Anne Stafford is the eldest child of the 2nd Marquess and Marchioness of Exeter. Like all of the Stafford children, her upbringing was sheltered, strict and suffocating. Right from birth the pressure was on her to be the perfect lady: beautiful, flawless and the embodiment of womanhood. Yet, also like all the Stafford children, the immense pressure on her coupled with the near tyrannical atmosphere has left her with a myriad of insecurities and vulnerabilities which she hides behind a of defensive wall of cutting wit, withering sarcasm and outright anger toward her family and peers. In short, now that she's free of her father, all she wants to do is watch the world burn.

The eldest son to Michael & Annalise, Edmund will inherit his titles and lands when the time comes. But his life is not without loss. Finding love after some time in an arranged marriage, he lost her prematurely after the failed birth of their second child; a boy. Now his life’s breath is in his daughter Abigail who can do no wrong in his eyes. Even four years later he still struggles to accept the loss of his wife and pours himself into his work instead of searching for someone suitable to replace her.
