Not to post about Halloween a couple days late, but I always play ACNH a day or two off.

Apparently the villagers in their houses won't give you candy if you don't wear a "scary" costume? Which I'm taking to mean a costume like the ones they wear. Well luckily for me I bought candy so if I wanna be a sheep, I'm gonna be a sheep!!

Tammy wanted to move off my island so I let her go. She was great to have, I love an uchi villager, but I was looking for some change and was ready to let her or one other move.

And look! I found Purrl! I wanted Purrl! Purrl was in my very first New Leaf town alongside Bud and Coco! Oh, I'm so excited to have Purrl moving in! She was definitely a dreamie! I used a total of 29 tickets, passed up Cherry, Amelia, and Rod (all who would be fun to have for a time) and I am so happy with my choices right now! Now if only Coco would come home someday!

I updated Shiranui's dream address, showing everything I've done since April. It may no longer be in cherry blossom season, but I really like what I've done since then.

My island is absolutely over run in flowers once again, because I can't keep up during the snowiest or rainest seasons. Like, I don't even have the ordnance enacted, I am just constantly over run by flowers. I'm not even breeding for anything anymore.

Someone save me from my flowers.

Whooooo! So Kabuki wanted to leave and I let him because he's fun to have but I don't want to let go of Spike, and I don't necessarily want to always have two crankies

And I found Pashmina! She's totally on the short list of my favorite uchi designs and I'm so excited to have her! I may not let her go to be honest!

Flora asked to move out this week. She was an auto fill, and while I was enjoying her more than expected and liked how I'd decorated her yard, I let her go.

I set out with ten tickets for a really relaxed hunt, just wanting to take someone I liked. And I found Bangle! I hadn't been planning on bringing in another Peppy already, given I just brought in Bonbon, but I like Bangle. It'll be so much fun to have her for at least a while!

But dang, figuring out what I want to put in her yard is hard!

It's been a little more than a year since I started my island and I was going through my screenshots on my switch and deep in my phone's pictures in the last couple of weeks looking for other things and found all of these. Moments where I captured the look of my map as it changed. I thought it would be fun to put a bunch of them together here.

Over Christmas I randomly discovered a purple mum, sitting with my white flowers, including just a couple random white mums that I have no idea where they came from. I wasn't actively breeding for purple mums, as I as actively trying for blue roses and purple pansies. But hey, I'm not turning down random purple mums!

I've been working on getting blue roses since the summer started. And I mean like, actively trying for blue roses, with a fresh start and everything as my starting flower was roses.

Today, I find this. No where near my blue rose producing reds. I don't know where it came from, how it managed to breed itself here, or how I missed the buds over a couple days.

These aren't even roses from seeds, these roses sprouted off the ones I started the island with. What the absolute hell is this???

I've been totally sucked into Splatoon 3, but still checking into ACNH almost daily. Coach asked to leave, so both of my starting villagers have moved out now. It was kind of sad but it opened me up to finally getting a smug back on the island. Or another dreamie. In the end it was a smug! I found Cephalobot! I had a short list of smugs I was hoping for (Cephalobot, Julian, Shep) and was open to whoever pulled me that night but I guess I should have seen an octopus coming!

Also I've been changing my map around quite a bit too. Completely redid my campsite! I cleared the whole area and then spent a full week paralyzed with indecision. But it worked out!

My final bug was the Madagascan sunset moth. No, I'm not entirely sure how I never caught one all of April through August, but I did it! I've never caught all the bugs before!

I have been stalking Kapp'n islands for weeks, first for those pesky 11pm to 8am beetles, and then for the giraffe stag beetle and golden stag beetle - the final two I hadn't found during any other hunt.

I found the giraffe stag last night after about a straight week of spending hours on an island. And today, about to give up and admit that my few extra days in August (turned back my clock because I was gonna miss the Bug tourney due to family things) still wouldn't get me the final bug.

It was on the palm tree immediately off Kapp'n's dock.

Realized that I had Violet ask to move out the other week and made no note of it. I was starting to think I'd let the plot autofill when I stumbled across Mallary and promptly invited her to Shiranui. The snooty I'd love to have permanently is a cat so she's going to be hard to track down but I am loving having Mallary so far. But dude, what is up with the inside of her house???
