The hardest part about throwing out my back is the patience to get better before going full tilt back into everyday life. It’s taking every amount of self control I have this weekend not to pull out the pickaxe and shovel and work on the front flower bed. . Someone asked me a few days ago what my hobbies are and I said “CrossFit, Food, & Work” (yes I realize the irony of considering work a hobby) but I really should have put gardening on the list. At least right now. If I’m not daydreaming about which vintage mirror to put on what wall, I’m daydreaming about how to design my own Edwardian garden. . Granted, they probably weren’t planting okra at their villas in the early 20th century, but they were missing out on these gorgeous blooms and my favorite vegetable.
