theyd say something like "oh so you think its okay to have a system where success is penalized? why would anyone want to try to be a billionaire then? why try to be successful at all then? thats just an unfair system"

theres like20 different ways in how thats a stupid response, self-contradicts, is easily debunked, etc.

but it follows along with the mentality that its more important to follow the rules than it is to address the reality of the situation. like. its more important that we keep a "fair ground" for "Everyone" than it is to address how many people are struggling to keep up with basic living expenses, the horror of committing the sin of "unfair standards" so people can have a better quality of life. it follows along with them being bootlickers too, of course theyd love an entity thats hellbent of enforcing the rules on "those we deserve it"
