Testing, testing - would anyone be willing to test knit a bag pattern? The Aran Shopper comes in 2 sizes; this is the smaller size, I'll put the larger one in my Stories. I made the larger one last summer when I came across some jute yarn in Aldi, but by the time the pattern was ready, summer was passing by. Hopefully, I'm not too late again this year! 😅 This smaller size was again knit in jute, this time from Søstrene Grene, but you don't have to knit it in jute - I know it can be harsh on the hands for many people. A good, strong plant-based yarn would work best; I'm curious to see what it would look like worked in linen or cotton. The bag is knit in the round, with German short rows to strengthen the corners, and has a travelling cable which becomes the bag's handle.
