London would learn to fear the name Svetlana Vorshevsky, just as Miami had before it.

It was a sentiment she'd had to understand before coming to London. There was nothing that Svetlana wouldn't do to protect and serve her family when the call came. And woe betide anyone who'd dared to stand in her way when she finally did arrive.

Still, that reputation, like many things was fragile.

Svetlana slipped through the throng of sweating bodies crowding the entrance, toking heavily on cigarettes. The pulsating beat of Russian techno echoed through her bones, leaking onto the pavement, Vitaly was hot on her heels, just as he always was. Pulling her fur coat tightly around her, the plush fabric was a shield against the chill. There was one thing she missed mostly about Miami, and that was the fucking warmth.

The Basement was a statement of the mark they were leaving on London. Their footprint, if you will. Slowly, but surely. It was as if people often forgot what they had accomplished over the decades, none of which would've been possible without Konstantin. The basement served as a declaration, as much as intent, and Svetlana relished in its brazen audacity.

This was new territory now, unlike her mother's in Miami. The Vorshevsky name would command respect, and she intended to ensure it was duly given. Stepping through the doors, heat and splashing her face, she felt something akin to dulled fury a light in the lower pit of her stomach when she beheld a group sitting at a table.

"Vitaly," Sveta said, face wholly devoid of emotion, like there was no one home. "Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" her voice slow, yet utterly removed from anything that would give her away. There was no slip, no crack. A solid foundation.

"I sure as fuck am," He was already turning for security, but by the time he turned around, Sveta was halfway across the room. Heading straight towards the table.

"I'd say I was surprised by your idiocy, but then you never were the brightest bulbs in the pack." She paused, raising her brows. "Get the fuck out, before we throw you out. We have paying customers here."

As soon as he lands, however, he keels over as he feels his Light dissipate -- he’s-- he’s never been suppressed before. Sure, Scout’s heard of Guardians who can render another’s Light useless, but normally he’s fast enough to avoid that potential entirely.

He hates it.
