PART ONE (because this got too long)

Time to get down to some serious business.

Cupid Seyoon was on the move, ready to hand out matching candies to his fated couples. He walked around the entire Halloween party ground, pretending to be innocently admiring people's costumes while in reality, diligently observed and schemed.

If any of his ships end up sailing after tonight and people get laid, he shall consider it his contribution to humankind and expect karmic rewards.

The first person he pulled to his side was Taeha (@lgctaeha), just to let her know that it was time. As Cupid's assistant and fellow Legacy shipper, he intended to take her opinions into consideration (because let's be real, his alone should not be trusted). Of course, he also had a match for her. "Here," he said, passing her a strawberry candy. It was identical to the one he had handed off to Wenjun (@lgcwenjun) earlier because he thought they would make such a cute couple. "Your match is tall, gorgeous and incredibly sweet. He's one of the only two men I really trust here at Legacy." Only the best for dear Taeha. Seyoon considered this ship sunshine x sunshine, and thought about everlasting summers.

He went to Yoojoon (@lgcyoojoon) next, because his brother's wellbeing was always on his mind. He handed him a peach candy, which was the same kind he had given to Milan (@lgcmilan). "Your match is a real peach," he promised Yoojoon after explaining his little game tonight. Milan was a pretty Christian girl and probably wanted a vanilla good boy. Who would be a better fit than his step brother? Nobody. Seyoon gave this ship the name of holy union, because both of the people involved were angels, at least in his eyes.

"Kiwi for you!" He grabbed a wild Ollie (@lgcoliver) by the back of his shirt as the guy was running past and placed a bright green candy into his hand. Seyoon planned to hand the matching candy off to Jaekyung (@lgcjaekyung) because she was really fun and could probably match Ollie's energy.

Seyoon looked down at the next candy he'd pulled out of his basket. It was watermelon, which was the flavor he gave to Yujin (@yujinlgc). The idea of matching her hurt, because she was a goddess and his idol, so nobody really deserved her. A part of him wanted to take the candy back for his Yujin shrine, but the other less selfish part wanted to find her someone. While contemplating, he accidentally bumped into Akio (@lgcakio), and ended up dropping the candy into his pocket. It would be weird to reach into his fellow trainee's pocket now and get the candy back, so instead he accepted fate and gave Akio a sulky look. "You better treasure her," he told the guy. All things considered, this one was not a bad option - Akio was a good man as far as he knew, better than a lot of the others.

Minjun (@lgcmjun) was a difficult one, because Seyoon still couldn't look at him without feeling the guilt. He assigned the guy grapefruit flavored candy, because that was Asher's favorite and gave the matching one to Jisoo (@lgcjisoo). Maybe back then, he, Jisoo and Asher were never meant to be a trio. Sometimes he wished he could go back and change things. This was his attempt, he supposed.

Perhaps BK (@lgcbk) would be confused about getting paired up with Sori (@lgcsori) via the apple candy but he should trust Seyoon's judgement. Sori was a cutie, especially whenever she got a bit tipsy. There might be a party girl hiding inside and those rosy cheeks were incredibly charming, which he highly doubted any man could resist.

Who on the earth should he pair up with Yuxi (@lgcyuxi)? She was real spicy with guys, but Seyoon had seen her interacting better with the ladies. Since Yuxi was working with the cool older sister vibe, he figured he'd find her someone with a little sister look. Maybe Amelia (@lgcamelia) would be a good choice! They can enjoy their raspberry candies together.

The coffee shop at the end of the block, at the table furthest in the back. Twice now, Sujin had walked in to empty chairs but today, finally, one of them was occupied.

Thank god.

"Normally, people only get one chance." He sat down across the guy, who didn't seem like the delinquent he was on paper. Looks could be deceiving, Sujin supposed. "The only reason you got three is because I owe you sister a favor." He dropped his messenger bag at his feet and pulled out a binder. "Is studying really that difficult? How long do you want to keep disappointing your only family, Lee Jaeyeon? Are you really going to be a good for nothing and live off your sister's hard work for the rest of your life like a parasite- " He abruptly stopped.

"You are...not Lee Jaeyeon, are you?"

Fuck.

"I am sorry," he said that first before leaning back in his hair, raking a hand through his bangs with sheer frustration. Lee fucking Jaeyeon had ditched once again, didn't he? This was just some poor dude who happened to sit at the wrong table at the exact time they were supposed to meet. "I would explain but it's a long story." Sujin took a deep breath, feeling horrible for raising his voice against an innocent kid. "Can I..." He looked at the display cases where the barista was putting out fresh batches of macarons. "...Buy you a macaron?" Sujin finished lamely. "Their pistachio flavored ones are good." But of course there was another option. "Or I could just go away. Sorry again."

ducks got fast legs

safe to say, all this team unknown stuff was draining cherry. cherry was aware that compared to her trainee time, she pretty much sucked, with the speed she was learning in, she surely wasn’t becoming any idol before at least age fifty. cherry isn’t sure what happened. prior to auditioning for legacy, she’d worked hard by herself to grow in rapping, she’d quickly learned and she got accepted, but ever since then, she’s been learning slowly. she’s not sure what does it, if it’s because she’s a student besides being a trainee, if she’s lazy, not hardworking, she just can’t quite figure out why she’s learning so slowly.

all this intensive training is needed for cherry, she’s aware of that, but that doesn’t mean she’s enjoying these even more difficult than usual dance classes, cherry is surprised she hasn’t broken any foot yet. when practice is finished, cherry decides on that she needs fresh air, and though she usually isn’t a fan of walking by herself, right now she doesn’t care she’s alone. she reaches a park, with a little pond in it, the blonde walks over to it, watches as the water slightly moves due to the wind.

she’s not alone though, a few ducks are in the pond, cherry watches them, as she notices one swims her way, she takes a few steps back, and the duck leaves the pond, before she knows it, she’s running, getting chases by a duck.

Ever since their first unexpected meeting, Minjae and @lgcmjun had been talking. The two were practically twins and Minjae had wanted to get to know the other more considering they were so similar. That's why he had invited Minjun out to play billiards with him. What better way to get to know someone than by playing a game with them?

Billiards were something that Minjae enjoyed playing. There was a certain skill required to successfully pocket the balls and it was a very challenging game. It had been some time since he'd last played but he'd been resisting the desire to play for too long now.

❛ So, Minjun-ssi, are you sure you're ready to lose? ❜ Minjae asked as he stared at the other. He used his body language to challenge the other but of course it was just in a playful way. He smirked slightly as he waited for the other's answers.

the chaotic training days often kept minjun from reaching out to max, no matter how he tried to find some time, even the smallest amount of minutes, still proved to be a hard task. but if there was a time where he would pay no respect to his training routine was on that specific date - max’s birthday.

even when he was questioned about his roommates, minjun dismissed them all as he got a set of four cupcakes in a bigger box, along with a smaller one, with a silver necklace and a hourglass pendant inside. as usual, when he went to max’s dorm he was absent and although disappointing, minjun understood it.

leaving his delivery behind, along with a note, which he hopefully the older male would see when he got back from practice.

“my dearest maximus,not even in your birthday you allow yourself to take a break. i hope you have an amazing day today, i’ll always be here cheering for your debut and your success, you know how special you are to me. if i still remember, the cupcakes are your favorite ones, i hope you enjoy them. as for the gift, well i want you to remember time is all we have, it doesn’t matter how long things take, never take for granted the time you have in your hands, to change, to get better, to live, to take chances.happy birthday,minjun”

he returns after a long day, knowing that he probably should have celebrated his birthday more than just practice and get kidnapped for lunch but he figured he’d have enough reason to party after he actually managed to debut.

what he comes back to does catch him by surprise though. he picks up the note before anything else, finding a smile widening across his lips as he recognizes the handwriting almost immediately. max did feel bad for not having had much time to spend with minjun lately, so he can’t help the soft sigh that leaves his lips. 

quick to reach for his phone he writes a quick text to the other while taking a bite of one of the cupcakes which indeed turned out to be his favourite.

it's a little funny to say, but wenjun thinks a cruise is exactly what he'd needed. the fresh sea air and little trips to different countries. though undeniably, one of the best parts were the workshops that came with it. when he'd laid eyes on a workshop catered to cooking chinese cuisine, there was absolutely no way that he was going to miss that. not when he knew someone else might be a fan of the idea.

sure, he'd decided to go for the workshop because he liked cooking, but it would've been a lie to say that that was the only reason. truth be told, it was another excuse to spend more time with minjun. he'd be lying if he said he'd been a little lonely without seeing minjun as often as he did in his room. they were after all, dorm mates back in korea.

he takes a seat next to minjun, and immediately his face lights up, excited. he feels like he's a student, back in school, and minjun is his seat mate. "this is going to be fun," he smiles, turning to look at his friend, "especially since we're together!". his eyes scan the area, and he can already feel himself thinking up a bunch of different lunchboxes for minjun. "you need to tell me which cuisine you like the best after all this, okay? so i can cook it for you back at the dorms!"

IMPORTANT ( IC ) DETAILS ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS

whenever both the mentor and trainee(s) have free time in their schedules, they will meet up and have 2 hour workshops that will span across 2-3 months ( aka this term ), depending on the mentor’s schedule ( but most of the time these workshops are scheduled during SATURDAY and mentors are expected to schedule at least 6 workshop sessions ). these workshops can be categorized as one on one lessons ( so mentor + 1 trainee ) OR smaller group sessions ( mentor + 3-5 trainees ). smaller group sessions are used to let the mentor teach the theoretical and fundamentals of their workshop while one on one lessons are used to evaluate the trainee’s progress and see what needs to be worked on or focused in future lessons. all of these workshops will be done in one of the empty classrooms or practice rooms in the lgc building.

by the MIDPOINT of the workshop program, MENTORS will be having a meeting with JANG INSUNG ( for the male mentors ) or KWON SOYI ( for the female mentors / EUNHYE ) where they will be discussing each of the trainee’s performances at the beginning and present moment. in this meeting the mentors will be asked to be honest in their feedback because this feedback will aid the trainee coaches in deciding what the trainees need to work on ( individually and collectively ) and whether they are ready to debut in their desired path ( idol/actor/model ). by the end of this meeting, both the MENTORS and the COACHES will come to an agreement over a possible ‘final’ evaluation prompt that would determine whether the trainees have learned the skills and concepts assigned to them.

after this meeting, the MENTORS will announce to the TRAINEES about the final evaluation prompt and will be spending the remaining time preparing for that until the EVALUATION days ( scheduled sometime around MARCH ), when all of the MENTORS, JANG INSUNG, and KWON SOYI will watch every single performance and give their feedback and thoughts to the trainees.

seeing that this is the first time that we’ll be doing this, here are the final evaluations prompts ( either listed on the form OR decided based on the workshop’s description ):

COMMERCIAL ACTING FOR BEGINNERS: on the day of the evaluation, the trainee will be picking an object from jinseo’s “magic box” and each one has to act like they’re in a commercial for whichever item it is that they got from his box ( examples of items inside this box are: chicken, pizza, skincare, snacks, a bottle of pocari sweat, a bottle of elysium perfume, chips, the logo of a video game, a rubik’s cube, a bag of coffee beans, etc ).

YUSHIN’S R&T: RAP & THEORY: each trainee will be given a lyrics sheet prior to the evaluation day that they will have to memorize. the lyrics will be pertaining to songs that the trainee has never heard of ( these could either be lyrics or melodies created by the MENTOR or samples borrowed from the lgc creatives team, but ooc wise, the songs will have to be ones released before JANUARY 2022 ). on the day of the evaluation, trainees will listen to the first couple of seconds to the melodies of their respective song for the first time. then they’ll have to rap and/or sing their lyrics to the song.

ADAPTING TO VARIETY SHOWS: on the day of the evaluation, the trainee will pretend to be a part of weekly idol and asked to describe themselves in the most entertaining way possible ( a plus if you can get the mentors and/or coaches to laugh ). through the segment, they will introduce themselves and show off two talents not relating to singing/dancing/rapping within a 10 minute period.

HOW TO LEARN CHOREOGRAPHY EASILY AND NAIL IT: each trainee will be assigned a 1 minute song ( song can be determined by MENTOR and/or the TRAINEE mun and all must be different songs ) that they will have to create an original choreography to. on the day of the evaluation they must present the original choreography to the mentors and coaches.

( important note: whenever the evaluation prompt mentions “each trainee”, it’s in reference to the trainee that is taking that workshop. )

once the evaluation is done, the trainee will meet up with their coach ( KWON SOYI or JANG INSUNG ) to discuss their honest thoughts about the workshop, what lessons they’ve learned from the experience, and if there are any new skills or aspects that they would like to work on in the near future. 

POINT REWARDS

as shown above, each of the workshops are given tier levels ( 1-3, 1 being the lowest and 3 being the highest ). this is determined based on the skills the mentors have chosen along with their notoriety and can be changed in the future depending on how many mentors and trainees sign up. for both the MENTOR and TRAINEE, the tier levels will also reflect the number of maximum points one can get for completing the task(s).

TIER 1  ( FOR JO EUNWOO, PARK HYUKJAE, PONGSAK TEE, TAKANASHI ASAMI ): completing one of the writing requirements listed below will earn you +10 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN ( please refer to ‘skills gained in the workshop’ section to see which skill(s) you can put the points in ). since there are multiple writing prompt options for both the mentor and trainee, you can complete up to 3 WRITING PROMPTS. however, you can only do the writing prompt once ( for example, if you wanted to do a thread with another trainee, you can only do it once so the other two writing requirements will have to be about something else ). if you complete 2 of the writing requirements, you will earn +20 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN OVERALL. similarly, if you complete the maximum ( 3 ) writing requirements, you will earn +30 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN OVERALL ( please refer to ‘skills gained in the workshop’ section to see which skill(s) you can put the points in ).

TIER 2 ( FOR CHEN MAYLIN, KANG MINJUN, LEE YUSHIN, SUNG HANEUL, YOO HYUN ): completing one of the writing requirements listed below will earn you +15 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN ( please refer to ‘skills gained in the workshop’ section to see which skill(s) you can put the points in ). since there are multiple writing prompt options for both the mentor and trainee, you can complete up to 3 WRITING PROMPTS. however, you can only do the writing prompt once ( for example, if you wanted to do a thread with another trainee, you can only do it once so the other two writing requirements will have to be about something else ). if you complete 2 of the writing requirements, you will earn +30 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN OVERALL. similarly, if you complete the maximum ( 3 ) writing requirements, you will earn +45 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN OVERALL ( please refer to ‘skills gained in the workshop’ section to see which skill(s) you can put the points in ).

TIER 3 ( FOR BAEK BYEONGKWAN, CHOI JUNKYU, HAN NOEUL, HAN ROWON, KANG YOOJOON, KURAMOTO MISAKI, KIM JINSEO, KIM SEYOON, KWON HYUNTAE, OH EUNHYE, PARK CHAEKYUNG ): completing one of the writing requirements listed below will earn you +20 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN ( please refer to ‘skills gained in the workshop’ section to see which skill(s) you can put the points in ). since there are multiple writing prompt options for both the mentor and trainee, you can complete up to 3 WRITING PROMPTS. however, you can only do the writing prompt once ( for example, if you wanted to do a thread with another trainee, you can only do it once so the other two writing requirements will have to be about something else ). if you complete 2 of the writing requirements, you will earn +40 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN OVERALL. similarly, if you complete the maximum ( 3 ) writing requirements, you will earn +60 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN OVERALL ( please refer to ‘skills gained in the workshop’ section to see which skill(s) you can put the points in ).

just like some of the side events, completing none, some, or all of the requirements ooc wise can have some positive or negative consequences for your muse so it’s up to you whether the muse would participate ( except for mentors who are required to do it anyways ).

WRITING REQUIREMENTS

FOR TRAINEES

as a reminder, you just need to complete ONE requirement to receive the minimum number of points possible but can do a maximum of THREE to receive the maximum number of points.

write a 4 replies ( minimum 8 lines, two posts per mun ) thread with another trainee taking the same workshop as you about learning about the workshop or practicing on the assignment/evaluation.

write a 4 replies ( minimum 8 lines, two posts per mun ) thread with your assigned mentor about the workshops ( small group sessions/one on one lessons ). in this thread, it must mention at least one struggle that the trainee is having difficulty with regarding the workshop.

write a 250+ word solo about the trainee muse working on the skills related to the workshop.

write a 250+ word solo about how your muse handled their assigned evaluation.

write a 300+ word solo or headcanon post about the trainee having a discussion with the coach ( KWON SOYI or JANG INSUNG ) talking about their thoughts related to the workshop. the coaches might ask questions such as, “what did you consider the easiest/hardest part(s) of the workshop?”, “were there any critical topics left uncovered? if there was, what topics do you hope to learn in the future?”, “how would you rate your overall satisfaction with the workshop?”, “what was the most valuable part of the workshop for you?”, “would you be interested in a follow-up or advanced workshop on the same topic?” you only need to answer at least THREE of the questions mentioned.

FOR MENTORS

as a reminder, you just need to complete ONE requirement to receive the minimum number of points possible but can do a maximum of THREE to receive the maximum number of points.

write a 250+ word solo about the mentor preparing for one of the upcoming group sessions or one on one lessons.

write a 300+ word solo or headcanon post about the mentor having a meeting with the coach ( KWON SOYI or JANG INSUNG ). possible topics to think about for this meeting are: their thoughts about how they feel as a mentor, the trainees’ progress, possible evaluation ideas ( do note that what was mentioned in this post is the final evaluation prompt that the mentor and coaches agreed upon ), and/or what they could do to improve the workshop. the post must cover at least three of the topics mentioned and you can include additional questions related to the topics if you wish.

CASTING CALL FOR "MASTER SCOUT: FOLLOW THE ROOKIE!"

Hello, everyone!

It's bittersweet to bid adieu to Legacy Hall Battle, but the premise for the new show might be suitable for more characters, which is exciting for Noeul.

CONCEPT: With too much time in his hands, Noeul is trying to find a new hobby (or sport) with the help of his guests. The guest will help him learn the rules of the game or following instructions for the activity written on a card. The pair will get to know each other, create memories, and rank the activity by the end of the show. If the two succeed in mastering the activity/sport, the pair will get to earn badges. Viewers should prepare for awkwardness, healthy competition, creative brainstorming, and (maybe) athleticism.

at first glance, rowon misreads the messages as we should talk, and he almost ignores it. almost. but there’s an inexplicable urgency to minjun’s texts - an urgency that has him shutting off the stove and shoving aside what he has started to cook for dinner. he grabs his keys, grabs his coat, tugs open his cologne drawer and goes for the one he wore at the club. the one he wore at the disney park. the one he’s always coincidentally wearing around minjun. he gives a spritz into his inner left wrist, dabs it out on his right, and taps the rest against the base of his neck.

then he goes -

along the river as the sun sets,

across the city as its lights flick on,

and he finds him seated on a park bench.

“hey.” it’s a soft greeting. a slower to approach hello. he places a hand at the curve of minjun’s shoulder and turns his wrist inward ever so slightly. perhaps it’s just an assumption. perhaps it’s just ego, arrogance - but he knows minjun finds his scent calming. he knows minjun finds him comforting. why else would he ask for him when they haven’t spoken in two months? why else would he reach out when their last exchange ended with an inaudible fuck you? they should talk about that.

but not tonight.

tonight, none of that matters.

he eases into a crouch in front of minjun and peers up at him. “what’s wrong?” he asks, his voice gentle. “you can tell me.”

it was weird being back in China after leaving so many years ago. 

maylin was only expecting to return if things didn’t work out within the company, only coming with her head hanging low in embarrassment. though, this simply wasn’t the case seeing as the trainees were now on a cruise - taking lessons and enjoying themselves with the different sights offered to them. well, enjoying as much as they can with a long day full of classes and their free time being so late at night.

the late hours of the night didn’t stop the brunette from roaming around on the docked ship and outlooking the familiar sights that she once wanted to leave behind for a better future. this all sounded dramatic within her mind, but maylin didn’t know what to do with herself. should she visit family and allow them to see what she has become over the last few years? or simply tell them they were all too busy and she would visit another time.

whatever decision she made, the sound of lingering footsteps brought her back to reality and stared down @lgcmjun​ who was simply minding his own business, or so she thought. “hey,” she called out, hands dangling off the side of the boat. “are you up for an adventure?”
