Gosh, they would never want to mess around with Aruto in any capacity, other than Fuwa probably. They respect Aruto too much for it and Horobi is still very hesitant to talk to him. Aruto would try to coax Horobi into talking to him and he knows the others are trying their best to help Horobi come outta his shell but Horobi just fucking clams up.

Jin and Ikzauchi speak the most to Aruto and those two travel in his phone like Vice-style so Aruto can show them the world. Sometimes Naki joins in and Horobi only tags along with them if he's convinced. Ika and Jin send Aruto the most memes too.

They all take turns fucking around with Fuwa though, kinda. By that I mean Naki, Jin, and Ikazuchi send him memes and Horobi constantly texts Fuwa, "Have you ate yet? Got sleep? I swear to god if I had my body again all of us are going to come to your house and knock you out so you can get some sleep." and Naki does worry about Fuwa a lot don't get me wrong, but Naki is more so...

"Fuwa Isamu, I know you are staring at your phone and not getting sleep. I am about to shut off your phone and delete all of your data and publish it to the internet if you do not go to sleep right now. Sincerely, Naki."

It's kinda the same to Yua with Jin sending Yua the most memes, Naki, Horobi, and Ikazuchi taking turns to parent her.

Our Idiots

Tadashi and Ikazuchi team up to retrieve their idiots (Read: Aruto and Horobi) from the make-shift arena.

A/N: Thanks to @thehistorynut19 @tokuteasings for helping me map some things out in the story XD I also got some ideas on from @flaim-ita on their various blog posts XD

Tadashi has been watching the altercation between Horobi and Aruto in the latter's apartment. He had been to Aruto's apartment before, back when he first woke up.

While the late CEO of Hiden Intelligence was signed as his guardian back when he was first found unconscious in the building, likely to cover up anything unpleasant, it was Aruto and Izu who took care of him.

Tadashi's muscles atrophied from disuse as he was unconscious for a long time, it was Aruto and Izu who helped him through rehabilitation up until he was able to walk on his own.

Tadashi then offered his services to Hiden Intelligence as a robotics engineering consultant to repay the goodwill Aruto has extended to him.

Nowadays, Tadashi lived in the apartment next door. He was in Aruto's home in the hopes that his surrogate little brother, despite him being younger than the young CEO, would at least return home after he slipped from his fingers the last time they met.

And sure enough the Aruto he was seeing on TV was anything but healthy.

Over the course of the year, Tadashi did not waver in supporting Aruto he even packed his bags from Hiden Intelligence and transferred to Hiden Manufacturing when that bastard Amatsu Gai booted him out.

Oh, how he had wanted to punch the bastard's teeth in.

Tadashi has also been privy to Aruto's actual relationship with his grandfather, who at first glance Aruto seemed to revere.

It was the exact opposite; it was sour, to say the least.

"Why do you use his motto, then?"

"He's still family, no matter how you put it, he still took me in."

Tadashi really disagreed with that point, but then again, he grew up in the Americas and not in Japan.

That was another mysterious thing: Tadashi didn't know how he got from San Fransokyo to Japan, he didn't even know how long he was unconscious because he was apparently in the year when he was supposed to be seven years old.

Not to mention this world did not have a San Fransokyo, rather, a San Francisco was in its place.

Tadashi shook his head and stopped thinking about his mysterious circumstances.

As soon as Tadashi saw Aruto's Ark armor dissolve in particles of light, he knew it was time.

Tadashi turned off the electronics in Aruto's apartment before he dressed himself and went outside.

His destination: Hiden Intelligence.

Tadashi took Aruto's bicycle and made his way to Hiden Intelligence, where he knows Ikazuchi was at. As he made his way to the company, Tadashi continued monitoring the fight via the large screens that have been streaming the entire thing.

As he was about to enter the building, he saw both Aruto and Horobi don their respective suits, but this time Aruto was wearing his Zero-One suit.

Tadashi entered the building, expertly maneuvering around people who were in the lobby as he made his way to the space flight department of the company.

And there was Uchuyarou Raiden, Metsubojinrai's Ikazuchi, standing beside the humagear he declared to be his little brother, Subaru, watching the fight between Aruto and Horobi alongside the other humagears, and the company's human staff members.

"Oi, Ikazuchi!" Tadashi called out, garnering everyone's attention. "Let's go get our idiots."

"Thought you'd never ask." Ikazuchi smirked.

"Would you require the Rise Hopper?" Subaru questioned.

"You know what, that thing hasn't been in use and has yet to be sent back in space, sure why not."

"Wouldn't we need a sidecar or something?"

The reply Tadashi got was a smirk not just from Ikazuchi, or even just from Subaru, the smirk came from everyone within the department.

A few minutes later, the Rise Hopper, the green motorcycle was fitted with a rickshaw that does not complement the Rider Mashin's design or its color scheme.

"I did not know what I expected, but it was certainly not this." Tadashi commented.

"It's retractable too."

Ikazuchi pressed something on his Risephone and the Rick Shaw that was just installed retracted and formed a sort of thick rail just above the motorcycle's tail light.

"Shall we go?"

"We shall."

Both Ikazuchi mounted the Rise Hopper, with Ikazuchi driving while Tadashi sat behind the driver, holding onto the retractable rickshaw they installed a few moments ago.

As Ikazuchi and Tadashi traversed the city's roads on top of Rise Hopper, Tadashi confirmed Aruto's location via his Zero-One driver.

Tadashi once asked Izu a way to locate Aruto and she found a way for me to track where the Zero-One, and eventually the Zero-Two driver, was last used.

Tadashi and Ikazuchi found both Aruto and Horobi unconscious leaning on each other as they sat upright.

They were in the same place where they fought judging from the damage in the surrounding area and the fact that it looked identical to the place they were fighting when they watched them beat each other to a pulp.

"You take Horobi, I'll take Aruto," Tadashi instructed. "You can do check-ups on Horobi and I'll do the same for Aruto.

Tadashi carefully cut Aruto's clothes in half, revealing the number of untreated injuries and bruises the young CEO had on his body. He could also see signs of starvation and infection on the boy, likely due to the fact that he hasn't eaten since he first went missing after Izu's death.

"Uchuyarou! Hamada!" Tadashi saw the members of AIMS rushing towards them. "How are they?"

"Aruto's not looking good."

"I need equipment to make full diagnostics on Horobi."

"We have AIMS vans parked nearby." Yaiba immediately rushed to wear Fuwa was. "We can rush Hiden to the hospital and Horobi to Hiden Intelligence."

"No," Fuwa shook his head. "There are people who still hold a grudge against Horobi."

"Day Break Town." Ikazuchi nodded. "It's safer there."

"T-take the Zero-One Driver," Aruto managed to groan out as he shakily handed the Zero-One Driver to Tadashi. "It'll protect him from whatever remained of ARK's there."

"Shachou?"

Aruto's eyes closed again as soon as the instruction was delivered with Tadashi holding the aforementioned Driver.

"Don't worry, he's just unconscious," Tadashi assured everyone. "He used all of his energy to give us that instruction."

"To the end…" Fuwa shook his head but a smile adorned his face. "Take off toward your dream, indeed."

"Doesn't mean he's not in danger, he's anything but healthy," Tadashi shook his head. "Wherever he was when he was missing, he wasn't eating and has only been drinking water to survive."

"The question is, was the water he was drinking safe for consumption?" Yaiba stated the obvious.

"Let's move out people!" Fuwa yelled as he gestured for the gurneys he had ordered earlier to come his way.

Tadashi gave Ikazuchi the Zero-One Driver before they each loaded Aruto and Horobi on separate gurneys and rushed them to their respective destinations.

… By how much better the 01 vincinexts coulda been if it was a spy/detective genre about Horobi and Fuwa going vigilante w/ Jin as their smart mouth side kick while Naki and Yua operated in a more official capacity but covertly passed them info and asked them to handle stuff off the books, while Ikazuchi is just periodically already in the establishment like a cat someone fed once.

#Kamen Rider Zero-One #Kamen Rider Zero One #while I have Thoughts about the overall results #the Yua - Naki and the Fuwa - Horobi partnerships are honestly A+ #like let's be real Gai shoulda faced criminal charges and Yua and Naki shoulda taken over ZAIA Jpn #I still don't really associate either w/ AIMS #but Fuwa becoming the new mbjr's token human is too perf ^^ #but for each of them they just… line up perfectly #Yua and Naki are about moving on from their mistakes (Yua's got quite a bit too go but I think she can get there) #and sort of looking towards the future #Horobi and Fuwa are dealing w/ the lasting effects of what happened to them and the parts of their pasts that they're still missing #and are more focused on what they can do in the present and trying to find who they are now #Yua and Naki come across as much more comfortable w/ that #plus you have the similar traumas #Horobi and Fuwa were manipulated and used as weapons and treated as less than people #while Yua convinced herself she was doing it all completely willingly and Naki was so beaten down they just accepted it #there's still plenty to change but I did appreciate the bare bones that was there #I really wish the parallels between AIMS and mbjr had actually been properly dealt w/and explored w/ proper respect #bc they are actually quite Good #Horobi and Naki are such perfect parallels to Fuwa and Yua respectively #and I'm ultimately glad that at least one partnership got realised and the other wasn't as COMPLETELY derailed as I feared #Horobi and Fuwa are my faves and are perf they are meant to be partners #the way they operate just aligns so perfectly #top class vigilante team would like to be saved by #Binary Retro Rider

MBJR WEEK 2024

The door collided against the wall with a loud bang, startling Jin into dropping his flowerpot. Horobi calmly snatched it from the air and handed it back to his son. He watched as Ikazuchi waltzed into the room, Naki following behind; a big, squirming sack draped over their back.

Before Horobi could question them, they already indolently threw the sack to the couch. Not a moment later, a harried-looking Fuwa Isamu tore himself out of the sack, puffing and huffing.

Ignoring Jin’s baleful glare and Fuwa Isamu’s murderous one, Ikazuchi grandly announced. ‘’Iwae! Our time to shine has come once again!’’ before dramatically dropping down on one knee, and presenting Horobi with a sheet of paper on a velvet cushion.

Horobi took the paper and started to read the words out loud.

‘’If this is your show, then why the heck am I here?’’ Fuwa Isamu huffed once Horobi finished reading, still incensed for being unceremoniously kidnapped and sacked from his house.

‘’Because you are our mascot.’’ Horobi replied.

‘’Since when? _!’’

‘’You did not inform Gorilla?’’

‘’I am not gorilla!’’

‘’A.I.M.S. take most of my times.’’

‘’I just return from space.’’

‘’Enough.’’ Horobi stopped them before it escalated. ‘’Let us prepare for the event now.’’

‘’But the event is next year.’’ Fuwa Isamu pointed out.

‘’The earlier the better.’’ Horobi replied and walked out the door, with everyone, Fuwa Isamu included, following behind him. ‘’Writing stories are no easy matter.’’

Beside him, Jin nodded in agreement and then smiled brightly to the readers. ‘’We will wait for your participation!’’ He waved.

‘’Make sure to draw me handsomely, okay?’’ Ikazuchi winked to the readers.

‘’No pressure though, we are here to have fun.’’ Naki reminded.

‘’That is the most important.’’ Fuwa Isamu agreed.

‘’Gorilla know how to have fun?’’ Jin questioned dubiously.

‘’Of course I know. Stop calling me gorilla.’’

‘’You do not even know how to feed yourself properly.’’ Horobi murmured.

Isamu waking up from his Lone Wolf incident and during another mission, he discovers Metsuborjinrai.Net now revived as AI programs on some bad guy’s computer system. He of course rescues them and now the four are part of Hiden Intelligence’s computer programs

Oh Isamu is pissed. He's shaking and absolutely livid. He's probably the angriest he has ever been in perhaps years. All of the work he has done to protect them, let them lie in peace and whatnot has been ruined. He's livid that people would want to use them for evil and almost breaks a whole ass wall when Aruto broke the news in this flurry of a panic, chewing on his nails and stress at an alltime high.

The president is likely beyond angry but he's more so sad. He's sad that MBJR has been reduced to simply tools once again and he worries for them. He cries for them as the empath that he is. He wants to save them so he rallies together Isamu and Yua but before they go to storm the bad guy's home...they both look over at Yua and fear shivers down their spines.

Because Yua is back in college, she's back seeing AI tech hurting people when put into the wrong hands. She's back to feeling helpless. But she's no longer a witness but she can do something now. She can make a fucking difference and the minute she can finally find her rationality again, she's picked up her Shotriser and gripping it until it almost shatters. She storms past Isamu and Aruto (who are lowkey terrified because even though Yua has gotten mad at them both before, they have never seen her with so much bloodlust) and demands in this cold voice, "Let's go."

The boys silently agree that Yua gets the first punch when they topple the bad guy off of his throne and Aruto runs over to the computer to get MBJR outta there. Yua is glaring down at the fucker and he shrinks in fear before she hisses out, "If you know what's good for you, never do this again." then walks over calmly to Aruto to help as though she just didn't practically throw a man untransformed. The poor president is praying to whatever God thats out there that he's thankful for being on Yua's good side.

Isamu is next, smirking as he helps the other stand before punching him in the gut to knock him out. "That first punch was for Metsuboujinrai." he hisses out to them as their lights slowly dim, "This one is from Yaiba and I."

But now that the four of them are reunited in Hiden's computers, they're basically that one tumblr meme of the one google doc that has like famous authors helping to write out stories and shit and arguing with each other at the same time like Shakespere, Charles Dickens, etc.

their voices and instrumental mixed together make me SO sentimental and then i read the lyrics and it’s like my heart was wrenched out of my chest??!??

i think i almost cried the first time i heard the song LOLL cuz the song reflects mbjr so well and though i’ve only joined the bandwagon like……. a few days ago, they’ve stuck to me and i’m so attached to them and hearing the song and thinking abt them makes me wanna cry and hold them all close to my heart

and personally i feel like mbjr has this…. tragic story about having all the odds against them and having to struggle to rebuild both their environment and themselves, but they don’t wallow in the tragedy cuz they were able to find home and solidarity within each other despite the circumstances. they’re not tragic, because they liberated themselves, they reclaimed their lives, they rebuilt a home despite the crumbling foundations. there’s still some cracks here and there, but they’ll be there to hold their home together.

AND LIKE. it’s not all perfect. they fight, they argue, they have turbulent relationships sometimes, and other times they need the help of other people even though it sucks to feel so helpless. and there’s also tjat whole thing with the ark. but they made it out, and they’ve got each other. and that’s LOVELYY.

AAHHAGDHS i love their singing voices, i love the sentiments, i love the melody, i love the lyrics, i love mbjr so so much
