KNOWING YOUR PARTNER WELL CAN POTENTIALLY MAKE WRITING TOGETHER A LOT EASIER.
REPOST DO NOT REBLOG !!
NAME: Bunny! 🐇
PRONOUNS: she/her/they
PREFERENCE OF COMMUNICATION: Discord and Twitter. I would say here, but I come here to check when I have no replies once every century apparently, so if you’re looking to reach me and me actually notice before hell freezes over, I quick glance check both every day at the very least.
NAME OF MUSE(S): Bellamy, Ideo, Lulubelle, Pica, and Whitebeard! And, if you know me and my history or just click around my carrd a little bit, you can find my secret little menu for some request-only muses!
RP EXPERIENCE/HOW LONG (MONTHS / YEARS?): I’ve been on Tumblr basically since it became a thing, give or take a year or two, moving over from deviantART’s comments and blog posts. This was back during the old layout, when you typed in a little box and all your options were just above it instead of highlighting to bold/italics and such. You know, when ask blogs were way more popular than RP blogs. So I’ve been writing personally for at LEAST 15 years, and on tumblr maybe about 12 to be generous.
BEST EXPERIENCE: Difficult to say, since I’ve had so many wonderful experiences with so many people. Everyone I’ve met here over the years has been so talented and inspiring, it’s hard for me to pick just one experience that stands out above the others. Not because nothing catches my eye, but because EVERYTHING catches my eye. It’s like looking up at the stars - you never really focus on one, you want to scan the entire sky and admire all of them.
RP PET PEEVES/DEALBREAKERS: Super excessive negativity ( like to an incredibly concerning and constant degree, it’s okay to be down and out sometimes, I just have a bad history ), the usual peeves of the general RP community ( aesthetics over writing, godmodding, you know ), blatant hate of any kind, not respecting or even reading my blog rules and vice versa ( trust me, people can easily tell ). Tbh there isn’t much that bugs me to such a degree that it’s an immediate deal breaker on everything, but patience has a limit, even in the most patient of people.
FLUFF, ANGST OR SMUT: All three! Like many I write fluff and angst most often with smut taking the back seat since I’m not in many situations where I can comfortably write it ( save to and for myself since that’s guaranteed okay ). That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy it when I can, however! I could basically live my entire life on fluff, though, and any kind of cheesy, cliché, silly softness or romance or whatever have you absolutely destroys me every single time. I love it.
PLOTS OR MEMES: Both! Usually when it comes to threads, I’m often winging it and going with whatever happens from even the most simplistic of starts, either a few sentences or a meme. I find that the interaction, being unpredictable and uncertain, makes it feel more like reality not knowing what will come and develop, and it really brings situations to life. I know not everyone is into that, however, and enjoy having a goal to work towards. That being said, I love to plot as well! I’ll talk your ear off about potential roads and relationships. I’ll talk into the night, into the morning, into eternity. Think I won’t - you’d be wrong. I’ll happily plot out entire histories and bonds to gear our threads towards without a second thought.
LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: Long replies all the way. It does take longer for me compared to short ones, but I love the detail, the intricacy, the fruition of an interaction to the point it makes it feel real. Short replies are always great, though, especially since they allow me to be more active more consistently than spending hours on the same reply. All interaction is good interaction.
BEST TIME TO WRITE: Really depends on my current schedule. Since I don’t really adhere to any unless I have things planned in the coming days, sometimes I’m awake super late at night and into the morning and other days I’m an early bird. Usually, though, I do most of my writing during the former, when most people are asleep, and I’m the little gremlin that’s still awake cause I have inspiration at 4AM. When I’m a normal human being, I also tend to write in the morning or during the afternoon, since I usually conk out on those days super early.
ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S): Debatable. I at least consider myself to be kind, which applies to 4/5 of my muses, and all of them in special situations. I think most people see me as a very peculiar blend of Lulu and Pica, former more prominent. When it comes to public face, I’m very quiet and shy and I don’t talk very much at all. Normally I don’t care to deal with people, or even be vocal at all, especially as the way I sound on top of many other things, has been the butt of many a joke. With friends and online though, you can’t get me to shut up, and I love you. I’ve opened up a lot as I’ve gotten older and, hopefully, matured a bit, but I’m sure you can still see a bit of both.

(—) ★ spotted!! ANGEL GRIFFIN on the cover of this week’s most recent tabloid! many say that the 31 year old looks like CASEY DEIDRICK but i don’t really see it. while  the NHL LA KINGS CAPTAIN is known for being GENEROUS my inside sources say that they have a tendency to be FICKLE i swear, every time i think of them, i hear the song EGO BY BEYONCE  { he/him - cismale} - penned sophie, 26, cisfemale, she/her
if you ask people who knew angel before the NHL what he was like, you’d get a very different answer to the version from the people that knew him after.
despite the fact he grew up larger than life, very obviously one of the bigger kids in the group. angel was always gentle, growing up in small town Minnesota he had a very simple outlook on life and what he was going to get out of it. he was going to marry hannah, the girl he had been in love with since the third grade, and he was going to take over the ranch that his parents owned as the oldest son.
he’d got it all figured out, from a very young age and people laughed that he was beyond his years with his life plans. they didn’t waiver though, not even when he started hockey practice, it was for fun at first, he and some of the boys joined as a joke, only at his sized, with his speed? it turned out that angel had something the rest of the kids didn’t have and sooner rather than later he was spending less time breathing in the fresh country air and his lungs were used to nothing but the crisp ice.
when he got into the university of minnesota on a full ride for hockey no one was more shocked than himself but hannah was smart enough to join him and the two of them went out into the world from their small town together. for four years he didn’t see a change in his plan, just an extension of time and soon enough he and hannah would be home again.
then the draft happened, he’d finished college, been told by just about everyone that he would be stupid not to enter and show how it had managed to slip him and his easy life style that he really was that good. when he was drafted into the LA kings as the 9th pick of the draft no one was more shocked them himself, no one was less impressed than hannah. as it turned out, she hadn’t loved the idea of him playing hockey ever but had thought it was always something he would do for a while not forever, she wanted to build a home, find herself back in their small town and she couldn’t with him drafted.
angel came home to a note lent against the old vase of flowers he’d gotten her before he had travelled for the draft and just life that life as he knew it changed. and so did he. he let the guys on the team take him out, he filled out the muscle he had been carrying through college into a full man.
when the puck bunnies and brand deals came he gave himself away to every single one of them and slowly but surely over the years angel has become less and less the gentleman that he was known for.
these days he’s the NHL bad boy, he get’s rookies under his wing and more action than they’ve been in their little lives and he’s always the first to throw gloves and check someone into the boards if they mess with his team.
since he was 22 angel has lived his life truly believing hockey is the only thing he needs besides good sex and good beer and he intends to live out his life with that theory.

new info: around a year ago, following a concussion angel griffin spent an unfiltered day with bristol decker, he knew who she was, recent ex-wife of his best friend and yet he couldn't help it, his little heart picked her and he's been hooked ever since. more recently, after just months the hockey star asked her to marry him and she agreed, the two of them married on the beaches of bora bora with bristols ex husband of all people officiating the wedding. they have recently divorced following the news that angel had in fact made a baby with one of his one night stands and the distance between the pair that caused.

Secret Studies -Ch.16 -The Secret Of The Serpent
The Elementalist AU
Beckett x MC (Oriana)
Words: 2558
Warnings: NSFW
Master List (Catch Up Here)
Beckett may have kept something from Oriana. What will it be, and how will she react when he reveals it to her?
Tumblr media
A couple days later, Beckett and Oriana were sitting in the dining hall with Shreya and Zephyr discussing plans for the weekend.
“I think a game night would be so much fun!” Zeph said excitedly. “There are so many things we can play! Oriana, I’ve heard of attuneless games, do you have any you bring??”
“Like…Clue? Monopoly? Twister?” She asked
“I have no idea what any of those are! Can you bring them all??”
“It does sound fun. I would be interested in learning them as well.” Beckett confirmed.
“Is that so?” Oriana asked. “Think you can handle a hardcore game of Twister?”
He frowned. “I’m sure I can, I can master anything. But…what is it I need to master? I will need to do some research. In fact, I should write the names of these down, so I can go to the library later and…”
“Oh my God, you are such a nerd!” Oriana laughed. “They’re games! They’re supposed to be fun!”
“Yeah, Beckett. Researching is not fun.” Shreya chimed in.
“Agree to disagree.” He replied shortly. “Research is quite fun if you know what you’re doing. There are all kinds of hidden facts throughout history that are in the library somewhere, just waiting for someone to come along and open that particular book. I do believe we’ve discussed this before.”
He was met with blank stares from around the table, and his cheeks turned pink. “You guys don’t research anything?”
Oriana lay her hand on his shoulder gently. “No one but you research how to have fun.” She leaned in and kissed him on the cheek.
He shrugged. “I know a different kind of fun we can have.” He joked, pulling her in for a heated kiss.
“Oh, gag me! You guys are just…. disgustingly in love. It’s cute and all but it’s disgusting.” Shreya grimaced. “Just go have sex. We all know you hump like bunnies anyway.”
“Shreya!” Oriana exclaimed, her own face matching Beckett’s new shade of red.
“What? I know you think you’re being quiet, but I assure you that you most certainly are not. I have to listen to my ipod whenever he stays over at night, and then I miss my alarm, and my whole next day is thrown off!”
“Sorry.” Beckett mumbled.
“It’s really not so much you.” Shreya winked, then nodded towards Oriana. “It’s your girl here.”
“Ahem.” A throat cleared, and all eyes turned toward the source.
Beckett put his arm around Oriana protectively. “Griffin. You have a lot of nerve showing your face here.”
“I go to this school.” He glared. “And these are my friends.”
“Funny. They’re mine too.” Beckett snapped.
“Oriana, may I speak with you?” Griffin turned towards Oriana, a pleading look in his eye.
“Anything you want to say to her, you can say in front of me.” Beckett pulled her closer to him.
“Oriana?” Griffin asked, ignoring Beckett.
“I agree with my boyfriend. Whatever you want to say, just say it.” She told him.
“Fine. Oriana, I apologize for kissing you.”
Zeph gasped dramatically. “You kissed?? How do I not know about this?? You’ve been holding out on me, all of you!!”
Beckett looked at him questioningly, while Zephyr winked, knowing full well he witnessed the action.
“I was sworn to secrecy by the bonds of roommates.” Shreya shrugged.
“Not to mention, she didn’t reciprocate. What’s to talk about?” Beckett fumed.
“Why has no one asked me about it? It’s clear all of you know.” Griffin demanded.
“Again. The bonds of friendship and rooming together, obviously. I just said that.” Shreya rolled her eyes.
“Okay, enough!” Oriana cried. “Griffin, I will accept your apology on the condition that you also apologize to Beckett.”
“Why would I do that?” He asked incredulously.
“Because you kissed my girlfriend! And honestly, Ori, you aren’t actually going to forgive him, are you? He was completely out of line!”
“Pretty sure you’ve been out of line yourself before, Beckett. And I forgave you, didn’t I? Why is Griffin different?”
Beckett opened his mouth to argue but sighed instead. “Alright. Point taken.”
“I’m not apologizing to him. I did nothing wrong to him.” Griffin stated flatly.
“Then I guess we have nothing to talk about.” Oriana stood up, gathering her things, Beckett standing with her.
“I’m sorry. Both of you.” Griffin blurted out.
“Thank you, Griffin. Apology accepted. Beckett?”
“Accepted.” Beckett grumbled, his voice so low he could hardly be heard.
“Game night this Friday. You in?” Oriana asked.
“You…you mean it?” Griffin looked floored.
“Of course. Why wouldn’t I mean it?”
“Well, I…I...thank you, Oriana!” Griffin rushed forward and hugged her, with Beckett stiffening beside them.
“Right. Of course. See you all later.” Oriana smiled and took Beckett’s hand as they walked out of the hall.
They silently walked hand in hand, returning to the meadow where he brought her months ago, where the flowers grew wild. Arriving at the large tree, they sat down, Beckett cuddling Oriana in his lap.
“You’ve been quiet.” She said softly.
“I know. I’m sorry, I just…he hugged you just now. He kisses you and hugs you and you forgive him with a snap of the fingers. I don’t understand, Ori.”
“You have nothing to worry about, you know.”
“I do know, but that doesn’t mean this is okay with me. We couldn’t have at least talked about this first?” He asked.
“You had to have known this would happen, Beckett. He’s my friend. He was my friend before you were. His signals got mixed up, it’s really not his…”
“Don’t you dare say nothing is his fault.”
She sighed. “I’m not going to argue with you, Beck. Can you just give him one more chance?”
“He’s up to something. I know it. I feel it in my bones. And Zeph agrees.”
She slid off his lap and sat directly in front of him, legs crossed. “Okay. I’m listening. Tell me what is going on. It’s more than him making unwanted advances. It’s a huge part but there’s something else. What is it?”
He took her hands in his. “Between us, okay?”
She nodded.
“Zeph has been tailing Griffin, who has been tailing you.”
She blinked. “He what?”
“He follows you. Anytime I’m not around, he follows you. He knows your schedule, he knows where you go. He’s dangerous, Oriana. I don’t like it. He has an agenda and I’m trying to figure out what it is before it’s too late and he hurts you.”
“There’s no way he would…”
“He stalks you! Ori, come on!”
She swallowed, hard. “He follows me. Everywhere I go.”
He nodded, giving her hands a light squeeze.
“And how long have you known this?” She asked.
“Since the day he kissed you.”
“You…that was a week ago! Why haven’t you said anything?”
“I wanted to get back to normal with you, I hoped it would go away after you rejected him but…I mean, maybe it has, I’d have to ask Zephyr again but considering we’re always together at this point I don’t see why he would.”
“I can’t believe you didn’t tell me. Beck.  That’s serious.”
“I know.” He hung his head. “I know, I’m sorry. I didn’t expect you to forgive him so quickly and easily. I was caught off guard and just got angry instead of thinking rationally.”
She leaned forward, tipping his chin back up with her fingers. “We’ll ask him on game night then. We’ll just…confront him. I’m not going to jump to conclusions here, there’s too much we don’t know. And a lot he doesn’t know about our relationship. So, I think the best thing to do is just be open and candid about everything. No more games, no more sneers, no more death stares. We need to figure it out, all of us.”
Beckett opened his mouth to speak, but she cut in.
“And we are NOT going to accuse him of any wrongdoing. It will make him go on both offense and defense and then we get no answers. Got it?”
“How did you become more rational than I am, Ori? I know the etiquette and yet somehow I really do just jump with the easiest explanations, or the easiest assumptions.”
She shrugged. “I was raised to see the best in people. You weren’t. And it’s not your fault.”
Drawn together like magnets, they both leaned forward and kissed, over and over again, until finally laying down beside each other, kissing lazily, as though they had all the time in the world to be in this moment.
Breaking away, Beckett looked deep into his girlfriend’s hazel eyes. “Ori…I need to ask you something.”
She smiled softly at him, at this man she loved more than life itself. “You can ask me anything.”
He took a shuddery breath, suddenly he was completely nervous and terrified. He began to speak, but then realized there was no sound coming from his mouth. He sat up abruptly, Oriana doing the same.
“Are you okay?” She was looking at him with concern.
“I…I don’t know. Never mind, it’s a stupid question. Just forget it. I’m being foolish, I already know the answer.”
She cupped his cheek with her hand. “Beckett just ask. Don’t be nervous. It’s me.”
“That’s the thing…” He started, his ears turning red. “It’s you.”
Oriana frowned. “Is something wrong? With me? With us?” Panic started building inside her, he can’t possibly be breaking up with her, not now, not after everything they’ve been through, everything they still need to conquer together.
“No! No, no, Ori, no. That came out wrong. Here.” He took her hand and placed it on his heart, watching her eyes widen.
“Beckett…your heart, it’s racing. What is going on?”
“I love you, Oriana. More than I have loved anything else in this world. I…I don’t want to lose that. I don’t want to lose you.”
“Beck, why would you think…”
He held up his hand to cut her off. “Please let me finish or I may never do it.” His face turned a deep shade of red, and Oriana bit her lip, wondering what in the world was going through his head.
“I…we’ve sort of discussed it before, but that was before…well, before now, and I thought that maybe…maybe your mind might have changed on the subject. So, my question is…Oriana…not right now, obviously but do you ever see yourself maybe….” He swallowed hard. “Do you think you’ll want to marry me? Someday? Spend the rest of your life with me?”
Her mouth fell open. “You’re asking me to marry you?”
“Well…not exactly…I mean, yes! I mean…maybe…Will you want to? Someday? Do you think?” He held his breath, his eyes never leaving hers, making sure she knew he was being serious.
“Are you sure, Beckett? I mean, we’ll have to get all dressed up and invite family and friends…. which includes your mother…you don’t think she’ll try to sabotage it?” Oriana asked him nervously. “Also all the planning and the…”
“That’s not answering the question, Oriana. Forget about everyone and everything around us, just focus on how you feel.” He sat up a bit straighter. “And at the risk of being rejected twice, I’ll ask again. Will you marry me someday? It can be tomorrow, it can be years from now, I don’t care but…Will you?”
“Yes” She breathed. “Yes, Beckett, yes”
He could hardly believe his ears. “Really?”
She laughed lightly. “You’re going to question it?”
He grinned at her. “Definitely not.” He crashed his lips against hers, pulling her back into his lap, running his fingers through her hair.
“I’m so ridiculously happy right now.” He murmured into her lips, and she smiled into his.
“Me too.” She ground her hips into his and he groaned in response.
“Keep that up and something else is going to happen today.”
“Mmmmm and what is that Mr. Harrington?”
“Well, future Mrs. Harrington…wait. Do you want my last name? Or keep yours? Hyphenate? Good God there’s so much to think about.”
“Beckett. Forget about everyone and everything around us, just focus on how you feel.” She smirked, repeating his words. “It’s getting dark, we don’t have a lot of time left out here.” She started fumbling with his pants, unbuttoning them and removing his belt, before lifting her own skirt and shoving her panties to the side, not bothering to remove them.
“Ori, wait….”
But he was already inside her now, she was grinding herself on him and he wrapped his arms tightly around her as she bounced, and he thrusted up to match her movements, moaning loudly as she quickened the pace. His face buried in her collar bone as she threw her head back in bliss, each panting each other’s names heavily.
“Oh my god, Ori…Ori! You feel incredible!”
“Beckett…oh god, Beckett…Call me Oriana Harrington!”
“Wh-what?”
“Say it!”
“Oriana Harrington! My wife! My entire life!” He shouted, and the sound of what she wanted to be called tipped him over the edge, and his hot seed spilled deep into her belly. She cried out at the sensation, trembling though her own orgasm, still being held tightly in his arms before finally slowing and stopping her movements.
“I like it.” She gasped, completely out of breath. “I like the sound of it.”
“Not as much as me.” He responded, just as breathily.
They stayed in each other’s arms, trying to catch their breaths, when he finally rose his head back to meet her gaze, before his eyes traveled to her locket.
“There’s one more thing about this locket.” He told her, blushing profusely.
She looked at him curiously. “Really? What else can there possible be? It’s already full of magic…”
He whispered into the locket “To my sunshine that makes the wildflowers grow.”
The locket sprung back into life, the metal wildflowers swaying underneath the suspended metal sun, the serpent slithering along protectively.
The corners of his mouth turned up and he spoke again. “To my Oriana, my true love that makes me grow.”
She gasped and one of her hands flew to her mouth, her eyes welling with tears. The snake stopped its pattern, and instead moved to become a perfect slender circle, a ring, that floated over to him, and he took it with one hand, while taking her left hand with his free one.
“I know it’s not much, it was all I could fit in here, but…”
“I love it” She said immediately, admiring the swirling patterns engraved in the metal.
Beckett slid the ring carefully onto her ring finger, pleased that it fit perfectly.  She held out her hand and admired it in the fading light.
“It’s perfect.” She whispered. “I’d never want anything else. How did you…why did you…you couldn’t have known I’d take you back when you gave this to me. We weren’t even a real couple before then.”
He grinned and pressed his lips gently against hers, cupping her face with his hands. “Perhaps I was seeing the best possible outcome of that night, and where we’d be now.”
Her eyebrows shot up and he chuckled. “You may have learned how to see the best in people, But I grew up learning how to get the outcome I wanted and to believe in it.”
“You are something else, Beckett Harrington.”
He shrugged. “But you love me.”
She laughed and kissed him again. “I do.”

okay so i finished the legend of the three caballeros on monday and i have so many thoughts about it so i’m gonna do this whole post that’s mainly for me to get out my thoughts but i also definitely want to discuss it with other people so please feel free to chat with me about it!! anyway,
-i love it!! i am so so so happy that these obscure characters who were in a movie in the 1940s got their own show (well a show in the philippines but i imagine that’ll change eventually)!!
-i like the voice acting, though i think they could've done better with josé and i personally prefer carlos alazraqui for panchito (he voiced him in house of mouse) but i do like the guy they got. i was nervous about grey griffin being in it because she’s in so many things and her voice kind of blends all her characters together for me but it didn't feel like that in this show, so that was good.
-kevin michael richardson is a legend and i love that you really got a sense of his character even though he voiced a literal staff. obviously wayne knight is also a legend
-they should have kept their characterizations from the movie, especially with panchito because i really don't like that they made him dimwitted, whereas in the movie he was just fun, energetic and cheeky. making him dumb kind of kills that and we have too many dimwitted characters in tv anyway, it wasn't a necessary change. and i get that they took his guns away to tone him down, but they should have supplemented it with something else instead of toning him down further by making him an airhead
-panchito is still my favorite caballero though despite al their dumb changes
-when panchito first said his full name they left out one of his names and i’m really confused as to why they did that, if anyone has an answer let me know
-i also feel like josé’s personality is kind of different, i dont know how to explain it though. panchito and josé were clever/mischievous, and i’d like to see them use those traits when facing villains (and donald lol) because those were good strengths and would make for more clever and humorous situations
-i wish they didn't change the dynamic of the caballeros, i really liked panchito as the “leader” with josé as his partner in crime when it came to teasing donald. now it honestly feels more like donald is the “leader” which doesn’t work well, and like josé is more of a “straight man” (although i would consider xandra the official “straight man,” he fits the role sometimes) which also isn't great. i think the humor would be so much better if they’d kept them the way they were
-THE CABALLEROS SHOULD SING MORE!! I WANT THREE GAY CABALLEROS SONGS!! AN EPISODE WHERE THEY FORM A BAND OR SOMETHING AND FIGHT OVER WHO’S THE LEADER
-i didn't know how i’d feel about xandra, considering she wasn't in the movie and isn't a caballero. i get that they wanted female characters which is fine, but at the same time i kind of want to know what they’d do if they were literally just the three caballeros? her introduction to them was weird, and so out of character, like after seeing more of her you wonder how the first episode actually had donald duck singing happy birthday to himself so xandra would spare his life. her role also feels weird to me, almost like she’s their babysitter? i don't know, i do like her and her character but i think they could’ve done something different with her. it would be cool if she was super out of touch with what’s going on now and had kind of a stale sense of humor and the cabs would play off of that more
-i love the triplets!! i actually didn't know that april, may and june were real characters but i was so happy they were included in this because they’re funny and fit well in their role. i kinda wish they all had different voice actresses though so they'd be easier to distinguish between
-i kinda wish daisy wasn't in this show at all lol she’s just annoying
-the humor’s decent, but i wish they didn't use any of those “haha panchito just did something weird/dumb” gags because those are lazy jokes in my opinion and his original character could honestly live up to bugs bunny standards of comedy if they did him right. i really think disney should have been taking notes from looney tunes cartoons for a long time because the humor in those is so well-crafted and just better in my opinion (sorry)
-THE NAZCA RACING EPISODE WAS SO COOL OMG the animation was really neat and the song was catchy and i loved it, it’s probably my favorite and i like that they include real archaeological things in the show
-i don't know if i like that the caballeros didn't know each other from the start, i thought it was gonna be like they were old friends meeting up after years of not talking or something but i guess this works for the plot of the show
-i wish they didn't shove those “teamwork is the best” messages down your throat so much, it’s way too preachy sometimes
-i want more character-focused episodes with character development that don't focus on fighting villains. i want to know about panchito and josé’s backstories!! i want them to be more fleshed out as characters because so far they’re a little flat
-i don't particularly care for baron as a villain, i just don't see a person like him actually caring enough about world domination or whatever to put up with felldrake
-i want the cabs to do more things on their own! xandra can be off by herself or with the triplets somewhere and the cabs can be heroes on their own
-i’m happy the animation didn't take a hyper-stylized route like the new ducktales did, it feels more like classic 2d animation though i wish it would have a little more squash and stretch
-it’s 2018 and time for donald duck to have SUBTITLES because i can almost never understand him
-the theme song is GREAT but i will always sing it in my head as “three gay caballeros” because that’s what they are and the writers know that too
there are definitely things i’m forgetting to mention but it’s 2am and i’m too tired to think but please talk to me about your thoughts on the show!! also i know i complained a lot but don't get me wrong, i absolutely love the show, i just have tweaks in mind.

Who thought it was a good idea to let me have a blog?
So I'm kind of curious: what's it like for everyone else when writing fic or coming up with head canons and stuff?
Cause for me, it goes kind of like this:
Warning: mental ramblings ahead!
Me: (doing nothing in particular)
My Brain: Hey! Remember that time you used game stats to represent the various fairy transformations and their power???
Me: Yeah?... Oh no. Brain! NO!
two minutes later:
Magical Dimension Online
Laurel is a beta tester, on the day of the national launch, she logs in, but something goes weird with her beta-data.
Instead of Daphne, she awakens as Bloom.
Why do you do this brain? Why, there's so much other stuff to do, why start a New Thing? Besides, that explains nothing. This is obviously an S.A.O. Rip-off crossover... cross under? Just, moved country and genre. Besides-
Magical Dimension Online
To celebrate the launch of Virtual Reality, several games are going online simultaneously around the globe, a different game for every country. In Australia, it's H2O: Oceania Online, in Japan, Sword Art. (and somewhere else it's Archipelago of Dragons/HTTYD Online)
America will be the first country to launch Magical Dimension Online, and ten thousand lucky players will get to pay a week before anyone else, with the added bonus of exclusive Primary Launch content.
Laurel is a beta tester, on the day of the national launch, she logs in, but something goes weird with her beta-data.
Instead of Daphne, she awakens as Bloom.
That... that doesn't actually help brain. Besides, now you'll have to change the whole plot line.
And obviously 10,000 people won't fit in Alfea-
Ok, so ten thousand players, stuck in a death game version of Winx Club. Obviously the Winx Club and close friends have to be Players, and if Bloom is a Beta Tester, surely the others should be too?
But then, why haven't their test data files gone weird... unless they have.
Okay so, there are schools all over the magical dimension, and players get randomly assigned to their schools based on character class, planetary affiliation etc, etc.
The Official Launch will obviously have to cover the canon show era, but the beta test... Oohh, what if the Beta Test officially set the recent history for the Official game. Like the ultimate New Game+/New Character in and Old Campaign.
So Bloom used to be Daphne, but what about the other girls... I want to include Roxy... If I make the others... okay, so if the Winx Club's old avatars are now the NPC parents of their new avatars??? (except for Bloom) Or maybe some of them were just the guardian fairies of their home worlds.
Maybe Stella used to be one of the Nine Nymphs with Bloom/Daphne, and came from Solaria, which is why she ended up as the Princess of Solaria this time? And why she ended up being the one to run into Bloom on Earth? (meh, I'll figure it out later.)
So Roxy would have been Morgana? (Or maybe Nebula?) Oh, crap, what about Selina, do I include her? And what about Diaspro and Mirta, I really want Mirta... (mirta was a witch who became a fair, like faragonda, selina is a witch.) Oh snap! What if Mirta and Selina were Faragonda and Griffin in the Beta?!
Okay, so why the whole shuffle? Obviously, if the new game is the future of the Beta, then Daphne would have done a sacrificial play in the final boss fight of the old game (Domino vs The Ancestral Witches.) Maybe an AI managed to escape the purge of Assistant AIs by hiding in Player Data. (like when cardinal blocked off the mental health programs from counselling the players in SAO??) And that caused a cascade of various Beta Test files being reallocated to NPC roles.
(I'll need to tweak the earning methods for various Fairy Forms, IE. Charmix: requirements in canon: facing a personal flaw. How would the system measure that? It couldn't, not really... so earning the basic form: have magic, be fairy class, learn transformation enchantment ie 'magic winx!' Charmix: have Basic Form lvl **, have bonded pixie companion, transformation enchantment, ???)
The schools are basically ongoing tutorials for the game, teaching Players the basics, giving them a few basic spells or abilities and then letting them out into the Dimension. (the better the players do in 'classes' the better their ability bonuses?) (hidden spells and abilities in the schools, quests from teachers (exams and stuff).)
Armour. Oh crap, with the fairy and witch transformations, having visible armour isn't really... uh... okay so, like glyphs and... no, uh... OH! civilian clothes carry armour bonus, and that carries over when the transformations happen.
Okay. So. In the Beta, which was a proper job for the beta testers and went for several months, 'Laurel' played as Daphne, Stella may or may not have been in her party as someone else.
During the final month of the Beta, Boss Fights started happening on a massive scale, one to every planet it seemed like. Domino was besieged by the Ancestral Witches (Valtor... wasn't there, he and Darkar are super old and have been sleeping for ages. The Ancestral witches are also super old, but they were awakened near the start of the Beta and caused all the other boss fights to happen across the Dimension. Including) The Wizards of the Black Circle attacked the Fairies of Earth... (shit, no, that doesn't fit with a sensible time line... So Roxy can't be formerly Morgana... What if we make her Eldora? A member of the company of light who retired to Earth, then the only massive Boss Fight could be the Siege of Domino? Yeah, that'd work... I think.)
So, Daphne does Sacrificial Play during the Siege of Domino, ends up with a status ailment that leaves her... kinda ghosty, and the Beta ends.
Between the Beta and the Official Launch, at least one AI intended for Mental Health counselling (or something) discovers hidden programming which causes IRL Perma-Death, and tries to talk to someone about it, only, the AIs start getting locked down or deleted. One AI manages to hide themselves in Player Data, causing a small cascade in the beta files, so several of the beta testers have to reconfigure their avatars, with echoes of their old avatars, who are now NPS (and AIs).
'Bloom' spawns on Earth, along side Selina and Roxy, who have no idea what's going on, or why they're in Gardenia instead of their chosen home worlds.
Bloom has a bunny, Kiko, who shares the same name as her former avatar's Daphne's Bonded Pixie. The girls realise something is glitching in the game and try to log out, only to realise there's no logout option anymore.
Choosing to combine their limited magical reserves, the girls manage to perform a search spell to locate the nearest source of magic, trying to find a portal to the Magical Dimension.
Instead the find Stella fighting an Ogre and a bunch of ghouls.
Having played the beta, they'd know the transformation enchantment (transchantment?), transform and help Stella, who they are surprised to realise isn't an NPC who's part of a special content quest, but a Player, who is just as confused as the rest of them. (and toting an SS Rank Magical Artefact.)
(The Dragon Fire would be SS rank as well, but having that as a power option is silly, so... it's a quest reward for a very complex quest line that took 'Daphne' the entire Beta to complete. Even though it somehow transferred the prize (???Title: Vessel of the Dragon Fire???) to her Bloom avatar... oh! If one then the other! That's how Stella got the Ring of Solaria, it was a similarly difficult quest line (one player can complete per server type rare) and the Ring was transferred from Stella's old avatar to her new one.)
(IRL Tecna is totally an actual programmer/hacker. All the girls chose their powers on their IRL interests. Except 'Bloom', whose father is an actual fireman, while she is an art/graphic design student.)
((The Trix are new versions of the Ancestral Witches, because creepy marketing guy couldn't fap to crones.))
Magical Dimension Online
To celebrate the launch of Virtual Reality, several games are going online simultaneously around the globe, a different game for every country. In Australia, it's H2O: Oceania Online, in Japan, Sword Art.
And she does not awaken on Domino.
Hey brain? You know I'm not going to write this, right?
…. right?
So yeah, that's kind of what my writing process looks like. What about everyone else? How often does your brain smack you in the face with an idea you are too busy to write?
Wait... why would there be a global conspiracy to murder-game tens of thousands of people? Unless there wasn't and Kiaba, the nutjob responsible for SAO, simply wrote the code for the murder game into the operating system that everyone else ended up copying for their games and all the NerveGear were equipped with brain-bombs so... in the non-SAO servers... who told everyone they died in real life if they died in the game?
IDK. I just don't know anymore.
So yeah, that's kind of what my writing process looks like. What about everyone else? How often does your brain smack you in the face with an idea you are too busy to write?

Sunday reading recap (18-Jun-2017)
Moonbreaker (Secret Histories #11, Simon R. Green) - so I’m really glad I ended up reading #10 & #11 back-to-back because #10 ended on a cliffhanger, with Eddie still dying AND trapped in another dimension. This saw the resolution of that whole arc, and the set up the final book, where the Droods go to war with the Nightside. The author basically wrapped the Nightside books several years ago, but we knew John Taylor was still kicking around. I really like that he’s going to cross over both universes so solidly, not just brief mentions & cameo appearances, and end things so decisively for both.
Knit Quick (Portland Heat #4.1, Annabeth Albert) - a short story glimpse at the post-HEA for the MCs from Knit Tight. Like all this series, it’s soft & sweet & sexy & satisfying.
Homecoming (Out of Uniform #1.5, Annabeth Albert) - cute little short about Zack & Pike’s first reunion after deployment after getting together in the first book. Very tiny bit of angst, just sweetness & romance.
On Point (Out of Uniform #3, Annabeth Albert) - c’mon, it’s SEALs doing a friends-to-lovers, what’s not to love
Feral Dust Bunnies (Offbeat Crimes #4, Angel Martinez) - I love this series so hard. This one features an adorable kitten named Audacity, who witnessed a terrible (and of course weird) crime. I love that we found out more about the cop team of Wolf (who used to be a wolf and then suddenly was a 10-yr-old boy) and Krisk (a lizard man, who I still want to know more about!)
Open Road (Garret Groves) - short, May/December; it’s never, never too late to make a change to make yourself happy
Heart Unseen (Andrew Grey) - good story, always here for diverse MCs
A Cock In The Window (A Kit Stone Mystery, Sue Brown) - [tw: discussion/recollection of child rape] NGL I absolutely read this because the title & cover made me laugh out loud but this was not really a lighthearted book. I was also on board because I like the author; she generally turns out an entertaining story with not too much angst. It does start out that way - the meet cute is because an ex gay porn star recognized a likeness of his own cock in the shop window and then it was sorta love at first sight. And then the murders began. I wasn’t really surprised by the grim darkness of the motive for the murders, because I have been well trained after decades of British cozy mysteries to know that there is always a super-seamy dark underbelly to all small villages. And in the end the decades-long pedophile ‘club’ that pretty much all the older men in town belonged to was exposed to the light. But the epilogue really ruined the whole thing because the MC just went back to being friends with all these older townspeople who knew about the child rapists but had kept quiet and surrendered the town’s kids to it for the sake of the town’s reputation? LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK? I mean, I can sorta see continuing to live in a town where everyone is pissed that you exposed the town’s sins to the world as a fuck you, but I cannot with this child rape apologist forgiveness. And I was really pissed because otherwise it was a decently good read (if obviously a bit dark) but it was kinda ruined in about 10 final lines of text.
Draakenwood (Whyborne & Griffin #9, Jordan L Hawk) - after the rage induced by the ending of the previous book, I wanted something I knew I was going to love love love. Plus, the author is hosting a live chat about the book today & I wanted to participate in that. And it delivered everything I wanted! Questionable alliances! An army of librarians armed with dictionaries! Channeling the power of a semi-sentient vortex of magical energy! Whyborne was so brave, he used the telephone TWICE!!!!! And shit’s getting really real in anticipation of the showdown with the eldritch horrors from the Outside. A+++ excellent addition to a great series.
Fav book this week: Draakenwood obviously, because you know, favorite series, favorite author. But honorable mention goes to Feral Dust Bunnies too.

i feel like u are expecting me already ;~) caleb - 2, 4, 5, 11 sam - 18, 20, 24, 27 :p
Hey yooo, I might have expected you ;^) ily so you’re more than welcome in my inbox! Also so many questions, I need to add a ‘keep reading’ LOL
02. What is one of your character’s biggest insecurities? Are they able to hide it easily or can others easily exploit this weakness?
I think one of the things that Caleb is insecure about is honestly just his personality? He’s a very caring and loving guy and sometimes he worries that he feels too much? So much that it might scare people away?
Also he tries to hide it though it’s easy to just not care when you actually care, if you get me? ;^P
04. What are their favorite traits about their lover? (one psychological and one physical)
His lover? What lover???? Jk jk! Caleb really loves Samantha’s laugh, is that a physical trait? He also adores how easily caring she is (even if it’s sometimes more of a problem than anything) :^D
05. Are they sexually confident or more of the shy type?
As long as it’s with someone he feels confident around, Caleb is definitely more confident. Of course, everyone is a bit shy the first time yeah? ;^D
11. What is something that would make your character fly into a rage?
Like most people, Caleb surprisingly isn’t very fond of seeing his family and friends be treated poorly.
18. What kind of home would they want to live in? Where would they place this abode?
At the moment, Samantha is willing to live in anything that isn’t unnecessarily huge and empty (like the Braxton residence). All she wants is a small place somewhere with plenty of other people so it isn’t as lonely as a huge house outside town.
20. Does your character like animals? What are some of their favorite animals? Would they want pets? What about mythological creatures?
Sam obviously loves animals. She has a soft spot for birds (mostly cockatiels), though her favorite animal is probably bunnies and rodents in general! She also likes griffins if we’re talking mythological creatures! :^D
24. In their own words, how would your character describe what their lover is like?
Johnathan: Pretty confusing and so different from the clumsy and pretty adorable man she once knew (I had to add him because trololo)
Caleb: A caring and wonderful guy who seems almost too good to be real
27. If your character was going to get arrested, what would be the most likely reason for it?
Accidental shop lifting LOL?

OK, let’s get part 2 out of the way.  Last time on My Little Pony, Twilight tried to start a school that taught social activity rather than anything remotely academic.  It ended up getting shut down by the man, not because of a total lack of math, science, literature, history, etc., but because the head of the school board is a huge racist who didn’t like them foreigners dirtying up things and had somehow been under the impression Twilight was making a military academy for future ICE agents.  Let’s see where things progress from there as School Daze continues in episode 2.
* Burying oneself in pillows in a darkened room while putting sad background music on is a totally reasonable way to cope with failure.  All that’s missing is the comfort ice cream.  But then I suppose that’s something you shouldn’t really have in bed when you’re buried in pillows.
* Oh come on, Twilight’s not the one that made enemies out of allies.  That was the school board deciding they knew international politics.
* The sadness is contagious! It’s even infected Angel Bunny!  Granted the bunny deserves a few metaphorical kicks, but not when he’s actually trying to do right by Fluttershy and Twilight.
* I think the better comment on that dress would have been “…for somepony whose life is a joke.”  Seriously writers, you missed an easy one there. And Rarity handing Twilight something that was obviously far more of a Pinkie dress.  That or Kefka.
* See, Pinkie knows the importance of ice cream for the grieving process.
* Ah, Starlight is going for the tough love angle.  Well, she’s got the jerk-chops to do it right.
* I think she got more things wrong that giving up too easily.
* I think the “how” is still pretty important if you want to achieve the “why”.  Just, you know, be aware of how goals necessitate certain courses of action.
* I know I shouldn’t be surprised that Pinkie made personalized cannons for all of them, but I still didn’t see it coming.  Nice that she remembered to include Spike in that though.
* And the kids apparently all decided to run away from home.  Well that’s a bit of a pickle.  Incidentally I wonder why they sent the ponies they did to each faction? I mean, Pinkie going to the Yaks makes total sense, she’s already the ambassador.  And Rarity has spent as much time with the dragons as anypony else.  And Rainbow and the griffins makes sense too.  But why Fluttershy and the Changelings?  Or Applejack and the hippogriffs?  Was there something in the movie that would make AJ a better choice for them, or were those two ones just a case of “gotta send somepony”?
* Twilight, being confronted with a mob of angry representatives is not the time to exult the success of your teaching methods.
* Dude, Ember, not cool. I know it’s a crisis and all, but you don’t go blaming your friend for that just because he’s the ruler of a race of deceptive shapeshifters.
* Right, need to get these names down in case they end up being recurring characters.  Smoulder the dragon I knew, that one was easy.  And the Changling is… Ocellus?  Something like that?  Silver Stream the hippogriff, another easy one.  Then the yak is… Yuna?  Yona?  Something. And finally the griffin is Gallus? Not sure if I’m hearing that right. Oh well, moving on.
* Congratulations Pinkie, you just gave Fluttershy a new phobia.
* Oh right, the token pony.  Sand Bar was it?  I guess that would make sense with the turtle cutie mark.  Which makes me wonder once again just how pony parents know exactly what to name their kids.
* Oh, and also he’s obviously procuring supplies for the kids, so now it’s just a question of if the non-Pinkie ponies can catch the obvious.
* Twilight had a class on historical friendships?  Well, at least it was something at least somewhat academic.  Also, apparently Ocellus is a bookbug.
* Silver Streak is not an entirely sane hippogriff.  She’s definitely the Pinkie of the group.
* Today children find out that just because the Everfree Forest isn’t as fierce as it was once portrayed that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have random monsters hanging around.
* Credit where credit is due, the kids knew enough to at least try and form a barricade with the wagons. Ain’t gonna do much good with how little cover those things actually provide, but points for effort.  And now for death by 1000 Needles.
* Um, Smoulder?  YOU’RE A DRAGON.  DON’T THROW PILLOWS, BREATHE SOME FRIGGIN’ FIRE.
* And here’s the reminder that the Mane 6 are a much higher level than the newbies.  Even Spike.
* It’s probably best that Fluttershy not know she clobbered one of the monsters with her tossed EEA manual.
* Nice try by Celestia to get the point hammered into Naysay’s head, but I doubt it’s going to work.
* Yup, bigots gonna bigot. Seriously, there has to be something Celestia can do to fire that guy, he just went on a racist tirade in front of both her and foreign dignitaries.
* Huh, was that flag on top of the rebuilt tower Twilight’s personal one?  It seemed to emphasize her own cutie mark and the six elements in their non-personalized state.  It wouldn’t be a bad one for her, honestly.
* Heh, nothing like lampshading the cheesy musical number.
* Ooh, Gallus using the fledgling eyes.  That’s just cheating.
* And so once again the day is saved via cuteness.
Well that’s all for episode 2.  The newbies seem like some of them have potential.  Ocellus is a cute little bug, and Silver Stream’s got an interesting enthusiasm.  And Yona’s own enthusiasm has enough potential for breaking things comedically. Not entirely sold on the other three though.  As for the plot… meh.  Honestly a “school of friendship” just sounds really, really stupid, no matter how you try and spin it.  And while the message is good it’s not exactly handled in a subtle manner. Overall not bad, though I’m not walking away from this one thrilled, I’m not throwing my hands up in the air and crying bah either.  Just gonna have to wait to see if this actually leads to anything good.

MIghty Morphin Griffin Rangers – Review & How Did You Do Poll
Hey there readers, with all the Morphin come to an end, and all the Lycra back in the closet, what better for us to waffle on about what we thought about the event in general. Yes, Mighty Morphin Griffin Rangers saw us spend 4 weeks cosplaying and battling evil Kaiju, and to be honest in my game there wasn’t a dull moment.
Well it all started with the announcement of a Power Range themed event from TinyCo during their Facebook Live Q&A. And I’ll say I was surprised, as the Power Rangers have never really featured in Family Guy.  So why Power Rangers, well it was obviously part of a promotional tie-in for the new Power Rangers movie which hit many of our cinemas last month. I admit my first thought was, Power Rangers… Meh!!! But here I am 4 weeks later, having quite enjoyed myself, so a good lesson there in not judging a book by its cover, or in this case an event by its theme.
And I have to say when the guys at TinyCo said their would be some new gameplay introduced, I was hooked in and ready to Morph it, just to see what it was all about if nothing else.
The game update unfortunately had some unusual App Store rules, in that it wouldn’t be available in a whole raft of mainly Asian countries, including Japan, the county that brought us the original idea from which the Power Rangers was born, so I’m sorry if any of our regular readers had to sit this one out, I’m sure TinyCo are too, but licensing obviously played its part here. I’m honestly not sure there’s an awful lot TinyCo could do about that.
The event certainly started on a positive note for me, I’d taken a chance on buying Rita Repulsa in the pre-sale and within minutes of the event launching she was working away clearing Cosplayers and giving me a real leg up in the first week. Also there was a clam generator building to buy, the Angel Grove Juice Bar. Buying this immediately would see me make enough clams in profit  to cover the cost of Rita Repulsa. Win- Win situation.
I was also immediately delighted to see this was a 4 week event, I think this is starting to work well for events, I prefer it to the 6 week events. And I think TinyCo are getting that anything longer than this becomes a grind, I’m certain,y finding that over at Tapped Out where the repetitive 6-8 week events really drain the fun out of things.
This event also seemed to bringing about some nostalgia, those that were Power Ranger fans were delighted at the chance to have Power Rangers come to Quahog, a bit like my delight when the yellow brick road appeared. It’s always nice to see comments from players who are having a blast in events.
I also decided to try a different kind of strategy in this event, as I previously said I purchased the Week 1 premium character, Rita Repulsa , partly because I liked the look of the character but also to see just how good a leg up it would give me going forward in the event.  I’m liking this move to characters/costumes not only being useful during a single phase but for the whole event. I continued my premium spending with the Alpha 5 Bot, just because he was cute, and I wanted him in my game. So those 2 characters and the Angel Grove Juice Bar were my  premium buys.
But now let’s take a more in-depth look at the event, and yes I will say this from the off, a lot of players found the early Phases extremely tough going.
FORMAT: A 4 week event that had 2 dreaded timed characters, and a return of the much maligned leaderboards. Now 4 weeks was fine, I like the 4 phase events, especially when the final Phase isn’t too content heavy. Phase 4 being content light was great for those playing catch up, I think it’s good TinyCo listened to us when we said there was often too much to do in the final Phase, but they need to remember the players who are completing events, so there needs to be a reward, a little something for completing the final Main Questline, a bit like the weekly challenges, for players completing all an events Main Questlines a little Clam reward, say 40 clams for a 4 week event such as this, basically just 10 clams for each of the 4 Questlines completed. It gives those who play to the end a little happy ending, and happy players in my mind are more likely to spend money.
CONTENT: Movie tie in, no Family Guy history for the content, but I strangely found myself having fun, and I’m maybe a tiny Power Rangers fan now, hopefully I’ll get over it soon.
ZORDS AND KAIJU: I liked the new gameplay of creating Zords, but felt some players didn’t fully understand that our Zords could be used on their own without combining with other characters, this saw many fall behind as they delayed attacking Kaiju until they had unlocked characters. So if you were one of those players I’d like hear where you ended up.  But as I say the Zords were fun, and the battles were short but the rewards were hit or miss, again random drops brought many players to a screeching halt. I think TinyCo need to look at this, especially in this event when it came to the Zeo Crystals, a supposedly Uncommon drop that for me didn’t drop once from over 30 defeats of the Earth Kaiju, c’mon TinyCo that’s criminal stats.
CHARACTER DROPS: With regards to gameplay it was good to see less characters have multiple tasks for different drop items, I know there was still some crossover but that will always happen as core characters that were unlocked in the early Districts are used in events to allow newer players to join in events. I really think TinyCo got the balance quite well in this event and used a good ratio of characters and buildings with drops. Also good to see more old characters being use for even just PowerCon Pin  drops, players have been asking for that for a long time..
CHARACTERS: What did I like, well we got quite a couple of  new freemium characters as opposed to just a whole lot of costumes. Although we got load them too. Didn’t like that they didn’t realise a female Power Ranger, players were hoping for one. But I’m sure they just picked the most popular or those the rights holder allowed.
WEEKLY CHALLENGES: The weekly challenges were a bit easier, especially the Week 2 challenge, lol. But the 4th one was a tough ask, and may have seen many payers fall at the final hurdle. One thing that would help players make decisions on clam spending for weekly challenges is if TinyCo would verify the Grand Prize is a decoration in the challenge screen.
LEADERBOARDS Yes they returned for the first time in a while, and I’m glad to say many players seemed relaxed about them, which I think is the right attitude. I’d still rather see a Community leaderboard format. And as ever I will not spend clams trying to pursue the leaderboard, I just finish wherever my play takes me,
GAMEPLAY: TinyCo promised us some new gameplay and we got it in the Combining of Zords to attack the Kaiju, but for me although I loved the Zords, the gameplay wasn’t radical enough to cause a lot of excitement in event after event burnt out players.
SUPPORT: There has been improvements in this area, but more work still needs done, I had reason to contact them a couple of times, and found a mixed bag in how my issues were dealt with, one was dealt with as I’d expect, and I was happy with that but the other which should have seen a similar response wasn’t dealt with at all. Frustrating!
MYSTERY BOXES: It’s no mystery what my feelings on Mystery Boxes are, I’ve long despaired at the way TinyCo implements Mystery Boxes in events. But in one way they seem to be responding to concerns by putting returning characters in as potential prizes rather than too many useless decorations. But they also still have too many repeatable resources and the odds of winning the top prize continues to be brutal. Maybe put in a little gameplay that lets you win a free chance at the box.
BOSS BATTLES: These weren’t too bad to start with, freemium players could attack at lower levels. But as phases progressed some of the Kaiju heart levels were ridiculous, and of course the random nature of the drops isn’t something I like to see in Boss Battles, it takes a lot to build up what you need to do these attacks, to then not get a drop is really soul-destroying. And as for the seemingly Uncommon drop of Zeo Crystals, this was ridiculous, it was more like Extra Rare in some Kaiju and non-existent in the Earth Kaiju.
QUESTLINES: Now the dialogue and tasks were fantastic, no issues at all there, but what I do find troublesome is having a character with a task for an essential drop being needed for all the side Questlines, in this event it was Chris. I’m still clearing all the tasks he has built up now.
DROPS: Rare drops on an essential item should raise concerns with the development team immediately, as should random drops you can’t control on a timed character. Especially when losing out on those timed characters impacts your future event progress. These really are errors that shouldn’t be being repeated 3 years after the game’s launch.
So fellow addicts, that’s just some of my thoughts, and I want to stress they are just my thoughts, they in no way reflect what Bunny or Lotty felt about the event, but before I ask for your thoughts I want to say one last thing about the event and that’s how fantastic the animation has been yet again, really top work from the guys at TinyCo.
Anyway that’s my ramblings, now I want you to tell me your thoughts. But please don’t turn this into a boiling hot What the Deuce post by as Bunny will exile me from the blog for 10,000 years. Please give us your feedback and thoughts in a fun in the sun sort of way. Tell us what you liked, didn’t like? What you’d like to see more of, what you’d like to see less off. Share with us everything and anything you think would improve FGQFS, as TinyCo do read this blog and of course Bunny also takes your feedback to TinyCo. And if you can please take a minute to complete the end of event poll at the end of this  I’d be very grateful.
And just incase you can’t see the poll or find it jumps about when you’re trying answer, here’s the direct link:

TinyCo Facebook Live Q&A – Recap
Hey there Clammers!
TinyCo announced recently that they wanted to try out a Live Q&A on their Facebook Page, and a bit like their previous Reddit AMA  there were mixed feelings about them doing this, but I think it was long overdue that they reach out to the community again and as much as this didn’t go quite as I’d hoped, (more on that later), hopefully it’s a start.
For those of you who missed the Q&A, it was live on Monday 20th March, and you can still watch it in full via TinyCo’s official Family Guy Quest For Stuff Facebook page, but incase you don’t want to go there, I’m going share my thoughts on what was a rather unusual Live Q&A for me.
THE TINYCO TEAM
Left to Right we have: Jason (Lead Artist); Jay (Lead Producer); Kimberley (Narrative Designer); Damon (Animator) and Kate (Lead Community Support).
THE LIVE Q&A – MY THOUGHTS
Now this was a 30 minute forum, and I’m not going to sit and do a word by word transcript as I’m not sure who would lose the will to live first, me writing it or you reading it. Instead I’m going pull out and highlight any interesting info and just give my general thoughts on what worked in this format, and of course what didn’t.
I’m going to be straight up honest before we go much further and say I was disappointed by the way the Live Q&A went, and I don’t mean due to the comments and questions being hijacked by trolls. No, it was the fact that from the outset this whole Live Q&A came over as very scripted, like when politicians give a Live Q&A briefing but the questions have actually been wrote by their own team and the answers rehearsed earlier, this just lacked the spontaneity i associate with a Live Q&A. I’m sorry TinyCo but this was the way it came across, the questions were too much about the Team and not the game. And that’s not the type of questions we see day in day out from players.
There was possibly too much talk about who the guyswere, where they came from and the Family Guy show rather than the game itself, after half an hour of listening I feel I learned very little about the game I didn’t already know but I sure as hell felt like I’d known the TinyCo guys all my life. I felt by the time things ended I wanted get them all friendship bracelets as a token of my affection, lol. And hey, maybe that was the point of it, so we’d get to know them as people and not just TinyCo employees, and hey they all seemed awfully nice but by doing this the Live Q&A lacked spontaneity, fun, the unexpected and the down right bizarre that anything linked to Family Guy usually demands.
It also seemed to lack a lot of player questions, the whole point of going live is to answer questions that aren’t only asked before but actually asked live on the timeline, encouraging quick fire and fun responses. Check out this Addicts LIVE stream to see what I mean. Instead I sensed some nerves from the guys, although not the gals, and pre-rehearsed responses to pre-set questions. I’m sorry if that wasn’t the case but it’s certainly how it came across listening to it live.
So that’s my main criticism, and as this was a first outing I can forgive that, I guess some performance nerves combined with not knowing what to expect from what can at times be a very hostile Facebook audience, probably made this a who drew the short straw jaunt for the guys we got to meet. But on my 2nd, and 3rd listen of the Live Q&A  I started to look past this and pull out little bits of info I thought players might want to hear about, and yes I’m going share them with you soon.
I’m also hoping if you watched the Live Stream you’d give us your thoughts in the comments. But please no hating, this isn’t what this post is about, it’s about saying a little Thanks to the TinyCo guys for making the effort but also telling them what worked and what didn’t in order when the next Live Q&A happens we might see more of our questions and less strategically planned answers. Also we might see a bit more interaction with what’s going on on Facebook as they chat, I’d have loved for one the guys to have joked about sending them some love and likes as that sea of little angry faces ran across the bottom of my Facebook screen. You know an instant reaction but in a joking way, jesting with us, playing with us, truly interacting with us. Even a “hey you guys, stop mocking us” in their best Stewie voice. Sometimes it’s ok to show us you’re only human after all…..
THE LIVE Q&A – WHAT THE TINYCO TEAM TOLD US
Well they told us a lot about themselves, which I’m guessing most of you don’t want to know so I’ll try to be brief. But suffice to say, although they weren’t jumping up and down Tiny Tom style they all appeared to love working on FGQFS as much as some of us love playing it. Even Kate, who surely has the toughest job of any at times.
Here’s a few of the things they said about working on FGQFS: It’s a dream; It’s wonderful; It’s great; Every day is different; Can’t wait to go to work everyday; Paid to do what we love; Get to spend the day making stuff up and playing; Team is like a family; Gives you an adrenalin rush and that’s despite the long hours, stress, the brutal nature of the mobile gaming industry and even at times being so busy you end up sleeping in the office.
They are also all big Family Guy fans, they said this about the show: Love the humour; The random nature of the show; How it always comes back to family & friendship; It’s got heart at the centre of it.
And Brian & Stewie seem to be their favourite characters from the show, so it must frustrate them as much as us they can’t use Stewie more. But it’s great to know they all have a passion for the game, and want to be there devising content and events for us for a long time.
Now the second overall thing I took from this is the way they all talked about the game going forward, as let’s face it there’s been a lot of speculation that with the Futurama game looming the end was nigh for FGQFS. But the TinyCo’s teams general chat and body language did not seem to signal the end is imminent in any shape or form so it could be the game everyone loves to hate it going to endure for a while yet.
What made me think this, well talk of bringing in more land once we see more of the older devices disappear from our lives, so they talk in terms of the game outliving these devices. They also talked about the issue with The Blimp, in fact they referred to the ongoing problems as a horror story as every fix causes a new issue, so they are planning to remove it and redo that part of the game, now that’s not something they’d consider if the game were on its way out surely? There’s also still a team of 40 or so working on the game, so it’s not down to one guy and his computer just yet.  And the artists continue to create 3 new characters a week. So this all says to me FGQFS isn’t going anywhere just yet, so don’t unbuckle your safety belts guys as this crazy ride continues.
Ok now onto more specific bits and pieces, as I mentioned above there’s a team of about 40 that work on FGQFS, so next time we moan about having to buy a premium item I guess we should think that those folk need paid, they ain’t doing voluntary work. And Kimberley revealed for every 4 week event they need to come up with at least 200-250 new jokes. I take my hat off to that as like Kate, I struggle to come up with one joke, never mind being able to roll off a production line of them. I’d be laughing all the way to the Bunny Asylum if that were my job.
They told us how they plan an event, sometimes they pick an episode and build the event around it, and I must say this is the events I like to see, ones where I recognise characters and costumes from the show. But they also confirmed sometimes they do the opposite and they get the rights to an Intellectual Property, say for example, Power Rangers, then they look to see if it has links to the show and if it doesn’t they devise a way to merge the two together in a funny Quahog kind of way.  They also revealed they still working very closely with the writers at the Family Guy TV show who continue to share ideas with them.
They also talked about something we see in our comments a lot, a desire for new gameplay and features during events, many of you have recently felt that too many events are the same format onl with different content to unlock. And they talked about this revealing that even when they reuse a format they do endeavour to make it better, for example they said the Quahog Heat gameplay features were based on those of The Hauntening, only with some tweaks to improve it.
But they also added not only did they understand our cries for new features in future events, they were actually going to be delivering some in the next event, Mighty Morphin Power Griffins.  So as much as many of us say they don’t listen, they obviously do!
Likewise they touched on the ongoing demand for old event characters to return, the most popular requests being for American Dad characters; Superheros characters and of course Star Trek characters. This is a question that they’ve now answered many times, but did so again. Basically they only get a limited time contract to give them the rights to use these characters during an event. If they want to bring them back they need to agree a new contract, so they can’t just drop these characters into the game at any time to please new players. But Damon stressed he’d love see some return himself as he hasn’t got them in his game either.
They chatted about their favourite Family Guy characters that they get to work on in the game and for everyone who’s fed up with Peter having so many skins, please be kind to Jason as they’re one his favourite things to work on. And Jay, well Joe’s his go to guy, and as for Damon, he’s got a soft spot for Bruce. And Kimberley well it’s all about Brian & Stewie. And Kate well she kept that her little secret, lol.
They also found time to chat about all us multi-millionaires and tried to explain why some of us have more coins than we’ll ever be able to spend. They said they will try introduce items to buy but in order to try keep events balanced and fair they will always use an event currency or else us multi- millionaires would just burn through events too quickly. And they are right, we would and then we would probably complain we’re bored, cause hey we’re entitled multi-millionaires aren’t we. Lol.
There you have it, hopefully the start of a new relationship with the Staff at TinyCo currently working on Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff.
Did you see some things you were curious about answered? Have some helpful suggestions/replies to some of the questions you saw or the LiveQ&A setup adopted? Thoughts on the Current Staff? Let us know.
