Ayoooooo! How about Ranpo, Dazai, Poe, and Chuuya x reader hcs (separately) going into a haunted house maze during Halloween (I know it’s spring but I miss the spooky month already😩)

A/N: So this is like a few months late, but its currently the end of June and its so hot where I’m at, so its seems like an appropriate time to publish this lolol. I had a bit of trouble writing this bc I barely go to haunted houses(bc im too scared to) and the last time I did, I kept on pushing my sister against the displays and walls. Luckily she didn’t get hurt but I had to buy her candy as pay back. But i really love halloween(and october in general) and I really miss the rain and cooler weather, so it wasn’t that much of an hassle :)

Characters: Ranpo(bsd), Dazai(bsd), Chuuya(bsd) and Poe(bsd)

!Warning! mentions of blood and Dazai being Dazai

▪ Probably the worst person to go to a haunted house with tbh

▪ If you took him not to get scared, you're in luck because Ranpo will point everyone and everything coming your way.

▪ However, if you want to get scared then you're out of luck. That's not happening.

▪ Ranpo doesn’t get scared of easily and going to a haunted house, which he claims is too predictable, Ranpo is bound to get bored.

▪ So make sure you bring enough money with you because Ranpo is going to be dragging you to the nearest food stand and making you pay for everything.

▪ Equivalent exchange is his reasonings, but you both know he purposely left his wallet at home just to be an menace.

▪ But overall not a really bad time.

▪ Honestly this was all probably Dazai’s idea in the first place.

▪ Dazai isn’t one to get scared over such things like ghosts or monsters, however he does enjoy the fear that radiates off of the other people there.

▪ If you get scared, he’ll be your knight in shining armor.

▪ Dazai will hold your hand tightly and reassure you that he’ll protect you.

▪ It's a really sweet moment, until you’re suddenly missing the warmth radiating off him, only turn around and see Dazai, with the most childlike look, with his head in a guillotine asking you to pull the lever

▪ After that things get progressively more chaotic.

▪ He’ll hide from the employees and scare them instead.

▪ He’s taking things from the displays and putting them in different spots

▪ He eventually hacks into the sound system and plays the tackiest songs he can find.

▪ In the end, you both get kicked out. Giggling like little school girls and instantly going to another haunted house maze to do the same thing again

▪ By the end of October, they have your faces plastered in every haunted house maze saying ‘Do Not Provide Entry’.

▪ Chuuya sees it as a way to show his manliness to you!

▪ He definitely not scared by the fact it's a ‘haunted house’ but more so the fact that he doesn’t want to run into Dazai (that's the scariest outcome in his mind)

▪ Other than that, he prides himself on being the person that you cling to when you get scared.

▪ Protective Chuuya is released!

▪ Chuuya will wrap his arm around your waist and pull you into his chest. He debates on whether to tease you about it or not, but decides to comfort you first then tease you after you both get out. (ofc this happens if your get scared in the first place)

▪ If you happen not to get scared easily then get prepared for your lungs to burst.

▪ You and Chuuya take this as an opportunity to make fun of all the tacky decor and bad costumes. Chuuya takes it upon himself to critique the bloody scenes and gives his scarily accurate description of a blood bath to the poor dress-up employee.

▪ He’ll have his arm slung around your shoulders and you both walk through the building like you're both going for an evening stroll. The poor people that run the place are really disturbed about your guys' nonchalance towards the whole thing.

▪ You both go back every year just to disturb the poor employees

▪ Surprisingly Poe actually really likes haunted houses. It speaks to his gothic self.

▪ He’s most likely to act like an actual normal person out of the four. He’ll get a little spook but other then that he’s not hacking into the sound system or giving scarily accurate descriptions of a murder.

▪ However that does not stop him from reciting poetry or stopping you in the middle of the hallway just so he can write down ideas for his next mystery novel.

▪ If you get scared easily, he’ll try his best to comfort you but he’s honestly kinda awkward at comforting others so it's definitely not the best.

▪ Karl though will be your very own comfort animal. He’ll cuddle around your neck and nuzzle into your cheek to calm you down. He’s honestly the best at comforting you in general.

▪ Poe will be so happy to see you both get along that he won’t notice the person coming in behind him and he lets out the loudest girlish screams you’ve ever heard.

▪ You all leave immediately after because Poe simply can’t handle the embarrassment.

Jace wasn’t exactly having a good day. He missed his therapist meeting, then feel asleep in his AA meeting and dropped half his food while getting his groceries in.Batting a 1,000 for sure. He kept telling himself he should cancel his date with Charlotte but he canceled the last two time because he just couldn’t get himself out of bed. He wasn’t exactly doing to well in the “I’ll do better.” department but he was honestly trying.

His thumb hovered over her name in his phone as he thought it over and soon just tossed it on his bed and started to get dressed. After a quick shower he got dressed in dark skinny jeans, a v-neck t-shirt and a dark blazer.

actual trash10/04/2020 charlotte sat on the white fluffy chair in her master bedroom, she wanted to make sure that she looked cute. it was always a big deal to her that she was going out with jace, it always made her so happy be around him and see how well he was doing. the sight of him alone always made her heart beat faster. she will never forget when it happened in aspen when she was pregnant with caden, she just started catching all these feelings. it was now fall but i was still hot so she went with a light blue dress that went perfectly with the makeup she had on. all she needed was her lip gloss. she reached for her iphone and sent a text to jace. "i miss your face, i cannot wait to see you! see you in ten! xx" before plugging it back in. she was so thankful for the kids regular nanny to come in and help her while she was gone. the blonde kissed all the kiddos goodbye and goodnight before she headed out. it wasn't easy to get out of the house sometimes but she did it. once the woman reached his flat, the woman got up to the front door and knocked on the wooden door.

Reading the message he sighed. He really didn’t deserve her. At all. Jace was the worst to her for most of their relationship but she was still here. And for both their sake’s he wished she moved on while he was gone but she didn’t. Charlotte stayed to his surprise. Her undying dedication to him just made him hate himself more. The knock at the door snapped him back to reality. He grabbed his wallet and keys and headed to the door. Opening it up with a small smile. “Hey, love.”

actual trash10/04/2020 during her time alone when jace was gone away for awhile, she actually didn't focus on moving on from him. her mind was either with the kids, work or she was thinking about how he was actually doing. charlotte had such a big heart, she was the type of person to go shopping for jace if he was missing something at the house. or if anyone needed something for their house, she was on her feet and ready to make a quick trip. smiling when the door opened, "hi handsome," she greeted him. It’s okay.” Jace smiled softly as they strolled down the street. “I’m pretty sure Darla was over it when she was four, but I wasn’t gonna let her give it up just yet. She might go just to be with her little brothers and sisters. She’s loves them so I think she’s dress up for them. Or just wear one of her dance outfits”

actual trash10/05/2020 “it’ll be nice to have you there but you can’t then i can take all the pictures for you,” she reassured him, looking over at him while she spoke. charlotte knew it was hard being away from the kids for so long and she knew how much they missed him. the woman let out a laugh, nodding her head at his comment. “oh yeah, i remember when she was little back in the day. hm, i don’t know if she would want to be a lamb, pirate or a dinosaur but maybe we can come up with some scary for her like a zombie dancer.” she suggested out with a small laugh. her blue eyes scanned over looking at the houses that were decorated. “i gotta start decorating the house soon and as well as you,” she teased him.

He smiled at her ideas for Darla knowing she would probably love it. The child like her scary movies since she was two. Weird, weird child. “Yeah or maybe I’m just gonna not. Just put out a bowl of candy for the kids to take and then sit in my room. Try write or something.”

actual trash10/05/2020 “if you say so, i’ll just send you pictures of me,” she lightly teased him, bumping his shoulder. she couldn’t imagine the pain he was going through not being able to see the kids when he wanted and how distant they were now. it was truly heartbreaking but charlotte always made sure to talk about him, play his music around the house so that even though he wasn’t there, he was there. “hm, i feel like darla might just steal the bowl of candy,” she giggled lightly. “halloween is so fun, i love the dressing up. what’s your favorite halloween memory?” she asked him, leaning her head on his shoulder as they walked. ashyytinns10/06/2020 “Yeah? And what are you gonna be?” He teased lightly. Jace spent a lot of time alone and he wasn’t sure if that was a good or a bad thing. He made it this far but at what cost? “Oh no. No no. She tired that once and she got in so much trouble that year. We went straight home and I made her give out the candy we go. So she knows better then to ever take more then she’s allowed.” He said before thinking to himself. “Before Mum died we all get together and dress up. Just her and her kids. None of my step dad’s or anything. Just us....I miss that but with her and now Frizzy gone it’s not the same, but it’s one of my favorite things still.”

actual trash10/06/2020 "well, i am going as a playboy bunny with a skirt when i'm with the kids but then later the skirt comes off," charlotte giggled lightly looking up at him with a small wink. she let out another giggle as she listened to jace talked about that one year with darla taking the whole bowl of candy. "oh my goodness, only darla, i swear she kills me. you did the right thing, you've always been a good daddy," hummed out the woman while they kept walking. the blonde listened while he spoke about his mother and his younger sister, she could remember when his sister passed. she smiled softly at his memory. "well maybe one day, we can do that and keep it going with our babies." she told him, giving him a small squeeze on his arm.

ashyytinns10/06/2020 “Skirt comes off for your boyfriend? I’m sure he’ll love it.” He said. To be fair....he didn’t know what they were anymore. There was a small part of him hoping that she would tell him she was with someone else. Maybe then the guilt would start to leave him but he was afraid what would take it’s place. Probably more self loathing.

When he started to think that he hear his therapies voice ringing in his head and his eyes moved back to her. ‘Look at all the good around you now and not the bad in the past.’ Charlotte was his only good he could ever see. Then and now. “I’ve been an okay dad. Let’s be fair here okay? I’ve missed out on a good part of 3 of my kids lives. And don’t tell me it’s because I was in rehab, if I was a good dad I wouldn’t have been there in the first place.” He said letting his eyes fall to the road a head of them.

actual trash10/06/2020 the blonde let out a small chuckle, shaking her loose curls lightly. "jace, if i had a boyfriend then i wouldn't be out here with you and i wouldn't be telling you that i'm going to send you selfies on halloween," she told him. truth be told, charlotte didn't look to move on while jace was in rehab, she had a lot on her plate with her career and the kids. she had to adjust to not having three babies but also having five mouths under her roof at once. "besides that, i can't see myself with anyone else to be truthful with you." plus she didn't want anyone else, they had so much between them and she stood by him. after what he told her in las vegas, she wanted that too. "yeah you have missed out on a lot but you went away because you came to terms with having an addiction and that within itself is brave, you went away to better yourself so you can be there for the kids but i understand what you're saying, babe," she told him, looking up at him. she didnt want to fight with him on this, they had their moments of not seeing eye to eye but whats who they were. charlotte always say the light in bad things and always try to make things better.

ashyytinns10/06/2020 It hurt him how much she loved him after everything. “You can’t make this easy for me, Charlotte.” He said stopping at the counter as the hit the town. “I can’t have you just hand everything back to me like nothing happened. I missed out on there lives because I thought getting high was more important then whatever the fuck the kids wanted or needed. I knew I was an addict and was actually okay with it for sometime...so please don’t make it sound like so noble thing......because I would have kept going till it killed me without a second thought about you or the kids.” Saying how twisted his mind was out loud made him hate himself more. It also made him see how far he had come. “I don’t deserve your praise...not yet at least.....not until I can say it to myself and believe it.”

actual trash10/06/2020 the woman turned to face him as he spoke to her, he was right, she couldn't just pretend like everything was okay back then but the past is what lead to them being like this now. both of their actions affected the relationship. charlotte with her on-going everything will be okay, i love you, the kissing in her old bedroom, pushing things,the turning a blind eye to things. she nodded her head at him, she really did understand where he was coming from. "okay, i understand," she replied back to him. this is why she suggested this, dating so that they could get to know each other, work through it and prove that staying and standing beside him was worth it. "a lot of things like i kept a couple of your shirts and hoodies," she pressed her lips together then released them with a pop from her glossy lips. "but mostly me being so pushy back then towards you and our relationship. i kept pushing it that one day and i kissed you after giving you the medal, you gave in and i feel like i also caused it," she looked down at her feet. that always ate her up inside while jace was away in rehab. "i pressured you into this," the woman pointed between them.

I wasn’t in a good place and I had no intentions on changing but.....” he let out a sigh. “I’ve been in love with you the moment I laid eyes on you....but at the time your heart was somewhere else so I just hid everything. Life moved on, my demons took over and by the time you finally looked my was I knew I wasn’t the person for you....he was eaten away and I’m not sure if he’ll ever come back but....” Jace looked over at her before glance down at his hands. “My mum was my best friend, I was never afraid to talk to her about anything. I told her all those years ago how I felt about you and she told me that you were the one for me, but I wasn’t the one for you yet. Then when she got sick you came up again....she said she proud to have you as her future daughter in law.” He chuckled at the memory. “We both knew then that she wasn’t ever gonna see any or us get married....but.....everytime I fought you I hear her voice, but I pushed it away because I still had my demons. That day, when I gave in, I heard her voice tell me to let you save me.” He shook his head. “I was beyond saving at that point but i listened...”

actual trash10/06/2020 hearing jace tell her that he's been in love with her all these years was completely new news to hear, she had no idea. her blue eyes looked up at him while he spoke to her. charlotte could easily remember meeting jace all those years ago, she actually liked him first but she was swept off her feet by his former band mate and they started their whirl wind of a romance that came crash down at her feet five years ago. "it's insane to think that if i just told you nine years ago that i liked you first and if i didn't get spun up in the devil's words," she lightly chuckle. "how different our lived would have been?" she hummed out. charlotte reached over and took his hands in her soft ones, smiling gently at him. "your mother is a wonderful woman, i'm so proud that our daughter is named after her, our biggest supporter," she hummed lightly, the tears forming in her blue orbs. "jace, i know you don't want me to allow you to come back to easily but i just want you to know that i love you so much and one day, i cannot wait to be your wife." she lifted his hand and placed it on her cheek before giving it a small kiss. Not how it was but how it should be.” He said letting her speak to the waitress and waited for them to be alone again. “You could have something if you wanted to...sooner or later I have to get use to being round it.”

It hurt talking about the kids but he was happy that they were doing okay and he was trying not to get hard on himself about not being around but it was hard. “You know I always said I’d never be my father. I’m not him....but I’m like him more then I’d like to be. I don’t know the girls. I know I can’t tell them apart and that’s horrible.” He said. “But....I’m better then him. Because I’m actually trying...” he looked over at her and smiled softly at her. “Anyway I saw Darla’s music videos. She’s got my talent in every way and I don’t know how I feel about that.”

actual trash11/02/2020 charlotte knew that talking about the kids upset jace but it slipped from her lips, it was too late to let it go now. she had so many stories that she wanted to share with him, she had videos, pictures, and everything that she wanted him to know. the blonde reached over and took his larger hands in her smaller ones. "my love, when time comes you're going to know every single little thing, it's one step at a time and we'll get there together as a family. you are completely way better in every way possible," she told him truthfully. "all i can see was your face when we went to the shoot. it reminded me of watching you back in the day to be honest with you. she is all you jace," she hummed out.
