A fun little timeline of the Lion's Mane spray & grow kit from North Spore. This guy fruited so quickly! I'm pretty sure it took less than two weeks to get this big! ( I'm pretty sure I started it on March 6th and harvested it on the 16th).

Anyway, I put a light coating of seasoned flour on these guys after slicing them up. I then put butter in a pan on med heat (you could also use olive oil). I let the shrooms get brown on both sides. 10/10 would eat again. It really tasted like fried seafood.

I wanted to post some update photos of this oyster mushroom grow kit that my mom got for me a couple of weeks ago! I had actually just about given up (it’s only supposed to take about 10 days but it was about 15 days for us), then two days ago I saw something pinning so we continued to water it and BAM!

Little oysters the next day!

These photos are from today. Their growth will be explosive from here on out so I’m excited to see what their final cultivation size will be!

The novelty of these is fun, but you typically don’t harvest enough to make the costs of these kits worth it unless you undertake trying to propagate your own spores. Doing that requires a lot of research, though, so if you’re interested in cultivating mushrooms this could be a good place to start!

Bought myself one of these bad boys four days ago because I was bummed out about getting a bad tick bite. I'm surprised by how quickly this grew! I don't even eat mushrooms much, but they're really cool and it's great dopamine to watch!

Think I might give one of these kits to a friend of mine who's a cook and likes these kinds of kits, like Sea Monkeys
