    henry wished that he could say that he had arrived in the small city for the peace and the quiet. with the rolling hills in the far off distance, stark spires against the azure skies and the mounds covered in forest, the beauty of the place was captivating with all of it's night sounds of prey and predator. even the city itself held another kind of beauty to it, a monstrous heartbeat surrounded by nature. it would have been a good place to take a break, perhaps finish his latest novel in time for easter break but life had a means of stripping even the most grand of places of it's pleasure.

one of vicki's cases had brought her to the city. some unknowable creature lurking int he city had begun preying upon it's people. mutilated college students on camping trips, missing homeless and even an attack at a crowded bus station. no witnesses and with the media catching on it seemed only a matter of time before the creature risked exposing all those that lurked in the shadows of the night out into the light.

vicki, investigating during the daylight, and henry given the chance to put his own hunting skills to good use at night. so here he was, armed with only his charm and a temporary card gifted to him by his partner with visible discomfort. henry couldn't help but smile, amusement dancing across his features as he eyed the card within his hand. 'henry fitzroy. private investigator. vicki nelson investigations'. along with vicki's office number stamped in simple black against a cream card. the card itself would not get him much in way of law and public servants, but it did help to present some idea of professionalism and credentials, even if it was bending the truth somewhat henry figured his almost five hundred years of experience counted for something.

    henry entered the city hospital, having already had his fill of blood from the vein before vicki turned in for the night to rest, the patients and it's staff had nothing to fear of henry's hunger. the thirst satied for the night at least allowed him to move through the hospital corridors with purpose and without distraction. there were two survivors of the latest attack, if he could speak with even one of them he may be able to gain information that could point to what kind of creature was hurting these people and perhaps, if their minds were open to it, he may even ease some of their pain.

         " excuse  me. "  henry had long since learned how to sound both polite and commanding all at once. royalty added into centuries of experience weaving into his voice as he approached the doctor in the hall. there would no doubt be local police on the doors to the victims rooms but he knew how to get past them without bloodshed or idle threats, for now he wanted information on the wounded, names, the extent of their injuries. perhaps even insight as to whether or not they suffering from poison or venom, anything that might close the gap of what had harmed them in the first place. 

" i'm  sorry  for  interrupting  dr.  fell,"  fell. the name conjured memories from the eighteen hundreds and henry had to quickly douse them before recognition could show on his face. he smiled instead,  " my  name  is  henry,  i  work  with  vicki  nelson  investigations,  we've  been  hired  by, richard  clemons,  a  family  member  of  one  of  the  first  victims.  can  i  trouble  you  for  a  moment  of  your  time? lol  yes.  he  would  absolutely  turn  meredith  if  given  the  chance.  meredith’s  managed  to  make  it  onto  the  very  short  list  of  humans  that  have  impressed  kol,  not  to  mention  the  fact  that  he’s  very  fond  of  her  and  currently  isn’t  entirely  sure  how  fond  of  her  he  is  yet.  depending  on  how  fond  of  her  he  is,  kol  could  actually  take  meredith’s  own  feelings  about  becoming  a  vampire  into  consideration  before  doing  anything  –  OR  if  he  decides  he’s  not  too  fond  of  here,  he  would  turn  her  out  of  purely  selfish  reasons  in  wanting  to  keep  her  around  for  another  couple  of  centuries.

  owen  doesn’t  even  really  come  into  consideration  at  all  on  whether  or  not  kol  would  turn  meredith  since  he  only  cares  about  owen’s  life  currently  because  meredith  does  and  that  only  extends  to  owen  staying  alive.  in  kol’s  mind  making  meredith  a  vampire  would  help  owen  since  she  would  live  forever  &  be  physically  stronger  and  faster  in  order  to  protect  his  life.

tbh  currently  at  this  moment,  kol  wouldn’t  turn  her  but  chances  are  that  a  little  further  down  the  line,  he  would  without  flinching.
