Hello there! I'm the anon with the Percy being Patrochilles' love child ask. Can I ask for some headcanons of modern!patrochilles adopting Percy?

OMG HELLO MODERN!PATROCHILLES PERCY LOVE CHILD ANON who simply put that thought into my brain and is also legendary....... lemme whip something up for you :’) so in this au i’ll do it as modern!patrochilles legit adopt percy as their lovechild bc this is an au and i can do what i want LMFAO (it feels so weird not having sally in here but i will add her somehow regardless bc she’s the QUEEN) hope you enjoy friend!!!

- patroclus & achilles see percy and see his wide bright sea-green eyes looking up at them and they mirror achilles’ spearmint green eyes and reminds achilles of patroclus’ skops nickname, and percy’s hair is dark like patroclus’ and is tan like him too and he has a giggle that is like a melody and both of them think. okay he is ours and then they get told that his name is “perseus” aka the only demigod that lived a long & safe life and they have a sense of relief and think. wow he really is ours

- on the ride home percy is a little quiet but he has a sense of happiness and can’t really put it into words, and patroclus holds percy’s tiny little hand and tells him that they’re all gonna be a family and tells him how lucky he & achilles feel that they have a beautiful joy in their life and perseus smiles and achilles is driving and trying not to cry bc he can see how beautiful a son perseus is going to be and how beautiful a dad patroclus already is

- now. patroclus would be the kind, soft, warm, empathetic, semi-strict parent who always gives the best advice, wants there to be a two way street of trust, honesty, and respect and he is such a soft dad and achilles would be the fun, wild card, dorky dad who protects his child with a fervor and relates to perseus & is very loving just like patroclus and is Iike the best friend dad, and the entire time they’re both so loving to percy & sometimes patroclus is rolling his eyes playfully and is like “i’m raising TWO kids” after perseus & achilles have blue paint on themselves after making an art project for patroclus that he looks at & admires and tears up at while putting it on the wall :’)

- percy calls them lily & pat sometimes and they call him perse, perseus, and cici <3

- they all like to celebrate the holidays and they give each other valentine’s day cards and patrochilles put a stuffed animal, his favorite candy, and some lil extra presents on percy’s bed after he comes from school. on halloween they dress percy up like a lil guppy and pat has his pumpkin costume and achilles w his greek god costume & they all go trick or treating and both percy & achilles ask for candy while pat is just chastising achilles and telling him “you better share w perseus” hehe and on christmas it’s filled w love, laughter, cheer, & tons of presents on all sides :’) percy gives them homemade drawings and the sweetest cards and patrochilles give him a photo framed of all three of them + their golden retriever puppy chiron, a polaroid, and a certificate saying that they adopted a baby seal in perseus’ name <3

- they keep every little card that they give each other and they have scrapbooks and albums and they want to carry these memories forever :’) and omg when it’s percy’s bday it is simply WILD! fast forward a couple years later it’s so much fun and they eat cake and have a great summer picnic outside w all of percy’s friends and yes everyone is checking achilles & patroclus out bc they’re valid and they all have such a grand ol’ time :’) annabeth, jason, frank, hazel, and will talk to patroclus a lot and piper, leo, nico, reyna, and thalia talk to achilles a lot and they all intermingle and percy is just so happy that everyone is getting along and they all tell him that his dads are the coolest and so kind and funny and he feels a rush of pride

- also patrochilles are DILFs. no i will not elaborate and i will not allow someone to disagree with me. they’re DILFs and it’s time to accept it and honor it (achilles a proud DILF, patroclus rolling his eyes while blushing when he gets called that)

- fast forward to many years later and perseus has went through his awkward pre-teen years in which he talked to patroclus all about it bc he could relate and achilles was there to provide moral support bc even if he didn’t go through it he wants his son to know that everything he felt was valid and completely normal! now that percy has grown into his own he still knows that he can talk to them about his feelings but he also has a feeling of confidence in him

- i also think that every demigod has adhd so achilles can relate to perseus on that and patroclus helps perseus w his dyslexia and will stay up into the late hours of the night helping him with homework while achilles cuts up some fruit & figs for them to eat and he gives them both kisses and moral support and many needed breaks & snacks

- also fun fact a book percy has to read is by the infamous sally jackson who is literally patroclus’ favorite writer of ALL time and he’s so hype and he has written sally multiple times and is in correspondence with her and one time he was like “you should come by” and sally says “ofc!” and she ends up doing just that, she comes by their apartment and pat is Shook and mixing up his words and all that can come out is “i Love book” and achilles has to translate everything he says and perseus tells her how much he admires her writing and how the hell did she come up w the idea of gods & demigods and how did she have prose so beautiful while speaking of them? and sally just winks and percy smiles and feels like he understands :’) towards the end sally leaves and made sure to sign all of pat’s books and gives them a bust of poseidon who is her favorite god & he nearly passes out and she gives perseus a trident necklace that he will wear forever bc he knows it means something to her and for some reason, it means something to him too

- and LISTEN! perseus has grown into his own and is absolutely beautiful! he has bright green eyes and a lil eyebrow slit that he accidentally got while playing in the park in which patrochilles were so afraid but kept it together after patroclus patched him up, he is tan & tall w jet black hair with a deep & melodic voice, and he has the empathy, kindness, leadership, strength, wisdom, and badassery that was innate/instilled in him by his wonderful parents. patroclus the entire time is like damn those demigod genes!!!! making my baby boy look like a model just like his father smh what about me!!!! and achilles is like babe you’re gorgeous and perseus is like yeah dad you’re great

- and achilles and patroclus do a double take bc the entire time leading up to this percy never really called them dad he just called them nicknames or petnames and all of sudden the dam breaks and everyone is crying and hugging and achilles and patroclus both give percy the biggest kiss on either side of his cheek and percy’s face is being Squished but he doesn’t mind bc he can feel their love :’)

- and lemme tell y’all something achilles had a feeling his baby boy was a demigod after seeing all those monsters and creatures and patroclus could always see through the mist and growing up they wanted him to have a normal life, but achilles wanted percy to be able to protect himself so he taught percy how to fight & patroclus taught him stuff that he learned from medical school and how to patch himself/others up & percy is very well versed in all aspects and is very grateful for this

- percy is a troublemaker and sarcastic little shit who loves to curse and he really gets that from achilles & he is also sensitive, warm, empathetic and in touch with his emotions and he gets that from patroclus and he is the true lovechild of both of those dorks

- basically listen i could talk about them for hours and i can make so many of these but i know how long imma end up making this so lemme just say this: i love modern!patrochilles they’d be the best dads and i love perseus and they’re just a big happy family bc they DESERVE it <3 and maybe YOU know something that they don’t about sally ;) i didn’t know how i’d go about writing this but i hope you liked it! lemme know! <3 and so sorry this is all over the place hehe i know it’s scattered and long but i hope you like it! :’)

Hello! Patrochilles' love child Precy anon here. Again. Sorry to bombard you with these, but your headcanons are so good I can't seem to get enough of them... I'm practicly in love with them. So. My question now is how do you think Percy would find out that Sally is his birth mother and what would be Patrochilles' reaction? Again, no pressure, only write it if you really want to. - so this has been ruminating in perseus’ mind when he finally got claimed and for some reason his brain instantly went there but was interrupted by chiron telling patrochilles & him to go to his cabin, and then after he ended up getting bombarded with all the training/learning/teaching of camp life + shouldering the prophecy & also just the mundaneness of school that he honestly didn’t think about it for a good while

- however, patroclus himself was thinking about it so much - he had talks with achilles and mentioned that sally not only made a beautiful book of prose about the demigods & gods (her book mainly centering about a young poseidon), he recounted that she gave them a bust of poseidon when she went to their apartment & gave perseus a trident necklace - he asked achilles what he thought of this & achilles took a while to ruminate bc he genuinely wanted to think about it, and he said it could be a possibility that somehow the fates all allowed their lives to intertwine like this

- it’s during a summer’s day in june where patrochilles & perseus are soaking up the sun near the strawberry fields at camp & for some reason perseus has this weird feeling in his stomach and he looks over to patrochilles and see’s pat in achilles’ lap while pat feeds him strawberries and he can’t help but smile & his dads notice and achilles playfully throws a strawberry at perseus that he catches in his mouth and giggles

- & then he hears his name being called in the distance and they all saunter over towards the front of camp and they all see someone they didn’t expect

- it’s miss sally jackson and she has a bashful smile on her beautiful face, and everything perseus thought that first day comes back flooding into his brain and sally comes to him while giving a kind wave to patrochilles and holds percy’s hand and tells him what he’s already suspected and he for some reason is in a weird limbo state of shock & relief & also he sort of felt this coming and he just feels a weight leave his shoulders and sally hugs him so hard and he just softly says “hi mom” and she has to hold in her tears bc she hasn’t heard her baby boy say that in gods knows how long

- and patrochilles are looking on with such... they’re so unbelievably happy for percy that he finally found out that sally is his legit mother, that poseidon is his biological father, and all the pieces have come together, but there’s a small part of their hearts that is a little sad & scared because they absolutely would honor percy wanting to live with his mother, but god they just love that boy so much

- listen their love is just SO palpable and sally notices it now just as much as she noticed it back then :’) she comes to patrochilles and holds both of their hands and gives them kisses on the cheeks and hugs them both, softly thanking them from the bottom of her heart for taking care of her baby boy and that they are the best adoptive parents, nay, the best parents PERIOD that she could have asked to take care of her son :’) pat & achilles blush and are so enamored and thank her kindly

- afterwards percy just bombards her with questions after telling everyone to come with him to his cabin and he asks her why didn’t she say anything? why didn’t she tell him that day she came? why did she put him up for adoption?

- sally answers all his questions with honesty, directness, and sincerity. she frankly didn’t know that he would be there & it was the doing of the fates and her own gut instinct that she should go, and she saw the familial bond between all of them and knew that percy was in good hands, and in terms for his last question. sally could not risk her baby boy to be hurt by any divine being, she needed him to be safe & she could not guarantee his safety if she was kept with him & she promised herself that he was most important in her life and it was so heartbreaking to let him go - yet she had a strong pull in her heart that he would be alright and safe :’) she did name her boy perseus after all

- she takes another look at patrochilles and they can feel her gratitude in waves and achilles & pat say that they are grateful that he was raised by such a caring, kind mother & how rare that was and how thankful they were that perseus came into their life, and how thankful they are that sally is in their life now too :’)

- and sally asks a question that was seemingly already in the air - and she surprises patrochilles by asking it frankly! she asks if she can sometimes come by & visit and pat is stunned bc he thought that she would just want to whisk percy away? and she laughs saying that she is a busy woman and percy is getting older, she wants him to have that autonomy and make his own choices and she knows how long he’s stayed w patrochilles and they are absolutely his parents! and pat is stuttering saying how she is absolutely welcome anytime and that he’d give them a copy of their key and achilles just winks at her saying that their door is always open :’)

- percy is so just filled w a sense of relief and just knowing that he has such a loving family around him? that care so deeply and would do anything and everything to protect him? he hopes that they know that he would do the same for them and that he loves them unconditionally <3

now i’m just wondering how the curse of achilles scene in pjo would have gone if paired with tsoa achilles because that would have been something ELSE

percy being in the underworld and seeing a beautiful, youthful, powerful man come towards him and he wonders who he is? golden halo of hair, green eyes that seem to pierce him, and a bloodied spear in his hand & realizes that it’s THE achilles - and he can see the pain and sorrow and hardness in achilles eyes matched with an ancient sadness, an anger at the gods because “you’re sending another demigod, another child to their death?”

yet achilles isn’t aware of how he looks and he wants to tell perseus that he doesn’t have to do this, he doesn’t have to bear this curse - he sees himself in percy in a way - wanting to protect the ones he loves, be a hero and step up to plate, it’s not like percy or achilles had a choice in the matter so he has to help percy because he doesn’t want him to meet the same fate as him.

in comes patroclus from the shadows and he gives a soft smile to perseus knowing what’s to come, and provides percy with an ounce of solace and tells him it will all be okay; he just has to listen to what achilles says, and his blessing will protect him and percy while scared, looks at achilles for further guidance and achilles eyes soften and tells perseus of what he needs to do, and for some reason this time it’s different for achilles because he feels a feeling that he has when looking at patroclus and it is this: hope.

he hopes, and he prays, and he wishes to the gods that percy stays safe and that he comes out of this alive, and after coming out of the river styx perseus has an invigoration in him yet is also frightened and achilles tells him to hold on to that - no one is invulnerable, and perseus needs to do what achilles did and that’s mesh his two worlds together of mortality & immortality, as he is a demigod after all - achilles takes one more look at perseus and sees himself.

he gives perseus a hug, one that is tight and has so much weight to it, because achilles wants to see percy succeed, and to not feel the sorrow he felt & not to become another greek tragedy. patroclus gives percy a kiss on the forehead and tells him to go forth, that he has both his & achilles’ blessing.

- achilles has taught perseus from a young age how to fight and was surprised at how formidable he was even at a young age, and to no one’s surprise, when they found out that he was a demigod achilles amped up the fighting/strategizing of fighting while patroclus taught perseus how to deal with injuries/patch himself & others up

- patrochilles were not aware of camphalfblood, they tried to get demigod antics away from their family as much as possible yet when percy started complaining of monsters and creatures when they’d go out for cheeseburgers at their favorite diner, well patrochilles could not ignore it any longer

- it was during school when percy invited a friend aka grover to his place that everyone found out about chb, and grover was in absolute shock & awe that THE achilles & patroclus were before him, aristos achaion, best of the greeks, and they were here in front of him (grover passed out & patroclus had to help get him awake and gave him a soda can to eat)

- patrochilles go into protective dad mode over both of them and achilles says that he wants to visit this camphalfblood to make sure it’s legit and good enough for his son & they all take the drive down to long island sound and at this point percy is a bit confused and scared bc he doesn’t wanna leave his dads! but he’s also so intrigued and asks grover all about camp and he readily gives them all the information while patrochilles are listening very attentively, not missing a single piece of information

- they get there and patroclus & achilles stop in their tracks completely. bc all they see are kids in armor fighting, kids in the fields playing, and the sound of kids screaming & laughing. & then they see someone walking towards them and it’s... CHIRON??? and chiron is also stopped in his tracks bc his best & favorite students are in front of him after millennia and pat tries to speak and can’t, he just quietly walks to chiron to give him such a warm hug and chiron feels a fatherly loves rush back into his heart, chironides, this title rushes back into pat’s brain and ofc chiron found out about it! he puts his hand on patroclus’ head and wishes upon him blessings

- and achilles still hasn’t moved from his spot and is just in awe bc there is his teacher, his guidance, his own father figure. the whole camp is quiet even though everyone is out of their cabins as onlookers because even they know of the great achilles & his comrade/lover in arms, patroclus. achilles runs with the quickness of which only the best of the greeks could achieve, into chiron’s arms, forgoing any formal greetings bc achilles is no prince anymore and he can finally hug the one other man in his life that taught him so much (along w patroclus & perseus ofc) and chiron’s eyes are filling with tears and he wishes many blessings upon achilles as well

- and he notices a boy looking on, with eyes green as the sea, black as night hair, tan, tall, and beautiful - he can already tell that this boy is powerful as the power radiates from him in waves, reminiscent of a current within the ocean sea

- chiron introduces himself formally to percy and percy is just like ??? “grover WHAT is mr. brunner doing here?” and everyone is shocked a bit bc how have the fates intertwined their lives like this? it’s wild & chiron tells them to follow him so he can explain everything

- they walk towards his cabin and everyone is staring BC yes achilles is still lethally beautiful, they can’t take their eyes off him, pat, or perseus and all percy can hear is giggling from the campers who he knows is checking out his dads & him and pat is slightly blushing bc of the attention, and achilles is blissfully unaware bc this is natural to him and he simply smiles at everyone and fun fact: an aphrodite boy passed out when he did that and whoops not achilles’ fault (but also is)

- yet as they’re walking they hear gasps and percy thinks that people are finally seeing that yeah his dad is achilles but it’s actually bc above him is a bright blue trident and everyone stops in their tracks, and chiron is quiet before he says that perseus has been claimed. child of the sea god poseidon. and patrochilles are stunned and pat starts chastising his own self bc how couldn’t he have figured this out? sally jackson gave a bust of poseidon to them, she gave percy a trident necklace, perseus was the captain of varsity swim team - these were not coincidences, these were CLUES! and achilles is for some reason so... angry? who is this god claiming percy when he & pat are his adoptive fathers? he has a sense of extreme protectiveness coming over him and chiron knows achilles and simply says that his birth father is that of the ruler of the oceans - poseidon himself.

- percy is shocked and embarrassed and also... relieved? he knows who his dad and that’s crazy bc he’s one of the big three? he starts piecing together some ideas and wonders if sally is his...? but before he can even cement that thought chiron tells them to follow him so he can explain the happenings of camp

- they all sit down w chiron and achilles has a protective arm around perseus and patroclus is holding percy’s hand and before chiron can get anything out achilles demands that percy be allowed the choice of staying or leaving and chiron looks at him, knowing this would most likely happen, and he simply asks perseus to hold on to that thought until after chiron is done explaining

- chiron ends up telling them everything about camp - how it’s run, what percy can learn, and how he can thrive here. and achilles is getting scared bc what is perseus never wants to come home? and patroclus is quiet and thinking in favor of what’s best for perseus. and it isn’t until percy speaks and asks if he can do a test run of being at camp - just to see how it is.

- his dads reluctantly agree and a few weeks later percy goes to his cabin (where patrochilles were both staying in bc no way are they letting him be here alone at first) and he’s dripping with sweat and smiling super big and patrochilles can see how much fun he’s been having with his friends there and they already know what he’s gonna say and achilles is bracing himself for the “dad, i’m staying here from now on” and percy just says “i asked chiron and he said i’m allowed to be here during the summer’s only if that’s what i want” and patrochilles are both shocked bc? they thought he didn’t wanna live w them at all anymore and pat asks him if he’s sure - that they won’t be upset or angry - and percy says that he’s positive, i mean achilles taught him more than whatever he could learn at camp, and during the summer’s while he’s here, he says to patrochilles that chiron wants them to be there as teachers!

- achilles & patroclus are both stunned and ask percy again, if HE IS SURE, and percy rolls his eyes and says YES! he gets his dads here while still having the fun/learning experience of camp and still being able to try and be a normal teenager during the school year and patrochilles ofc say yes and they all do a massive group hug :’) and chiron comes in and asks achilles & patroclus if they’re okay w this arrangement (they more than are) and chiron winks at them saying that they will now become the teachers :’)

- achilles is the teacher of anything dealing w fighting and most often his classes involve the entirety of camp & patroclus also teaches healing and medicine and the arts <3 basically this was the best arrangement that could have happened and percy is so happy that his dads can be here and patrochilles are so happy to mesh their two worlds together and be able to teach & learn from a new generation of demigods <3 especially from their own baby boy perseus :’)

- patrochilles & perseus will often times go out and do fun stuff together - they all want to do adorable familial things so pat & achilles will take perseus’ to their favorite diner, “the acropolis”, and eat their hearts out (pat has to wipe both of their mouths bc his boys are voracious eaters) and percy turns their drink’s blue (he found out he could do this at chb and he will never stop)

- they like to go to amusement parks/fairs/carnivals and achilles will always win at every single game so his hands are full of stuffed animals and little prizes to give pat & perseus, percy is an ace at water games and for some reason never loses ;) and pat will chastise him while smiling, and pat is always whisking his boys away to the adorable pet farm in which they get to hold bunnies, pet little lambs, and see cool animals! pat makes achilles take so many pictures and it’s just too adorable

- something hilarious that keeps happening to the boys is that they all get asked out nearly every 20 min by some brave yet intimidated soul and achilles has to hold pat and say “sorry i’m taken” and perseus just doesn’t wanna date some random stranger so he just says sorry but that he appreciates their guts of asking him out!

- another fun thing is that they just love celebrating the seasons!

- during the summer they’ll go to the roller rink, to their favorite ice cream stand, pizza parlor, to the park and have a lovely summer’s picnic, they like going to ofc fairs/carnivals/amusement parks, and they love going to the beach and the ocean - perseus feels at home there and patrochilles have always loved the ocean

- during the spring, they’ll go to adorable local festivals and music festivals, pat will dress everyone up and do their makeup/nails and make sure everyone looks popping (which they always do) and they just have so much fun dancing the night away! something else that they do is do little easter egg hunts (you’re never too old to eat all the candy) and pat will hide them so achilles & perseus have to find them (you don’t wanna see those two in competition or compete against them... they’re unforgiving) BUT it’s super fun and they just have a really fun day!

- during the fall patrochilles take perseus to the pumpkin patch and they enjoy going to all the delicious food stalls, going to the corn maze, haunted hayride & haunted houses - this is one of their fav things to do since it’s so fun and perseus at this point in time is like 18 and he just has so much fun seeing his dads take him to their favorite spots growing up! also during halloween instead of trick or treating, they just like to dress up and have a party w all of percy’s friends over and they give out candy to little kids! the kids love them and always make sure to go to uncle pat, lily, & cici’s place! (that’s what the lil kids call em :’)

- and during winter, while it may be cold their spirits and hearts are so warm! they love going to christmas markets and shopping for presents, they watch xmas movies and make all the sweet treats! percy is old enough to get stuff for his dads so he makes achilles a spear that he fashioned at camp & he gives patroclus a journal that he’s been keeping and both pat & achilles are so thankful and happy and they just love their baby boy :’) they give him a record player & demigod-safe cameras/polaroids with film and an album of pictures they’ve accumulated of perseus throughout the year! it’s very sweet <3

- during the year they always have family movie nights every sunday in which they all wear face masks, do a self care routine, watch a new movie they haven’t seen while eating some delicious food and this is a day of relaxation and everyone is just so zen & lil puppy chiron is there just licking everyone and stealing achilles’ pizza everytime he tries to grab a piece

- sometimes when perseus gets really stressed bc of school/demigod stuff, achilles & patroclus will take him in their car and just drive around near the sea with the windows down, so the breeze and ocean air can calm perseus. they’ll stop at a rest area overlooking the ocean and just have conversations and long talks until 2 am about everything & anything - those times are usually filled with laughter, tears, blunt & honest advice, and tons of wisdom & perseus is so grateful bc his parents have gone through what he’s been through! achilles knows what it’s like to shoulder a prophecy & how hard it is to be a demigod & the confusion/anger/sadness that comes with it, and patroclus knows the stresses of not only that, but of mundane normal life too! and they remind percy that everything he feels is valid, and they are ALWAYS here for him, no matter what

- those days are often filled with percy just being held by patrochilles

- also one day while patrochilles is out, percy goes to their room while he’s bored and looks around and finds a bunch of journals/poems/albums/trinkets/knickknacks of when patrochilles were his age! achilles still looks just as beautiful and wild & pat looks just as warm & soft, they look so in love & percy reads all of pat’s journals about achilles and he finds trinkets that achilles has bought pat, and something he finds as well is a journal simply called “Perseus.” and he doesn’t open it but he knows what it must entail and his heart is so full of love bc they just adore him w all their hearts and he feels the same about them

- when they come home w arms full of groceries and put them on the counter, percy just goes up to the both of them and silently hugs them trying to convey his love & adoration. patrochilles are slightly shocked bc they don’t know why he all of a sudden just went to do this but they are so grateful nonetheless, and they hug him back and give him the biggest kisses and tell him how much they love him. percy says that he loves them too and that they’re the best dads in the world :’) achilles eyes are misty and pat has the most widest smile and they just !!!!! EVERYONE’S heart is filled w sunshine & love

- more than anything they are all just so happy that they are a happy family; and they’re all cognizant of the fact that they’re lucky enough to be safe & healthy bc the life of a demigod is tough! but it’s a bit easier with wonderful friends, family, and a great support system <3

they love each other so much and I LOVE THEM & YOU!

How do you think Percy getting the Curse of Achilles would go? How would Patrochilles be involved in the battle? Thank you so much again for all you've written so far. HELLO & THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! i appreciate you requesting this stuff bc it’s so fun to write and i’m beyond happy that you enjoy them AHH i love you! and sure lemme think of something! :’) - i’m so sorry for how late i’m doing this - i couldn’t think of anything for SO long so i’m just gonna do this now! (this will suck SO much just letting you know in advance omfg so sorry legend)

- i think percy has carried the weight of the prophecy for so long again, he’s spoken to achilles about this with iris messages bc he knows how it is being a demigod w a weighty prophecy on your mind & how it affects not only you, but others - achilles & pat always contact percy when he’s out on quests just to make sure he’s okay and safe

- it isn’t until they’re nearing the war w kronos that things get even MORE heavy and dark. (they don’t know how that’s possible) achilles & patroclus go to chb to talk w chiron about everything and get advice and they see nico there - a son of hades and achilles goes to him to speak about everything

- nico shadow travels & takes both achilles & patroclus down into the underworld - they pass hades and achilles & patroclus have their eyes focused and are in protective dad battle mode - they’ve known for a while about the nightmares percy has had and it isn’t until nico tells them what percy has to do that they stop in their tracks - he has to do what has been done to achilles - bathe in the river styx

- and achilles is horrified and so is patroclus so they run towards the styx and they see percy and he’s so tired and he’s terrified and he sees his dads and he knows what he has to do and they run over and hug him and they try and ask nico if there’s any other way to go through w this and there isn’t.

- they ask for a moment alone and achilles closes his eyes and puts his hand on perseus’ head, the same way chiron did for him. he puts his blessing upon perseus, aristos achaion- best of the greeks, named now for his son perseus. patroclus puts his blessings upon his son too and perseus opens his eyes and has tears flowing down his cheeks and achilles tells him what he has to do - mirror both his worlds together (that of a mortal - patroclus side & that of a god - achilles’ side) and perseus is the mesh between them both. he dips himself into the styx and every memory comes crawling back to him - smiling and laughing with his friends, all the fun outings w his dads, and perseus focuses on the small of his back where his friends and his dad always put their hands on in a sense of comfort

- he steps at the ledge with his hand out and patrochilles take him. he’s now invulnerable and there’s a godly glow to him - strong & powerful. the new aristos achaion

- during the battle, perseus & achilles are clearly the most lethal, patroclus and the campers are fighting alongside them - fighting w a vigor and both are taking turns hiding percy’s weakspot

- achilles is dangerous and lethal and perseus is in complete shock bc yes he’s seen achilles fight but he hasn’t seen achilles FIGHT - with his whole entire being and decimating monsters - he has a wild look in his eyes that mimics perseus when he fights (that’s something both rachel & pat noticed) and you can barely see the spear whiz by as achilles throws it and perseus swordsmanship is second to none - his usage of water in battle is frightening and powerful and he’s a force to be reckoned with

- patrochilles promised themselves that their goal is to save perseus and he’s their number 1 priority - they save a few demigods along the way and they see kronos the bastard and see that he’s taken the form of luke and while they go and try to stop them - percy stops patrochilles letting them know that this is HIS prophecy and they’ve taken care of him long enough and he has to fight now

- achilles & patroclus yell saying they won’t leave percy but he knows he HAS to do this himself. he tells them to keep fighting while he goes take care of what needs to be done and patrochilles both know that he needs to do what he needs to do, they give him the biggest bone crushing hug and kiss and let their baby boy save the world

- it’s the aftermath and what’s done has been done. kronos has been defeated, nico, hades, & fellow campers are holding vigils for the lost demigods, people are hugging and crying and patrochilles find perseus in the aftermath and cry in his arms and are so happy to see he’s safe and well and they hug all of his friends and go into soft sappy dad mode :’) they’re proud of their boy - he turned down immortality and just wants to live a simple life and his one eternal wish is that the gods claimed their kids and patrochilles are so PROUD of him. his goodness is innate

- and in the sidelines is sally and... poseidon??? percy sees his dad and gives him a warm smile and poseidon gives him a wink and comes over and gives achilles & patroclus his thanks and sally hugs both of them and kisses percy on the cheek and holds him so tight

- the following weeks are a weird blur - they all help out at camp and eventually they all go home and patrochilles are holding percy in their arms and he still has the blessing/curse of achilles and they just try to live a domestic life together and as per usual, they go on a long midnight drive and stop by the ocean and overlook it while talking about life, love, the weird and dangerous life of being a demigod and again, pat & achilles always want perseus to know that they’re there for him and they love him. percy is quiet for a while and says he loves them and wants them to know he’s there for them to. the adoration and genuineness is palpable and they all say i love you & hug :’)

this is literally so sweet i love you :’) now all i want is tsoa to mesh w pjo hehe and this is such an interesting ask i never really thought about it but here’s a few things i came up w! hope you enjoy <3

- i think patroclus is genuinely the light where there’s darkness, he’s been noted to be achilles’ better half and he himself has extreme courage, loyalty, love, & prowess so i think he provides those qualities to his blessing upon percy and he knows percy exemplifies those qualities and his blessing just expands upon them

- his blessing provides percy to act bc patroclus is an exemplary & competent soldier and honestly he has much cunning and barely anyone could notice the difference of him fighting & achilles fighting - it will allow perseus to be even more cunning & lethal in battle, ON TOP of what achilles’ blessing/curse does

- he provides also extreme senses of loyalty & love, qualities he values above all and it is his love + loyalty of achilles that caused him to join him in war and vice versa, percy would have to realize that this is not his war, he is simply fighting in it but he needs to know where his loyalties would lie, with kronos’ army or with his fellow demigod friends? power will do nasty things to someone, he needs to have an understanding of his own power & how to act upon it

- achilles said percy needed to mesh his two worlds together, that of being a mortal & that of being immortal - thus is the nature of being a demigod - and you can’t have one without the other or it will leave you vulnerable. patroclus’ blessing will connect percy to his human side just as well to how achilles blessing will connect him to his godly side, and he needs to find that balance

- patroclus’ blessing above all will provide him with solace and if you’re getting a blessing from achilles, you’ll be sure to get a blessing from his comrade-in-arms, lover, reason to be - patroclus :’) he provides a sense of comfort and relief to percy, same as he does to achilles
