please <3 thank you! it's been a long time coming for real, the eras tour was my first tswift tour cause it's the first time she came to brazil rip. but honestly.. i've been wanting to rewatch tbosas ever since i saw it for the first time and the songs from that movie are living in my mind RENT FREE. i can not forget rachel belting can't take my charm out of nowhere... insane. i'm gonna be real with you and say my playlists almost always include taylor swift songs only cause... that's mostly what i listen and draw inspiration from. however.. around the time i made patrick there was one song i always used for edits and that was skyfall by adele. specifically the lines you may have my number, you can take my name but you'll never have my heart as well as the bridge cause it truly represented his feelings towards his twin sister and everything they've faced together to me. other songs i can name are kiss with a fist by florence and the machine, whatever it takes by imagine dragons and if you could see me now by the script. those are probably old as fuck but they're the ones i can remember the most. as for faceclaims i wish had more resources... honestly that's so hard cause i usually jump in to make resources of people i wanna use when they have absolutely none LKADJASKL but recently i became obsessed with adim farah, a turkish show and derya pinar ak who's an absolute beauty but has too little resources. matthew noszka, who's one of my favorite white boys of the month and michael yerger who's also a white boy i love and been wanting to use because i became obsessed with cowboy books. alfie enoch, he's in so many things and the lack of resources that isn't from how to get away with murder is insane.. kazuha from le sserafim, minnie from gidle and god, huh yunjin with her new ginger hair cause they're favorites of mine right now. my favourite thing about writing on tumblr/roleplaying has always been the collaborative aspect of it cause i work constantly with screen writing and while it's amazing to use my creativity i feel that roleplaying truly gives me an opportunity to develop ideas and characters more thoroughly whether it's through plotting or just writing with others. i always feel like my most developed muses are the ones that i created and used through group verses / group rps cause the “forced” interactions with other characters always helps me get to know them more and think about different paths of thoughts and quirks they could have as well as add more to their backstory so it’s always the most fun. i'm always a big big big sucker for group verses settings because of this. i'm almost done.. i promise, i'm rambling too much in these and i promise i'll try to stop KSAJDL but as for movies, i'm very much a horror girlie. my all time favorite (and comfort movie tbh) is scream. but some of my other favorites are the shining (1980) and psycho (1960). i've always been obsessed with the horror genre, mostly cause my cousins would make me watch horror movies when we were younger and spent every summer break together.. chucky is one of my favorite movie characters of all times, i just love him and the movies are some of my favorites as well. i'm a stephen king girlie through and through, even if the most recent it movies aren't the best thing ever i still love the characters so much.. and honestly one of my favorite films ever made is stand by me (1986), i literally cry every single time i watch it cause the whole friendship / growing up and growing apart situation is so beautifully done. the i never had friends like i did when i was 12 quote truly is my roman empire i think about it twice a day.

On the rage form post, soras final triangle command attack also summons little red balls that shoot spikey darkness like the dark sides in the realm of darkness do in 0.2 and like, having similar animations over multiple games may be coincidence, but in the same game? With how important rage form is in the final battle and with how prevalent AnsemSoD is as a character and plot device, its 100% done on purpose. I really want soras dark forms to be explored narratively. Or at least for them to be acknowledged in the games by someone. Goofy, your son just tore a thousand heartless apart with his bare hands, talk to the boy about his feelings, these probably aren't even the gay ones.

yeah like- we can make all the observations and inferences we want and we can notice all of the little things put in place right. and that’s great !!! having things told directly can be pretty lame and it’s always fun picking up the pieces to make the full puzzle. the issue is that despite all of this gameplay material involving anti sora, it’s rare there’s any form of narrative acknowledgement of it. the closest we got was in coded where data sora has to fight a heartless sora (though that’s probably a whole discussion itself, it’s a really interesting fight and scene, not to mention that sora’s behavior in comparison to other heartless).

i hope that with all of the gameplay nuggets and the coded fight we’ll get some form of exploration on anti form soon. there’s just a lot of questions unanswered with it being dangled in our faces like this (though i can’t say i’m too optimistic we’ll ever get a resolution on exactly what it is, where it comes from, and how it affects sora).

are you talking about the shadow sora fights in neverland? that was a shadow created by riku (i’m pretty sure?? after all a few cutscenes before the fight we see that maleficent gives riku the ability to control heartless.): it didn’t have anything particular to do with sora pardon having his appearance. when sora actually turns into a ‘proper’ heartless he’s a regular shadow, a far cry from what anti/rage sora would be later on

when it comes to sora’s anti/rage forms changing, i want to say it’s indicative of his control over darkness: everyone has darkness in them, it’s just a matter of harnessing it, controlling it, or letting it control you. a repeating moto said throughout KH is that there needs to be both light and dark for there to be harmony: darkness isn’t inherently bad, just as light isn’t inherently good. it’s how it’s handled is the key. 

by the end of KH2, sora makes a small comment about how the darkness might have started to get to him when he was stranded with riku. i think rage form being a more controlled version of the antiform- in that you can manually activate it opposed to it springing up because of an invisible counter most people have no control over- is actually a sign of good things for sora. he acknowledges he has darkness in him but instead of being scared to death of it, he accepts it as a part of him; if the darkness in sora is growing, that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll fall to it- though we can only assume what will happen to him and his relationship to his darkness in later games. riku went through a similar process, though he accepts darkness out of anger and jealousy, leading him to be afraid of it and circle back to embracing it more healthily. sora might be going a similar path, just not exact of course.

regardless, gameplay mechanics can only go so far if they’re never addressed in the actual story...

i wouldn’t say that sora’s ‘generally alone’. he says himself that as long as the people who’ve met and befriended him think of him once in a while, he’ll never truly be alone nor powerless; sora’s greatest strength and equally his greatest weakness is his relationships and the bonds he makes throughout the games. even then, sora wanted roxas to leave his heart- he WANTED roxas to have autonomy and be his own person. that’s not to mention i find it hard to digest that sora would be too bittersweet about seeing ven and xion reunite with their best friends if it meant they were no longer in his heart. 

furthermore, he’s actually pretty positive and hopeful in KH3: he’s stalwart in getting roxas a body, he’s set on helping every disney character he meets (even if they don’t want his help which is a weird move imo on his part but that’s a different post), and he doesn’t let the xehanorts- especially the dark riku replica- deter him or distract him for too long. that’s not to deny he does experience melancholy at times, but that’s nothing new in KH for him. even more, he’s even pretty relaxed about having to commit multiple Nature Taboos and sacrifice his chances of seeing his friends again all to save kairi. if anything, sora’s probably the most headstrong in KH3.

compared to KH2 where while we were shown he was a relatively happy kid and was able to keep others’s spirits up, he still harbored sorrow and doubt- anxiety about what they were doing and their place in the universe. honestly i feel like KH2 was one of sora’s lowest points in the series, and even then he’s able to shoulder others’ hurt just long enough to keep everyone going

KH certainly handles its cast’s emotions and personality weirdly: riku’s become quieter yet more mature while sora seems to be a more bubblier person the more the series goes on (Again, another post about exploring their characters but honestly that’s more of an essay in concept). i don’t think sora will spiral into villainy, but i do wish they would explore his emotions more thoroughly. that want’s pretty heightened for me when donald points out in a scene that sora talked like data sora. WE know what he means because of coded, but i wish we got to see sora himself go through an emotional and thoughtful journey like that

2) (cos i'm not watching any more Shitshow eps (not seen any S8/9 & barely remember S6/7 anyway despite it not being that long ago I mistakenly watched it - a blessing I guess lol how is it still going! God!) & I have many conflicting feelings about it tbh. The initial overriding feeling was "I'm mad about it" even though I wasn't surprised. Sighs. I still am really cos even though I admit that I did want "end game" for Mickey & Ian (cos i'm weak), I didn't want it like this!! Look what they've3. done to those KIDS! Just dumping them both in prison (ffs) in a patch job, lazily tagged on ending & then playing Frank Ocean (trying to win points & maybe it worked cos I've listened to that song more than once since gdi) over it cos we are meant to view it as so romantic!? I just..?!? I mean you gotta laugh really.. I suppose it is very "Shameless". Honestly I don't think I've known a show to so unapologetically give so little care to its own characters (let alone fans). urgh.4. (aka arrogant, lazy & petty? hmm). Tbf they had written themselves into a corner where this was the only ending they could give, other than have Ian run away to mexico, which yeah why didn't they do that? But, and here's the other side of my thought process about it all, at least this way they'll both be free after they serve their time, genuinely free not fugitives. So my rationalising about it all is basically that they serve relatively short sentences (Mickey negotiated a good deal ok lol!5. also at least he was given some agency back here in a way - yes I know I'm reaching), during which they will have time to hash everything out (aka Ian has a shit tonne of explaining, grovelling & making up to do imo) & then they are free to live out their lives & have a real chance at being together away from all the BS that's been thrown their way. That's my story anyway (they better not do or say anything to contradict this in canon now I stg). That's how I choose to view it as this way6.I can be relatively happy they ended up together & it allows me to look back their journey story without bitterness taking over cos Mickey Milkovich & the journey he and Ian (rip puppy Ian from the early days - he was cute) went on (before tptb fucked it up) deserves to be looked back on fondly. So that's the story of my journey to acceptance I guess lol. Plus there are no longer at the shows mercy to screw over! Also if you ignore everything else it was good to see mickey again, swooping in7. To save the day being his cocky self, for all of 30 secs, for some sort of closure (the article you reblogged was spot on). In that short scene cam & noel's chemistry was undeniable (easily the best thing to come out of that show - tptb know it too. Bet they hate it that's why they ended it like this #petty but fan service still or maybe they thinks it's actually good who tf knows). But it wouldn't have been the same ending Ian's journey without mickey (they really screwed Ian's charachter8. Over after mickey left didn't they - cant blame cam for leaving. Maybe he should have left after s7. We coulda had them driving across the border as their ending then). I defo think all parties involved did it to shut down the relentless demand. Everyone (cam, Noel, the fabs) can be free now. So I'll take this version of endgame but I won't thank tptb for it! to be fair i definitely warned you before you started watching but nobody ever listens because you see their early stuff and like i said magic. they draw you in and you just can’t help yourself. i really don’t want to say a whole lot about everything that angered me and i totally understand why people are burying their heads in the sand and saying ‘end game’ and ‘happy ending’ but like life didn’t just stop? they have to actually live their lives in prison and for people with their histories, their backgrounds, and their mental issues to contend with, if we’re being realistic this is probably like the worst ending? because what happens when mickey’s smart mouth and short fuse get him in trouble? or ian doesn’t get his meds and goes manic? nothing good. also tptb couldn’t help themselves form doing mickey dirty again could they? also for me a good parallel isn’t mickey risks everything to break out with almost the exclusive purpose of being with ian again and now he has to risk it all again, this includes his life to get back into prison to be with ian? where is ian’s sacrifice in any of this? a couple seasons ago i would have felt that overwhelming love from ian but after listening to him badmouth mickey for so long and turn him away again and again it didn’t feel like enough. if i’m being honest i feel like cam wanted out a long time ago and he’s been phoning in his performances. his guest appearances and work outside shameless were far superior for quite a while now. his best scenes on shameless in the last idk three or four years have all been with noel. i don’t think he liked where they took his character after mickey left and i don’t think he liked how they treated mickey’s character. he and noel seemed quite close and they cared a lot about the story they were telling. and stepping outside of just what they did with bringing mickey in for the ending i wanted to vomit when they had ian go to fucking terry milkovich of all people to ask for advice about prison. like how gross can they be? so i guess i got carried away as well but yeah i’m angry and i’m never not going to be angry. just waiting for when they bring them both back magically out of prison for the finale. or just cam and say some shit about mickey staying longer because he got more time. i wouldn’t put anything past them at this point.
