Fanfic #5: Team JNPR/ORNJ Bonding Chapter 1: Humble Beginnings (RWBY)

It's been a few days since the gang arrived at Atlas. And let's just say that their arrival was anything but welcoming. From Ironwood yelling at each of the kids (Qrow included) for going as far as stealing an Atlas' military airship and nearly caused destruction on a nearby town after settling a dispute (and as by dispute I mean having a Airship vs. Mecha Battle) with General Cordovin. To being shameful frown upon by everyone in Altas for their actions as they walked their way to a nearby apartment for a temporary stay. Safe to say that no one (expected for maybe Maria) was proud of what they did the other day (especially Jaune since this was actually his plan from the get go). On the bright side, Ironwood was surprisingly generous to the gang by not placing them in cells and that were able to retrieve the Relic back to the general's hand. So it's sort of a mission accomplished. But even that felt like a Halo victory if anything.

But regardless of all of that happened after that however, Oscar was kind of glad that the day was over. Mostly because he was finally getting the rest he somewhat needed.

The next morning arrives, and almost everyone was already off doing their own sperated adventures... Kind of. Ruby joined Weiss to go find her sister, Blake and Yang decides to take a long stroll around Atlas alone together, and Qrow....well he basically went off doing his own thing as usual. Only this time, Maria decides to follow him just in case the Grim Reaper gets into more trouble.

Team JNR, on the other hand, decided to stay in the apartment not gonna only to watch over the place while they get back, but to also watch over their sweet, little farm boy, who is still sleeping on Jaune's side of the bed.

While he might had a rough couple of days after everything that happened so far during his time with the gang, at least everyone could take some R&R for a little while (Cause Oum knows they needed one.). And if it means that Oscar could sleep for maybe a day or two, it was okay with him.

That plan, however, was never seen the light a day, when a certain Hammer Queen decides to wake up her little buddy up from his slumber.

Nora: Goooooooood Morning, Sleepy Butt!!!~

Oscar- (Softy Wakes up) Oh, Nora...(yawns softly) Good Morning.

Nora: (Squealing on the inside) How is our favorite little Farm Boy's doing today.

Oscar: Pretty Good. So much better than yesterday, that's for sure...

Nora: Yeah... yesterday wasn't the best for any of us....but enough about that tragedy, today's the day we could finally take a break from all the Huntsman's stuff.

Oscar: (Softy Chuckles) Ain't that's the true...where is everyone anyways?

Nora: Wellllllll....Ruby decides to follow Weiss to visit her sister, the Bumblebees went out on a little date together, and Qrow....not gonna lie, I'm not really sure where he went off to. But rest assured, Maria said she would go fine him and make sure she stays out of trouble!..... Probably....

Oscar: Huh. So I guess it's just me, you, Jaune, and Ren for the day, huh?

Nora: Pretty much, yeah. But fear not, my precious baby! (Gives Oscar a morning hug) I promise that the four of us will have the bestest day together!! I mean I haven't had a plan for us yet...BUT I'LL THINK OF SOMETHING!

Oscar: (Blushes slightly but hugs the Thunder Goddess back) Thanks, Nora. And don't worry about your plans, I'm sure you'll think of something fun for us to do.

Nora: (Bless his soul~) You're so welcome, Oscar sweetie!~ Now come on (picks up the farm boy and place him on her back for a piggyback right) I'm positive that Renny has finished cooking by now! Hang on tight now! And let's moooooove out!!!

Oscar: (Still Blushing but chuckles) Lead the way, Nora ma'am.

And so while Nora was taking the farm boy to see her two boys while giving him a piggyback ride, Oscar smiles softly at the thought of actually spending some time with the goofy, yet inspiring trio. While he's not entirely sure what kind of wacky adventures he'll get himself into, he still think that he would still have a great time today regardless.
