so I didn’t quite know what to do for this prompt at first since I couldn’t come up with an idea to convey a character was caring by a single action in a drawing. So I decided to use shape language and color. I also decided to do this in my sketchbook with watercolor which is something I’ve been meaning to learn how to do! I had a lot of fun drawing this along with adding sticky notes to the side drawing the character a couple other times (even though I forgot to add their hat). I’m sorry if the drawing looks a bit funky I’m still a beginner in using watercolor and only recently started to pick up on it, im looking forward to doing the other prompts!

Inktober 2020

ookay, so i know im a lil late to the party, given its already Oct. 2nd, but ive decided to participate in the challenge with the official inktober prompts list. 

that said, no, i dont support jake parker and his plagiarized book. if youre looking for illustrated guides and books pertaining to ink, read Pen and Ink Drawing: a Simple Guide by Alphonso Dunn, and not jakes inktober knock-off. plagiarism aint cool, and thats especially true when amplified by racial undertones. 

i would find another list of prompts for 2020, however, i have been unsuccessful in finding any prompt list that either doesnt glorify or pervert touchy subjects (ie. cannibalism, suicide, mental instability, ect), or one thats not oriented around a specific theme/interest (ie. OCtober, plaguetober, foodtober, ect).

id want to spend more time finding something that i could substitute for the official inktober prompt list, but at this point im worried about hitting a time crunch and losing motivation.  

so basically in normal english and not the bullshit academic wording ive been forced to use when writing shit for school/ when im trying to sound respectable and phat brained:

fuck inktober-man and fuck his plagiarized book that “borrows” from a POC’s original work. im stealing his prompts because im behind schedule, have no respect for his integrity and his monetization of inktober, and im honestly a “lazy taurus” whatever the fuck thats suppose to mean (i still dont get zodiacs, bro). Support Dunn too.
