so, you heard about a silly little server called lifesteal. maybe u wanna try watching it. well what if i told u that we here at lifestealblr have put together a helpful guide to help you succumb to the poisons start watching the server?? join us we are very normal

so! lifesteal! first, a summary. lifesteal is a server where when u die, you lose a heart off your permanent health bar. when you kill another player you gain a heart. heres a list to sum it up:

dying loses you a heart

killing someone else gains you a heart

losing all your hearts = dead and gone from the series, unless youre revived

you can revive dead players through gay sex crafting a special item

you can withdraw hearts from your healthbar and give them to other players

still have questions? heres a better explanation. ok moving on

lifesteal smp has FOUR seperate seasons so far!! the players are the same, give or take a few people. so, where to start?

first, you don't need to watch the seasons in order. you don't need to know anything about previous seasons to watch lifesteal. start with whatever season you want!! that being said, i'd advise starting on season three or season four (the current season) as they are the most popular.

tell me about horror smp rn

MY BELOVED!!!! HELLO!!!!

Before I start, context! Horror SMP is a minecraft SMP-based work of fiction that is a collaborative project between me (hi!) and my girlfriend (manicpixieautism). It started due to some unholy combination of my newly-developed lifesteal special interest and sasa’s minecraft special interest coming back from the dead. The premise as a whole is very similar to lifesteal, but with our own little twists and tricks. Now, for the fun part!

The horror SMP is a world full of backstabbers, traitors, killers, and generally unpleasant people to be around. There’s no real story on how it came to be (yet), but it very quickly gained a roster of nineteen members with varying skill sets, people who found out that they are fundamentally incompatable as a long-term working group. This is where things start going south. Betrayals happen, murders happen, a glitch in the world has the heart system functioning in ways it shouldn’t, and all of a sudden the joking name of horror smp burrazz (the admin) gave the world becomes a lot more sinister. There’s no coherent storyline drafted yet, but if there were one, it would probably make the most sense for it to start upon the newest arrival’s entrance to the server.

The current doc tagline is you become what you fear. embrace it, or it will destroy you and quite frankly I think it suits what we’ve been doing with the project so far. A lot of what we’ve been working on is characters and how they develop and grow (more like regress amiright), and some patterns that have been noticed are in fact people becoming things they never thought they’d be. Prime example is Lae, someone known for their loyalty and trust slowly becoming jaded and vengeful towards their (former) teammates, and m0thbl00d, who likes to follow people until Moth’s following becomes. A little too devoted, and Moth ends up getting lost in a downward spiral of deification. Shit you don’t think you can become is the shit you end up becoming and all of that!

I would talk about the cast, but bro. There’s twenty people and I’m pretty sure we’re still noodling around with potential ideas for more (largely because I can’t keep a cast small for the life of me, and sasa is a BRILLIANT enabler). If I had to choose though, my favourites would be:

moraxXX (he/him) - the executioner. the best fighter on the server and horrifyingly single minded. he’s such a fucking method actor, he can’t just call himself an executioner, he has to very slowly build a whole medieval village around a guillotine and have a modified version of executioner’s garb on all the time.

wiggle0X (ve/he) - the bastard. for the love of god, please don’t trust the username. ve sounds like a jester and a silly man but he can genuinely be considered a war criminal. ve breaks the geneva convention for fun. little bastard screams all the time and leave chaos in his wake.

solardustplays (she/her) - the phantom. her moniker is actually a fun little tidbit of information, because for all the server knows, she could be part phantom. she’s known for orchestrating phantom and charged creeper attacks, and most of the server has a betting pool on if she’s a creeper or phantom hybrid, but she refuses to let them know the answer. primarily works with a trident, which is an odd style of PVP but it suits her very well - unconventional and not one to go for traditional duels. it also allows for quick escapes.

keeneisinnocent (she/they/he) - the communist. look, man. I’m not sure how to explain my obsession with her, but it’s deserved. they spend half their time fucking with the one percent of the server (how what’s essentially an anarchy server even has a top 1% is beyond me but. it’s there), and baiting the person they consider to be the worst proponent of riches. he’s a firm believer in redistribution of wealth, and as such is prone to leaving entire storage systems out in the open with a take what you want sign. Daymay666 (who is mutual mortal enemies with Keene) is unsure how the fuck Keene keeps breaking into her house and leaving blood all over her floors, but one day she will find out and kill Keene for real.

jeremyuhhh (he/him) - the normie. he’s the only normal one on this server. it’s so funny. local allocishet gets dropped into a server of murderous queers and spends his time doing regular hardcore world things while being completely ignorant of the mass chaos going on around him. not too shabby if I do say so myself.

Other honourable mentions are m0thbl00d, daymay666, OrynAsellus, flare0515 and Zed, but I think if I talked about them, this post would be miles long. Thank you my beloved girlfriend for enabling the fictional blockmen obsession because GOD I love these wretched fools

do u have a favorite little guy? do u want more people to know about your guy? well i have a proposal for you!!! i'd like to make a masterlist with links to propaganda for every lifesteal member. and i'd like you to help, if you want to!!

so what do you need to do? pretty much, just tell me all about Your Guy!! who are they? why should i watch them? how can i watch them?

general guidelines: first, please include the following (in no particular order): 1. where do they make content? do they stream? do they make youtube videos? which do they MOSTLY do? do they make a good mix of both? (for example, branzy is mostly a youtube creator! subz is mostly a streamer!! reddoons does both) 2. what style of videos do they make? LONG videos with a long time in between uploads, like clown? or SHORT videos which are fairly frequent, like rek?

3. where do you reccommend a new viewer should start? maybe link one or two videos that are a good intro to your lifestealers' content!!

4. please include a link to their LIFESTEAL playlist as well as their youtube channel. if you would like to, please feel free to link their twitch/any other links of theirs.

5. your post should be EASILY READABLE!! please avoid large blocks of text if you can. this is NOT 100% required, but i would reccommend it!!

other than that, go wild!! do your best to market your guy to me. tell me what diseases they have ^-^ (/silly). basically, explain why i should watch your guy!!

so who is branzy, you ask. branzy branzycraft is a gay catboy with zero pvp ability and a killer clown boyfriend ^-^

the first thing about branzy is he's Not A Fighter. do note he's not Completely helpless, he Can fight if he Needs To. he's probably a pretty decent pvper! however compared to the rest of the lifestealers he's definitely below average when it comes to pvp.

so what Can the wet cat branzy do? he can do redstone, and trick people, and tell stories!! branzy is very theater kid (he's DEFINITELY a web avatar, if you know what TMA is. if you don't, tl;dr he likes manipulation).

branzy likes to figure out people's weaknesses and exploit them. he's well known for his clever traps!! and he's a fairly good redstoner. he helped build a funhouse with shifting walls and a trap that drops ppl into the void.

so where can u find him? branzy has a twitch, but never streams. his content is mainly on his youtube!! he makes videos that are basically minecraft gameshows as well as other minecraft challenge videos with his friends, he does 100 days videos, and ofc lifesetal, as well as another series called echocraft [s2, s3]!!

branzy usually uploads every 2-4 weeks, and his videos are usually about 10 minutes long, although certain types of videos (challenges, specials, collabs) can be up to 20-30 minutes long.

stares at you. do you have any tips on how to make a good lifesteal propaganda post (am struggling with how to format all the information)

okay. sorry it took me a bit to think of an answer to this but uh i will do my best to give advice??

Don't overcomplicate things. As tempting as it may be, avoid making references to things that you haven't directly explained, because that just ends up being confusing.

Keep things readable. I'm used to doing this for my fics, so I just translate that to the propaganda posts, but break things up into small paragraphs. Even if you have information that COULD be one paragraph, if it starts to get too long then add a paragraph break. Maybe this is just an ADHD thing but I find it easier to read things with lots of shorter paragraphs rather than fewer, longer ones.

You can type things very informally/casually if you'd like (no punctuation, numbers instead of letters, abbreviations like LOL, emojis, etc) but I would say it's generally a better idea to keep things a bit more formal (in terms of writing. I'm talking about formal vs informal writing, to be clear. Not like, being professional).

Know your audience. These posts are being written to get people into Lifesteal, and it's best to assume that your audience has no prior knowledge of Lifesteal*. It's probably safe to assume that they know the basics of what Minecraft is and what SMPS are, so don't waste time explaining that. But, for example, if you were going to mention Branzy and Clown's casino. Take a few sentences to explain what that is, because your audience probably won't know about it.

Pick out a few things you want people to know about your Lifestealer, and stick to that. Don't overwhelm your reader. For example, with Branzy, I wanted people to know three things. One: he does redstone. Two: he likes traps. Three: he isn't a fighter. So I briefly explained each of those things and gave a few videos/projects of him that best showcased those things.

Tell me why I would want to watch your lifestealer. All of this is great, but why do I care about this guy? Make me want to watch your guy.

Optional advice, and this is totally a personal preference, but I love when posts are color-coded. Right here in this post I've highlighted in green the main takeaways of each bullet point!! Also, I like to color in links, they just look neat. Again, this one isn't a neccessity but it's fun to do!!

This one's for my writer friends, and I don't think I'm going to be able to explain it very well, but I think propaganda posts work best when you write them in a friendly, welcoming tone. If you don't know what I mean, feel free to ignore this. But I like to write them as if I'm talking to a friend. "Hey, hi, I really like this thing, and here's why I like it, and here's why you should too! And here's how you can watch it! Look, I put it in a neat little list for you, isn't that exciting? I know, I love it too!" (this might be an adhd thing not sure lol)

*You do not have to explain the heart system. I have a post that will do that for you. It will be linked on the masterpost for this project (which is unfinished because not all the propaganda posts have been written).

so unfortunately i have run into a bit of an issue in that all three of you have overlapping requests for reddoons and ashswag. i have two proposed solutions and i'd like your thoughts

core would like to take ashswag, bear would like to take reddoons, and cherny wanted to do both. core has already made a post about mid, so i was thinking of letting bear take red and chery take ash, which would let you each do one of them.

alternatively, if any of you have a different lifestealer you'd like to do instead, please reach out.
