gazed down the corridor. He could sense Dewdrop's attention zeroing in on it too as his smaller friend came to stand at his side. A movement at the other end of the corridor caused the pair to look over at Mountain who held an envelope in his hands. The gentle giant gazed at them and raised the slip of paper.
"Her results came in. She took the test at the nurse's office." he informed but from the looks of the envelope it hadn't been opened yet.
Mountain walked down to the end of the hall and knocked softly on the door. "Blossom. The results came in." he said through the door causing the crying within to dwindle into sniffled until at last the door opened to reveal Aurora standing there.
She gave a small smile to the giant before nodding and turning to the others within the bathroom. "Honey, you ready?" she asked softly.
Ari wiped at her face and nodded as she rose. Cumulus grabbed the test and the others left the bathroom heading down the hall but Ari stood a few steps within catching sight of Dewdrop standing with Rain in his bedroom door frame. Her lip wobbled but she didn't say a word as she tucked her head down and walked past following the trail of her friends to the common room. Copia, Swiss, and Phantom were still sitting there waiting as they talked in hushed whispers as the rest of them waited for the others to arrive.
Ari took her seat beside Phantom who grabbed her hand; giving her a few pulses of his quintessence to help calm her as her tired body leaned against his for support. Rain and Dewdrop were the last to enter; sitting across the room with tense apprehension as Mountain handed the paper over to their manager but she shook her head and handed it to Copia who sat on her other side.
"I can't read it." she mumbled
Copia took the papers from her. "Are you sure mi caro?" he asked softly and at her tired nod he sighed and tore open the envelope to fish out the papers within.
"Alright let's see…" Copia scanned the information slowly and then again to double check.
Ari's face scrunched up in a wince as she waited for the verdict; praying to whatever god or devil that the results would favor her. She didn't trust the pregnancy tests; not 100% so she waited for bated breath. A tenetive glance over across the room at Dewdrop revealed him leaning forward eyes glued to her as Rain held his hand. His stare was heavy and he didn't look away when she met his gaze.
"-pregnant."
Ari blinked when Copia's voice finally registered in her ears causing her to look over at him. "W-what?" she asked confused and dazed.
"You are pregnant, tesero." he repeated slowly while handing over the papers to her.
Ari could hardly breathe as she snatched the paper from him and read the results. Her breath came out on a shaky exhale that was near panicked as her hands trembled with nerves and she felt her eyes sting again with more tears as she stared at the bold words of results right under her nose.
"I'm…pregnant?" she repeated softly before a laugh escaped her. "It's impossible. Fuck I know I didn't sleep with him! I know I didn't I swear on my life I didn't!" she panicked as she stared at the paper; the room was so silent a pin dropping could have been heard and she slumped against Phantom with uncontrollable trembling as she covered her mouth with her hand stifling another sob that wanted to rip from her throat. "The test was wrong…It has to be.."
"You took two tests, Ari…just to be sure. What did the other one say?" Rain asked softly from across the room as his hand gripped Dewdrop's shoulder - he could feel his muscles quiver, whether from rage he didn't know but he kept his grip strong in case the other decided to fly off.
"It was positive…" Cumulus said softly as she extended her hand towards the Water Ghoul with the test in her hand showing him the two pink lines clearly visible against the white backdrop.
Ari shook her head "No…no…NO!" her voice came out as a despite scream as she threw the paper to the ground and gripped her head. "I know what I did…but I didn't sleep with him…I know I wouldn't do that…I wouldn't…" she babbled.
Warm hands suddenly gripped her knees and Ari turned her red tear-soaked face to look down at Dewdrop crouching in front of her. His eyes were searching hers; guarded and unsure as he watched her face. She stared back down at him and her lips parted to say something but instead, nothing came out. Instead of screaming at her or telling her 'I told you so' Dewdrop reached out and she flinched back a bit thinking perhaps he'd hit her but instead of a harsh blow to her face, his palm rested warm and almost comforting against her cheek as he cradled it and the gentle gesture cracked her heart even more; he shouldn't be looking at her like that. He shouldn't be so kind to her at this moment. He had a right to be angry - hell she was angry at herself and at the situation but his eyes held no anger in them.
"Dew…" her voice came out cracked as another tear rolled down her flushed cheek.
"I believe you." his voice was soft as he gauged her reaction. The orange glow of his irises scanned her features. "If you say you didn't sleep with him of your own volition, then I believe you, firecracker." he said solemnly and Ari closed her eyes as if wanting to hide from his words as if she was trying to hide from him - from the truth of the situation. He shouldn't be accepting of this; she sure as hell wasn't. She didn't understand how this could have happened.
A gentle nudge to her chin made her open her teary eyes to look at him again and his face was so serious as he stared at her. "I. Believe. You." he repeated slowly as if making sure that she understood him; that she'd believe his words. "But those results have to question…if you didn't know…if you didn't sleep with him knowingly then how are you pregnant?"
The question filled the silence of the room and Ari didn't have an answer for him but her tears had stopped falling as her mind slowly caught up with the conversation and the gears in her head were turning as she mulled it over. He made a good point. If she hadn't slept with Braydon…then how?
"We need answers to this…" Copia muttered bending down to grab the pregnancy results and staring down at the papers. "We'll need to see how far along you are, tesero. That means we need to make an appointment and go from there."
"I don't want this baby." Ari didn't break her gaze away from Dewdrop; her words meant not only for him but for the rest of them. "I want nothing to do with that man."
"Okay, then there's only one option honey. Are you okay with that decision?" Phantom asked softly from beside her.
Ari worried her lip between her teeth. Getting an abortion never sat right with her but she couldn't possibly raise this baby in a Satanic church. Not alone and certainly not with the knowledge of who their father was. She shrugged limply and shook her head.
"I don't know…" she confessed; the conflict in her voice was evident as she closed her eyes and slumped forward, resting her forehead against Dewdrop's shoulder as his arms snaked around her to hold her close.
"Let me call my friend. Let me see what we can do." Copia offered as he headed for the door and exited with a nod to the others.
Ari took a breath and clung to Dewdrop's neck. "I'm sorry…" she whispered closing her eyes tightly. "I'm sorry…this is all my fault…"
"You didn't know baby. You thought you knew the situation because you'd never do anything like this…but that doesn't mean it's your fault." Dewdrop soothed stroking her hair. "We'll figure it out." he added quietly as he pressed a kiss to her head. "We'll figure it out…"
Ari shook her head and pulled away; wiping angrily at her face. "You have the right to be mad at me Dew-"
The fire ghoul shook his head slowly and cupped her face as he forced her eyes back to him. "A friend of mine made something very clear earlier. At the end of the day it shouldn't matter…I love you." he said softly brushing her cheeks. "After everything that we've been through…it shouldn't matter if this baby's mine or not. I should have trusted you and had faith in your honor because I know what kind of person you are, firecracker. I love you so much and I'm not afraid to say it aloud." he said firmly.
her lip quivered as she nodded and rested her forehead against his. "I love you too…" she whispered.
A throat cleared causing the pair to break apart and look over towards Mountain who was standing by one of the couches. A look of unease on his face as he glanced around at everyone. He had something to say; it was clear by the look on his face but whatever it was was something he didn't even want to utter. Ari tilted her head and studied his face before she spoke up - her voice soft and coaxing.
"What is it Mountain? What's on your mind?" she asked.
Everyone's eyes were on the Earth Ghoul now who was beginning to fidget; shifting his weight between his legs as if uncomfortable to stand but when he didn't say anything at first; Aurora's small frame came to stand beside him and grabbed his larger hand in hers - looking up at him imploringly.
"What is it big guy?" she asked.
The giant cleared his throat again as if something was stuck there before his rumbling voice spoke up hesitantly. "I've been thinking Ari…about the situation and…" he trailed off looking away from the woman's inquisitive stare.
"And what?" she pressed as a frown tugged at her mouth as she searched his face.
"You said that you wouldn't sleep with him willingly…."
"Yeah…" she trailed off pointedly. "What are you trying to say Mount?"
"W-well…If it wasn't willingly and he claims you were drunk and you don't remember it…." his eyes finally turned towards her. with a pointed stare as if his gaze alone transferred his thoughts to her.
Ari stared across the room at him with a blank face as she tried to understand what he was trying to say; her slow mind caught up too slowly as the others seemed to be getting what the tall ghoul was trying to imply without actually saying it out loud. Dewdrop rose to his feet sharply; his eyes glowing with rage once more but this time wasn't directed towards Ari.
"I'm going to kill him." he snarled.
Phantom grabbed his packmate's arm quickly and rose to stop him. "Easy, fireball." he warned. "We don't know if that's true."
"What's not true? Guys, what the hell are you trying to say?" Ari demanded looking up between them as she sat rigid on the edge of the couch.
"Ari…if you didn't sleep with him and don't remember that night…" Rain picked up on Mountain's thoughts. "Then that leaves only one plausible conclusion," he said gripping his hands together in front of him as he stared at the floor at his feet. "You were drugged at that party and taken advantage of by your ex-husband."
Ari stared at him with mouth agape in disbelief. "No…Braydon is one thing but he…he wouldn't do that!" she tried to defend.
"Wouldn't he?" Swiss added lowly as he crossed his arms thoughtfully. "It would make sense, don't you think? He must have known one way or another you'd find out about him cheating. But he didn't want to lose the money you were bringing in. For whatever reason he wanted you under his thumb, honey." Swiss raised his gaze to the shell-shocked woman across the room.
"He's many things but I wouldn't ever imagine him doing something like that…What reason would he want to drug me and knock me up? It couldn't be just for the money! That wouldn't make sense Swiss! At the time those pictures were taken I wasn't working with you guys. That was months before I ever found out about the job! I was still working at the attorney's office." Ari stated shaking her head.
"Wouldn't it make more sense for him to divorce me and then go be with whatever woman he's been fucking?" she added looking around the room.
"Maybe he wanted to ruin your reputation. Break you down until you had to rely on him." Swiss offered.
"He hadn't thought that you'd get a new job though…And by the time you did and were making more money than him maybe he thought that he would be entitled to that because you were married. Perhaps that is why he was fighting back about the divorce?" Cumulus offered up her own thoughts.
"Oh, my god…" Ari shook her head slowly. "It does make sense…oh my god…we have to tell Copia!" she rose sharply from the couch but Dewdrop grabbed her arm.
"No, we will handle this." he stated sharply.
"No! This isn't just about fighting for my honor anymore Dew. This man fucked me over both figuratively and physically. He can't get away with that!" she stated harshly tugging her arm from his grasp. "We have to tell Copia and get his friend to dig deeper. I won't be made a fool and give my ex the satisfaction of getting any part of me!" she snapped.
The fire ghoul looked at her a long time until she swore he wouldn't say anything and she turned to leave but his grip remained on her arm as he tugged her back and cupped her face. "Okay baby." he searched her face. "We'll fight back, together. But promise me you won't do anything reckless, got it?"
Ari gave a grim smile and nodded. "He won't screw us over. Not again." she confirmed before Dew pressed a firm kiss to her lips.
"Atta girl."

Chapter 11
Tumblr media
The door to the common room slammed over and bounced off the wall as the furious fire ghoul stormed inside practically seething flames from beneath his mask. The shock of his arrival caused his packmates who were in the common room chilling with each other to look up in surprise at the bang and frown in concern at the dramatic entrance as they watched the slight little human racing after him; a look of desperation on her face.
"Dewdrop will you stop and listen?!" Ari yelled after him reaching out to grab the ghoul's arm. "He's fucking lying! Those aren't mine! They can't be!"
"Not yours? So your fucking telling me this isn't fucking you?!" Dewdrop spun around; ripping his arm from her grasp and threw the photos he had been holding tightly in his grip at her causing the papers to flutter around her like a macabre confetti of the lies that poisoned her lover's mind as evidence. "The evidence is fucking crystal!" he snarled baring his fangs in her direction.
Ari swallowed and shook her head. "They. Aren't. Mine. Dewdrop! You have to believe me-" she tried again as she tried to keep her composure; but how the hell was she supposed to prove her innocence with such hard so called evidence that lay at their feet?
"Believe you? Fucking believe you?! How fucking stupid do you think I am Ariel?" Dewdrop snapped at her. "I have eyes I can see the evidence right in front of me! And the worst part of it is you fucking lied to me!" he stalked towards her with an accusing finger pointed at her chest making her nearly take a step back from the force of his anger.
Swiss and Phantom jumped up from their seats to step in between the pair. Swiss quickly pulled Ari away from the infuriated fire ghoul who looked absolutely feral and ready to kill while Phantom and Rain who'd jumped up seconds later came to pull Dewdrop away trying to calm him down and create a barrier from any potential harm.
"What the hell is going on?" Swiss demanded eying his packmate while keeping Ari behind him with a hand on her arm.
"Ask our fucking manager." Dewdrop snarled as he dug into his pocket and slammed something onto the back of the couch.
The others turned to look at the object and their faces morphed into different mixtures of shock and confusion as Rain tentatively stepped over and picked up the object to stare at it before looking at Ari. "Ari…are you…are you pregnant?" he asked softly with a look of shock on his face as he lifted his maskless face to meet her gaze; the look that was changing his face made Ari's stomach clench and made her believe it was something more like judgment then the confusion and concern in his blue eyes.
The woman shook her head. "No! Fuck no I'm not fucking pregnant!" she protested turning her attention to Dewdrop. "I swear Dewdrop that's not mine!"
"And those photos aren't yours too huh?" he sneered watching as Swiss bent down to pick up the fallen papers off the floor and looked them over with pinches brows as he studied each small crinkled page in his grasp.
"They aren't! You know I hate his guts! Do you honestly think I'd get drunk and fuck him?! You knew of the issues I had with him! you know I wouldn't do something like that even if I was inebriated which I wasn't!" she added desperately. "I'm not fucking lying! If you want I can take a pregnancy test right fucking now and prove it to you!" she added waving her arms around.
"Hey hold on a minute! Let's calm down and figure this out okay?" Phantom tried to defuse the situation but Dewdrop wasn't having it as he sneered over at the woman.
"And find out your pregnant and that it's true? Will that finally wake you up?! Do you know what hurts most Ariel? It's the fact that you lied about it all! What did you think was going to happen; you tell me your done with him and just decide not to tell me you fucked him earlier? You wouldn't be able to hide it for long! And I gave myself to you; you know that? I stuck my neck out for you and decided I would fight for you because that's what you wanted and then you do this?! You could have just told me instead of lying! What did you think would happen? You sleep with me and then tell me your pregnant? Make me believe it was mine so you can live in your dark secret?"
Ari stood there feeling her eyes burn with frustration, anger, and hurt. "Dewdrop…what do you want me to say?"
"Tell me the fucking truth!" he shouted at her causing her to break her composure at the force of his scream as she flinch and take a step back but she raised her chin despite the tears threatening to fall from her lashes.
"I am telling you the truth." she whispered with a cracked voice. "I don't know what you want to hear Dewdrop but I AM telling you the truth. Please…just believe me!"
Dewdrop stared at her and shook his head before he turned and stormed into his room; slamming the door closed behind him before the sound of his screaming as shit got thrown around the room causing Ari to turn her head away and let out a sob. Swiss quickly turned around and pulled her close as she let out a louder sob and clung to him. He gently shushed her; rocking her side to side trying to calm her down while rubbing her back even when his own heartbeat began pounding loudly in his ears while he tried to figure out what to say and make of the situation.
"Ari, honey…hey…" Phantom came over and gently rubbed her back. "Rain, go check in on Dew, will you? See if you can't calm him down. We'll figure this out." he spoke turning to his packmate who looked unsure but nodded and gently placed the pregnancy test down before disappearing down the hall where more muffled shouting could be heard; presumingly Dewdrop raging at the water ghoul.
Ari was led to the couch where she sat down between the Multi-Ghoul and the Quintessence ghoul. "Ari…come on tell us what happened," Phantom said softly as he grabbed her hand. "What's all this about…about you…." he couldn't even say the words.
Ari sniffled wiping at her face and shook her head. "I'm not fucking pregnant!" she let out in frustration at having to repeat herself knowing it was hard to believe when the so-called evidence was right in front of their eyes. Taking a shaking breath she dug her palms into her eyes until they ached at the pressure and flashes of colorful starlight were all she could see behind her closed eyelids. "Braydon's a fucking liar. It's not mine…it's not fucking me! It couldn't be!" she rambled shaking her head.
"Hey, shhh it's okay; we believe you. Calm down and take a breath." Swiss rubbed her back catching Phantom's gaze over the distraught woman's head.
Ari took another shaky breath trying to calm her erratic heartbeat and gratefully took the tissue Phantom handed her to wipe away the rest of her tears before she stared down at her feet. "Braydon's a fucking liar…He came by this morning to give me this load of bullshit. He's suing me for parental rights. I'm not fucking pregnant. I know myself…I wouldn't touch him let alone fuck him even while drunk which I wasn't!"
"Start from the beginning honey. Tell us what he said." Phantom encouraged.
So Ari did. Told them of the ridiculous accusations and proof that he had. At first glance, everything looked real and she could see the wheels turning as they mulled over the information. "Dewdrop won't believe you by your word alone, not after seeing all of this. We need proof to convince him." Phantom finally said.
"How? What could possibly make him change his mind after all of this?!" Ari looked over at him. "I just got him Phantom…I don't want to lose him, not again. Not after how hard everything's been to try and get him back." she whispered feeling her eyes burn again.
"We do what you suggested. I'll have one of the girls buy you a pregnancy test. You can take another pregnancy test at the nurse's office to have paperwork prove your claim." Swiss offered.
"Okay and then what? Even if that's stronger enough proof I know this isn't just about the pregnancy. The photos, Swiss…they look like me but I know it wasn't me! I know it!" Ari stared up at him with desperation.
"We'll take care of it. We got to talk to Copia though. He'll know what to do; he'll have contacts that can help sort this out." Swiss assured as he brushed her hair from her face. "I promise…we'll sort this out."
Ari's lip trembled but she nodded as she leaned into him and hugged him for comfort. "Why can't he just leave me alone?!" she whispered shakily. "Why can't he just…let me go and let me be happy."
"We don't know sweet pea. But we'll figure it out." Phantom rubbed her arm. "I'll go get the girls and catch them up to speed. Why don't you go back to your room and try to get some rest - "
"No. I'm not hiding or running from this…I need to do something…I can't be alone right now." Ari protested straightening up quickly with panic filling her eyes. She didn't want to be isolated with her thoughts right now especially knowing that everyone else was fighting for her honor.
"Hey…okay okay…" Phantom held his hands up to calm her before placing them on her shoulders. "That's alright…I'll ask Rain to escort you to the nurse's office then and you can take a test there okay?" he offered.
Ari thought it over before shaking her head. "Rain's the only one who can calm Dew down right now. Where's Mountain…he can take me." she suggested glancing around for the tall giant who was absent from the room.
"He's at his greenhouse right now but we can go get him and let him know what's going on." Swiss added as he rose to his feet and pulled Ari up with him. "I promise you Ari, we'll get this sorted out. You're not alone in this. Your ex-husband won't get away with it." he told her seriously.
The woman nodded but it was clear on her expression of just how much she doubted that. Phantom rose from his seat and wrapped an arm around the manager to give her a hug. "Trust us, sweet pea." he kissed her crown before he let her go and headed for the door. "Let's go, we got work to do." he said seriously before opening the door and slipping into the hallway.
Swiss gave Ari a reassuring smile before holding his hand out for her. She wiped the rest of her tears away before grabbing his larger hand and letting him pull her behind him as they followed Phantom out into the hallway. While Phantom went in search of the ghoulettes Swiss and Ari took the path towards the greenhouse to go find Mountain and explain to him what was going on.
When the gentle giant heard of what was going on there was a glint of something in his eyes that Ari wasn't familiar with in him; was it anger? She didn't know but she knew his energy felt off after he heard what was going on; at first, she thought perhaps he was still a little mad about his greenhouse being messed up by her and Dew but his grip on her was gentle when he grabbed her hand to lead her back towards the Abbey while Swiss broke off from the pair to talk to Copia.
"I'm sorry Mountain." Ari mumbled softly as she walked with the Earth Ghoul as she stared down at her feet as they took one step and another in front of her as she followed his lead.
"It's not your fault, it's his blossom. You're the victim here." he rumbled
"I mean about the greenhouse." her lips turned up slightly into a sheepish smile. "Dew and I kind of made a mess for you to clean up."
"It's nothing I can't fix. I figured something could get broken when the pair of you are together. You are like two forces of nature battling for dominance." he shrugged and Ari gave his hand a squeeze with a small smile placed on her face.
They made it to the nurse's office and Ari began to feel a little apprehensive as she looked at the space; it was cozy looking but at the same time had that kind of sterile hospital smell to the room; she always did hate going to the hospital for any reason. When the nurse looked up she smiled politely.
"Ah, Mrs. Whitemore, what can I do for you?" she asked.
"Forbes…actually." Ari corrected with a small smile as she held up her naked hand; the wedding ring she had long been gone from her finger since the divorce. "Um, I need…" she fumbled with her words as she wrung her hands in front of her. "I mean I need to take…um…well…" she looked towards Mountain with pleading eyes and the Earth ghoul tipped his head to her.
"She needs to take a pregnancy test."
Ari flushed a bit at the directness of the statement but the nurse didn't seem surprised; there was no judgement in her gaze and instead she nodded before turning to a cabinet to grab something but Ari stopped her quickly when she saw what the nurse was about to grab.
"Actually…could…could I do the other way? Like…you know…" she bit her lip a bit emberessed but the nurse turned to her with a knowing smile and nodded.
"Of course. I understand. Here honey. The bathroom is right there." instead of grabbing the pregnancy test box she had been reaching for the nurse grabbed an empty cup with a lid and handed it over to the woman.
Ari nodded her thanks as she grabbed the cup with a trembling hand. What if she was actually pregnant? What if Braydon was right? The doubt of her truth was starting to ignite anxiety in her mind as she stared at the cup in her hand. A gentle hand large and warm placed itself on her shoulder and she looked up at Mountain who tipped his head at her; the black fabric around his mouth shifted a bit as if he was giving her a smile.
"I'll wait here."
"The results won't be back for another few hours so…" the nurse added sensing the other's nervous energy. "If you'd like you can also take the other test for faster results…"
"No…I mean…I will just to be safe but I need this test done too…just as extra proof. Can't always trust those tests." Ari tried to joked nervously as she headed for the bathroom and closed herself in there.
Even as she sat on the toilet waiting to pee into the cup she was too nervous to actually go so that left her sitting there worrying over the 'what ifs' until finally she sucked it up and finished her business. After she finished she headed back out to find the nurse and Mountain in idle chit-chat. She handed the cup over to the nurse who gave her a nod and a reassuring smile.
"I'll get you the results as soon as I get them." she reassured before Ari nodded to her in thanks and headed out of the room with Mountain in tow.
As he escorted her back towards the Ghoul wing Ari couldn't stop her jitters and she looked up at Mountain with a new sense of panic. "What if I really am pregnant and what I thought I knew wasn't actually what went down? Fuck what if I am pregnant Mountain? I can't have this baby…it would ruin everything and-"
the Earth ghoul turned to her and grabbed her shoulders. "Breathe Ari. Your going to give yourself a panic attack. It'll be alright. We don't know anything yet. We'll figure it out when we get the results." he told her with a reassuring squeeze to her shoulders before guiding her towards the door.
His words did little to stifle the overwhelming anxiety in her but she said nothing as they entered. The ghoulettes were sitting the living room with Swiss, Phantom, and Copia causing Ari to pause and look at everyone who's eyes were on here. Rain and Dewdrop were still missing and she realized Dewdrop probably still was upset and the Water ghoul was still trying to calm him down; that made her heart sink further into her stomach as she headed into the living room to sit beside Copia and Cumulus.
"Hey honey, how are you feeling?" the curvy ghoulette asked softly as she grabbed Ari's hand and gave it a squeeze.
"Like I can't breathe." Ari replied trying to smile but her lips barely twitched as avoided the other's sympathetic gaze.
"Did you?…" Copia cleared his throat and Ari nodded knowing what he was talking about.
"Mountain and I just got back from the nurse's office; we won't know the results for a few hours at least." she let out a breath. "What about…what did Swiss tell you? Any news?" she asked with a hopeful look on her face.
"Si…I called a friend of mine to look into this. We need those photos back though and the results when we get them as extra proof." Copia told her softly and Ari nodded before Aurora piped up softly from across the room while holding something up.
"You want to go ahead and take this Ari?" she asked softly holding up the unopened pregnancy box she'd fished out from a bag.
Ari looked at it a long moment before slowly nodding as if resigned in the situation. "Okay…" she finally said before rising to her feet. The other girls did so as well and followed her to the bathroom.
"You want us to wait outside?" Cirrus asked as Ari hesitated in the open doorway.
Swallowing Ari shook her head. "No…I don't want to do this alone." she whispered and the taller ghoulette took her hand.
"Okay honey. We'll be right here no matter what results you get okay?" she said softly giving the other's hand a squeeze.
Ari nodded with a thankful half smile before the four girls entered the bathroom. They gave her privacy looking away as she did her business on the toilet and when she finished the placed the test on the counter. Cirrus hugged the woman from behind as they waited for the 3 minutes for the test to analyze while the two others took her hands. When the test finally beeped letting them know it was done analyzing Ari looked away shaking her head.
"Oh god…I can't even look at it…."
"It's okay." Cirrus reassured before Cumulus grabbed the test from the counter and looked at it. Her face gave nothing away as she stared at it before turning the rest over for the others to see.
Ari looked over hesitantly before her knees buckled and she let out a loud sob; clinging to Cirrus as the ghoulette followed her down to the floor - cradling her to her chest as she soothed the other with a firm hand on her back while the other two sank to the floor with them and wrapped them up in a group hug as their manager let out loud sobs into her friend's chest feeling as her chest was going to cave in.

Chapter 10
Tumblr media
A perfect morning waking up to a lover is a scene of pure bliss and contentment, where every moment feels like a dream come true. The atmosphere is infused with love, warmth, and a sense of tranquility. It was a feeling Ari hadn't felt since the first days of being married to Braydon. As the sun gently rises, its soft rays filter through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. The air carries a subtle scent of wet earth and a hint of morning rain, adding to the sensory delight of the moment.
Ari slowly pulled herself from the warmth and bliss of sleep to find Dewdrop lying beside her, still lost in peaceful slumber after the long night they had together that played fresh on Ari's mind as she studied his features. For once, Dewdrop's face is serene and calm instead of the angry expression look on his face she had grown accustomed to over the last week, and she couldn't help but be captivated by the sight of him. The gentle rise and fall of his chest as he breathed deep even breaths. The soft lines of his features; so relaxed, and the way his long hair falls delicately over the pillow—all these details made her heart swell with affection; still unable to believe what had happened the night before.
Being locked in the greenhouse together forced them to speak about the thing that had driven them apart in the first place...the sex afterward had been passionate and angry as if they couldn't get enough of each other but were still angry at each other for their own stupidity. Ari had to remind herself to thank Phantom and Mountain somehow for coming up with the idea because if it wasn't for them - she would probably have withered away at this point or downright left the Clergy altogether; the very thought making her heart hurt with pain.
Ari shifted slightly to get comfortable and to get a better view to watch the fire ghoul sleep, but as if sensing this Dewdrop began to stir. His eyes fluttered open to meet hers. An odd feeling gripped her heart at the tender smile that spreads across his lips as he realize she was awake and most likely relief that she hadn't slipped out during the night to make him wake up alone. Without saying a word, his hand reaches out to caress Ari's cheek and she leaned into the touch, savoring the simple gesture of love that seemed so unlike the ghoul's usual burst of agitation he usually carried with him.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Ari asked softly as she studied his features.
"Just wondering why you stayed...if you regretted it." Dew replied honestly as his orange gaze studied her right back as he idly stroked her face.
The woman laughed a bit and turned her head to kiss his palm. "I mean...wasn't exactly how I planned it to go but...I don't regret it." she replied back with a little shrug. "Do you?" she asked searching his face.
He watched her for such a long time that she began to feel uneasy. Ari sighed rolling over as if to leave the bed while a sinking feeling weighed on her chest. He had regretted hadn't he? Someone like Dewdrop was known for sleeping around; was she just another notch on his belt that he could brag about?
An arm wrapped around her waist and yanked her back into bed just as she was about to get up and Dewdrop was suddenly crowding against her from behind.
"Hey." he craned his head to look at her face. "I don't regret it Ari." he gave her a slight smile.
"You...don't?" she asked softly looking over at him with furrowed brows. "But...aren't I just another one of your conquests?" she asked with a slight roll of her eyes as if she was joking but inwardly she was wondering if it was true; a little scared to know the truth.
"Conquest? Fuck woman, I've wanted you since the minute you walked into Papa's office." the fire ghoul replied with a frown before nudging her nose with his. "I suppose I just...didn't expect you to want me back. I didn't know how...I mean we'd just met."
Her heart melted a bit and she rolled over to face him again. "Dewdrop...You are not someone who deals with his emotions normally. But you aren't normal, hell you aren't even human. But that doesn't bother me...I don't regret what happened either. I just thought that perhaps I was just...another sibling in the clergy that got your dick wet you know?" she mumbled while playing with a strand of his long hair.
"Haven't you heard a word I just said? I fucking love you, you insufferable woman." Dewdrop grumbled giving her a squeeze and pretending to not notice the way her eyes widened a bit or the flush of dark on his cheeks from the heat of his confession.
Ari smiled up at him and drew him in for a sweet kiss. It wasn't like their previous kisses. This one was sweet and slow; tender as they expressed their adoration for each other. Something Ari didn't know Dew could be capable of before this and it made her heart flutter a bit knowing that she brought this side out of him; he'd always been so standoffish and at arm's length - how had she managed to break down his walls so quickly to end up like this? She didn't know but she was so grateful it had happened because despite not ever dreaming something like this would happen, it had never been in the plan to fall in love again, it did and she wondered just how much they could grow together after this while they explored this new dynamic between them.
Their kiss was broken when a knock at the door made them pull apart with a start. Dewdrop growled covering Ari's body with his own when the door began to open to reveal Swiss standing there and allowing the light from the hallway to shine into the dim bedroom.
"Aye, sorry to disturb you too filthy little love birds, but Copia wants to talk with Ari asap." Swiss said playfully before leaning against the doorframe. "So, Dewdrop give up the manager!" the multi-ghoul snorted with a slight smirk when he took in the clothes scattered around the room in a show of wild disarray.
"Took ya'll damn enough." he added under his breath as he turned to leave but he paused to glance over his shoulder. "I suggest you shower though first; we can smell you guys from the fucking living room." he shot over his shoulder before shutting the door once more.
Only when the door was finally done with did Dewdrop relax, grumbling a displeased sound as he dropped his weight on top of the woman causing her to laugh a bit and comb her fingers through his hair even when a blush deep red and hot coated her cheeks. Had the others actually heard them last night? And was it true...did their mixed scent actually reach into the living room? The very thought of the other ghouls being able to smell them made her want to crawl under a hole and hide away in mortification.
"I hope I'm not in trouble." Ari finally muttered on a sigh.
"Do you think it has something to do with the greenhouse? We did sort of mess up Mountain's plants a bit." she added with a wince remembering the fallen pots of flowers and smooshed flower buds they'd been so hazardous about the night before. She could only imagine the gentle giant being kind of pissed and it was aside of the Earth ghoul she didn't want to experience.
"Nah, Mountain probably figured something like that would happen after hearing Phantom's plan; he'd agreed to it anyway so he's partly at fault. He won't be mad for long; especially not towards you." Dewdrop snorted before rolling off of her.
Ari took the opportunity to get out of bed; dragging the bed sheet along with her and smiled over her shoulder. "I suppose your right, I'll make it up to him somehow though. I'd feel even worse if I didn't try to fix what we broke. Are you going to join me for a shower or?..." she raised a brow
Dew growled playfully. "If I join you in the shower you'll be late for your meeting with Papa."
Ari shrugged with amusement glinting in her eyes. "I suppose your right. Alright then, see you in a bit." she walked into his bathroom without another word and closed the door behind it.
She ended up being late to meet Copia anyway because Dew decided he wanted to join after all but she was still walking with a pep in her step as she headed down the hallway towards the familiarity of his office. She knocked out of habit before entering despite having used his space as her personal office on a daily basis and when she entered she found Copia sitting at his desk with some papers he was reading; his brows were knitted together as he was reading showing how concern for whatever words he was gathering from the pages and hadn't heard her enter.
Ari paused watching him a moment; her bright happy mood dimmed a bit to concern as she studied him. Clearing her throat at last she went over to the desk and gently pushed the paper down onto the table.
"What's that face for Copia?" she asked softly when the man finally met her gaze.
"Ah, you are here at last Ari. Good good. We have to talk."
The manager's guard instantly went up at his tone of voice as she leaned back to her full height. "Sorry, I'm late." she didn't give an explanation although she figured he'd already figured it out himself.
"What's all this about?" she added
Copia motioned for her to take a sit and after a heartbeat, she finally did with the slowness of someone who was wary of what was going to be talked about wondering exactly what this was about. Had she broken a rule by getting together with Dew? Had something come out in the tabloids that she wasn't aware of? Shit, was she going to be fired for something she wasn't aware of that she'd done?!
"Mi caro, something's been brought up to our attention recently. Today, in the mail have gotten a letter from your ex-husband's attorney..."
Ari's hackles rose up some more. "Braydon's lawyer? What the hell is this about? We finished the divorce, the court approved my claims and it's final! What the hell is he up to? Is he suing you for something?" she demanded feeling angry at the thought her ex-husband would stoop so low as to attack her or her friends out of spite.
Copia played with his fingers on his desk. "Not exactly...he's actually suing you." he said softly.
"Me?" her brows rose sharply. "For what?! I didn't do shit to him! I hardly ever saw him as is!" she stated angrily.
"Si si. We know this. But err, here just read this. It'll explain everything." Copia slid the paper he had been reading across the desk to her and she snatched the paper up angrily and began reading it.
The more she read the more her face turned red with anger and shock as the emotions written all over her face gave her away to the turmoil going on inside her head as she she took in the words on the page.
"He's suing me for parental rights?" she muttered slowly. "Parental rights to what exactly? We have no kids and we have no pets. That'd been made clear to the judge with proof!" she stated tossing the paper back on the desk.
Copia cleared his throat. "There's more....he's here waiting in the lobby with Sister Imperator. He insists on speaking with you and won't take no for an answer despite us telling him that you did not want anything to do with him."
Ari rose to her feet sharply. "Stay here I'm going to sort this out! This shit is ridiculous, I don't know what the hell he's up to but-"
The door suddenly opened to find Sister Imperator standing in the doorway and right behind her was Ari's ex-husband and two ghouls who at a quick glance seemed to be Dewdrop and Ifrit.
Ari's jaw clenched as she faced the group while they entered and her glare was set straight on her ex-husband. "Braydon." she stated coldly.
"Ariel. Good to see you again." Braydon crossed his arms. "You haven't been answering my messages." he added as a greeting.
"Because there is nothing to say to you. The case was finalized; I have no obligation to speak with you any longer." Ari's lip twitched but she tried to keep a professional face in front of Sister Imperator; the last thing she wanted was to cause a scene and give the stern woman a reason to advise her contract to be revoked.; whatever the hell this man was up to was enough trouble spelled out with a capital T.
"I see you've gotten the court papers." Braydon glanced at the papers on the desk and Ari fought not to roll her eyes as she motioned to him.
"What is this about Braydon? What the hell are you playing at? Parental rights? We don't have kids." she stated crossing her own arms. "You can't seem to keep your dick in your pants or must up any sort of care in the marriage for us to even remotely be in the same bed for such shenanigans," she added; in her peripheral, she saw Dewdrop tense at the mention of topic but she refused to look at him in case she gave anything away; she didn't know who knew about her and Dewdrop and she wasn't going to give Braydon more fuel to the fire to start some more bullshit.
"Actually...remember that last month right before you got this job?" Braydon raised a brow in a way that almost looked mockingly.
Ari frowned trying to remember. "What are you talking about?"
"The party, silly." he smirked back at her. "The one my parents threw for the holidays."
"Oh right, the party where you ignored me all night long and I sat in the corner by myself trying to be invisible? That wasn't so hard. What about it?"
"You drank a lot."
"And?" Ari raised a brow.
"Oh Ariel, must I spell it out for you? You were drunk, I took you home, and you were rather clingy that night... quite whiny too." he snorted and rubbed his forehead as if the memory pained him to recall.
"Braydon, we didn't sleep together." Ari deadpanned. "I woke up in my bed alone because you went to work like you always do. I don't even remember the last time that you even slept in the same bed as me. Nothing happened." Ari barked at him
"Then explain these." he withdrew from his inner suit pocket an envelope and handed it over.
Ari watched him suspiciously and snatched it from his hand before tearing open the envelope and grabbing the contents. A stack of pictures held in her hand that she slowly went through. Each one made her face grow pale. They were all pictures of her in states of undress with Braydon the same. Pictures of them kissing, pictures of her being clingy to him and they all looked like selfies...not someone else taking them from afar. They made her stomach churn. Not just from the images that clearly looked as if they were in throes of passion but the very idea that she'd have gotten so drunk she'd throw herself at him. She knew she had no feelings for him and she knew she hadn't gotten drunk! Maybe a little tipsy but not enough that she'd have blackout and not remembered any of these. Even in a drunken state she'd never want to be near that man. So what were those pictures? The woman certainly looked like her but she knew in her gut this wasn't right. She wouldn't do something like this; she wouldn't have taken pictures of them and she certainly wouldn't have slept with her ex-husband after everything they've been through. She wasn't desperate enough and had resigned herself to a loveless marriage so what the hell was this bullshit she was looking at?!
"Ah, I see now that you are starting to get the idea. But wait there's more. Here let me help you." Braydon's smug ass walked over and grabbed something from the bottom of the envelope and held it up.
"Ring a bell yet? You called out of work for a week after that because you were so sick."
Ari stared at the object in horror. "That is not fucking mine and you know it! I wasn't drunk enough to want to sleep with you Braydon! And even if I was I wouldn't fucking touch you with a ten-foot pole!" Ari snarled. "And I had food poisoning! I'm not....I wasn't..." she shook her head and smacked the object from his hand as hard as she could out of anger.
It slid across the floor until it stopped right in front of Dewdrop's feet causing the ghoul to look down at the object with stunned silence; staring down at the two pink lines.
"I'm not pregnant Braydon."

So when she notices Phantom having a rough day; she puts her skills to good use to help him relax.

The music was playing softly in her ears from the earbuds stuck in her ears; blocking away the noise of the hallway as siblings bustled around chatting and doing their chores together. She was oblivious to her surroundings as she swept the walkway while softly humming the song she listened to under her breath; she was blissfully unaware of the figure that was approaching from behind while her gaze focused on the broom that she effortlessly moved back and forth as she cleaned up the stones of the debris of fallen autumn leaves that fell from the trees and swept through the lawn; the weather was beautiful despite it being early October and the chill of Autumn hadn't fully kicked into full gear leaving some of Summer to give beautiful calm mornings such as today. When a hand gently touched her shoulder Luna spun around with a gasp of surprise nearly knocking over the figure that stood behind her looking just as startled.
"Marie! I'm so sorry, I didn't hear you come up!" the girl pulled her earbuds from her ears and gave a sheepish smile to the older woman.
Marie was an older Sister who had been at the Clergy since the beginning of the Church and worked closely with Sister Imperator. Marie always struck Luna as a serious woman with a hidden soft spot for some of the younger Siblings but Luna never had an issue with her before even when her presence made her a little nervous.
"No, that's alright. I was just coming over here to inform you that the Ghouls have gone to practice and it's laundry day." she informed clasping her hands in front of her and giving Luna a pointed look.
The girl blinked at her a moment before her eyes widened. "Oh! Oh yes of course! I'm so sorry, I completely forgot." her cheeks heated red.
"I'll get on it as soon as I'm done here!" she added quickly as she gripped her broom.
"Very good." Marie gave a nod before she turned and headed back up the path.
Luna blew out a breath before returning to her work; her hands a bit jittery now as she finished up sweeping. She loved working in the ghouls' den but they made her nervous. Despite being a friendly but quiet person and working around the ghoul den for a while now doing some manual tasks for them; she didn't really interact with them much even if they tried to initiate contact. It was a rule that most siblings shouldn't be encouraged to seek out interactions with the ghouls but as one of the very few selected to deal with chores in their personal space, Luna had the opportunity to have those moments.
The ghouls fascinated her and she'd heard them play once or twice as she passed by the rehearsal space while going to and fro from chores and loved their music and skill but it was something personal and a little intimate to be within their personal quarters. She hadn't been on this job for long - maybe a few weeks at most but it always gave her a thrill when it was her day to work within their space.
When she was done with her sweeping she quickly put away her broom only to trade it in for the supply cart in the hallway before making her way down the hall towards the ghoul's den. She knew by Marie's previous words that they were at practice but just out of habit and respect she knocked; when she didn't hear a response as expected she entered with a spare key she had for the door - a key highly coveted and given to a very rare selected few; exchanged between only the two people who did the chores around the ghouls wing.
Luna entered pulling the cart in with her but just as she was closing the door she heard a noise behind her and spun around in surprise - no one was supposed to be in here but her at this time. Her cheeks heated when she spotted a shirtless Rain stepping out of the bathroom in the hallway who now stopped in utter shock like a deer in the headlights of a car.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" Luna spun around while slapping a hand over her eyes. "N-no one was supposed to be in here at this hour!" she felt her cheeks heat up again that reached to her ears that burned hot.
"Sorry! Luna right?" Rain said laughing nervously.
"N-no it's okay! Uh yes. You know my name?" Luna stammered nervously.
"Well, yeah. You are here at least twice a week. Kind of hard not to notice." Rain chuckled as he wiped his face from the water droplets running from his hair.
"Uh yeah..." Luna smiled slightly at the knowledge they knew her by name. "Again, I'm sorry for intruding. I was just here to grab laundry for wash day and see if there was anything needed restocking; I can come back later if-"
"Ain't it our little birdie coming back huh? Is it laundry day already?" Swiss' voice came from behind Luna and she jumped not having heard him come out.
"You know you don't have to look away all the time; we're okay with you seeing our faces doll." Swiss laughed as he gripped her shoulder causing her to hesitantly drop her hand and raise her eyes to meet his.
He was smiling down at her with his signature Swiss smile. "See, we aren't that scary." he patted her shoulder.
"If you don't mind my asking...what are you guys doing back?" she subconsciously looked down at her digital watch on her wrist in confusion.
"Papa wasn't feeling good; still hungover from the night before and Phantom also had a headache so we cut it short today." Rain said.
Luna turned around with a concerned look on her face. "Oh? If Phantom needs something I can go grab him some painkillers or something else. Whatever you guys need let me know!" she smiled slightly and clasped her hands together.
"B-but if you don't mind; I'll go ahead and grab your laundry if you have any?" she added
"Yeah, sure. Thanks birdie!" Swiss grabbed one of the totes from her cart and headed for his room to grab his laundry.
Rain smiled slightly as he placed his wet towel into another tote before pointing down the hall. "If you don't mind Luna, would you mind going to check in on Phantom?" he began grabbing some items from her cart to restock the bathroom.
"What? No hey wait that's my job!" she tried grabbing back the items
"Tsk. Stop, we are capable of maintaining our own space. You hush." he bopped her on the nose playfully with a warm smile before he headed for the steam-filled bathroom.
Luna stared flabbergasted; what was she supposed to do with Phantom? She didn't have anything to give him...but maybe she could get him something if he needed it - she'd have to ask him. Gathering up her courage knowing that she was pretty much breaking a rule by initiating conversations with the ghouls at this point she headed down the hall.
Dewdrop and Mountain were nowhere to be seen but Phantom's door was open a crack and dark inside. She politely knocked before nudging the door open.
"Phantom...I'm sorry to disturb you but...Rain asked me to check in on you. I'm Luna...I'm here to grab your laundry for wash day. The others said you weren't feeling well. Do you need anything?" she asked softly as she stood at the threshold peering into the darkened room.
She could make out a lean figure sitting on the edge of the bed with his head in his hands and her heart pinched in sympathy. He didn't say anything at first and she thought perhaps he hadn't heard her but then his head lifted and his tired eyes gleamed from the light in the hallway; he didn't look so good.
"Oh, you don't look well, do you?" she murmured as she walked in with tentative steps and rested a hand on his shoulder. "Can I grab you anything? A glass of water or maybe something from the nurse's office for your headache? Just tell me what you need."
She was surprised that instead of pushing her away or telling her to leave Phantom actually wrapped his arms around her and buried his face into her stomach to hold her tight. Her hands hovered awkwardly not sure what to do but she could tell how his body seemed to relax against her and she smiled slightly as she rested a hand on his head. Softly carding her fingers through his thick dark hair. This elicited a chittering sound of contentment that ended on a groan as her fingers softly scratched at his scalp.
"What, does that feel good?" she laughed softly as she continued to do that.
"Why do you always smell good?" Phantom grumbled against her as he closed his eyes at the feeling of her hands in his hair. "You always smell good, you always sound so pretty, and you have a calming presence." it was almost a grumble at this point and Luna felt her cheeks flush with a blush at the compliments.
"I-I don't know." she replied "Thank you though..."
Biting her lip she glanced at the door and nudged at the ghoul's shoulder. "But really, do you need anything? I don't know what ghouls can take that'll actually work for headaches but-"
"Just you. Just stay like this with me a little bit longer." Phantom's grip tightened on her as if he was afraid she'd pull away. "You're helping my headache go away."
"Phantom...." her voice softened as she gazed down at him with a small smile. "I have to grab laundry you know..."
"Fuck laundry." the quintessence ghoul tipped backwards causing Luna to fall with him on top of his chest. Phantom maneuvered her the way he liked; scooting her up the bed to his pillows before stretching out across her body while resting his head against her chest. He was sure to hear the pounding of her heart but he didn't seem to mind as he snuggled against her like an overgrown cat.
"I-I can't stay Phantom...I'm already breaking a rule talking to you..If anyone finds out what's going on I could get in trouble." she murmured staring down at the top of his head.
"You won't get in trouble." Phantom yawned "Just lay here with me a little while longer. Please." his head lifted and his eyes stared up at her imploringly; damn those big eyes she couldn't say no.
"Alright. Ten more minutes and then I do really have to get back to work, okay?" she caved but her rewarding smile from him was worth it as he rested his head back down and her hand began combing through his locks again.
The room was silent for a while after that until Luna spoke up. "Did you mean what you said? Do I really make you feel better just by being here?" she asked biting her lip as she stared up at the ceiling.
"Mhm." Phantom nodded against her chest. "I'm a quintessence, Luna. Your aura...your very soul. I can feel it. It's like a balm that makes me feel so much better. No other drug could ever do what you do." he sighed contently as his large hand idly stroked up and down her arm draped over his back.
"I'm glad." Luna smiled into the dim room. "I don't think anybody had said that to me before." she laughed a bit at that. "No one seems to notice. I'm just that quiet girl that helps out around the Abbey." she mumbled.
"Well, you certainly do it for me." he replied giving her arm a squeeze.
"Thank you." she whispered closing her eyes.
She didn't realize it but sometime while laying there she'd fallen asleep; when her eyes finally snapped open it was to the sound of the door creaking open causing her to gasp in surprise and look at her watch.
"Oh shoot!" she jolted upright knocking Phantom off of her and jostling him awake "We fell asleep! Oh, man it's late!" she stared at the clock realizing that she'd missed out on dinner and her duties for today. "Sister Marie is going to be so mad!" she began scrambling up from the bed but an arm wrapped around her waist yanking her back down.
"Chill, hey. Calm down Birdie!" Swiss stood in the doorway with a plate of food in his hand. "We got it taken care of. She's been informed and that other sibling stopped by to grab the laundry for you. No need to panic."
"What?! No no no! It was my job, I wasn't trying to slack off."
"You weren't. You were aiding one of the ghouls. Don't sweat it." Swiss chuckled as he entered and placed a plate in her lap. "Here, got you something to eat. Just relax. You're all good." he told her
Luna looked down in surprise at the plate that held a sandwich and some fruit on the plate. "This...thank you. That was very nice of you Swiss." she gave him a small smile. "I'm sorry to have bothered you."
"You weren't bothering nobody." he smirked "Although, Phantom may start bothering you instead. He's been addicted to your presence since the first day you started working this job for us." he chuckled.
"Fuck off asshole." Phantom hissed at him feeling a blush ting his cheeks.
"Alright alright. I'm gonna go watch a movie with the others. Feel free to join if you want." he offered before leaving.
"God, that's kind of embarrassing." Luna laughed covering her face. "I didn't mean to fall asleep like that. I hope I wasn't bothering you Phantom."
"Bothering me? You put me to sleep too." he laughed with her as he reached around to steal a grape from her plate.
"But...I mean Swiss was right...Your presence does make my day." he mumbled leaning his back against the headboard. "I...I wouldn't mind it if you came around more." he shrugged looking away.
"You really want me to come around more?" Luna asked looking over at him with wide eyes.
"Yes." he replied honestly meeting her eyes.
She stared at him a long moment before shyly coming to sit shoulder to shoulder with her and held out her plate for him to snack on. "I'd like that too." she replied with a soft smile.
"Anytime you need me just...send for me yeah?"
Phantom smiled over at her and bumped his shoulder with hers. "I'll light the bat signal whenever I need you." he replied but Luna could already guess; Phantom would be seeking her out a whole lot more often than just to help him.

The Mass hall was bustling with the usual sounds of clinking cups, murmured conversations, and the soft hum of background music playing overhead in the speakers. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and whatever was on the breakfast menu for the day fills the air, adding to the familiar atmosphere Ari was so used to. It had been two weeks since the end of the tour and they had returned to their usual routine at the Abbey. Still, everything was not as routine as it had been - hell even the siblings had noticed the tension when the band returned making Ari feel as horrible now as she did away; she knew they would be talking behind her back wondering what had happened and she didn't blame them. Her career had felt like it was soaring in the beginning and now she felt as if she didn't know where to go from here. Dewdrop had ignored her since they had gotten back home; going so far as to pretend she wasn't there or ask someone else questions that could be asked to her directly - like some kind of middleman.
In one corner, amidst the chatter of the siblings of the Church, Ari sits at the Ghoul table nursing a cold cup of coffee; a cup long past cooled off from its usual hotness the longer she sat there brewing in her own thoughts. Phantom, who sat across from her had made it his mission to never let her be alone when she got this broody. The pained expression etched on her face and her eyes that were slightly red, a sign of her recent tears and troubles that has become the norm to those with keen eyes; no amount of makeup or sleep could hide the turmoil that roared inside of her and for a quintessence ghoul like him; he hated to see his friend looking like this - hated to feel the emotional heaviness that seemed to engulf her.
Across from Ari, Phantom looks concerned and attentive as he watches her; she had been sitting here for the last 3 hours barely even touching the coffee he'd brought her when he caught her heading this way a few hours before in the hallway that very morning.
Softly, Phantom reaches out to gently grab her attention with a hand on her arm. "Ari, I can see how much you're hurting. Do you want to talk about it?"
Her lips turned up into a wry smile as she shook her head and stared down at her coffee. "There isn't much to say anymore. Dew won't talk to me and if he won't...I can't fix things." she blew out a breath.
"Makes me wonder if it's worth sticking around. I can't sleep properly, I'm messing up at my job, and I know Copia is trying to be supportive but even he is getting stressed out from the lack of professionalism I usually show and I just...I just don't know how much more I can take, Phantom." her tired eyes lifted to meet her friend's.
His face softened even if she couldn't tell behind his mask as he gave her arm a squeeze. "Oh sweet pea, it'll get better. I promise, Dewdrop is hard-headed and for a while he and I never got along when I was first summoned but he's just hurting too...he doesn't know how to feel about any of this but I promise you he's not as unaffected as you think. You really need to try to talk to him again." he advised softly.
"I can't Phantom! He won't speak to me! He won't even hear me out! Like what the hell am I supposed to do if he won't even try to listen?! He won't even look at me!" she asked as her voice rose sharply; gaining the attention of a few siblings at the nearby tables.
Phantom hushed her gently and shook his head. "We'll work it out. love. I promise you, we will. I and the others will help...look, if he doesn't talk to you on his own terms then we need to force his hand." he stated seriously.
"We can't watch you just...turn into a husk and wither away like this." he added sighing softly.
"Oh? And what do you expect to do? Lock me and him in a room together?" Ari snorted leaning away from him; as if tucking herself away from even his hold that had been nothing but comfort to her even if she wouldn't say it out loud to him.
"If that's what we got to do, then yes." Phantom scowled tapping the table with his fingers. "Enough is enough Ari. If you still want to fight for him then yes. Whatever it takes." he replied staring her down.
Ari stared back at him. Trying to see his expression through his goggled mask but she couldn't. But what other choice did she have if not to trust him? Just leave and regret it for the rest of her life? Her shoulders slumped as she gave him a curt nod.
"Okay." she finally replied. "Okay, Phantom. It's in your hands, my friend." she conceded wondering just what he was going to get up to; how was he supposed to get her and Dewdrop in a room together without him getting pissed off at her?
"Good." he took her hands and placed a kiss on her knuckles before rising from the table. "Meet me in two hours in the Green house." he told her before he was striding with purpose out of the room while Ari watched with a worried expression on her face as he disappeared.
She didn't have to wait too long afterward to see what he was up to. When the two hours were up she went out to the Greenhouse. The sky was looking kind of gloomy with dark clouds threatening to downpour any second so she rushed her way through the garden where she spotted Phantom and Mountain standing outside waiting for her.
"Okay...what's going on?" she looked between the pair but they said nothing.
"Okay, guys what-" she began but Phantom suddenly grabbed her and as Mountain opened the door to the Greenhouse she was shoved in before the door was slammed shut and the audible click of a lock fell into place.
"Oh those son of a bitches did not just-"
"The fuck?" Ari spun around to find Dewdrop standing further in the room with a bag filled with some green buds.
It only took her about 3 seconds to realize what was going on; this was Phantom's brilliant plan - to literally lock them in a place that only had one entrance and exit. Mountain must have bribed Dewdrop to come here without telling him what was going on under the guise he could pick some of Mountain's special weed he was growing and then lock them in here when she arrived.
"Well, looks like that oddly worked," she muttered crossing her arms before speaking louder. "I'm sorry Dew...this was the only way they saw that you would talk to me." she murmured.
"I'm not talking to you." Dew spat
"We have to...if we don't Dew..." she swallowed looking at the floor. "Look. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I ran away from you pretending it was because of morals. I'm sorry that I brushed you aside thinking it meant nothing..." she closed her eyes a moment to breath.
"I never meant to hurt you." she confessed
Dewdrop snorted shaking his head and turning to go back into the greenhouse further to drop his stash on the workbench and began rummaging around drawers to see if Mountain had any papers to roll up a blunt.
"Dew please talk to me! I'm trying here!" Ari called pursuing him. "Even if it means you shouting and cursing at me at least talk to me please!" she was practically begging now.
When Dewdrop still said nothing her shoulders slumped and she shook her head. "That's it then? You'll continue to just ignore me? I'm not here trying to talk to you as your manager...I'm trying to talk to you as Ari, as your friend!" she insisted.
Dewdrop started to roll up a joint and Ari just watched him with sad eyes; the clouds outside finally letting loose the rainfall from above making loud pattering sounds overhead and casting the place into darkness since the lights weren't on; as if they were affected by the storm inside of her in that moment. How many tears had she shed for this man already? How many hours had she lost in sleep because of him? She was trying goddamn it! Why couldn't he just talk to her?
"Dew...if we can't work this out...I may have to leave...Find another job or something. Because believe it or not, I do care about you. And if this issue between us continues to be like this then I won't work right...having a good relationship with you guys is important and if you and I can't have that...it'll screw everything up."
She didn't realize as she spoke that Dew's shoulders seemed to tense up when she mentioned leaving the Clergy. She turned her back to him and walked over to a window to stare out through the raindrops rolling down at the gloomy weather outside wondering how much longer Phantom and Mountain planned on keeping them locked inside; where they watching them or listening in somehow on what was going on? Or were the pair locked in here for a certain amount of time? She didn't know, but the air inside was stifling; mixed with the scent of greenery and potting soil.
She stared out unaware of the shadow that lurked behind her; Dewdrop had risen from his seat and approached her on silent steps until she shuddered when she felt the ghost of his breath against the back of her neck but she didn't turn around, afraid that if she moved then he'd leave again and close off. So she stared out of the window with her heart pounding in her throat - something she knew Dew probably heard with his inhuman hearing. He couldn't be so stupid not to hear the thunder of her heart.
The phantom touch came next, featherlight along her shoulders as if he was too scared to actually touch her. Just the gentle brush of fingertips that slid down her arms until they reached her hands and she felt his unearthly heat as his fingers slide oh so slowly between her own until she felt as if he was enveloping her just by holding her hand alone; having him this close after so long felt almost unreal as if she was dreaming and if she turned around he'd disappear.
"You wouldn't leave." his voice came soft near her ear. "You'd regret it."
Licking her dry lips she turned her head slightly to look up at him; the lights from outside the greenhouse casting a array of shadows from the raindrops on the window along her face as if reflecting her inner tears.
"Yes, I would regret it; I'd regret it more than anything in my life, Dew." she whispered staring up at his unmasked face; etching the details of his angular features in her brain.
"So give me a reason not to make that mistake." she said softly searching his face before her gaze dropped to his lips. "Give me a reason to stay."
"You've made it clear you didn't want anything from me, Ari." his eyes glued to her face as he spoke making her skin flush under his hard stare.
"I'm here aren't I?" her lips curled up slightly into a sad smile. "I don't want to leave Dewdrop. So, make me stay. Give me a reason not to walk out that door and never look back." she challenged; an almost desperate edge to her voice as she looked up at him.
His grip tightened on her before suddenly his touch was gone and before she could think she was spun around and her back slammed against the window pane before a hot mouth was pressed against hers.
His mouth was hot and hard against hers as if he was taking her anger out on her; whether anger at himself or his anger to her. She didn't know, but she wasn't going to let him leave. Her arms wrapped around his neck to hold him against her as he devoured her mouth. Teeth clanked against each other and a small sting on her lip registered as his sharp fangs piercing the delicate part of her lip - not that she cared.
Her head was fuzzy again whether from lack of oxygen or from the magnitude of his presence; her breaths coming in deep pants as he finally surrendered her mouth to stare down at her with glowing eyes like the flames of hell themselves staring down at her - his face morphing into something she couldn't recognize.
"Tell me to stop." his hand snaked up her chest to wrap around her throat; his touch was light and seemingly unthreatening but the look on his eyes promised far more.
"Tell me you changed your mind. Because if you don't Ari...You won't be leaving anytime soon." he muttered in a voice akin to a growl.
her eyes stared up half-lidded into his face and her tongue flicked out to lick the smear of red from her lip; an action that caught his attention and made his eyes darken into something far more primal than she'd ever seen.
"I'll gladly burn in hell with you Dew." she whispered before wrapping her hand around the one cradling her throat and tightening her hold around his.
He growled and yanked her by his hold back into him to kiss her again. Giving no room for her to fight or to get away as he kissed her as if he'd never kiss her ever again. His hands left her throat and instead started yanking at her clothes; there was the sound of something ripping and she gasped pulling her mouth from his.
"Dew! This is my favorite shirt!" she chided him breathlessly as his mouth latched onto her neck; surely to leave as many hickeys and bites as he could as he fully yanked off her now ripped shirt from her body leaving her in her jeans and bra.
"I'll buy you a fucking new one!" he snapped as he yanked at the confinements holding her breasts hidden from him. The humid air of the greenhouse felt clammy on her heated skin as she was spun around and pressed face-first into the glass; her hands slamming with a thunk against it as she braced herself.
Dewdrop's mouth was hot against her shoulder as he placed little bites there while his skillful hands yanked at the buttons of her jeans and as his hand slipped inside her knees went weak causing him to wrap an arm around her waist to hold her up against him.
"Shit...how are you this wet already?" he hissed against her ear as he pressed two long fingers as deep as they could go inside of her; pumping slowly causing her to whimper as she bit her lip to keep as quiet as she could.
"You're practically soaking my hand, huh?" he chuckled feeling her tremble against him while he worked her over.
But before he could fully claim her let alone take himself out of his confinement of his tight jeans the door suddenly unlocked and swung open revealing Phantom and Mountain standing in the doorway.
"Hey, guys are you okay? we heard-" Phantom paused with his jaw slack at the scene in front of him.
Ari tensed at being caught red-handed and Dew hissed as he covered her with his body while glaring at his packmate but otherwise didn't remove himself from her body.
"A little busy here Phantom. Fuck off!" Dew snapped.
"Shit! Sorry!" Phantom slapped a hand over his eyes and spun around as he shoved at Mountain's chest to hurry him out of the doorway. "Come on come on!" the quintessence ghoul hissed feeling his face burn with embarrassment as he slammed the door behind them casting the pair back into the darkness.
"Dew..." Ari stammered as she tried to push him to get off. "Maybe we should -"
The fire ghoul sank his teeth into her earlobe at the same time he thrust his fingers hard a few times into her heat causing her to let out an embarrassing little noise and buckle against him again; her grip on his arm like a vice as she throbbed at the motion.
"I'm not finished with you yet princess. I got to give you a reason to stay don't I?" there was an evident smirk on his face even if she couldn't see it.
"Y-yes but..." Ari moaned softly "The others..." she swallowed.
"Fuck them. They don't change shit. Now shut up and let me make it up to you." he withdrew his hand from her pants and idly watched how his fingers glistened in the dim light making her hide her face.
"Turn around." Dew guided her back around before lowering his hands to begin to undo his jeans.
Ari swallowed turning around and watched breathlessly as he undid his pants and shoved them down his thighs along with his boxers allowing her to see all of him.
"Shit Dew is that going to fit?" her eyes widened slightly looking up at him.
"Trust me." Dew's grin was a little feral as he playfully yanked her leg up around his waist. "We'll make it fit."

Chapter 8

Ari should have known better than to think Braydon would let this go without a fight. The papers she had asked her friend to print up and deliver to her soon-to-be ex-husband had not gone over well. Braydon, apparently not having realized that he had called Ari in the middle of his cheating escapades that fateful night didn't understand the need for a divorce. Ari wasn't stupid and neither was he, this came as a blindside to him. What Ari didn't understand though was why he had brought this to court as a counter lawsuit instead of just letting this go without a fight. Neither was happy within the marriage and he had nothing to gain by keeping her as his wife; their marriage had long ago perished in the flames of their workaholic tendencies and neither were happy. Yet, here they were. Wasting both of their time.
Sometime during the tour, Ari had gotten a rather loud and troublesome phone call from her husband demanding to know why she was filing for divorce out of the blue; as if he didn't even fucking know! Already stressed with the situation with Dewdrop who had ignored her presence after their last encounter had edged the woman into a state of being fed up with everything. She was confused, wanting to love a man who clearly wanted her but being stuck with another who wanted nothing to do with her but wanted to keep face. The stress of work, the avoidance of the elephant in the room while on tour, and the overwhelming feeling of being trapped spurred Ari into speaking with Copia to discuss an early leave from the tour which was only half over at this point just so she could drive all the way back here for a court hearing at her husband's lawyer's insistence leaving her friends behind to figure this shit out.
The courtroom was charged with tension as the divorce case between Ari and Braydon unfolds. Ari, with a determined look on her face, sits on one side of the courtroom, accompanied by her assertive lawyer - Caroline Foster; who also had been the one to draw up divorce papers sat beside her. Braydon, a stoic man in his early thirties, sits on the other side with his steely-eyed lawyer, Ms. Harrington with a look of retribution on her face.
Judge Ramirez, well known in their state for being a seasoned judge known for her fairness, presides over the case from her pew.
With a stern look on her face, Judge Ramirez begins the hearing. "We are here today to resolve the divorce proceedings between Ariel Whitmore and Mr. Braydon Whitmore. I expect both parties to conduct themselves with respect and civility. Is that clear?"
Ari and Braydon both nod, their expressions betraying a mix of anger and frustration in an equal manner but out of the pair Ari was calm on the matter; it was her idea after all for this divorce.
Turning to Ari's lawyer the judge continues with a wave of her hand. "Ms. Foster, please state your client's demands."
With assuredness, Caroline gives a nod before speaking. "Your Honor, my client, Mrs. Whitmore, is seeking a fair division of the marital assets. She has been the primary breadwinner throughout the marriage and has made substantial contributions to their acquisition. Additionally, she is requesting nothing more than simply her share of the assets she had put into the marriage as well as the return of her half of the payments for the residency of the shared flat they are living in. She does not want anything of value besides what she had brought with her when they had gotten married; they do not have any children or pets to split custody of and only wish to finalize the divorce."
Ms. Harrington rises to her feet, ready to counter Ms. Foster's claims defensively. "Your Honor, Mr. Whitmore acknowledges Ariel's financial contributions. However, it is important to note that he has also contributed significantly to the marriage, both emotionally and in terms of household responsibilities. The assets should be divided in a manner that reflects both parties' contributions."
The tension in the courtroom reaches its peak as Ms. Foster stands to present further evidence with a folder in her hand that she is looking through; her calm demeanor and mask of indifference not cracking as she speaks up.
"Your Honor, Mrs. Whitmore has worked tirelessly to build her career within the folds of Law. She had been sacrificing her personal life and well-being in the process to upkeep the bills and payments shared while her husband had made less commission in his job; on top of that, she has spent a considerable amount of her time and money to keep things afloat while he worked to promote his career. Mr. Whitemore's contributions pale in comparison to that which she had paid and we have evidence from bank statements that even after his promotion with a higher salary Mrs. Whitmore had still been paying most if not all the cost of bills. She deserves a significant portion of the marital assets to compensate for her dedication and hard work."
Braydon, unable to hold back his anger any longer, interjects with a disbelieving laugh of irony.
"Your Honor, Ariel's claims are exaggerated. I have been supportive throughout our marriage, allowing her to pursue her ambitions. I deserve a fair share of the assets we accumulated together."
Judge Ramirez bangs her gavel, demanding order in the court.
"Enough! I will not tolerate any further interruptions or personal attacks. Both parties will have the opportunity to present their evidence and make their case. The court will render a decision based on fairness and the equitable division of assets." she stated firmly glaring down at them all from her post before she turns to Ari who had said nothing this entire time.
"Mrs. Whitmore, do you have anything to add to this case that you think is crucial to know?" she inquires.
Blinking a moment Ari gathers her courage and stands gracefully; smoothing down her pencil skirt and clasping her hands together. "I do your honor, if I may." she tipped her head respectfully despite the tension in her shoulders.
"Go ahead." the judge replies leaning back in her chair.
"Thank you, your honor. Mr. Whitmore and I have been married for 5 years. And while at the beginning of our marriage, everything had been going well; it is true to the fact that when I got into the Law practice I was making more money while he was a cop and making most of the payments for the rent, utilities, and groceries. His only contribution had been buying us dinner every once in a while and on occasion pitching in to help with rent when money was extra tight. However, over the course of the last 3 years of our marriage, I have come to the realization that there has been infidelity on his part and that the money that he had been making as a detective, albeit better than before, had not been going to the bills needed to pay, but have been going to his...extra-curriculum activities in the form of dates, gifts, and trips with other women. Which is why we are here today in court for a divorce." she slanted her husband a look; catching the nervous look in his eye despite the thunderous look on his face.
"There's no proof of any of that, I have been loyal-" he began to interrupt but Ari would not give him the satisfaction as she grabbed the folders from her friend's hands and held it up flipping through the paperwork as she continued speaking.
"A few years prior we had started a joint bank account that he had been the primary founder of and I secondary but if you look here, your honor you can see where all the money is going; it's been marked between the expanses needed for living expenses and those that he had been using for his indiscretions within the marriage. The marriage itself had been falling apart for the last 3 years; neither of us are happy and after getting evidence of his infidelity I had tried to do this peacefully and quietly but he wished to bring it to court, so here we are."
Judge Ramirez beckoned for the files to look at more closely at as she spoke up. "So you believe he is cheating on you?"
"Yes, your honor. I have proof. He called me in the middle of his act without realizing it. I would like to point out that I don't want anything from him, I would like to get my things back; my half of the deposit for the fees for the flat we share and move on with my life-"
"At least I'm not working for a Satanic church!" Braydon snarled turning to his wife.
"My job has nothing to do with any of this." Ari replied firmly. "We are here because you cheated on me and thought I wouldn't notice; I had. For a few years now had my suspicions; you were the one who made the mistake and slipped up to get caught."
"Order in the court!" the judge banged her gravel on the wood looking between the two. "Mr. Whitmore, your wife's occupation does not have anything to do with the cause of this divorce case. As it seems rather clear from this file here there are some serious issues going on." she stated in a hard tone.
Braydon glared at each Ari but she just tipped her chin up proudly and stared back at him with determination; she wanted and needed nothing from him but for him to get the fuck out of her life once and for all. The courtroom remains a battleground for their conflicting desires and the fight for what they believe is rightfully theirs. When it came time for the case to be judged Ari walked out victorious with a rather large sum of money paid to her.
She never felt more free than she did walking out of that courtroom. When she went into the lobby she got one hell of a surprise; Copia and the ghouls sat waiting for her and the shock was evident when she saw their glamoured state of unease and worry on their faces. That quickly dissipated when they spotted her walking over with her lawyer.
"Ari!" Copia sighed in relief as he rose and offered her a hug; a grateful sigh left her as she took it, slumping against him as she hugged him back - relieved that it was finally over.
"Hi..." she smiled slightly.
"How'd it go?" Cumulus asked coming to give her a hug.
"We won the case strong." Caroline replied beaming. "He didn't even stand a chance." she said proudly.
"Oh, that's a relief! We're so happy for you!" Aurora clapped.
"You fucking skanky bitch! I gave you everything and you want to do this to me?" the group turned to see a furious-looking Braydon stalking over to them.
"Braydon. You lost. End of story. If you weren't going around fucking other women we wouldn't be here today; all I ever wanted was to have a happy marriage but you were so caught up with wandering eyes and work that you didn't want to put in the effort." Ari stated firmly turning to face him head-on.
"You're fucking one of them, aren't you? Maybe more than one huh? Being a manager for a rock band seems tough." he sneered getting in her face.
Ari's eyes widened in shock as her mouth dropped open but before she could tell him off she was shoved to the side into Copia and a fist came flying through the air; making a solid cracking landing directly into Braydon's nose causing him to yell out in pain and double over gripping his blooded nose. Ari turned in stunned surprise to find Dewdrop leering over the injured man.
"If you call her a skank one more time or ever insinuate that she's acting like a whore again I will break every fucking bone in your body. She wasn't the one who was cheating behind your back." he snarled
Swiss and Phantom gripped Dewdrop's shoulders to pull him back away from the man when they noticed the security guards watching on carefully. They waved nervously to them as if to say everything was okay but by the looks on the guards' faces they didn't seem to care - too invested in the drama it seemed.
"Dew we are in a courthouse! Stop it." Phantom hissed in his ear as he bracketed an arm over his friend's chest to keep him from lunging again. Ari reached out to touch Dew's arm and shook her head.
"He isn't worth it Dew. Let it go, we already won the case. No need for further instigation." she warned softly before turning to Caroline.
"Thank you so much for this Caroline. I'll send you a check of your cost fees," she told her with a smile of gratitude.
"Of course." her friend replied matching her smile. "Oh, and...hang on to this one." she winked throwing a thumb towards Dewdrop before taking her leave to go do the paperwork to finish filing the case verdict.
"Si si..." Copia cleared his throat before motioning his group. "Let's go." he nearly pushed them out of the building and towards the bus that was parked at the back of the lot away from prying eyes.
"Copia, I have to ask. Why the hell are you guys here? You're supposed to be on tour!" Ari said as she walked with linked arms with Aurora and Cumulus.
"Ah, about that..." Swiss rubbed the back of his head with a laugh.
"The rest of the tour got canceled by the venue we were supposed to perform at." Rain said with a shrug.
"What? Why?" Ari frowned in confusion.
"Dewdrop caught the stage on fire." Mountain rumbled from behind her making Ari's head snap over to the fire ghoul who was sulking as he walked ahead of the group.
"Dewdrop!" she chastised but her face lit up with laughter after a moment as if she couldn't believe it.
Nudging forward Rain peered at her face. A shy uncertain look shadowed his features. "Ari...does this change anything?..." he asked.
She knew what he was referring to. Was she going to stay as their tour manager or would she leave and find work elsewhere after this whole debacle. One obstacle had been tackled with her divorce...but that still left one uncertain road ahead of her involving a certain fire ghoul. Ari looked over at Dewdrop with a small frown on her face.
"I..." she paused thoughtfully. "Give us a minute?" she asked softly as she let go of the girl's arms and slipped past everybody as they reached the bus.
While they boarded Ari caught Dewdrop's arm before he could follow suit and pulled him away from the entrance. "Dew can we talk?" she asked softly.
He stopped in his tracks but said nothing as he looked away from her. "There isn't anything to talk about."
"There is." she insisted. "We can't keep working like this...You know that; we have to talk about what happened and move forward."
"There's nothing to talk about Ari." Dewdrop muttered pulling his arm from her grasp and heading towards the bus but she yanked him back by the arm.
"Dew stop avoiding me! Enough is enough! We have to talk about this! It's gone over long enough and I'm tired...I just...I need you to talk to me and tell me what your thinking!" she demanded trying to keep her composure.
"You want to talk about it? You want to know what's on my mind?" Dewdrop spun around to face her; their faces close to each other and Ari could see the glimmer of anger in his eyes this close up. The blue was pretty but she missed his orange flames.
"I'm thinking, that I opened up myself to you knowing the fucking risks only to get rejected by the only person I truly ever cared about outside of my pack. It kinda hurts being rejected you know? And I don't fucking think your rejection was solely because you were a 'married' woman Ariel! It's because you are too scared to take the fucking risk because you're too scared of getting hurt; I get it. I'm not everybody's first choice but for lucifer's sake, woman, I wish you'd just fucking get over it and stop thinking like a good person and live once in a while in the moment even if it means catching feels." he snorted drawing away from her.
"I'm done talking about this; you made your choice, now live with it." he turned and stormed inside the bus leaving her standing there staring after him with a helpless look on her face and an ache in her chest as she mulled over his words.
Today, she managed to win her divorce case, and by the end of the week, she would be a free woman at last and take back her maiden surname. But winning this case didn't mean winning Dewdrop over. Would they be able to fix what happened between them or will she be destined to leave the only place she felt wanted and loved in?

The Church's sermon room had been constructed from its usual look to give room to the most anticipated event held every year. Its contemporary blend of sleek design and luxurious decor mixed in with the old history of the church itself with its floor-to-ceiling windows offer breathtaking views of the surrounding Abbey grounds, while candles strung up in the ceiling cast a warm glow over the space. The walls are adorned with old art, and round tables decorated with cloth and table decor provide comfortable seating for the Siblings surrounding the large open space for dancing; the stage which the Papas had used for sermons was decorated also with a band hired for this event played under low spotlit people music that filled the large open space.
Tonight, the Papas host this amazing masquerade party, and the atmosphere is vibrant and electric. The Siblings arrive in beautiful gowns and trendy attire, their masks reflecting the latest fashion trends. The musicians play a mix of upbeat and melodic tunes, creating an energetic ambiance.
At the center of the room, a subdued-lit dance floor warm glow of natural colors, beckoning people to let loose and dance the night away with their partners and friends. Illuminated cocktail tables offer an array of creative drinks, each with a touch of artistry to the side next to the buffet table prepared and decorated for this very night.
Among the crowd of siblings, Y/n could be found mingling with her friends, a charismatic and confident individual wearing a sleek black dress and a mask adorned with sparkles, adding a majestic flare to her designed dress. Y/n exudes charm and magnetism as she engages in conversation with different siblings seemingly having a blast already; but her eyes are wandering, seemingly seeking someone in the crowds with eagerness.
As the party progresses, Y/n's eyes catch sight of the person she had been looking for this entire time, a striking woman in a dazzling gold dress that shimmers like sundust. Her mask is an exquisite combination of metallic and holographic elements, adding an otherworldly allure to her appearance that she already portrayed with her energy as Sunshine, one of Papa's ghouls, and one of Y/n's best friends stood off to the side talking with Cumulus and Cirrus; each wearing such as equally stunning gowns as their packmate.
With excitement, Y/n excuses herself and approaches Sunshine, drawn to her captivating presence and with anticipation of spending time with her; maybe Y/n can get her to dance with the ghoulette just like they used to do in their downtime, or better yet...teach her friend how to Waltz. Y/n had wondered before if Sunshine's over bound energy could be focused enough to do something like that.
Y/n leaned over her friend's shoulder; hands resting on her arms to give them a squeeze of greetings. "You look dazzling tonight Sunny!" the girl smiled brightly at her friend when she turned around,
Sunshine laughed giving Y/n a proper hug filled with warmth at seeing her friend. "I could say the same to you! Look at you! You look amazing tonight, Y/n!"
The sister grinned. "I'm glad you think so! I saved up a lot of money for this dress." she laughed.
"You bought it?" Cumulus gaped making Y/n flush a bit and fiddle with the dress.
"Yeah...I know a lot of people just rent dresses from shops but i really fell in love with this one; I was going to make my own but uh..I didn't have time." she chuckled sheepishly.
"Wow! Well it's money worth spent then!" Cirrus replied with a warm smile before waving around the room. "Have you found anyone to dance with yet?" she added.
"Oh, actually..." Y/n slanted a look at Sunshine. "I was waiting for Sunshine. I wanted to dance with her first." the girl replied.
"Me?" Sunshine's eyes widened behind her mask. "Why would you want that? I mean, I love to dance but this party isn't appropriate for my style of dancing." she laughed.
Y/n rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh I know, I figured I'd drag you to the dance floor and teach you how to waltz." she replied with a cheeky smile on her face.
The other two ghoulettes looked at each other. "Have fun, we're going to go find the guys and see if we can't get one of them to dance with us." Cumulus snickered at the thought at the pair left in search of their packmates.
"So, you want to?" Y/n turned to her friend with a nudge to her side.
"Are you serious though?" Sunshine glanced at the dance floor.
"Positive! Come on it'll be fun!" Y/n promised as she grabbed her friend's hand and dragged her over to the dance floor and got into position.
"I don't know where to put my hands." Sunshine admitted glancing around at the others nearby dancing. "Am I supposed to be the guy here or the girl part?" she asked.
Y/n chuckled and grabbed her hands. "You can be the girl part; it's easier and I'll guide you okay? No need to be nervous!" Y/n replied as she placed Sunshine's hand on her shoulder before taking hold of the other in one hand and resting her own hand on the ghoulette's waist.
"Now, just follow my lead. One step back," Y/n said softly as she shifted one foot towards the other encouraging her own foot to step back. "Good! Now to the side." Y/n expertly side stepped before taking a step back.
"It's just like your walking in a square! See, one step forward, side step to the side, one step back, step to the other side and repeat...there you go your getting the hang of it!" Y/n encouraged as she guided her friend through the steps.
Sunshine wouldn't stop looking down at their feet as Y/n guided her around the room to the waltz song playing classically in the back.
"Chin up, you don't need your eyes to dance with your feet." Y/n laughed softly as she nudged Sunshine's chin back up so they were facing each other again.
"I feel silly! I'm not used to dancing like this-" Sunshine overstepped and her foot landed onto Y/n's toes making both of them wince. "Shoot Y/N/N I'm sorry!"
Recovering quickly the sibling shook it off and guided her back into the rhythm. "All good. Don't worry about it, trust me I'm used to it. It's to be expected." she replied before letting her go and giving her a little spin before drawing her back into her causing Sunshine to laugh a bit.
"People are staring!" she hissed softly glancing at the other dancers who were glancing at them.
"So? Let them! since when do you get all shy on me? It's just your best friend." Y/n shrugged with a slight smirk of mirth playing at her lips.
"Because...we're both girls?" Sunshine offered glancing away from Y/n's face.
"That doesn't matter and you know it. We've been in much worse situations that people question our sanity." Y/n reassured as she playfully dipped Sunshine making her squeal in surprise and clutch onto her best friend's arms.
"Omg woman give me a warning next time!" they laughed as they continued to dance.
Before long, the song ended and they left the dance floor in favor of getting some drinks. "Well, you had the entire ballroom staring at the pair of yah!" Swiss grinned as he walked over with Cirrus on his arm.
"Oh hush, it wasn't all that big of a deal!" Y/n waved him off before smiling up at them; catching sight of Mountain and Cumulus dancing to a different slow dance song on the dancefloor.
"So, are we going to talk about the elephant in the room?" Cirrus added catching Y/n's gaze.
"Which is?" she raised a brow.
"Cumulus and Mountain are mates but they don't actually know that yet; thick-brained that Mountain is you'd think Cumulus would have spelled it out for him already. She's just a little nervous you know?" Sunshine nudged her friend.
"Aw, that's so sweet!" Y/n gushed clapping. "I mean, it couldn't be worse than Dewdrop and Rain's situation," she added thoughtfully.
"Oh, it could be. Mates are difficult to deal with sometimes so." Swiss shook his head.
"Well, I don't know about you but after this party; I say we spell it out for them both and get it over with." Sunshine added.
"Not until I have another dance!" Y/n pointed to her with narrowed eyes.
Sunshine blushed and looked away. "Deal. I suppose the first one wasn't half bad..." she bit her lip.
"I'm going to go get us a drink before then though! If I can get Aether away from the sweets long enough to do so; poor man's blocking my drink table." Y/n chortled looking over at Aether who was indeed blocking the tables with his darted from one table to the next as he tried everything he possibly could on the table; unknowingly blocking some other siblings who were trying to get stuff from the tables.
As Y/n left Swiss and Cirrus shuffled over to Sunshine and lowered their voice as they watched their friend leave. "So when are you going to tell her Sunny?" Cirrus asked softly as she wrapped an arm around her friend.
"That you like her!" the older ghoulette murmured.
"and that you may be mates too." Swiss added causing Sunshine's cheeks to heat up under her mask.
"Because Y/n's my best friend...I don't want to ruin anything." she murmured watching wistfully as her friend chatted up Aether; expertly guiding him to make room for others while they spoke and joked about something.
"She'd make a good mate, you know. She's worked with us for so long she knows us better than Papa." Swiss mused glancing down at the younger ghoulette.
"I know...But I'm afraid that she'll reject me or that if I tell her it'll ruin what we have."
"That's the point cupcake!" Cirrus gave her a squeeze. "Being mated to another goes beyond friendship. It's something special and unbreakable. Knowing our Y/n, she wouldn't just run away from you because of that. You're her best friend and you'll always be her number one even after you make her your mate officially." Cirrus encouraged before letting the other go and grabbing Swiss' arm.
"Just think about it. Swiss, come on. I want to go dance again!" the woman dragged him away to the dance floor leaving Sunshine alone.
The ghoulette watched her best friend from across the room; watching as her bright smile lit up her face as she made her way back over to her and her heart clenched. She'd tell Y/n the truth. She just had to wait for the right moment; but until then. She'd make her happy with one more dance.
Auth. So sorry it's a bit short! I hope you still like it!

Hey Wonder, can I get 'Slow dancing' with Sunshine? She's always characterised as a ball of energy and I want to teach her to walz 🌞🌞
Hello friendo! What an interesting concept! I'd be happy to see what I can come up with this idea! I assume Sunshine is energetic too so she may struggle with focusing or be clumsy because she's not used to waltzing! I'll see what I can come up with! <3

Joining the Church had been spur of the moment; coming from the background of someone who had been bullied their entire lives and ridiculed for their likes Y/n thought joining the cause would give their life purpose; but it seemed even in the walls here it was hard to be known for what they wished. Y/n was kind-hearted and optimistic, always trying to see the good in others. However, they had recently been having a rough time, as they had become the target of relentless bullying when others didn't realize their words were not as hush-hush as they thought. The hurtful words and actions of Y/n's peers had left them feeling isolated and shattered, struggling to find friends and to acclimate to the new lifestyle; no one tried to be their friend...no one human at least.
Quiet by chance Y/n had seemed to find a sense of kinship with the Church's Earth Ghoul Mountain; the gentle quiet nature of the ghoul often brought Y/n a sense of calm and peace - a fact, that Y/n often feared would cause speculation about them. Mountain never strayed though and continued to be there to Y/n - he was, after all, their only friend and ally in the sea of siblings who talked behind their back.
On one particularly challenging day, Y/n returned to their room with tears streaming down their face. They felt defeated and overwhelmed by the constant negativity that seemed to follow them through the day. The sibling longed for solace and a respite from the world that seemed so harsh even from those who should have been kind to them.
As fate would have it, Mountain called them, as if he could sense the other's mood and aura that clouded with negative energy from wherever he was out; he always seemed to know when he was needed. Mountain was always there for Y/n, a true companion who understood their struggles and supported them unconditionally. As if sensing their distress through the phone, he knew he had to do something to help them; he was off from practice now but before going to see Y/n he made a quick detour to the ghoul's wing for a few needed objects..
When the gentle knock of Y/n's door came, breaking through the gloom in their room their heart swelled with gratitude, knowing that their best friend would go to such lengths to comfort them when they were having a particular bad day. The door opened a crack and Mountain's head poked in to find Y/n sitting on the bed looking worn and a bit dishearted. He did not say anything as he entered with a bag filled with soothing bath salts, scented candles, and a towel from Rain most likely, in hand.
Y/n managed a weak smile, appreciating his thoughtful gesture as they caught sight of the goodies in his bag.
"You didn't have to bring all that." they mumbled.
"Perhaps not, but I sensed that you may have needed a little more than just cuddles and a movie, little one." The ghoul gave a soft smile before motioning their friend up from the bed.
"Come on, up up. I'll run you a bath; let's clear up some of that negative energy, honey." he said guiding Y/n into the small bathroom.
It wasn't anything fancy, kind of small with a tub shower, a toilet, and a single sink with a little bit of counter space beside a cabinet that held extra supplies; it felt even smaller with the tall ghoul inside but neither seemed to mind the cramped space. As Y/n took their perch on the closed toilet seat Mountain began running a hot bath for his friend; dumping in some bath salts and a colorful bath bomb that tinted the water a pretty shade of F/C.
But not only did Mountain prepare a lovely mix of scents for Y/n's bath but as they undressed to sink into the warm bubbles and water the Earth giant began lighting some candles and turning off the lights for them leaving the room to be filled with a soft, comforting glow, created by the flickering candlelight provided and the soft buzz of the bubbles foaming in the water.
As Y/n sank deeper into the warm water, the tension in their body began to melt away. Mountain sat beside them, providing a quiet presence, understanding that sometimes words were unnecessary.
"What happened today little one? What got you so stressed this time? Was it something someone said again?" his voice rumbled quietly in the dimly lit space.
Y/n didn't look at him and instead played with the bubbles covering their water's surface. "Yes and no...It got a bit physical today; someone pushed me on accident and muttered something insulting today and then another tried to lock me in the closet saying something along the lines of That's where I belong and the people like me."
He listened attentively as they poured out their frustrations, fears, and stresses, offering a safe space for them to share their pain. When they were finished Mountain sighed as he moved from his spot and knelt by the bathtub; cupping water in his hands and pouring it over Y/n's head to wet their hair.
"Just relax, I'll wash your hair for you." he offered as he grabbed their favorite shampoo and poured a dollop on their head before beginning to scrub the soap into a lather; as he did so he gave a sigh of resignation as he spoke gently near their ear.
"The church is large, and although its rules are set to welcome everybody who joins Papa and the others cannot have their eyes and ears everywhere at once nor can control people's reactions to newcomers."
He began rinsing the soap out of Y/n's hair. "So let me and the other ghoul's be your eyes and ears; give it time. I promise you, you'll be alright. No one is going to hurt you. Not as long as I and the others ave your back; you just have to promise me you won't keep stuff like this a secret from us. If there is a problem sunshine we want to help you. Okay?" he squeezed their shoulder.
Y/n smiled slightly and reached up to squeeze his hand. "Thank you Mountain...I just don't want to bother you or the others with my problems so much."
"You are not a bother; we enjoy having you around even if some others don't." he smiled down at them before the room got quiet again as Y/n got lost in that; Mountain said nothing more, just allowing them to process while he caringly began running a washcloth along their back and arms.
With each passing minute, Y/n felt the heaviness in their heart being replaced by a newfound sense of tranquility. The soothing scent of the bath salts and the gentle glow of the candles enveloped them, creating an atmosphere of serenity that they desperately needed. But not only that, Mountain's words, being the caring friend that he was, reminded Y/n of their inner strength and resilience. He painted a picture of a future where Y/n would rise above the cruelty and unfairness, where their light would shine even brighter than before. His reassurance to them that they were not alone, that he would always be there to support them through thick and thin meant more to Y/n than they could express in words.
Y/n was reminded of the immense value of having a friend like Mountain even if no one else wanted to be their friend. He was their rock, their guiding light in times of darkness as days like this. As they soaked in the peaceful ambiance of the bath, their friendship grew stronger, deepening the bond they already shared; and all the terrible feelings from today and days past were nothing but a strong reminder that Y/n didn't need a whole gaggle of friends to feel loved and accepted.
By the time Y/n emerged from the bath, their spirit felt rejuvenated. The weight of the day's hardships seemed more manageable, and a glimmer of hope had been reignited within them for a smoother easier future to come. With Mountain by their side, they knew they could face whatever challenges lay ahead.

Auth. I decided to use non-descriptive pronouns for this one since I wasn't sure if you wanted male or female! Sorry it's a little shorter than my previous posts, I got my nails done earlier today and it's hard to type! <3 Hope this was what you were looking for and that you like it, my friend!
