hi! I love your blog. I was wondering if you knew of any Jewish art/folktales from Belarus, or anywhere I could find them. thank you!

Hi! I didn't found jewish folktales specifically from Belarus, but I found tales from Eastern Europe. The book contains not only fairy tales, but also comments on them, describes the cultural and historical realities of thе time.

It is in Russian but you can use translate.yandex.com (it's better then google translator if we speak about russian-english translations).

18. what do you miss the most?

i miss many things but i think that most of them are included in terms freedom & safety. I miss being able to just go outside without thinking that i can either make someone sick (bcz idk maybe i am asymptomatic?) or that anyone i see can make me sick. i miss not being confined to one place & one group of people. i miss being able to safely meet up with my friends.... i miss being able to go to a party and dance to loud music and have fun with my friends without thinking that everyone around me could be a danger to my health, i miss many more things but these two are the most important and kinda encapsulate many experiences i miss

18. what do you not miss?

i don't miss having to go to places i don't really want to go to, i don't miss the rush, i don't really miss the city centre where i used to be a lot before the quarantine, i don't miss the pressure of having to be PRODUCTIVE all the time, i don't miss the deadlines

25. could you live as a hermit?that’s curious, as much as i love being alone and having some peace from it all, i don’t think i could be completely alone for too long. as for the eat roots and berries and go around doing nothing dressed in an old sack cliche i think i would manage it haha!

26. how would you describe your gender/sexuality? for now like... woman but slightly to the left? and lesbian? i’m still on my discovery journey, comphet is hell!

4, 21?

4: read anything yet? I started reading Liveship traders series by Robin Hobb but I got the french translation so I only read one book so far and am halfway through the second one (reading in french when tired is hard for me). at the moment I’m reading Truth by Terry Pratchett, also idk if that counts as reading if it’s an audiobook but I listened to We set the dark on fire by Tehlor Kay Mejia and now I’m listening to the second part, We unleash the merciless storm! It’s a dystopia with wlw and quite an easy read (easy listening?) :) I started listening to Reverie, but I haven’t finished it yet!

21: how’s your sleep schedule looking? today it’s gonna be bad because I have a test tomorrow for one of my least favorite subjects and I haven’t started studying yet. but generally I try to go to sleep before midnight (on school nights) and 1.00 at night on weekends and wake up around 8.15 on school days and around 9.25 on weekends! i’d say the zoom meetings at regular hours keep my sleep more regular. and i like waking up relatively early to have more of the day to myself!
