Member Spotlight!

Wildflower has been a steady constant in the Discord and posting on the forum since she joined us in February. She's friendly, engaging and genuinely loves the community and writing with people in it. Since she's been here she's stepped into several plots with new members and has hit the ground running herself. She's also come forward to help contribute content to the site above her own posts and is volunteering to serve the community as our newest Mentor!

Even with a few hurdles this month, she has been around to share pictures of her journeys both near and far and she doesn't seem to let much slow her down. And so, this month's Member Spotlight is shining brightly on Wildflower!

March Event

Hearts for Sale

Spring has sprung and the months are growing warmer as we head into summer. With court in full swing and planting complete, love abounds! It's wedding season in London! All around, everyone seems twitterpated and eager to find love! And what better place to stumble upon romance than at the market? As a melting pot of rich and poor, everyone is invited to participate in this event. With flower shops, book shops, small vendors, ready to wear clothing, fabrics and coffee places, there's no shortage of places to stumble into a potential new flame. 

All classes and walks of life are welcome to attend. If your character is approved on the site, you are invited to reply to this open event thread. To receive the event award outside of this thread, you must put an [E] at the beginning of the event subject. Only threads listed in Fowlers Market with the [E] in them will receive credit, and only threads between established lovers and potential suitors will receive an award. Each writer must post at least 3 posts totaling 400 words or more to qualify for the event award. Happy writing and you can find the main event here!

Member Spotlight

This months member spotlight was hard for me to choose. We've had so many amazing members join this month who created great characters and just make me so excited for the future of Absinthe and the stories that will come out of it. But we had a member really step forward in February and I wanted to call attention to their awesomeness.

Stracksblack is one of our newer members but that didn't prevent her from jumping into things feet first. In taking on two of the most notorious love-to-hate canons, she's inserted herself into some of the most compelling plots on the site. Not only that, but she played an instrumental role in helping us get our Tumblr page up and going by teaching an old decrepit like me how tumblr even works; something I've been trying to figure out for years. lol. She's open to plotting with new people in almost any fashion, and has just been a great member to have on Absinthe. And so, this month's Member Spotlight is shining brightly on Stracksblack!
