For this is it, it’s all I am

The Lady of Shallot. 

I’ve served my cause, 

My noble aim, 

My purpose by and by.

A symbol for a lonely knight, 

A saint for Camelot. 

And yet we still know not who I, 

The Lady of Shallot, 

Could be if not a shell to rot,

Perhaps I am and shall to be, 

A Lady of but naught.
