I had this thought as I listened to a show critique with my dad.

If you're going to critique a show, movie, or really anything involving physical people. Don't personally attack the actors. Don't go after their physical appearance with the intent to insult them, don't go outside the bounds of the show to insult them. Its just petty and hurtful. It also holds nothing to the show itself. If you feel you need to bring up how an actor looks then you need a damn good reason to do so.

The only time i would think it was "ok" (depending on the context there may be more quotations around that ok) is if:

A. You are going outside the bounds of the show because you want to point out the actor is problematic and should not have been given a platform.

B. You only bring up the physical appearance if its because it is insultingly inaccurate. (Like when the Atla movie hired white people to play characters in a very culture themed world.)

Or

C. The character's costume designe is genuinly shit (still. Thats only the costume. Not body build, skin color, or facial structure)

The thing I was listening to was overall mean spirited. Fucker didn't even TRY to find a positive, and as a long time fan of the show he was critiquing the episode he was complaining about wasn't even that bad. Was it greate? No, it had some odd parts. But was it bad enough he should have called one of the actors "The fucking black fat lady"? absolutely fucking not! Hell, she was one of the characters I really liked! She was fun and sweet! How she looked wasn't even part of his critique! He just threw that in there to be a petty little asshole!

Attacking an actor on a personal level for no good reason other than the fact you didn't like the media they were in is shitty. I'm not going to attack Jenna Ortega because I thought the Wednesday show could have been better. I'm not going to attack anyone in the Hellava Boss cast because I didn't like the direction the show took.

I've just been thinking about this for months. I've wanted to make this post but I wasn't sure how to word it till someone talked about a similar topic in my school. I just think it would suck if I got a role in a popular series and someone decided I was bad because of how I looked. Its just hurtful.

Side note: if your "critique" is just you dog piling the creator with no supporting evidence, no counter point to ballance what you have to say, or no constructive criticism. Its not a critique. You're just being hateful. If you see two similar characters and you just decide its lazy writing without looking into WHY these characters are similar, or how it is important to the story, you are no critic.

I cannot speak fact, but you don't need to be a chef to know when your food tastes like shit. Just like how you don't need to be a professional critic to know when someone is just being an asshole. A good argument, is a well constructed one. Not a slew of baseless insults.

I hope you realise that minimising or ignoring incidents racist abuse just because it happened to Izzy fans is straight up racist. Saying it ‘doesn’t matter’ if Izzy fans get harassed when the harassment in question was (for example) anon messages sent to two black trans people saying they deserved to be hatecrimed for liking Izzy is racist. If you’re willing to cap for fictional POC but not real life POC then your supposed allyship means nothing!

Ok let me help you out here man. I don't minimize or ignore, I just straight up haven't seen it happening to you guys. I go to blm protests when I can and I support the POC that I'm friends with/are in my family irl. And I have been supporting poc in fandom by calling out racism when I see it. It's just that a lot of that racism is coming from one spacific end of the fandom and I'm sorry to tell you it's the Izzy stans. It's not racist for me to focus on the racism I'm seeing. No one should be harassed simply for liking Izzy and no one should experience racism ever. But I can't make any comments on it when I haven't seen it. I'm busy worrying about the harassment being levied at my mutuals of color by racist Izzy stans which I do see because they're my mutuals. If you want to bring it to my attention that's cool I can make a call out post or block and report or whatever but so far I've only been bitched to in vague terms about the harassment that Izzy stans are allegedly receiving. But I have seen a whole lot of racism coming from y'all. I'm going to continue addressing and calling out racism wherever I see it. I don't go out of my way looking for nastiness, the nastiness comes to me. I don't have a magic sixth sense that tingles whenever racism occurs. I can only ever do my best with the information I have, which is what I intend to keep doing. But if you keep coming to me like x y z is happening and then don't give me evidence of even point me in a direction to look for it all I can really say is "wild if true, sorry about that."

That said, I don't know why you guys are so fixated on the anons, man. I've been told all kinds of heinous shit on Anon including anons saying they hope I get killed for being trans. Like it's not ok but it's certainly not Izzy stan or even OFMD community specific. I just fail to see why I should be extra upset about it happening to you guys when it's happening to literally everyone who hasn't turned the Anon function off. I just have chosen not to give a fuck about Anon inbox harassment regardless of who it is happening to (including myself) or what about unless doxxing is involved. Sometimes I respond to it if I think it's interesting or funny to do so but Anons are faceless freaks who literally have nothing better to do than say whatever the worst thing that pops into their brains is and they've realized they can do it without consiquences and if you don't want it happening to you the only solution is to just turn off anon. Like I'm sorry that that's the case but it is. Come back to me when someone says they hope you get hate crimed on main I'll block and report that person but I can't do anything about the anons. If you allow anonymity on the internet a certain subset of those anons are going to be demons who crawled over here off of 4chan and there's nothing I can do about that. Expecting people to get up in arms about that when they're fending off their own anons is kinda self centered idk. Didn't I teach y'all how to turn off anon? it's right there in the settings.

Nah, no reason.

Hell, the username Lepapillonbrise was used before I decided to move here. Though, Lepapillonbrise was a username for an RP account for Yellow, a Pokemon Special character. From the Manga. Yeah, and she's still here on Tumblr.

Unfortunately, my love for the Pokemon Special Manga didn't last long, not as Long as I wanted, and I just... Drifted away.

Though I plan to revive her, unfortunately, trying to remember the email associated with that username would be trouble.

I plan to reblog more, and get into more fandoms, but for now, I guess sticking to Ace Attorney would be best for me, especially since I plan to return to it.

I drifted away from the fandom before, but now that I returned, I don't think I'd lose love for it. Like, ever.

Though, a nice break from the fandom would help me out. So that way when I come back, my love for it would be stronger than before.

So, yeah. No real reason I'm strictly Ace Attorney atm. Heh.

⚠️spoilers for little nightmares 2⚠️

BACK TO BACK OPINION POSTS THIS TIME IN ANOTHER FANDOM!

Six in little nightmares shouldn't be shipped with anyone.

For the first and least supported reason: Six is cold. Yes in the events of LN2 she probably did have emotions they were most likely lost after the events of the signal tower and the maw. She wouldn't love anyone.

Reason 2 (a personal opinion and pet pieve): they are kids, yes they are all within the same age range, i never liked the idea of shipping kids. (Atleast it isnt as bad as pedo ships tho😓)

Reason 3 (now we are getting more spacific): with the Mono x Six ship, to me it always felt like a sibling bond, an older brother protecting his little sister. Also she dropped him in his greatest hour of need sooooo-

Reason 4: Now to tackle Runaway x Six, not ONCE did they cross paths in the game other than the gnome scene and even then she had no idea it was him. Despite populer opinion, the kid who gives Six bread at the beginning of the game is not Runaway, RK was deap in the depths by the time Six got there. Also, there is a very slim chance they met before the events of the game, so there is almost no chance they would fall in love or have a relationship in the first place.

Reason 5: refering back to this post that i made a few days ago, if Mono did escape the tower, he would hate Six, there is little chance of patching up that wound. Aswell as if RK did come back to life, he would be absalutly terrified of Six, most likely also hating her.

Now.. TO LIST THE REASONS SHE COULD BE SHIPPED! (I do enjoy a bit of ship art once and a while, dont judge me)

Reason 1: Mono and Six did have a great bond, and if she didn't drop him it could have become more. Hell, there could have been a good reason for her dropping him. I saw a theory once that said maybe she saw that Mono was the thin man, and she thought that by dropping him she could save him from that fate, unknowingly dooming him to it instead and that idea has stuck with me.

Reason 2: ok, Thin Mono and lady Six could work. They are rational adults, they already knew eachother prior to everything, and they could be like an old married couple and i find that funny.

Notice that i did not mention Runaway in earher of thoughs reasons. Thats cuz i couldn't find a single reason that they would be together, i traveled to the signal tower and back and couldn't find a single reason.
