thank you @sussoro for tagging me!! this was so fun 🩷 tagging @wayhavenots @pierceaugust + anyone who wants to do it!! no pressure <3

FAVOURITE OC: emory chan from merry crisis. also because the qiu brainrot is currently taking over my entire being but yeah. despite the pride emory feels in making her dream as a musician happen, she carries the guilt from knowing it’s not exactly what her parents want for her. she’s the typical eldest daughter who acts as a third parent. another favorite is maya quimby from golden. i wrote a whole list of facts about her a while back so idk what else to say but that’s My Girl. she’s so so special to me <3

NEWEST OC: althea solis from take two. she’s vv underdeveloped right now but in the take two universe, she’s an only child. in an au, she has an older sister named athalia <3

OLDEST OC: sutton hart from midnight hours. before she became an iaos hunter, she was a detective in wayhaven. she’s very ambitious and curious. she’s definitely one of those people who have bucket lists and actually plans to do the things on her list. she felt like wayhaven is too small for her dreams so she left and now she’s in new york

MEANEST OC: cloe hoffman from infamous. idk if i should call her mean but she’s bratty and she complains a lot LMAO literally orion’s nightmare. cloe loves the spotlight and isn’t too bothered being part of the drama as long as attention is on her. because bad publicity is still publicity 🤷🏻‍♀️ she hasn’t done much self-reflection so she’s not yet aware that it stems from her parents not giving her enough attention when she was young. i think once she gains enough self-awareness, she’ll realize that it’s actually her thinking “they didn’t notice me when i was a good kid. maybe they’ll notice me now”

SOFTEST OC: piper ellis from midnight hours. another former detective from wayhaven. she’s a huge disney fan. she keeps tickets (plane, concerts, movies, amusement parks, etc) and pins them on a cork board alongside polaroid pictures. she’s introverted, soft spoken and sooo shy. she’s so easily flustered that she makes nikolas look like the biggest flirt 😭 also kirsten adler from golden. she’s sentimental and timid but less introverted than piper. she’s just self-conscious because she knows that one wrong move and the media will twist it into something that can ruin her dad’s image. she talks nonstop once you bring up something she’s extremely passionate about <3

MOST ALOOF/STANDOFFISH OC: lira kinsley from golden. she’s not a snob but she’s tired of people buttering her up for connections. when she’s moody, she straight up tells the person “my dad’s right there.” she’s selective of who she lets in to her social circle

DUMBEST (AFFECTIONATE) OC: riley cromwell from college tennis. she’s not dumb but clown blood flows in her veins <3 she can be unapologetically cringe lololol one dumb thing i’d say she does is barely controlling her junk food intake and justifying it with “i play tennis a lot. it’s fine”

SMARTEST OC: annika munroe from arcadia city. not because she’s a genius whatsoever. she just reads a lot and constantly tries to stay informed. also because she loves it when people argue with her and the looks on their faces when she ends up being right. she used to be one of my wayhaven detectives as well.

OC I’D BE FRIENDS WITH: sutton. but also because i can put her in any if i play and she’ll end up being friends with someone there 😭 she’s loving, nurturing and thoughtful and she’s very expressive about it. i think it’s also due to having dated immortals (first, nate. now, kian. she likes old men ig) that really put into perspective how short her life is and how quickly time passes. she’s trying to learn how to not overextend herself but sometimes she just can’t help it. being affectionate comes naturally for her

C DeLuca (from Before Dusk Sets In)

I genuinely never realised that I literally created myself in interactive fiction ro form… like, I just had the idea of creating a soft, black ro because I don’t regularly see characters like that in if or just media representation as a whole, so it was nice to create C. So, now I have to give them more characteristics or C literally will be a whole version of me.

B Holden (from Golden)

My first interactive fiction child!! Literally, my whole process of creating B was: ‘I have to create a black character who’s a werewolf, but they’re completely the opposite of the angry stereotype and they have a heart of gold.’ Like, I knew B would be a character that would be in my writing in some capacity — they’re my literal comfort character, and it warms my heart seeing other people like them because they were my least popular ro. Plus, they give amazing hugs and they’d hype you up at every opportunity.

Fun fact: when I was creating B, I was like ‘okay, I love the name Blaise so let’s use that for the male version’. Then I saw another if had a Blaise so I was like ‘let’s use a Blaze’ instead — and my reasoning for not using the first spelling was stupid, but I feel like the Blaze spelling fits their personality more? Something like that anyway.

K de la Renta (from Golden)

As you can see there is a pattern where I’ve been starved of black characters in fiction, howeverrr, K feels more like a complete character to me. If I wasn’t the person who created them and I met them, I would be intimidated, 100%, but they’re so complete in the terms that they have dreams, and fears, and desires, and though the future scares the hell out of them (partly due to their immortality), I think they’re always trying to clutch for good things and good people in life — and they’re so much more than their confident persona, and then just having some belief in themselves to show their complete authentic self to others would be perfect, so I can’t wait to write and show that. Plus… fucking dimples.

L Corrales (from Before Dusk Sets In)

L’s mind is very fun because I think it’s just pure chaos! Like, I genuinely think there’s so much that they think about that it’s enough to keep them excited and just keep them going. I feel like they’re someone that romanticises life, and in general, I think people need more of that. Despite their fears, they joined a gang. Despite their fears, they’re going to fall deeply and madly in love, and despite so much that may go wrong, you miss out on all the chances that you don’t take, so I love their mindset.

P Martens (from Golden)

P may be the ro I think about the most, I think… the main reason being is that I think about Maya Quimby a lot (like, seriously, I’m on my knees for her and I’d take her out so we could be best friends and bond even though I think our personalities are somewhat opposites), but also because I find P to be this soft, ethereal person who just glides through life, and soaks up all their experiences like a sponge and learns from them (apart from the emotional ones, but maybe they’ll work on that…). And they just have this thirst for knowledge, out of the other four, they genuinely would like to attend Lehsa University just so they could learn about stuff from a human aspect.

I think P is a person who’s an ambivert, they love plants, and soft animals, and they’re a hopeless romantic, but they’re suave and confident and they’ll tease you about shit — like, they don’t fit into one box, and I think years ago, there was always this perception that you need to fit into a neat box and have a label — but P is far from that.

maya quimby from golden + her otp and brotps <3

maya grew up feeling neglected. like she’s aware her parents are important people with important jobs but for once she just wanted to be someone’s priority. she doesn’t remember the last time they put her first

i remember labelling maya as my snobby oc because of her lifestyle but over time i fleshed her out and realized she’s really not. she just grew up rich and a bit out of touch with the real world but deep down, she’s very sensitive and despite her lavishly displaying her money, she never does it to make anyone feel like she’s above them. she’s just trying to fill the void that her dad left in her life

i chose phoenix as her ro because out of the four, p always came off to me as the one who’s as rational as they are emotionally intelligent. and maya easily lets her emotions get the best of her; when she gets overwhelmed, she shuts the world out. she needs someone like phoenix who *i think* can understand what she feels but also talk some sense into her and keep her lucid before she mentally shuts down completely

also phoenix and maya are my pairing that i literally did not expect to be one of my angstier otps until mila dropped the pinterest boards and i looked at p’s and saw some pins about how they’re always choosing but never chosen and those are the same pins in maya’s board and i just went “well…. 🥲”

random maya fact to break the angst — she studies law and loves fashion design. she’s like lehsa’s elle woods hehe look up sabrina carpenter’s “sue me” mv and that’s maya <3

OKOK LESS ANGSTY HCS!!!! it actually didn’t take long for maya to develop a crush on phoenix and i don’t blame her because he’s so kind and so pretty with the sexiest brain but maya is soooooo in denial. she’s like “hmm nope. he’s just a nice guy i bet he’s nice to everyone” — in an au where my all golden ocs exist together, kaidan and maya would bond over that because friends who are in denial together stay together <333

at the same time, kaidan and maya would push each other like “dude i’m TELLING you lira’s into you! stop being so fucking blind” “fuck you take your own advice” pls i literally LOVE these two so much i would lay down my life for them (lira is my k-mancer btw)

despite kaidan not being openly affectionate, he deeply cares for maya. he’s actually the first in the team to see right through her “rich girl” front and can sense that she’s really lonely. i think that’s why their friendship works so well. kaidan doesn’t care about her money and that’s exactly what maya wants. someone who genuinely enjoys being around her regardless of her wealth and status

maya also becomes close to blaze because they’re both into fashion. he’s the first member in the team she took to her fashion studio. sometimes she would show him all the best places to shop. on one of blaze’s birthdays, she designs a jacket for him 🥺

in an au where maya and my b-mancer, kirsten, coexist, maya would be the biggest blaze x kirsten shipper shdusksk fast forward to the relationship stage, phoenix x maya and blaze x kirsten go on double dates <3 — side note: phoenix is kirsten’s closest friend in the group

kaidan, blaze and maya are my chaotic three. but sometimes it’s against blaze’s will when kaidan and maya kidnap him for a night out skdjsks this trio makes phoenix get all fuzzy like “aw my girl gets along with my friends 🥹” while asher’s patience is wearing thin LMFAO

ok back to phoenix and maya — so yk how i said she’s in denial right? it’s not that she doesn’t trust him. she wants to because she really thinks he’s a good guy. she just has trust issues in general. the longer phoenix goes trying to get to know her, maya’s urge to flee just gets stronger because she’s so scared of the good thing they have going on and how good it makes her feel but at the back of her mind she knows it’s only a matter of time before it all crashes and burns

this is a tentative hc and it might change depending on how the revelation goes in the game about a and k wanting to kill mc but out of all my golden girls, maya will take it the hardest. she’s already got enough baggage to begin with then you add her finding out about her vampire bestie wanting to kill her just because. and the guy she trusts and is completely in love with kept it from her. and phoenix would probably be so desperate to console her and ask her to hear him out but maya would be so blinded by rage and betrayal at this point that even though she knows phoenix was against asher and kaidan’s choice, it would fly over her head and she’d start asking “why? what did i ever do to you?” and she’d start saying things she doesn’t mean because she’s hurt. so yeah. that shit would send her on a spiral she wouldn’t be able to keep a clear head. we need a therapist in lehsa asap

sigh. ANYWAYS enough angst — eventually, phoenix shows maya some of his earliest and messiest sketchbooks. maya points at one of his anatomy drawings and jokes “this guy would look so good in a [insert piece of clothing]” and if phoenix will let her, she’ll definitely take one of his sketchbooks just to own something that’s his

relationship stage: she definitely steals his sweaters and wears them like an oversized shirt dress. one time blaze jokes about phoenix and maya starting to look like each other and kaidan says “well you are what you eat”

i have this scenario in my head where maya tries to compliment phoenix and tells him he has beautiful eyes and phoenix just ruins the moment like “you’re flattering yourself. we have the same blue eyes” and it annoys her because she was being sincere but he’s not wrong 😭

maya’s not the best at love because she grew up thinking love hurts until phoenix turned out being her safe place. she’s still learning to not be afraid to be vulnerable but she tries her best to show him that the person he chooses this time also chooses him <3

has the bitchiest rbf but it stops being intimidating as soon as she lights her cigarette with her kuromi lighter

addicted to coffee. loves naps

orion being physically active and being sooo disciplined about it is her worst nightmare but still, one of her favorite things to do with him is hiking. i imagine orion taking her along hiking trails that don’t have a lot of people so they can have a little privacy and hold hands and maybe kiss

andrea chung (infamous)

before seven left the band, fans would ship him and andi and label them as sevandi—even though they weren’t dating—which quickly became 70 because it sounded like seventy. fast forward to relationship stage, og fans brought back 70. andi joked about it once: “well they’re not wrong. you are seven and i’m just a zer-” *seven shuts her up with a kiss*

she jokingly gifted phoenix a photo strip of herself with a note written on the back: “in case you need a new bookmark <3” but she wasn’t expecting him to actually use it

my personal ship name for phoenix and maya is “lovebirds” because their names are both related to birds lololol

lira woke up from a nap one time and heard kaidan meow back at cosmo, her cat.

some of her guitar picks have her initials engraved on it and in the relationship stage, kaidan took one. when lira came over at his apartment, she found it on his desk and was like “is this mine?” and kaidan was like “maybe…” and it was only then that she saw a tiny plus sign kaidan wrote on it with a sharpie so it said “L+K”

bianca chan (merry crisis)

literally has no idea what she’s doing with her life. she’s only studying to get a phd because of her parents. she acts carefree but deep down she’s desperate for her mother’s approval

she has a cat named pepper which she brings with her sometimes when she hangs out with shay. shay calls themselves “pb&shay”

sutton hart (midnight hours)

she’s so in love with life but if she was offered a chance to be immortal with kian, she’d refuse. for her, life is precious because it doesn’t last forever. she’s always been expressive of her love for him, never holding back even once, so she believes that when her time comes and she finally has to rest and leave kian, she’s loved him enough
