Phantom of the opera Italy:

The Italian production will be on stage in Trieste from Tuesday 4th to Sunday 16th July 2023.

Ticket prices will vary from €29 (restricted view seats) to €130 (premium seats) depending on the day and the section of the theatre.

Midweek seats will be cheaper than weekend.

public ticket sales start Thursday 9th March

So I just saw poto in trieste and guys get ready for a strongly worded post about how AMAZING THAT WAS. HOW WERE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS PRODUCTION??? I won’t go into detail yet but it was leagues above both the broadway and west end productions I ve seen.

Let's take a moment to appreciate Earl Carpenter, who keeps giving us the crumbs of information we need to keep the exciment going. What a treasure.

Wish the Italian production also announced their understudies like the Spanish one.

So do I, but it’s possible they felt that understudies did not need to officially be announced since each run is 2 weeks at a time and maybe they feel it is unlikely they will need them. Similar to how they have not cast any swings.

Some of the cast has announced themselves that they are understudies with 2 people covering the male roles between themselves.

We are just waiting on people to announce they are Carlotta, Madame Giry & Meg understudies, although I feel I could guess them based on the cast.

The ones we know are:

Antonio Orler - cover Phantom, Raoul & André

Margherita Toso - cover Christine

Matt Bond - cover Firmin & Piangi

As soon as other understudies are confirmed I will be updating on the cast list although this cast is only confirmed for Trieste.

There will be some changes for Milan & Monte-Carlo since some cast have other commitments.
