Haedon Yonggungsa

A painting for South Korean festival.

The work is done in mixed media technique on Arches cotton paper (watercolors, markers, gel pens). I was inspired by the wonderful temple on the seashore, Haedong Yonggungsa. They say that if you visit it, at least one wish will come true. Also, the temple is closely related to dragons, even its name in translation means "Temple of the Sea Buddha Dragon Palace". So it is no coincidence that it is the blue sea dragon that rests at the foot of the temple.
