Interesting! They have not had a chance to interact yet, but I'll bite because I never turn down the opportunity for building up a good ship.

Not sure if you had a particular Zelda in mind, but his luck may vary depending on which Zelda you put him in front of. Regardless of the Zelda, I can absolutely see the arranged marriage sort of route to unite two nations since marriage alliances are so common with royalty. The relationship can absolutely blossom outside of being just an arrangement, but the nature of that will once again depend on the Zelda. There's also the tidbit about Ganondorf being possessed by a demon that could cause some issues and concern as Zelda hears rumors/starts to piece things together. But also, may I offer you the angst of Zelda falling for him then finding out the man she is in love with has been possessed by a demon this entire time and the issues that potentially come with that?

Requesting his presence in the sparring ring had been foolish — and Desinii knew that from the start. Still, with the rage simmering just beneath her skin, she knew that taking on a training dummy would offer her no relief; and her sisters were otherwise preoccupied (so they’d claimed) — which left…Their king.

In all honesty, she was surprised when he’d agreed with minimal prodding. Desinii knows that she is not seen as a warrior. Her training allows her to protect herself, if need be, but she has not undergone the hours of strenuous combat training of her soldier sisters. They stand proud, always at the ready, should someone or something be foolish enough to launch an attack against Gerudo Town — but Desinii chose to follow a different path. She doesn’t regret seeking knowledge over a blade; but there are times she wonders if she’s not resented for it.

It’s a cruel thought that her brain conjures, usually in the dark of night, when Desinii is alone with only her mind to keep her company. Perhaps if she had chosen the path of a merchant, she would garner less stares? Her sisters are supportive on the surface, but what do they say when she walks out of earshot…?

A moment of weakness— a drop in guard— call it what you will, but it affords Ganondorf an opportunity (which he arguably didn’t need) to catch Desinii off guard; and from there, it’s too easy to sweep her legs out from under her, sending her plummeting to the earth below.

The air is punched from her lungs, as back collides against the hard platform of the ring they use for training. Colorful lights dance behind her tightly shut eyes. Oh, she’s certainly going to be feeling that for the next few days…

To add insult to injury, her opponent sees fit to straddle her— effectively pinning her beneath his substantial weight.

How many have been in this same position? What was their experience? Was it moments before their demise? Or was it leading up to something more pleasu—

“I cede. You can get off of me now.” Preferably with haste, before the heat rising to her face becomes evident.
