Your new profile picture! 😍 So, what brings Georgie to (post 1887) Paris?
Hehe. I finally managed to get into Cambridge, so I decided to commemorate this with a ‘Carlo in Cambridge’ thumbnail to parody ‘Emily in Paris’ . I decided to give Georgie a beret and the dour face of a je ne sais quoi french existentialist , which was also probably what he looked like during his French exile, because I wanted to honour his moodiness and Cambridge doesn’t have distinct headwear XD.
Carlo in Cambridge >>>> Emily in Paris, non?

The Neville Clan aboard Warwick's Trinity as depicted by @nebylitsa
I’m pretty sure you must all think I’m mad by this point but this one has been long in the making 🤭 (and I’m also trying to compensate my creative outlet with commissions as I don’t have enough time and energy atm to write fic).
So behold my most recent commission from the mighty @abstractchronicle <3 . He did a splendid job drawing Warwick & co. So as explained in my previous ask, this is the whole gang going to Calais circa 1457 (no Carlo Ziglio this time I’m afraid). From left to right we have: Isabel Neville, The Kingmaker(TM) and Anne Beauchamp holding little Anne Neville.
Your favourite 15th century fannart patron highly recommends that you check out this talented individual’s work and I hope you all feel like gushing over this as much as I am rn T_T.
Peace out 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

“Moreover, the value of the support London gave the Yorkists in 1460–61 might have given further impetus to Warwick to appeal to merchants in the manifestoes of 1459 and 1469.45 At first glance, the appeals, generally calling for the protection of merchants and their trade, seem fairly generic. Yet the earl was making a direct point of telling merchants that he was looking out for their interests and there are suggestions in his manifestoes that he was doing more than offering vague words of support that any nobleman might have known would be appealing to merchants. For instance, Robin of Redesdale’s manifesto of 1469 not only included merchants as one of the groups of people who had suffered at the hands of the regime and its minions, but it made the point that the receipts from tonnage and poundage should be spent solely on the keeping of the sea for the ‘savegarde of entercors of marchauntes’.”

I just gotta ask, about your newest avvie! It appears to be 'Daddy' Warwick on his (pirate) ship holding up his little Isabel, amirite? 😊 Please show us the drawing in full! Bursting with curiosity, here! 😄

I know I can be a dreadful tease ;). It’s not done yet but here is how the commission looks so far.
So they are on Papa Warwick’s Pirate Ship Trinity, it’s 1457 (when Warwick canonically got his wardenship and sailed to Calais to settle there with both his wife and two daughters). Anne is not yet 1 years old and Isabel is 5 :). Warwick is filling little Isabel’s head with notions that she will be like the princess of Calais (contemporaries have side-remarked how Warwick controlled Calais as if it were his principality). Anne Beauchamp (who was allegedly not a fan of Calais and hated going there) is looking at him like ‘I love you but could you please stop filling Isabel’s head with nonesense… also don’t drop the child in the ocean’ XD.
Young Papa Warwick is going all lion king and Isabel is waving as if she’s greeting her people hh. It’s a harmless silly little commission but it’s supposed to bring an eerie feeling us knowing the famous treacherous passage the four would make past the channel in 1470 :(. Hope the commissionee doesn’t kill me for spoiling it but I too have no patience haha. Commissionee is @nebylitsa
