Yeah, well - they do twist the ACD canon a bit - which is fine - but I do think keeping Mary around would not work. She is a narrative device needed to tell the story of Sherlock and John. John belongs in 221b Bakerstreet. It's just...what it is. This seperation is needed to show that they miss each other. John is cranky after a MONTH. Sherlock is an emotional mess. Mary is being passive aggressive. Baby doesn't really get attention at all, except for being a bump. (I really feel like they don't want us to be overly attached to Mary & Baby Watson).

It's not that I don't like the storyline. It hurts me in all the right ways, bring it on. I'm sure it'll unfurl in a fantastic and extremely painful way and I can't wait to find out more about Mary. But I really don't expect it to be pretty.
