pros:

this story was so fucking down my alley, bro. minimal drama and pure character development & analysis for 21 episodes? sign me the fuck up!!! the themes were so beautiful, about forgiveness & growth, chosen family & kindness always winning... I ATE THAT SHIT UPPP!!! such a heartwarming & honestly important lakorn for choosing depth above drama.

this is the least toxic lakorn couple I've ever seen, apart from maybe the one in to me, it's simply you which I also loved! they just truly love & respect each other and were written incredibly well. even though they're vanilla af, I didn't get bored at all?? LOVE THEM!

bruh, the characters!!! truly the first time in a lakorn where I truly love not only the main characters, but the entire cast. pennueng is so fucking soft, mata is legit the queen of my heart, trichat owns me entirely and is one of the most complex & interesting ever in my eyes, pang was also super complex & badass, and matalada's entire family????? are my family now. I absolutely adored them, and it was by far one of the best queer representation in lakorns!

the chemistry was beyond incredible! the main ship is perfect & truly feel like soulmates, and the side ship was SO HOT & iconic together, I was stanning! two different vibes but they both ATE!

the acting was PERFECT! everyone did an amazing role, james jirayu perfect in the role of the sad & stilted doctor, toey jarinporn impressed me so much for the first role I've seen her in, she was perfect for mata & absolutely made this role hers, the pang actress was great, I loved seeing the dad actor in a queer role, he honestly ate, the aunt vee actress ATE, especially considering it's her first role ever, the grandma??? fucked me up, I cried so much in her scenes lol. but the one who impressed me the most is ryu wachirawich. I only knew him from 9x9, but BITCHHHHH. he absolutely BODIED trichat & made him his in a way that has made me an immediate stan even though it usually takes me 2 to 3 roles to stan someone! he was so good & I'm looking forward to his next roles!

cons:

I was so confused by trichat ending up with riri. while I liked them together & they had been built up to have some tension since their first meeting... obviously trichat & pang should've ended up together??? in fact, I was certain they did??? didn't they mend things together & go on a double date with the main couple??? that whole thing was so confusing bc tri & pang had been far more developed and also built up to be soulmates like the main ship, so I was so disappointed by this choice of ending. ESPECIALLY since riri is canonically queer & used to like mata, so I wish we'd have seen her end up with a girlfriend, which would've added to the representation of the show.

similarly, I think the whole tri x pang storyline was made overly complicated for no reason. what was actually my favorite ship of the two quickly became a bit slow & repetitive after a while, and I believe they could've conveyed the same type of story better.

I wish we'd have seen at least one queer character get a love interest. this lakorn focuses more on the 'identity' aspect of queerness rather than the 'sexuality' aspect, which I found very interesting & worth exploring, but considering half of the characters are queer & they're basically the only ones ending up single feels kinda weird. just something they could've improved.

would I rewatch it: yes!

It was honestly such a joy to watch a lakorn where the couple is not toxic, people's decisions make sense most of the time & that actually created realistic and beautiful characters, not caricatures. I loved every moment of it! I cried, I laughed, I screamed... definitely one of the best lakorns out there & truly such a gem to watch!

Pairing: James Jirayu X She (mentioned of Mario Maurer)

Genre: Fluff

         The weather at the university, the place where she worked, seemed perfectly just fine today. The sky was perfectly blue and the weather was windy. Although the late submission of assignments from her students made her frustrated, one look at the sky made her completely forgot about her frustration. She was an English lecturer, teaching at some university with international programs of exchanged students in Thailand. It was the end of working hours at the moment but she decided to stay a little bit more as she got some work to be done.

Her phone vibrated, notifying a notification.

‘Are you going back home?’ stated the message, from him.

‘Nah, I think Imma go to Marios.’ replied her.

Mario’s house was nearer to her university than her house so she decided to drop by and finished her work since it had been a while since she last saw Mario.

       Him, or known as Jirayu was someone special to her. And she was someone special to him too, at least that what she thought and so did other people. She could not tell what exactly her relationship with him was, as he never asked her to date before, but the way they were was exactly what a couple would be doing. She loved him, and he loved her too. He had uttered the three words before to her, although she just remained silent, but that did not mean she was not in love with the man. But their status? Let just said that they were dating. They had known each other for 2 years already. Thanks to Mario Maurer, a man who was like a brother to her, she got to know James.

     James Jirayu was a famous actor in Thailand and internationally too. Their relationship was not public but was known by others. He stated that he had someone special in his life but when the public asked about the identity of his someone special, there was no answer. The only people who knew about this were those who were closed with him and her.

     She decided to drive to Mario’s house to finish her work because she knew, once she had arrived at her house, she would definitely procrastinate. Besides, it had been a long time since she last saw her brother from different parents as he was so busy with his work lately. A journey from the university to his house was not that far, it was quite pleasurable, at least to her. There was so much going on in her mind lately, but she could not point out what was in her mind one by one. All she knew was: there was just much. It could be because the final exam was approaching, so she was kind of worried about her students, being a good teacher she was.

She had finally arrived at Mario’s house and decided to give a knock on the door after pressing the bell. Mario then opened the door, “Hey there,” while smiling widely, being an idiot he was.

“Woah! You cooked?” asked her, surprised.

“Yeah, for you. Come on, let’s eat before doing your work,” said him while gesturing her to sit.

        The sun had completely set, which meant that the night had fallen. However, she was still on her laptop, sitting on the chair, in the living room of Mario’s house. The light was suddenly off and it surprised the shit out of her. Why was there a sudden blackout when there was no storm and rain at all? She was not scared of darkness; she loved to be in dark actually, so she decided to just shrug it off since she could work even in that situation as her laptop was as bright as the sun.

While she was engrossed in doing her work, a sound of guitar string could be heard. She was taken aback and turned her back to find the source of the sound. It was still dark when finally a man popped out with a guitar. He then made his way, now standing in front of her while she was still sitting on the chair. The man whos named was James Jirayu then started to strum the guitar, playing some sound.

“What are you doing?” asked her with both eyebrows up, though he could not really see it.

He just smiled and ignored her. He then said something before starting to sing, “This song is for you, from a guy who is not romantic.”

‘What’s with him?’ thought her.

One thing that will never change,

that is my heart for you.

You are the only one whom I would like to meet in every incarnation.

You are my only true love who consistently stays in my heart.

No matter how long it is,

I still love you.

Even if the world stops moving, my love will still be the same.

 After finishing the song, he then got right down on his bended knee while pulling a black box from his right pocket.

“I am sorry; I am not romantic and am random. You know I am not good with words right so let just skip that part and… Will you marry me?” said him while looking straightly in her eyes.

She looked at him with her eyebrows up, and smiled at him with her eyes welled up as she was holding back her tears.

“Are you crying? Is that a yes? Hey say something!”

She then took the ring from his hand and put it on her finger. “Come here you idiot!” said her while crying.

“What, what? Are you going to hit me? Stop crying, you’re ugly.” teased him while pretending to protect his body.

She smiled and showed him the ring on her finger. He looked at it and at her while smiling with his teary eyes.
