dumping my thoughts here, need to get them out

so morax is “dead” and stuff, so imagine there is like a new archon for some reason (that celestia sent because zhongli retired or whatever, idk how they do things) and this new archon literally doesn’t even know where they are and what they’re supposed to be doing and stuff, and ofc they’re a dragon too (idk where this is going but hear me out) and zhongli just finds this child that looks and acts eerily how he acted before he was the geo archon (he was feral i’m pretty sure) and has like dragon habits or whatever (idk what he does) so he decides to raise this thing and idk, i just needed this gone from my head

first of all, seeing this... little fledgling act so similar to a distant memory of his past would give poor old zhongli the epiphany of a lifetime. the kind of epiphany that would have him observing the newly-appointed archon quietly in curiosity — his mindset and ways of executing things have taken quite the shift since then. morax has no choice but to follow the change of time, after all; yet, to see the reminiscence of his past manifested into a piece of the young fledgling's self, who is he not to take it fondly?

as such, this topic would definitely be one thrown commonly around among the adepti whenever all of them gather.

Alright, alright, this has been in my mind for a little while now with Alhaitam and Cyno of wHAT IF— Reader is a fugitive (wanderer)? (Alias like Kazuha) that she scaped from their nation and go to Sumeru, they get to now the boys and all and alas! They got a crush on reader but then comes the problems and they know of reader's true "colors"? (In here it could be that the Akademy knows about this and sent someone to hunt reader from whatever reason yo could like and it COULD be Cyno and Alhaitam) I kinda think that both of them would feel betrayed or somethin'.

ANON, YOUR BRAIN?? betrayal trope is really smth else, hhhhh. but take the truth to the reader's actions with a grain of salt since the akademiya itself is corrupt. so, it can either be that the reader really has done atrocious actions or the akademiya has set them up in a way! >:) but as to how these two would react to betrayal...

cyno wouldn't show it, but he'd have a harder time accepting it all. he needs time to process the information that has been laid out in front of him... the general mahamatra is hesitating, what a rare occurrence. but it's only because as he reads about your past actions, the truth you've been hiding; those matters differ so much from the you he that he knows. the you that he knows and at some point, loves. no, he wants to hear it from you himself — "tell me the truth. no more lies, this time," cyno mutters quietly, his weapon poised in your direction. was it your imagination or did you catch a glimpse of desperation in his eyes? desperation for you to deny everything, to tell him that those words on the documents aren't true, to save the last pieces of hope he has in you. please.

alhaitham is fast on his feet. it doesn't take him long to follow your trails; "you were careless, as always," the scribe hums snarkily as he tosses a coin into the air, snatching it with an odd air of suppressed aggression. his stare, his tone, his movements, the way he looks at you — so cold, so guarded. this is a moment of realization for you; this is how you know that whatever ounce of trust he used to have in you is nothing but useless dust now. alhaitham can't believe he was stupid enough to relent to the emotions he felt towards you. it was his fault, he should've never trusted you. rest assured this will never happen again, rest assured you are now dead to him.

ah, yes, the shortie with anger and mommy issues himself. anon, be honest, do you actually want this man as your older brother because i'd be concerned (/j).

1) communicating through insults. if there is ever such a thing as an allergy to speech, he'd definitely be allergic to each one besides sarcastic remarks and jibes. that is the language he is most fluent in, alright? deal with it.

2) concern hidden in plain sight. he looks out for you from afar such as dispatching a subordinate to report your status to him without your knowledge or making sure that there's nothing in your way — he plays it off, though. scara claims it's because he "can't trust you for one second", but it really is because he's a little worried that you're getting roped into some stupid trouble.

3) the mommy issues... he'd prefer if you don't, or better, never bring up that god in any conversations with him. he doesn't want to be reminded of her in any way, he doesn't need words of comfort nor can he offer them to someone else, even you. all he can do is to let you deal with them on your own because that is how he deals with his feelings on that wretched event in his history. (wdym sibling therapy sessions? nah, we don't need that <3 /j)

Random Ayato hc I made a while back bc you’re conveniently married to him, and because why not? 😌

I think Ayato would find it incredibly endearing if you rope him into doing “childish” activities, like skipping giddily through an open field or dancing underneath the rain until both your hair and clothes are soaked. Although admittedly cliché, these moments are a wistful reminder of fond and carefree memories from years gone by. As such, they are precious to him, and he holds them close to his heart with steadfast devotion. For with you, he finds he is able to rekindle the wonder and innocence he believed had been left behind in his fleeting childhood so long ago.

^^^Slight allusion to his backstory as well since I feel it’s often overlooked/underrated. His character stories are insanely well-written and really portray his values and just who he is at the core. I could seriously go on and on about how good they are adkdsjkd 😭

AGHHHHH this is so beautiful i am holding back from malfunctioning!! first thing first, we shall not talk about such a minor detail that is my marriage of convenience .... my loyalty might have changed places, but it is still there 🥸

secondly — and i really, really need to inhale a deep breath for this — I AGREE!! ayato's backstory isn't as crazy deep as characters like ei or wanderer, but it fits because he isn't a character related to immortality and i think his story does a good job telling the story of someone who is in constant spotlight since childhood from a realistic perspective :(

this man's sense of (weird /j) humor will always be precious to me !!! i love how only those closest to him know about it which means they're the only ones he puts down the 'politician' persona around and can freely express himself with. not to mention, it must've been a lot for him when he had to 'grow up quickly' when his father died and he had to take on responsibility of cleaning his clan's name ... i wish this part was told more during his story quest <//3

So I've been thinking, there's a bunch of animal people in teyvat, but i don't think razor has ever actually met any, so I'm thinking, how would the bestest boy react to a wolf-human reader?

so true, razor is the bestest boy <3

first thing first, he'd sniff you as a way to identify and familiarize himself. although your scent is a foreign one, razor doesn't find himself recoiling. you look kind... and you're just like him! his curiosity about you is so piqued he even starts to circle you like a vulture, except he's more akin to a vulture with puppy eyes.

are there more people like the two of you outside wolvendom? where did you come from? why has he never met you before? lots of questions, but speaking is hard... so, razor hopes you can still understand him without having to use words.

the wolf boy is happy to see another one of his kind, but he can't shake off the feeling of realization that comes to him and it's a melancholic one.

you have wolf ears and a tail... you're a real wolf, razor is not. it's fine, he thinks about these sad things and us

if the reader lives in mondstadt, then i give my prayers because that city is full of those dandelions and blowing breezes that would spread the pollen everywhere!

at first, venti raises a concerned eyebrow at you, "oh? is the wind bothering you?" but the more you sneeze, the more he gets the urge to laugh.

So! What's your favorite genre for a fic? this could either go for, as a reader, what kind of genre do you usually consume, or as an author, what genre do you think you write for more? or what genre do you think you can write more confidently? :D

personally, as you may have guessed with my previous request, I like angst- and a LOT of it :''D (hurt no comfort is a guilty pleasure)

Though I may not be an author, whenever I try to write something down, I think I'm more in tune to writing for something angsty (go figure)

but you don't need requirements to be able to call yourself a writer! you only need a spark of imagination, motivation and an outlet (be it a piece of paper or a screen to type on) — and you're good to go! being a writer doesn't mean you write well in the eyes of people, you just write and you're already a writer imo !! <3 and so true, hurt with no comfort is smth else. your request gave me a revelation fhejdkkskd and if you have more angst, feel free to share if you're comfy 👀

[ rambles about character studies ft. ayato and heizou why is it always these two under the cut !! ]

for your question! as a reader, i usually gravitate to character studies fics that deal with or highlight said character's personal struggles; like a fic about xiao feeling afraid that he's opening up to the reader (a sense of vulnerability which is something xiao dislikes canonically). it could be fluff or angst or hurt with or without comfort! i'm just an absolute sucker for character studies <//3

meanwhile as a writer, i prefer domestic headcanons/reactions because i can sneak hints of my characterizations in the way they respond to certain things. after all, there is always something uniquely minutiae to each character.

as an example, if you ask heizou and ayato for a kiss, both of them will share the same initial reaction which is amusement but then, the reactions differ. heizou will indulge in that feeling a bit more, jesting by leaning in and pulling away at the last second with the biggest chuckle (dw, he'll give you a proper kiss afterwards!). ayato also has the urge to tease, but he wastes not another second before indulging you whilst his thumb finds comfort in gently rubbing your knuckles along to a silent rhythm in his mind.

they are both known to have a penchant for teasing; but ayato only exudes this side more unrestrainedly around certain people he's comfortable with while heizou retains it regardless of those around him. despite how similar they seem at surface-level, they have their own backstories that lead to habits that differ them from each other, even by the smallest margin — and that's what i like! to explore that little corner of differences to bring out unique traits in each character i write.

tho, pros come with its cons and one of them includes getting dragged into his dilemmas with mora — so, there may be times where you're just leisurely strolling through liyue and a vendor would call out to you, talking about how a dashing man has directed his bills to someone whose description matches yours exactly. ah, truly he is. albedo is a complex character that sometimes, i struggle with deducing what could be going through his mind — but that's what makes studying his character all the more enjoyable! i eat up his lore like they're roasted skewers.... (/pos)

what if albedo does manage to revive you but at the cost of his soul? the second when you awake, there is a heavy feeling present in your chest as it weighs you down. you breath, but it feels wrong.

no, you can still remember.

the pain that struck your body, the forlornness you saw on his face that day as he held you. no, you're not supposed to be here.

you're not supposed to be breathing, you stopped a long time ago. so, why are you alive? the way your heart thumps inside your chest feels like a dream.

"you're awake."

you glance to meet those very same teal eyes you've stared into so many times before. albedo, you want to cry out and embrace him but you can't find the strength to lift your limbs.

he extends his hand to your cheek, "shhh, it's okay. welcome home, [Y/N]." a soft caress but his hand lacks warmth, it's strangely cold.

your intuitions scream at you; they begin to claw at you from the inside. something is off and you can't place your hands on it as you rack through your hazy mind. so many questions you want to ask, so many things you want to say — until the moment your gaze drifts down from his mesmerizing eyes to his neck.

the diamond marking.

it's not there.

'albedo' smiles, "what's wrong, hm?" oh-so innocently he does but you're not comforted by it, not one bit.

fear paralyzes you by storm but you manage to inch away from him. no, he is not your albedo.

growing weak has its disadvantages but to bring you, albedo is willing. yet, at the same time, one of those disadvantages includes a predator hiding in hindsight, waiting for the right moment to pounce. now that the oh-so perfect subject has let down his guard, it's time for the discarded one to shine now.

tldr: albedo has grown significantly weaker after reviving you and primodial albedo uses this exact situation to his advantage, overempowering the original and replacing the place he should've gotten.

ah, yes enemies to lovers with heizou ... i am thinking very hard, thoughts are being thunk rn, somebody help. (/lh) heizou and his witiness. his pretty olive eyes. his fluffy hair with that headband of his. bantering with him playfully. taking walks around inazuma and stumbling upon the most random of adventures. i am perfectly alright.
