Look how much Destiny has grown!!! She weighed in at a whopping 1.16kg today!!! Destiny came in to my care 12 weeks ago and weighed a meagre 400 grams. Since then we've battled cat flu, spirochetes, coronavirus, and failure to gain weight. But she's finally turned the corner in her health and should be ready for her spey surgery and microchip in 2 - 3 weeks time. Scaredy Cats. I think it takes a special kind of person to foster scaredy cats. You need a bottomless well of love and patience, and you need to be prepared to commit long term. Months. Years. Miracle came into my care last November - Supanova Saturday to be exact - after being rescued from a horrendous hoarding situation. It's taken her almost 5 months to learn that people can be safe and not every human wants to hurt her. Two nights ago she slept with me on my bed, curled up between my feet, for the very first time. This morning she decided laps are nice ad warm and comfy.
