I thought of this post today, coincidentally it was exactly 2 years ago today I was celebrating my first MTB ride (Goldilocks), launching Prairie Raven, signing up for @bcbikerace and a wild new life about to unfold. Suiting that it is Throwback Thursday. A bittersweet moment, then and today. This pic holds one of my favourite stories to tell as I'll never forget the sweet gesture of the chef on staff. When he was already busy with multitudes of tables, he saw me seated alone, checked with my server to confirm my solitude and so he sent out a dish while I waited. I read, I sipped, I watched love unfold and listened to the laughter of inside jokes between friends. The food was one of the best meals in my life. Trying to keep the trajectory going from that evening, occasionally unsteady, healing scrapes, sprinkled with a little adventure.....though this year has a few less nudes. 😳😳😳 #Repost @prairieraven • • • Took myself out for a celebration dinner this past weekend. I celebrated conquering fears, a milestone, a victory, the beginning of Prairie Raven and had many moments to reflect. It was odd seated in the centre of a beautiful restaurant surrounded by clicking glasses, laughter and witnessing romance but it was interesting to notice I couldn't ask for better company. @alloydining #prairieraven
