I read your recent fic and have scanned your previous head canons. You don’t appear to like or respect your OH MC (Casey not Tatum). Why write for a book where you think the main character is not worthy? Genuine curiosity, that’s all.

Thank you for the Ask, and truthfully, I appreciate the curiosity.

You partially answered your own question; these are my personal HCs. I very rarely will write things in accordance with canon. That is how I personally have fun when I write fanfiction. I love recreating stories with these characters. Sometimes they fall in line with the characterization in canon, but often times, not so much.

Now, some readers enjoy that; others dislike it. Both opinions, I think, are totally appropriate. That's the beauty of fanfiction: there's a little bit of something for everyone here in the fandom.

As far as Open Heart... I totally understand what you are asking, and I don't know if my answer will satisfy your curiosity. I personally loved OPH, and I didn't mind MC. She is not what made me love Open Heart (nor would her character make me hate it).

When I started writing FF, I never intended to write for OPH... and then suddenly, I was inspired to create a world revolving around the Johns Hopkins girl that came between Ethan and Tobias... and well, ta-da! The rest is history. In my HC, I wanted Ethan to be Tatum's endgame, so I wanted to make this character who cheated on Ethan shine brighter than the OG MC... talk about a challenge! That's probably why I never really write her in a positive light.

Does that make sense? I don't think the character in general is unworthy of a happy ending ... I'm just trying to write an interesting story about my Tatum, and well, poor MC is getting the shaft.

i’m not the biggggest fan of se as a couple within the show but i like your take on them/how you perceive them and i like your blog as a whole, however. the concept of stelena hating eachother and that following with lust/hate driven sex intrigued me so i read both parts and well, i know elena’s acting weird to everybody but i kinda love her like this. i’m not even sorry. your take on that messy ass side bond and it’s effects? enjoyable. really hopeful for a follow up just cause it’s so juicy. great plot twist. plus the smut is crazy good for a ff, probably the best i’ve read from you (and i’m an avid reader of your bonkai fics, idk how you topped that for me but woah)

the dynamic in which you wrote them was really perfect for this story, i also think the timeline of the where they’re at within this is really crucial to why it could happen believably so you nailed that.

i liked seeing them at their pettiest, most jealous, it suits them. and i’m not for mush but that one note you put to address their connection/how they love eachother in the gym blended really well and felt right for them.

Almost three years ago, when I played OPH for the first time and fell in love with my MC, I was so determined to pick a FC for her. I almost picked Renata Notni (who is now my Platinum FC) but she wasn't Lilac. I just couldn't explain why. Until one day, I watched Blade Runner and saw a woman so beautiful, I cried. Everything about her was Lilac. When I Googled, I saw the promo/trailer for Entering Red and I knew that was my Lilac

I was so excited, I made a post here in this blog that barely enyone followed (because I only posted once in a blue moon). I changed my pfp to ADA. It made me so happy even if no one else had any clue who this ADA was, let alone who Lilac was. This was way before I started writing.

Having a face to my Lilac inspired me so much, I started writing my first oph ff that I never finished or posted.

I do not understand this website at all.

FFS. Young adults being sexually interested in older adults and vice versa is not “ped/oph/ilia.” At eighteen, you are legally an adult everywhere in the world I can think of. Certainly, you are at nineteen and twenty.

Is a relationship between a very young adult and someone in their thirties or forties a good idea? Most likely not. Can it be open to abuse or exploitation? Yes.  Do I think it’s something people should do? Probably not. But it’s also none of my damn business and it’s not ped/oph/ilic. Stop muddying a useful term until it means absolutely fuckall.

 I’m seriously beginning to think that a lot of people on this shitsite believe childhood extends into someone’s twenties and even thirties from the way they go on.
