side event 010 - fan gift ft. @lgcxjongsuk​

woobin was no master crafter, but he did love video games. he had jumped at the opportunity to make a gaming inspired gift for the fans. and what better way to politely force (one of) his favorite roommates ever back to their dorm. he and jongsuk were almost scarily alike, and he genuinely missed having him around their little dorm. so, woobin was absolutely delighted when the other actually agreed to work together. and. plus, having an extra artistic hand with him definitely made him feel more confident that they could really pull off something nice for the fans.

commandeering the living room for the evening, their small coffee was covered with kitkats, oronamin c, and red bulls—how convenient that the brands were sponsors of league of legends—ready to be packed nicely for the viewers. he actually liked the idea, since the fans would be competing in their own lol tournament that he was so excited to watch. he was attempting to keep the living room at least a little tidy (yes they lived together so he knew how messy their group of boys could get, but woobin didn’t have to remind him) as he walked in. “jongsuk!” he exclaimed as soon as the other was in their living room. “bro” he said in english but switched back to korean, “how are you? it’s been too long!“ he jumped up from where he’d been sitting and went to jongsuk for a hug.

“remember. to. protect your name tag!!!!” she says this aloud to the camera, but also to her team and as a self reminder. it’s so easy to get caught up in the antics of finding all the flags, but she does not want to become a ghost. there’s this competitive streak she knows she has ‘hidden within’ that will arise during dream team, and she really does not want to lose. ara’s biggest hope is that her team mates will also be in the same mindset - and a part of her cannot believe that with the entire randomization of the groups, she ended up on the same team as nathan. what were the chances of this? she’s a bit exasperated but doesn’t let it show. hopefully their team work will come to fruition.

 though she does notice, she edges a little away from him subconsciously as she’s facing jongsuk right now, head on, arms crossed. “ready? got your game face on, jongsuk? do you think it’s best if we split up or stay apart? maybe if we stay together, we can protect each other’s name tags and warn one another if someone comes close by from the other team. are you a faster runner? i think i’m pretty alright.”

Wherein Soyoun and @lgcxjongsuk​ make Christmas cards

It suddenly feels like an entire season has gone by, as today is finally the last episode for this season. She hopes that the audiences liked it enough for her to get another season next year. She will be preparing to do things in Japan soon, and Soyoun has completely no clue when she’ll get to meet up with today’s guest again. 

“Christmas is coming soon, and what better way to get into the spirit by making Christmas cards?” Soyoun smiles at the cameras. “Today, a good friend of mine, Choi Jongsuk will be joining me! Wooo!” She cheers as Jongsuk walks in an introduces himself. It’s easy to be friendly with Jongsuk, especially now that they’re fake dating. The struggle not to flirt with him is very real, especially after she got so used to flirting with him. She is a professional. She’s got this. “Jongsuk,” she says with a sweet smile. “Did you often make Christmas cards as a kid to send to your relatives or is that only for those of us with cousins who grew up abroad?”

「✮ FAMILIAR ✮」

This was his first time participating in Future Dreams and Yoon Shinha was freaking out. He had signed up thinking nothing of it but now that the show was finally filming, he was realising exactly what he signed up for. His drive to follow his dreams of debuting seemed to have taken over him but now that it was all happening he was wondering if he had made the right decision.

Not only had he been split up from the dorm mates he had grown so used to, but he now had to befriend new ones. Shinha would miss living with Haneul, Minjun and Alex. Finding out that the three were still roommates while he had been moved had hurt, but he kind of expected it.

One good thing about his new group was one familiar face that he was excited to see. @lgcxjongsuk​ was someone he had been friends with for some time now and Shinha was excited to finally get to work with the older male. As soon as he saw the other, Shinha jumped up excitedly and grinned.

he’s never been the best at gathering a crowd in his opinion, and the only thing that he genuinely think saves him is that he’s not the only trainee out here doing the scouting. that and the fact that there’s an actual show on it’s third season behind him so he’s hoping it’s not entirely unheard of. ( it can’t be. it’s on its third season... )  hyunjin’s about to head back after speaking to another member of the crowd that he hopes will show up later to his group’s showcase when he runs into jongsuk on their way back to the direction of where the rest of the group was. “hey!” 

he’s gotten familiar with most of the boys within his temporary dorm, for the duration of the show’s recording. he’s pretty sure they’re only get to get more well acquainted through the group performances and competition itself. there’s a strange sense of brotherhood with the people he befriends, but hyunjin also feels so conflicted as it’s all competition and there’s nothing really friendly about it. he had never been able to be apart of the winning team, or win a solo, or whatnot. despite being a trainee for some time, hyunjin admits - he sometimes feels as if he’s falling behind the pack and wants to make up for it. not one to assume, he wonders what jongsuk is going through since he’s a slightly newer trainee. is the perspective different? is there more opportunities later? “are you excited to perform later? i get what we planned for the solo performances, but it’d almost be more comfortable doing many group performances. it’s so... intimate here at the university. do you agree?”

This is not the first time he slept inside one of the practice room. To be fair, he’s been moving to his new place throughout the weekend and the air conditioning has been having problems. So in an exhausted state, Max had decided to seat down by the corner of the practice room, taking full advantage of the fact that he had the place to himself, only to abruptly fall asleep in his corner. 

He doesn’t know how long he actually slept but next thing he knew there were footsteps walking around near him. Blinking beedily, he spots the other trainee not far from him. “-Hey..” Max calls out as he unsuccessfully prevented a big yawn from escaping him. “... sorry about that, are you gonna use the the room now?” Looking around him to try and gather his bearings.

►     ––––     .  .  .       if there's one thing that he's thankful for, it's at least that he gets to pick his guests for his own show  -  as much as subin actually disdains being forced into letting the staff pick out the choreography for him.  he gets the new vibe behind the show is something that his viewers wanted, and that's why he himself approached the staff to help him out a little to give them what they want but it's still just not so thrilling.  he liked being able to know what was ahead of them, so he could gauge his partner's reactions when they were watching the dance video.

now it just seems like a lame attempt at a game.  " i can't believe i don't even know what the choreography is .." subin groans, thumping his head against jongsuk's back.  " i did a whole season where i knew everything.  is this karma?" he's talking to jongsuk, but the camera is filming.  chances are, he'll cut this part out later.

QUICK OOC NOTE   ‧ ‧ ‧  this is something i used to do on other muses ( modeled after an old friend ), so i’ll be making the addition here. this is a nice way to keep up with your character and their developments - so i definitely recommend ! it’s fun and interesting to see how your muse grows, and since jiao’s 1 MONTH passed here at legacy, i figured now would be a good time to start. i’ll try to do this often, towards the end of the month, but we’ll see how that goes  👍

NOTES FROM THE PAST (2018): jiao auditioned for legacy entertainment not thinking she would give in. she tried, as she feared the wrath of her mother, but was heartbroken when she was accepted and moved to seoul. this adjustment was difficult for her. while she had experience with korean prior to her move, learning to use it everyday was a challenge. she was also on her own for the first time ever, so she faced some behavioral problems in adjusting to trainee life - lowkey hoping she’d get kicked out and sent back home. however, she was too afraid to do anything to bad so she was mainly just lazy pretty much, maybe the occasional minor rule break. notorious for her flings & love for a good party.

CURRENT: she’s definitely calmed down a lot since her first year as a trainee. after being inspired by nana, she decided to take this training a bit more seriously and committed herself to a healthy routine of training and of course partying on the weekends when she feels like it. during class, she’s  usually still laid back and has never been one to overachieve or be a kiss ass. never skips training like she used to, and focuses a bit more. career wise, she’s not sure what she’s doing.but her mother thinks she’s there to be an actress; jiao would like to keep it that way.

after becoming a trainee, it was unsurprisingly easy for her to socialize and make friends. people like miso, ahin, jongsuk, eunji, jinah, elly, hunji, jueun, shinha, and yeoreum inspire her to be better and house close relationships with the girl. sunhee sparks a drive within her that she didn’t think existed, while jiae makes her want to be irresponsible and reckless. 

jiao is confronted with a misunderstanding between her and seolmi, as well as the risky situation of appearing on king’s v-live. 

she’s got a bad habit for holding grudges, and seungjae was unlucky enough to find this out in the most odd situation. 

jiao kinda sucks with any romantic issue - as seen in her constant string of flings (old and new), alex, and dana who's feelings for her seem to fly right over jiao’s head. she’s always been told to focus on her career rather than relationships and affection, but somehow her relationship with mike has become confusing, at least for her. friend with benefits ended up being way too confusing for her, and she’s kind of lost on what to do.

her mother has come to see her once since her move to seoul, and jiao is disheartened by the fact. at little homesick and missing her mother, the woman is becoming curious as to why it seems she has dropped on her mother’s priority list.

Oh boy, this should be fun.

“More money in my bank account than I can spend in this life time, a wallet full of cash, for summer to come back so I can throw a yacht party with my favourite hot Legacy babes in bikinis or skimpy speedos. Oh, all of the company staff are also invited provided that they don’t try to scold me or kick me out after.”

He was just getting started, by the way.

“My ex cooking me spicy chicken curry in nothing but an apron, fresh strawberries to magically appear in my fridge every morning in the shape of roses like how that girl I met on Cram School filming set made them. I get cast in a main role as a psycho killer or some sort of corrupt lawyer. Diamond collars for all of my cats. My dad’s chronic coughing problem to go away. My mom to stop trying to knit me sweaters that I am never going to wear because I am allergic to wool.”

What else?

“For all of the people who are obviously into me but resisting my bed for some reasons to just face their desires and get in already. For the hot girl I hit on in Stunt 101 to get in my bathtub - her boyfriend can come too. Maybe for all homeless cats to find permanent loving homes. Actually, dogs too. Or just all homeless animals in general.”

❀ TRAINEE MISSION 004 : RAPPING BOOTCAMP w/ JONGSUK ❀ 

so perhaps, signing up for rapping bootcamp hadn’t been the brightest idea. initially, it did feel that way, because he seriously is lacking in that department, but as time passes, and he watches the music video, and listens to the track on repeat, it still doesn’t quite sink in that he’s supposed to replicate it. no, not replicate it, but make it his own, which is rather impossible considering he doesn’t ‘have the flow’ to begin with. you can’t own it if you can’t do a bad copy.

he’s hugging at his knees, balled up on the chair in the studio and he glances at jongsuk. “just give me five more minutes. i just want to... um listen to it one more time.” which probably will do as much good as people who didn’t study and decided to look at the pages of notes 1 hour before the exam. that wasn’t it though, he - yushin isn’t comfortable yet. that’s all.

the worst of it is there is barely any singing in the song to hide behind - but again, that’s not the point. rapping bootcamp is for rapping. and he’ll probably have to suffer, but also learn from this experience if nothing else and probably (no definitely), do something else for the competition. “um...” he tries to start off on the first verse of boy in luv. “i want to be your love--” stuttering and laughing, unable to take himself seriously. “okay, maybe- maybe this won’t work. you’re going to suffer being my partner on this, even if it’s just for practice!”

The Art of Dating

Normally, Soyoun is a strong independent woman who doesn’t want a relationship. However, feeling like a third-wheel to majority of her friends and their partners isn’t her idea of fun. She wants to understand the hype behind it. Who can she ask to demonstrate it in practice without them getting any ideas? Only one person comes to mind. Choi Jongsuk. Soyoun is aware that Jongsuk isn’t exactly a fan of commitment. Soyoun doesn’t want anything permanent either. Maybe this can work. Now the problem is just getting Jongsuk to agree. 

In order to avoid suspicion from anyone else, Soyoun brings some designs she had been working on. She will be asking Jongsuk to take photos of them when she ever gets around to making them happen anyway. She sees that Jongsuk is already at the waiting spot. “Did you wait long?” Soyoun asks once she takes the seat across him. “We had to film at least two episodes for the V-Live show today.”

He shots a message at Jongsuk to meet him by the restrooms on the third floor. Viggo in all sense and purpose is rumoured to be a troublemaker in Legacy. To say that those rumours are false and nothing but gossip that would be a lie. Not completely at least. Some of the things that are told about him have a lot of truth in them and evidence to back that up. 

The rumours that he holds grudges and is a prankster is just one of those many examples. Viggo waits until he spots Jongsuk to make his way to him before meeting the man halfway and throwing a casual arm around the other��s shoulder. “So remember that time they blared the fire alarms and deafen for half the day to mess with us? Well, my friend, I think it’s time for a little payback.” Grandeoulsy opening door to the male restroom for Jongsuk and guiding him in.

it’s weird to think that someone can be so attractive that they even make eating pizza look good—it’s a unique kind of compliment, and while he’s grateful for the praise, there’s a part of him (a big part, as a matter of fact) that can’t help but be insulted that his first commercial is for pizza.

though, he tries to mask his displeasure while they’re on set, and as they’re on stand-by, he’s using the downtime to size-up his competition. “ya’ nervous, jongsuk?” he aimlessly asks to the other trainee by his side, no overt malicious intent in his question—but still a good opportunity for insight on the other’s current feelings.

out of everyone there, jongsuk’s the most harmless (spoken in the least offensive manner, if at all possible, he swears), and while he’s on guard with nearly every other trainee in legacy, the kid’s grown a soft spot on taesung—but you didn’t hear that from him. “it’s supposed to be a summer-themed commercial, but jesus—this warehouse is absolutely freezing. the weather’s so nice outside, too. what a pity.”

     @lgcxjongsuk​ and i plotted something for the trainee mission!

     hunji heard of something the netflix people were setting up. they were put in pairs and asked to watch some of their seniors’, the idols who have already debuted, trainee videos. he had no idea why they were being made to do this strange reaction, but, it was for the show, and hunji already signed his soul away to the netflix people weeks ago.      he got paired with jongsuk to sit and watch the videos. he hoped whatever the netflix people were going to do with the videos would not be something bad. he just wished, he prayed, that only good things could come from being compared to those who are already debuted under legacy. his wishes almost became whispers as he and the other were asked into the hall.      the two boys sat down side by side, up against the wall, and were handed a phone. hunji sat with his legs separated, his knees bent, and his elbows resting on his knees. his shoulders were ever tense despite the rest of his body pretending to be confident and relaxed. they had been mic’d up all day and were ready to go.      the netflix people asked hunji to play the video when they were ready. hunji looked to jongsuk, knowing full well that the cameras were already rolling.      “do you have any idea what this is going to be?” he asked. the phone already displayed the beginning frame of what looked like an old dance practice video.
