so i took pcm last year. tomorrows my school result. im going to 12th tomorrow. we're still doing 11th syllabus in coaching but that doesnt matter.

i didnt know this is gonna be so fucking difficult. i feel so trapped. ive got like 3 friends. theyre all busy preparing for current 12th's farewell. theyve got all sorts of shittt things and plans for the *finally* offline school classes. ill probably not be attending them, im gonna have a talk with the teachers cause we all know it becomes hectic as hell.

my 11th was wild and yep. i did nothing else other than study and yet i am real behind in 11th.

even before this year and before the covid period, i didnt go out that much. i wanted to, but i wasnt allowed to. id fight my family so much but they never really gave me that freedom. im not saying theyre bad, theyre just slightly over protective. so anyway, i didnt even go out in evenings to play with neighbourhood kids. as a result, i only have a few friends and all them in school.

i feel like my childhood has fucking wasted away. i never really lived it. i dont even remember most of it. idk why. i dont know what i used to do. i do know that that wasnt really what other people my age did.

now ive got 12. obviously nothing else except studies. then college. i hear people say that once you get through 11th 12th youre all good off and everythings good in a good college. but i barely believe them. cmon man like. have some sense.

its this fucking cycle. i never lived my childhood really. and now i wont have a chance to.

Busy..busy...busy

In the studio It's been a busy week here at mission control I have had a very busy and productive week in the studio ( My den, I call the studio cosh it's a bit posher innit) but I don't really have much "end product" to show for it. I recorded a "fast talking" video 😯, yes these steroids I am on are working wonders in that respect,I was able to do some fast talking for a while. I recorded me speaking "The Charge of The Light Brigade" a famous poem by Tennyson. I also started a new Podcast and recorded a channel trailer and episode 1, both of these were in post-production for nearly 4 days, not each, in total just editing my voice to make it sound better. My cancer and BX have left me with lots of issues with my voice, it's not as deep and resonant as it was, I gasp and rattle when I breathe in, I smack my lips a lot and make other weird chirruping noises as well as stuttering in places. All of this has to be edited out in post production and that takes time. Foodie videos I also made 2 "Foodie" type videos for YouTube.Nothing really exciting some friends were talking on Facebook about the new McDonalds McPlant burger and how it actually tasted like beef and I thought I'd give it a try, so I made a video about me reacting to the burger. I made a glaring mistake though, I should have had some B-Roll footage of the food in the bag and cut to it several times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfl7uNARdjA The Facebook conversation went off on a tangent Facebook conversations always go off on a tangent, this one went from the McPlant to the burger McD's actually use, something called "Beyond burgers" so seeing as I already tried the McD's one we got some of these Beyond Burgers and I gave them a try as well. Again, almost same mistake as with the McDonalds one except this time I did get some B-roll of the burgers frying but for some reason I didn't think to get any of them on the plate and It was only after someone else pointed this out to me did i realise what I had left out. I made them to practice and prefect my techniques with filming, motion graphics and editing. I started to do a Podcast which can be found here. This really was time intensive as my voice wasn't brilliant when I recorded it, see live video above. USB Audio Interface On 2 of the sound recording and editing courses I am currently taking the advice ids to get a USB Audio Interface for my mic as this will make everything sound better, I looked on Amazon at the ones they suggested and they were over £100 each. Then I realised I already had one, I have a Tascam DR-40X PCM 4 channel recorder And I had seen somewhere that it can be used as a USB audio Interface, so after a quick google I found out how to do that, connected it all up and plugged my boom mic into it, and yes, you do need an audio interface because being able to change the gain before recording means a lot less time spent sorting it out in post. The model progress I also did some more model building and have a couple more hours of footage in the can to edit, this model I just taking me longer than I anticipated because it's just so complicated. So all-in-all it's actually been quite busy and I have loads of footage to turn into videos eventually. I think if I was bothered about monetising YouTube and releasing on a schedule I'd be panicking about now, but as I am not I am just going along at my own pace. I guesstimate it's probably going to be another year before I have all the skills I need to really produce great content. Read the full article

How do you switch from motability to owning a car with the UK's new car insurance policies?

Ok we've got a small problem. At present we get a car from motability, but we want to switch to owning our own car, but we have a major problem with this new all cars must be insured at all times or declared SORN scheme. The problem we have is that our motability car goes back in October. We're in a rural location so we need a car ready for when the switch over happens. At present with the motability insurance their insurance only insures one vehicle, the motability one, and can't have additional vehicles added to it. We've got a few quotes from insurance companies who have told us that when the motability lease expires they will give us the no claim discount based on the motabiity insurance, but they wont give us that discount until the motability car goes back. So what we want to do is get the new car before October, put it on the drive, check everything is ok with it, and then insure it when we start using it on the road when the motability vehicle goes back. Only problem is with this new law we can't do that without declaring the vehicle SORN. Some of the vehicles we've seen come with a few months road tax, so we don't really want to lose that by declaring it SORN, just for a few weeks (or is the tax disc still valid when you remove the SORN on the car?), we also don't want to insure the vehicle before the motability vehicle goes back as we wont get any NCB from the new insurer and that will cost us about an extra 500 in insurance (our current insurance price is about 500-600 but with 0 years no claims it goes up to around 1,000-1,100 - we have 3 years no claims with motability and I've held my driving licence for 6 years). I've read that you don't need this compulsory insurance if the vehicle is in trade, or between registered owners. That is one option, but how long after you buy a vehicle can you keep it in that status, would we be able to keep it like that for a few weeks or is it pretty much instant when we get the car. Current Use

     The use of mobile banking and payment are increasing and becoming every day tools at the check out line. Jesus Tellez Isaac and Sherali Zeadally focus on the design and implementation of mobile banking applications. Isaac and Zeadally explain that on the consumer’s side, in the PCMS payment protocol, “a software is required for purchase transactions” (2017, pg 602). The PCMS allows the consumer to store the consumer’s personal information such as contact information, bank information, and issuer ID. Consumers are using the mobile banking apps for managing their accounts, payments, budgeting, and shopping (online and in-stores). Just last year, a consumer and mobile financial services report by the Federal Reserve showed “mobile banking apps were used on 52% of smartphones in the US” (Discover, 2018). With the increase of technology and a “broadening array of options” the adoption of mobile financial services such as mobile banking and payment apps has risen (Federal Reserve, 2016). According to the Federal Reserve, in 2011, there were 43% of smartphone users with bank accounts that have reported that they “used mobile banking in the previous 12 months” (2016, pg. 5). In 2015, the use of mobile banking increased reaching 53% of smartphone users (Federal Reserve, 2016). In addition to mobile banking, mobile payments have also increased over time. Reported by the Federal Reserve, in 2011, 12% of smartphone users reported to use mobile payments and in 2014, the usage of mobile payment increased to 28% (2016). According to the American Banking Association, the 2 age groups that most utilize their banking accounts through mobile were age groups 18-29 year olds and 30-44 year olds (2017). This shows that the younger generations are  more current with the technology and apps that are used through smartphones.

     The use of mobile banking has steadily increased and is continuing to grow with the advancement of technology. Some common ways mobile banking is used is checking account balances, transferring money, checking deposits and making bill payments. With the simplicity of mobile banking apps, 94% of mobile baking users have checked their financial account balances or transaction inquiries using their bank’s mobile banking apps in 2015 (Federal Services, 2016). Another popular activity used by 58% of users of mobile banking is transferring money between accounts (Federal Reserve, 2016). The mobile banking apps also allow notifications from push notifications on smartphones, emails, and text messages. Depositing a check is also widely used by 48% of mobile banking users (Federal Reserve, 2016). Mobile banking allows depositing a check from anywhere, anytime. Depositing a check on mobile banking app uses a remote deposit capture (using a smartphone camera). Lastly, about 47% of mobile banking users make online bill payments from their bank accounts using a mobile phone (Federal Reserve, 2016).

     Mobile banking and mobile payments are very similar and play hand in hand. Stated by ISACA (2011), mobile payments are “payments for products or services between two parties for which a mobile device, such as mobile phone, plays a key role in the realization of the payment” (pg. 5). Some common ways mobile payments are used are bill payments, purchasing items online, purchasing items in stores, and sending money. Out of the activities listed, the most common way users use mobile payment is to pay their bills. There were 65% mobile payment users that had made mobile payment when paying their bills (Federal Reserve, 2016). About 42% of mobile payment users purchase physical items or digital content using a mobile phone, browser, or app (Federal Reserve, 2016). In addition to paying for an item online, 33% of users pay for items in a store. There are 25% of users that send money to friends or relatives using an app like Venmo or PayPal (Federal Reserve, 2016). Other mobile payments activities made by individuals in the United States are, parking, taxi and car services, public transit, making a donation through text message, and sending money to friends and relatives outside of the United States (Federal Reserve, 2016). Mobile payments are very easy to use and very convenient. Mobile payments can be used to pay for an item in a store or making payments through an app, website, or even a text message. The easiness of mobile payment through a push of a button or even just a text message concerns rise regarding the security of the technology.

The Nintendo Switch will soon be released in just about a month time and new information has surfaced. This detailed information consist of nearly everything you could want including the input options, size and dimensions, communication features, battery life and much much more. All with full featured photos for you to nerd out.

Surprisingly, Nintendo showed in text of a “Headphone mic. jack.” Which might mean that the Switch could potentially have built-in microphone support. Previously, the only way that gamers could chat was through its mobile phone smart app. So this hold the potential of mic support but until Nintendo actually tells the gaming community what it is, your guess is as good as mine.

As many of you already knew, the Nintendo Switch has 32gb of internal memory which isn’t a lot when compared current generation games. But don’t worry as the Switch storage can be expanded with microSD card. It is compatible with microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC cards. Depending on how you want plan to use your Switch console and whether you want to physically own your games or digitally own them is up to you. If you’re a big-time virtual console gamer, investing in a large capacity microSD card is the best option for you.

Nintendo did go into more detail about the general battery where it details that the internal battery is a lithium ion battery and it’s capacity is a 4310 mAh. Whereas previous Nintendo systems and accessories allowed gamers to replace their battery. It doesn’t seem that is going to an option. Nintendo does offer a paid replacement option if your battery needs to be replaced. Battery life can give you more than six hours but it depends on the intensity of the software and general usage of the system.

The HOME Menu interface is also making it’s official appearance where you’ll be able to “start games and select game settings.” You’ll also be able to manage your friends and user accounts as well as change the Switch system settings. That’s not all the features as there will be a News option about the latest games. I personally hope that this will be something that will resemble the iconic Nintendo Power magazine. There’s an Album section where you’ll be able to view your amazing screenshots and add text to them, all while sharing them on your social network.
