Uhuhu boy, this question. I have a wide variety of headcanons for the gang's jobs in the future. Let's see here

Sunny: A writer and an assistant of Basil in his greenhouse. Sunny writes novels about his life four years ago, and how he blossomed into who he is today. Basil, Aubrey, and Mincy help him with this sometimes.

Basil: Definitely one to own a greenhouse or a flower shop, both being called "Basil's Home for Plants". I can see it being rather successful as Basil treats his plants with love and care. I also see Basil telling his stories to any loyal customers he trusts.

Aubrey: She'd be a mechanic for some, but to me, she's probably a professional baseball player, MVP of the Faraway Team no doubt. Whenever she's off season though, she's busy helping her SunBun with his writing, her Flowerboy with his gardening, and her Paintsplash with her artistry. Speaking of which...

Mincy: Mincy's apart of the main cast in the future! She'd obvious take a career as an artist, doing commissions online here and there. If she's not drawing, she's blogging about her life, with Basil teaching her some of his photography skills in order to make better posts. She also helps with writing and gardening, and is a surprisingly good cook.

Cris: You can't have Mincy without Cris by her side, now can you? Cris is an Olympic swimmer, due to her love of all things aquatic. She'd also be good at leading tours around aquariums methinks. She calls everyone a lot whenever she isn't home, even if it's just for a few hours.

Kel: Kel is easily on a professional basketball team with Jay. This sadly causes him to be away from home a lot, but when he is home, it's a party at that point. He still gets in arguments and play fights with Aubrey, even in adulthood, but it's all in good fun. Sunny actually writes about Kel the most in his stories.

Henry/Hero: Hero, for a reason about to be explained, becomes a cook/nurse in the future. At Faraway Hospital, he works as both a chef and a nurse who can make delectable meals for patients and deliver them when his nurse shift takes place. Not only does he use his medical degree, but he's gotten back into his old hobby! This is thanks to, you're not gonna believe this,

Mari: Yeah! Mari's revived in this AU. Donning a white gown and a nurse's hat, she's Hero's assistant, helping him prepare food and helping caring for patients. When she's not on her shift, she's busy hanging out with her little brother at home, who she does not leave until her shift begins.

Kim: Kim is also apart of Aubrey's baseball team, fun fact. She's the pitcher, but is also able to hit lots of rough hits to the ball. If she's not doing that, she's actually wrestling...no joke, this woman is in the (insert Faraway Equivalent of the WWE here) and is kicking everyone's asses. She's real sweet though.

Angel: Angel is following Kel to become a basketball player like him. He also has a hobby for artistry thanks to his older sister, who he has rekindled his relationship with.

Charlene: Charlene is a worker at Basil's greenhouse! She tends to plants and here and there and handles microtransactions in the store. She's a bit more social now because of this.

Mikhael: Mikhael, better known as the Maverick, I see him being a baker with his siblings, Daphne and Bowen. They're all rather goofy together, but Mikhael also branches off into his own hobbies, those being animation (specifically anime) and game design.

Vance: Probably the least expected profession for Vance would be taking over Miss Candice's candy shop when she enters retirement. He manages it well, but also runs a little babysitting service, which falls under the times to close the candy shop. He always gets lots of candy for the kids he takes care of if they behave.

I'd say that does it.

Other fun facts:

Sunny, Basil, Aubrey, Mincy, Cris, Kel, and Kim are all in polyamourus relationship! They all live together in one house in Faraway.

Mari and Hero own a house together next door, but they end up visiting everyone so often that you can say that they live there too.

Time for more Omori ship headcanons, namely ones used by my friends (namely @writeranon69 @piplupmakesstuff @phrogs-blog @belongsinthetrash @mozzaremi and @cromicronm) and some of my own favorites (@writeranon69 when you return you're gonna LOVE this):

Note: Outside of a few which will be marked with a star to indicate the ships I ship in my headcanon, most of these ships are headcanons I have for the ships my friends' headcanon happening :)

☆Sunflower: Sunny helps Basil around the garden, namely with watering the extensive amount of plants in Basil's garden, and Basil often calls him either, "his precious Sunflower," or, "his busy beloved bee."

Suntan: Kel was completely oblivious to any forms of flirtation from Sunny for approximately 243 hints that Sunny dropped before Sunny outright confessed and even then, it took Kel a few minutes to process it because best boy is a confused boyo.

Sunburn (@writeranon69 THIS ONE'S FOR YOU WHEN YOU RETURN :D): Aubrey and Sunny have done full on outfit swaps on certain days. She always cannot stop saying, "How adorable her Sunbun is," while he's wearing her jacket, even whilst he's just standing there MENACINGLY

Sunbleached (@mozzaremi and @cromicronm come get your food/j 🙂): The Maverick sometimes sings full on love songs from anime, in fluent Japanese too (since Sunny is half-Japanese in my headcanon, I like to headcanon he helped Mikhael learn the language tol due to their shared love of anime) to Sunny. Daphne and Bowen helped him learn to sing really well. Also, The Maverick and Sunny have done duets of both Two Player Game from Be More Chill (New headcanon of mine says Mikhael is a theater kid) and Snow Halation (also in fluent Japanese)

Sunsketch (@writeranon69 and @donuqx-art *[yeets this at you/pos]*: Sunny was helped by Mincy in his quest to become a better artist and, as thanks and his confession, he drew her a very high quality boquet with the wrapping saying, "May I have the honor of being your lover?"

Baseball (@belongsinthetrash This one's for you :) ): Kel's obviousness and Aubrey's edgy yet soft aesthetic can lead to pure wholesome chaos when these two are alone together.

Fireflower (@writeranon69 Also for you friendo): Aubrey gives Basil piggybacks constantly and sometimes, Basil falls asleep on her shoulder.

☆Cotton Candy: Aubrey has successfully managed to help Kim actually pay for candy instead of stealing it. In exchange, Kim and Vance talked to their mother and ultimately allowed Aubrey to live with them so she can actually have good experiences in a household since we all know how bad Aubrey's parents are

Paintsplash (@donuqx-art Come get your juice): Mincy's confession to Aubrey happened as she drew her and Aubrey as bunnies snuggling together lovingly in the woods

☆Heromari: Mari is the reason Hero learned to cook. He wanted to treat her like a queen when they married (well before Mari got ayo the pizza'd) and this was one of the ways he thought could help with that

☆Paperboat: Cris' family once took a cruise liner out to sea and Cris gave Mincy tickets to join them. It was on this cruise where Mincy and Cris confessed to each other, ultimately leading to their first kiss as dolphins leaped above the waves behind them

☆Captain Spaceboy x Sweetheart: In the post-good ending version of Headspace, Sweetheart becomes a much more kind-hearted, less boastful, much less egotistical, and overall great person and treats Spaceboy very well, as does he. They are now known as, "The Benevolent Royal Couple of the Stars."

Paintsplash art dump cuz I’ve been having massive brainrot,,,,

OK!!! SO lil rambling of how I imagine their dynamic,,, mincy at first doesn't like aubrey cuz she saw her bullying basil (who she befriended in the post true ending cuz I said so!!!) and even after aubrey apoligized to him and basil forgave her after a while, mincy still avoids her like the plague,, BUT once the two girls get to know eachother more they find out that they have a lot of things in common actually ( like enjoying the captain spaceboy series, absent fathers, abandonment issues, etc /hc) and they become closer :DDD

hc that mincy has a lot of repressed anger, due to being told to not show anger since a "good girl shouldn't be violent", so whenever mincy would rant about her struggles her mother would dismiss it all,,,

luckily she had her older brother pretty boy to rant to since he was the only family member who would accept her weaknesses and struggles,, but now that he's busy applying to college and her childhood friend cris is in boarding school mince doesn't have anyone left anymore,,,

so yeah,,, she becomes a delinquent carrying around scissors as weapons,, :)))
