Ok everyone.... its been a very hard-fought battle for our Ravenwood students.... but the results are in!!!! Wizblr's handpicked ravenwood student blorbo is.........

This was actually a pretty tough battle! Malorn was definitely the crowd favorite but penny didnt go down without a fight. Malorn won with 34 votes (58.6%) to 24 (41.4%)!!!

Now.... a full ranking of every student's placement in the polls!!! (For rounds w multiple people in different matches, whoever made their opponent fight the hardest gets ranked higher.)

You know something I've kinda wished we had in Wizard City in particular is like. Our wizard being main homies with supporting characters

So like of course everyone knows I love Nolan Stormgate but what about Penny Dreadful and Mindy Pixiecrown and Malorn Ashthorn and Susie Gryphonbane and (pre-updated) Ceren Nightchant. Even in the Old Tutorial they were pretty charming characters for like the one or two minutes we spent time with them and they were involved with some pretty important quests lore-wise and there were some little inklings of like a bond between them and The Wizard by the time we parted. But we like Never See Them Again and that slightly upsets me

Y'know how Wizard101 likes to have returning NPCs from other worlds appear like every 10 years so like. Can we do that with the original Wizard City gang??? In my personal opinion I am a SUCKER for "blasts from the past" and Kingsisle has definitely done some of those, can't we just have a few quests where we meet up with all of them again. Like all sitting at a lunch table in the school we all attended together before The Wizard was diagnosed with Main Protagonism and we've all obviously grown up a bit since the first arc. You guys don't understand how much I would CRY snot and tears,

#mainly i just am a big ol' sucker for established friendship dynamics #'hey remember how you helped me get into death school :)' young woman penny dreadful says to us #wizard city will always be one of my favorites (mostly due to nostalgia but anyways) #id like to see the story become more 'full circle' and have more of our roots tied to the place where we all started #LIKE DONT GET ME WRONG I KNOW THAT HAPPENS IN THE GAME SOMETIMES #like The Scion arc and shit #and darkmoor and the beginning of mirage (our graduation..... anothwr emotional moment) #but please please please.... let us see the original skrunklies again #duncan grimwater was a disappointment. we need friendship goals #honestly i just. love penny dreadful in particular she's everything to me #and the 'greetings :)' ceren nightchant will akways live on in my heart #wizard101 #w101

Yk for a Life main you sure like writing about the Death Dudes TM

Not that I'm complaining lol

What can I say? I love the Death Dudes (TM)! Especially Duncan. There's a lot to him that can be explored - not that the other students are the same way, however they don't have the same VIBE Duncan does, both pre- and post-FTUE. You really have to try hard with, say, Ceren Nightchant or Mindy Pixiecrown, to infer what their motivations/goals are beyond their brief appearances. Duncan just comes out the gate swinging full force: I WANT MALISTAIRE BACK AND IF HE'S HURT YOU'RE DEALING WITH ME!!! Duncan has so much potential, he's really fun to make stuff up for (even if it's a little... ahem, saj or angsty).

Which makes bouncing him off the kind, caring, and determined Malorn all the better. How I write him, he's both Duncan's friend and also his conscience, always trying to steer him down the right path. Malorn doesn't want his friend to spiral, but he also has to learn that he can't just solve someone else's issues himself. If he wants to be a Professor, he has to learn how to guide even the most unwilling of people out of their darkness. With this type of pairing, they make for decent foils.

Besides, I think they'd just be close friends always there for each other at the end of the day, no matter what :)

in an attempt to deal with the ghosts roaming unicorn way, professor lydia greyrose sent in the highly destructive gobblers to take care of the issue. once summoned however, the creatures refused to leave, and eventually took over colossus boulevard. and thus merle ambrose calls upon the help of the young wizard yet again to assist with another bubbling problem, this time around requiring the help of mindy pixiecrown to reclaim this snowy street

Roland Silverheart

Derrick and Roland are the oldest of the wc kids (even including Malorn) and like talking to each other. They met during a pvp match doing 2v2s, and were impressed by how coordinated they were

Roland and Diego regularly duel, and though he doesn’t pvp the average wizard anymore, he’s always willing to give out tips

Rich basic white boy

Derrick Blaze

Animal person

Helps with the team up system out of a genuine desire to see people succeed

(Pretty sure Derrick was added as part of a make a wish thing and as I don’t know much about the circumstances behind it I didn’t want to add too much)

Dorothy Gale

Dorothy is one of those popular kids who skips school a lot

She and Ceren grew up on the same street

A year older than Ceren, never really liked him

She likes to pop off and go to other realms that aren’t wizard city sometimes

Would have probably been the young wizard in an alternate universe

Ceren Nightchant

He’s one of the newer students of Ravenwood. He joined around the time the undead started coming back, so he never got to really see it before everything went downhill

He grew up on Unicorn Way, so when there was an opportunity to formally investigate it, he immediately jumped to the task

Ceren is good at doing voice impressions and likes to make people think he’s british

Penny Dreadful

Penny collects music scrolls (Her name is a music reference)

Penny fell into Nightside once. Malorn had to fish her out, but she briefly met Marla due to the encounter

Penny likes to talk to Marla - Marla hates this

She tried to learn to garden - it went better than people thought it would

Her dorm room is full of pets

Marla Stinger

Marla likes Nightside because most people don’t know it exists. She thinks Mortis is cool

She’s definitely a night owl

Defeat and collects are the bane of her existence

She’s friends with Mindy Pixiecrown, and they probably shared classes at one point
