I see what this anon is saying tho. I get it. I’ve already seen some fans tweet about how he’s going to get an Oscar for this movie. Which c’mon guys, bffr. Like let eveyone make their own judgments/critiques about his performance and personality. It’s tireless to hype someone up beyond the point of rationality. It only incites more hate and more people coming back being like I told you so! I’m someone and I gather most people here share that same sentiment that this man is a talented actor who has a bright future ahead of him. However, he still needs to prove himself amongst other industry greats. And time will truly be the way that will unfold, I hope I’m correct and he keep turning out great performance after performance.
oh, we need to be realistic about it. He’s not getting an Oscar for this movie or likely even gladiator. That’s an insane thing to say. But some fans are going to say that about every single movie he’s ever going to be in.

Thoughts on Apex Tumblr "dying" as someone who left the platform.
So, I've seen people say that the Apex fandom on Tumblr is "dying" and one of the reasons I've seen as an explanation for this is people haven't left the fandom but have simply left Tumblr. This was definitely the case for me personally, so I thought I might give a brief insight into what made me make the shift from primarily using Tumblr to primarily using Twitter for fandom, as a fanwriter in the Apex fandom.
Let me just start by saying this isn't me being dramatic or trying to start anything, it's just my experience - I know others who've had similar ones. Also the tag doesn't look like it's dying to me but I guess I'm not around very much to judge.
1) Interaction on Tumblr sucks in comparison
The big thing every creator (rightly!) complains about. Personally, I have had so much more interaction with my fics from people I've met through Twitter than I've ever had here. I get more shares. The majority of comments I receive are from people I've met through Twitter. I've been invited to participate in community events, discords, collabs...all sorts of opportunities I've never felt I had with Tumblr.
2) I found Tumblr unreliable
This is probably the main reason I left. I started to find Tumblr extremely frustrating to post on. It's finicky with links, fics I fully uploaded here wouldn't always show in the tags, sometimes they would randomly disappear from the tags later in the day. I just found it really frustrating and honestly still do. Yes, I still post stuff here occasionally but it's literally just me posting it and accepting that it's probably not going to do well because it may or may not show up in the tags, even if I repost (and also the RB problem 🤷)
3) Twitter just suits me better as a creator
I've personally just had a better fandom experience over there (I know many will disagree and that's completely fine). But just as a platform I prefer it. Anyone who follows me on Tumblr knows I can jump from one random tweet to a big HC thread within minutes. And I like that. I feel like Twitter works better for my thought processes. I also really like the bookmarking feature for saving posts I like so I can retweet again in future and I absolutely loved fleets for sharing content. It was like a pinned post eveyone could see (but they're leaving soon and I'm sad about it).
Don't get me wrong. There's lots of things I miss about Tumblr. I like being able to make one big post like this. The tagging system is great when it works. It's easier to find content and new people to follow. I miss answering asks and anons.
But overall, my fandom experience on Twitter has just been more enjoyable and made me feel more valued as a creator.
That's pretty much it - a brief summary of why I stopped primarily using Tumblr for fandom.

I am getting annoyed with twitter. I deleted it for a few hours but really wanted to see if someone tweeted about me.But tbh, I am over seeing people tweet their lives. Like every single thought, it is dumb and I really do not care. It is the same 6 people too! And I just do not care anymore. The only reason I still have it is because eveyone does and I do not want to miss out. But at the same time, I do not care lol. I will probably just never go on it and if I get notes then cool. if not then oh well. I am literally at the point where I do not care anymore. My life is so much better than those and I do not need to tweet my every thought or action.
