Informal Palia poll: when you’re coming down from visiting Subira, do you take the stairs like a civilized person or just leap over the railing like a fuckin feral kangaroo and scare the shit out of Ashura?
Just met Subira. The only older romanceable woman in town other than Tamala. Tamala is a witch. Subira is from an order that hunts witches and other magic users. Both immediately make flirty romancey comments the first time you meet them
So I went to Ashura's room at night before he came into his room to get a recipe, only to find Subira there standing. I tried talking to her, but the "sorry I can't chat right now" message showed up. And then, I went to photo mode because I wanted to show this to someone, and......... Ashura showed up. Now it looks like this. Does anyone know what is going on? lol
I personally like her character and how she made the villagers comfortable with her being there right away! I want to learn more about her and her story.
Ori on the other hand is taking an "keep your friends close, your enemies closer" approach here and just hates her guts. As he would with anyone from the Order hiding knowledge under the pretense of "protecting the people" (always a lie) and creating child soldiers which will be easier to brainwash than adults sooooo we'll see how this goes!
So, I started playing Palia about a month ago, and let me tell you, I love it. I also love the ability to romance two people at once. I haven't gotten to the romance level yet (level 4 friendship first) but I'm excited to be able to do it. My picks are Tamala, the witch lady that uses Flow (magic) illegally for potions, and Subira, the Watcher from the Capital that is trying to stop the illegal use of Flow (while also using Flow herself). Suffice to say, I'm sure romancing them both at the same time will be fun! And now, some GIFs for reference!
Tamala
Subira
There's no combat in the game, and it's super relaxing to play as the game progresses. I really enjoy it. Sure, the costumes you can buy are expensive, but they aren't needed to enhance the game at all, just to look pretty.
And that has been my new hyper-fixation in a short-ish post
