Cloud can’t talk right now, so I suppose I’ll have to.

We encountered Hojo in there. He was different. I sensed Jenova in him.

Jenova... or Hojo... one of them. Influenced Cloud twice while we were there. He gave the black materia to Hojo before any of us could stop him.

I kept him from attacking Aerith, at least. He’s unconscious, right now. It’s safer that way.
