P J’s PokéAni Trivia Tuesday #13 (Global Tour edition)

This is part 3 of 5 PTTs digging into some really cool PokéAni facts from all over the world! This week’s global research was MASSIVE! I really wanted to cover as much EU as I can, since I know a lot of people in this fandom coming from Europe, but tried to make my post as minimal as I can! Due to a lot of info I’ve read, I will only mention 1 or 2 facts for each country (except U.K.). Good thing I had 2 weeks to prepare for this, otherwise this thing would have been more stressful to put together. Shoutout to all my European PokéAni peeps reading this! Let’s see if you may or may not know the trivia behind these countries 👀

Pokémon anime in EUROPE

In the UNITED KINGDOM DID YOU KNOW? The Pokémon anime famously aired on ITV, a public service network station that broadcasts in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

SM:TV Live was a live Saturday morning entertainment show that replace the Who's That Pokémon? segment with small sketches that featured the famous English comedic duo, Ant & Dec as hosts, having their own "PokéFight" and even performed their own Pokérap.

ITV has skipped episodes or canceled airings mid-series. These are planned as the TV guides published over a week before date of transmission reflect this. It commonly happens other animated shows in the line-up such as ReBoot, Cardcaptors, Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Pokémon has been cancelled prematurely TWICE on different TV channels! Once during the Orange Islands arc, and another just after Pokémon: Advanced started. Neither series has been seen on ITV since.

CN (Cartoon Network) TOO was the channel location for the world premiere of Pokémon Chronicles. The U.K. got their English dubbed The Legend of Thunder! specials first than the U.S. by a year early.

In other EU COUNTRIES DID YOU KNOW?

In the Netherlands (Ik wil ze allemaal!), Fox Kids announced that it would stop broadcasting Pokémon on March 2001. Around 32,000 complaining children called to Fox Kids in outrage because of this, but it turned out to be an early April Fool’s joke. On April 1st, the channel announced that the 3rd season of the anime would begin airing the same day. GOT’EEM!!!

In Iceland (Þarf að fanga þá!), only the first 54 episodes of the 1st season aired. The first five movies were also dubbed. They pulled the plug on the Icelandic dub due to the lack of popularity it received in the country.

In Finland (Omakseni saan!), it was the first Nordic country to air the Pokémon anime, with Denmark, Norway and Sweden followed shortly in the spring of 2000. While it may have been the first, many episodes of the first couple of seasons in the Finnish dub were not shown (or skipped?) for unknown reasons. In fact, Advanced Challenge was the first ever season to be shown completely in the country, and moving forward after that, every season have been broadcasted entirety as well.

In Sweden (Måste fånga fler!), the Battle Frontier season broadcasted exclusively online via TV4+ and TV4′s site, as it got skipped and did not air after Advanced Battle, going directly to the Diamond & Pearl series.

In the Czech Republic (Všechny chytit máš!), Ash Ketchum’s voice actor was Radek Škvor, who was 10 years old at the time when the series first reached the country. He was same age as his assigned character! Eventually he got replaced by his older brother, Jan Škvor some time during the XY series. Ash may be 10 forever, but not the VAs.

In Belgium, the Pokémon anime is distributed in two dubbed languages: Flanders (Belgian Dutch) and Wallonia (Belgian French).

In France (Attrapez-les tous!), they had an unprecedented 2-hour special for the first four episodes of the XY series on May 1st 2015 along with a bonus special airing Mega Evolution Special I afterwards. They did ANOTHER 2-hour special on April 13th 2016 with the premier of the first four episodes of the XY&Z season. The French sure do love the Kalos region...I mean isn’t Kalos based on the country of France?

In Greece (Τα θέλω τώρα εδώ! Ta thélo̱ tóra edó̱!), the anime first aired on Star Channel until it moved to Disney XD when they acquired the rights during Diamond & Pearl. Despite this, irregular broadcasts of specials and movies still show on Star Channel, especially during holiday seasons, but the regular series airs exclusively on Disney XD.

In Italy (Acchiappali tutti!), Brock's first Italian VA was Nicola Bartolini Carrassi. Who is Nicola you ask? He is a journalist, anchor, scriptwriter, anime expert, and the man who brought the Pokémon franchise to Italy in the first place. He has been chosen by Warner Bros, 4Kids, Pokémon INC., Nintendo Games Freak and Buena Vista to become the Italian dubbed voice of Brock and he has been praised for his work, even if it was only for 2 seasons. He left the show after the Orange Islands arc.

In Poland (Czy już wszystkie masz?), when the tenth season was dubbed by a new studio, Sun Studio Polska, they decided to ignore the previous cast of the series and choose all new actors for every character. There were a lot of mixed reactions among fans to the sudden recast, but in February 2009 when DP: Battle Dimension started, most of the original cast of the Polish dub were restored.

In Portugal (Vou apanhá-los todos!), the show aired in an irregular pattern, shifting from 6am to 10am, but it always in the same programing block, named LOL@SIC. On a side note, Ash Ketchum had no less than ten different Portuguese VAs over the years. Y I K E S

In Spain (¡Hazte con todos!), Adolfo Moreno has provided the voice of Ash Ketchum in the entire anime. This is quite rare as a lot of foreign dubs, constantly change VAs for their cast, and even the English dub had to recast Ash’s voice after Battle Frontier. One exception is the 3rd Pokémon movie and the Mewtwo Returns special since it had a different VA cast. On another interesting note, there were 2 different dubs for the Pokémon anime in Spain: an Iberian Spanish dub, and a Catalan dub.

In Norway (Fanger alle nå!), the setting of the Pokémon movie Giratina and the Sky Warrior is based on Norway's nature. Three places were used as inspiration; Sognefjorden, Jostedalsbreen, and Bergen. The scene with the Glacier threatening to destroy the town was based on a little town of Geiranger, which is threatened by a collapsing mountainside in real life! Speaking of other movie trivia, the single Don't Say You Love Me, promoting the official soundtrack worldwide for Pokémon the First Movie, was performed by the Norwegian group M2M.

In Denmark (Jeg ska' fange dem!), the anime took a 3-season break from Danish TV after the episode Charizard Chiils. The series would not return until Address Unown! (with a new cast of voice actors) leaving no explanation as to why the episodes in between were never aired.

In Ireland, there is no Irish dub in the country since over 90% of people there speaks English as their primary language, and what they got was the English dub from the United States. For some reason though, two episodes from the Hoenn saga didn’t air. Specifically speaking the episodes: The Bicker the Better and Who, What, When, Where, Wynaut?.

In Slovakia, only the first four seasons of the anime have been dubbed into Slovak, nothing else after. All the English theme songs were left in their original form, untranslated, however the Pokémon movies had both their opening and ending themes Slovak dubbed.

In Albania (Duhet ti kap!), Pokémon movies were dubbed in Albanian by "Jess" Discographic. This company is recognized for providing "illegal" dubbings of other shows they have done.

In Lithuania, the Pokémon anime debuted the Lithuanian dub at Christmas Eve of 2005 on BTV. The first seven Pokémon movies, on the other hand, aired at different channels, though the dates of their original airings cannot be traced and have gone lost.

In Germany (Komm und schnapp sie dir!), one of Ash’s German VAs is named Veronika Neugebauer. She shares the same name (sort of) with Verinoca Taylor who is famous for being the original English dub voice actress for Ash. Unfortunately, Neugebauer died during the production of dubbing Diamond & Pearl, and they had to bring back the original German VA for Ash, Caroline Combrinck, who previously quit the show to study in New York City. Ash is currently voiced by, Felix Mayer, Sun & Moon. *Also I want to briefly mention one of the largest German Pokéfan sites: Filb.de. because I have been to that site a lot looking at screen-caps, and even using some of them for my posts (specifically PokéAni Highlights/Rewind). Basically the German Serebii.net!

In Croatia (Fes-te'ls tots teus!), they have dubbed a few Pokémon movies in their language, however the theme music remained in English.

In Romania (Să îi prind pe toți!), the Romanian dub has aired the first 5 seasons in the country, but everything else after that was skipped EXCEPT Diamond & Pearl (Sinnoh League Victors was SKIPPED though), and Sun & Moon which just recently debuted last month (as of this post).

In Serbia (Треба да скупиш све Treba da skupiš sve!), the only seasons to be fully dubbed in Serbian dubbed is the original series and Black & White. Advanced Challenge, and some of Pokémon Chronicles were dubbed as well. In the very few Pokémon movies they have dubbed, the opening and ending themes remained in English.

In Bulgaria (Да ги уловим! Da gi ulovim!), the anime was originally broadcasted on Nova Television, but eventually made the jump to Disney Channel Bulgaria. Some other countries air the series on Disney as well, so I guess America wasn’t the first country to make the jump, huh?

In Russia (Всех их соберём! Vsekh ikh soberyom!), after the first 104 episodes of the original series were shown, the Pokémon anime was not broadcasted in Russia for SEVEN years. Many Russian fans wrote to TV channels asking them to bring back the anime. Countless rumors of why the ORT channel pulled the anime off air included: newspapers and the yellow press pressuring the station to cancel the show for showing “offensive” content, while some say that Pokémon was “brainwashing children with subliminal stimuli”. ORT was worried about its reputation, so they stopped airing Pokémon, and that they couldn’t make an agreement on the price of licensing the anime with the Japanese creators. On September 20th 2008, the Pokémon anime made its miraculous return to Russian television via the TNT channel, where they premiered the first episode of the Diamond & Pearl series.

I miss watching Jetix and catching whatever I missed on Saturday. I miss the cheesiness of 4Kids Saturday cartoons where Kaiba would jump out the window to avoid being pointed at, and I could vote for Yugioh 5D opening song online with a parents permission. I miss putting off my homework after school so I could watch Miguzi, singing along to Code Lyoko to the point my parents knew the words too. I miss Toon Disney where I got to watch Max and PJ be weird and have fun. I miss Boomerang where I could watch all the shows that I miss and shows I don't remember missing like Jabberjaw and Josie and the Pussycats, instead of just watching the episodes that aired last week. I miss Hannah Barbara and while I do not hate what's on TV now I really do miss everything that just seemed to disappear without a trace. I remember when Toonami said goodbye and the hype of it coming back. I remember waking up far too early or going to bed far to late to watch Bleach, Death Note, Ghost in the Shell and Inuyasha not really knowing what it was but loving it. I don't remember alot of it but I remember Big O. I remember when Chowder first made the joke about the Cartoon Network logo then I remember how that's not the logo anymore. I remember W.I.T.C.H. and how while I was always secretly hoping Will and Prince Phobos would fall in love and he'd quit being evil I was also enjoying the fact that not everything was for comedy and even things like Irma eventually learnihow to turn clothes pink was the coolest thing ever at the time. I remember Oban Star Racers and hoping every week that Don Wei would realize Molly was his daughter Eva. I remember a Nickelodeon where we had Pick-boy and slime everywhere, I remember El Tigre, I remember reruns of Legends of the Hidden Temple. I remember watching Disney to see Gargoyles and I vaguely remember Toad Patrol, heck I actually remember changing the channel and finding Tokyo and Monster... I miss Avatar the last Airbender.. I miss that chunk of time that was "Mine"

Kamen Rider 45th Anniversary File: Dragon Knight

2009 in the USA

The Great Recession was “ending”....but its effects would linger on for several years.

Power Rangers was off the air at the end of RPM and a minor actor on the Mighty Morphin’ season was put on death row for murdering a couple with his wife as an accomplice.

Way back in 2006, producer Aki Komine was given permission by Toei to license a Kamen Rider Series for international distribution. Aki then chose SFX costume designer and filmmaker Steve Wang of live action Guyver movie duology fame, his brother Micheal Wang and a film crew to create a TV pilot of an adaptation to Kamen Rider Ryuki. This was later leaked online for KR fans around the world to see before being taken down in 2008. The general idea Aki, the Wang brothers and later a company called Adness Entertainment had was that Kamen Rider had potential to work in the US market as an action show.

Adness, unlike Saban, knew what Kamen Rider was and did not try to cheapen it to ride the coat tails of something that was a success in its own right or talk down to its audience. Kamen Rider just needed a minor bit of tweaking to account for the differences in cultures, but not so much that would make the source material unrecognizable or diminish its entertainment value. The target demographic after all was, like its Japan original, for pre-teens and teens but with enough of an entertainment factor for an adult audience to appreciate.

One thing was made clear by Aki to Toei: Don’t call it Masked Rider for international release, just call it Kamen Rider. This was done as Aki thought Masked Rider sounded “weird” and Toei wanting to distance themselves from Saban’s attempt to cash in on the beloved series.

Yes, Masked Rider is so awful to the fans of KR that even Japan, the land that created Kamen Rider, wants nothing to be associated with it. (Also, Masked Rider as a super hero name is/was trademarked by Marvel in the US).

The studio shopped around for networks and eventually got 4Kids to pick it up in late 2008. But, since the company was run by people who had an issue with anything that had what they deemed to be excessive violence in it, the Network later did whatever it could to sabotage the show’s airing schedule and tried to interfere with the production. This ultimately backfired on them in a karmic way after Dragon Knight ended, but more on that later.

Dragon Knight is notable for being the first and only Kamen Rider show to ever receive an Emmy award. The Daytime Emmy Award was for Outstanding Stunt Coordination, a relatively new category for the Emmys at the time. The award was given to the show’s coordinator Dorenda Moore, who aside from this series would later go on to work on Thor as the stunt double for Natalie Portman.

The award was well deserved, as the fight scenes are fantastic and truly reflect what the action of tokusatsu should be with stylized kung-fu martial arts. Helping this was the choice of 5 time martial arts champ Matt Mullins being chosen to play the secondary Rider Wing Knight.

The series also gets praise by the fandom for doing what no Kamen Rider show had ever dared to do at this point: Let a Female Rider actually...*gasp*.. LIVE?! And not only that, we got a female supporting cast character donning the persona of a Rider when the first is defeated and put in the Shadow Realm-y Place of Non-Deadness. While some call it a cop out, this is the one time the ineptness of 4Kids on the subject of death worked in its favor by the USA having 1 LIVING female Kamen Rider in the form of two heroines taking turns donning a single Rider belt trounce Toei Japan’s then count of 0 living female Riders. (Natsumi Hikari as Kiva-la wasn’t created yet). I refuse to see it in any other way than a blessing and in typical egotistic patriot fashion my countrymen are often stereotyped with, we more or less showed Japan female Riders can be in a show and kick butt. USA USA USA USA!

When Heisei Kamen Rider celebrated its 10 Riders anniversary, the show was brought over to Japan for broadcast and dubbed by many actors who were members of the cast of the Heisei part of the franchise. (Including Kenji Matsuda who played Wing Knight’s Japanese counterpart Kamen Rider Knight basically playing himself as an American XD). The show proved to be popular enough in Japan that the series got a sequel novel.

But sadly, America did not share the love, as changes in time slots and eventual removal of the show meant some fans didn’t get to witness it at all or only up to a certain point as the final episode only aired in Mexico and on 4Kids subpar online service, which went offline two years later and then died completely under the Saban Vortexx brand in 2014 along with the block.

To top it all off, this series is one of those “Never on DVD/Blu-Ray ever” shows in the USA, meaning torrents and streams or a cheap foreign legit or bootleg DVD copy are a fan’s only options. Which is ironic considering releasing the show consistently here would have prevented such a thing.

But KR fans and people who disliked 4Kids poor treatment of their favorite shows got the last laugh. The CW4Kids block died in 2009 and 4Kids went nearly kaput in 2012 as it filed for bankruptcy after a lawsuit and then went bankrupt again in 2016. The company’s main branch is struggling to stay afloat and only has a cash flow of $3.33 million which is in the negative based on reports a few years ago and only 16 employees are currently working there. (SO for 3.3 Million you could buy 4Licencing!) So, yeah, quite the fall form grace by the studio that once licensed and dubbed the Pokemon anime. (though given the One Piece rap and Dragon Knight’s treatment, I’d say it was well deserved karma.)

But enough talk, let’s Dive into the Mirror of Adaptation!

Real Name: Kit Taylor (No relation to Jack Taylor, a person known for great parties. *MST3K joke*)

Kit Taylor is an orphaned teen who was framed a lot for being a thief and lived in a foster home. He went searching for his father after he turned 18 and came upon a strange looking card deck on a table in the old apartment he spent his earlier years in with his dad. The deck attracts a giant red dragon (wow, deja vu), who tries to attack him. He then witnesses a monster from a reflection try to eat someone and a strange man comes to her rescue who dons a suit of armor to fight the beast. Kit learns the man’s name is Len, who demands Kit hand over his “Advent Deck” and to not form a contract with the dragon he just saw. Kit gets visions of his father telling him to form a contract with the dragon and he does becoming Kamen Rider Dragon Knight!.

The Kamen Riders are warriors of the dimension of Ventara, a reflective mirror world like ours. An evil named General Xaviax has stolen some of the Advent Decks of the heroes of Ventara after defeating them and is seen giving them to evil or easily manipulated humans to kill Len and manipulate Kit into serving him.

After some duels with other Kamen Riders, resolving misunderstandings to forge new alliances and a stock plot about evil twins, the heroic 13 riders defeat Xaviax and both worlds are saved. Kit continues to use his powers as a superhero to help others alongside Len and a female Rider while the other human riders have their memories erased.

Powers and Gear:

Same as Ryuki’s but he also has an energy shield during transformation and a cool unnamed Rider Machine bike.

Xaviax is a scheming conqueror who has placed Ventara under his rule and now seeks to abduct all humans on the Earth as his slaves to rebuild his homeworld of Karsh.

Mirror Monsters function the same as their Ryuki counterparts, only this time they are artificially made soldiers for Xaviax’s army who kidnap humans to mass collect DNA to prefect a long range teleporter to Karsh to abduct all 7 billion humans on Earth and enslave them.

Afterward

Adness tried to make a movie out of Dragon Knight and adapt another Kamen Rider series...but the company could not do it and have gone uncharacteristically quiet, leading some to believe that Adness went bankrupt during the recession. The company did still exist in 2016 (sort of), trying to cash in on Gangam Style by investing in K-Pop....apparently that didn’t work as the official site has gone eerily quiet and the Japan office site has not been updated in 2 years. So either the company is laying dormant or is totally dead. It is as far as we know, a Schrodinger media corporation.

Due to the FCC regulations, angry parents and the rise of internet streaming and cable TV networks not being strict on censorship opening new avenues for creators, Saturday morning kids TV no longer exists as of 2014. But given the modern tech we have, fans can create their own Saturday morning lineups, so if you feel nostalgic for some henshin action by way of adaptation, seek out Dragon Knight.

Greetings Fanboys and Fangirls everywhere, After suffering from Cartoon All Stars to the Rescue and the second season of Earth Defence Club, I just go a visit from the Freelance Police whom some of you might Recognize from there 1993 Hit the Road game, Sam & Max... Yeah Sam & Max are characters I never talked about on my Review page before, Basically starting out as Comic Strip Characters like Garfield, They began to hit big with there games and from what I've seen, They do not suck like Earth Defence Club in the like, But the Tell-tale game are what is the Resurgence to the Franchise, They came to me with a file of Complaint of Evil forces in the Neighbourhood, Alternate Dimensions making this one look odd, making fun of some Magical Boy groups without a licence, And turning a School Idol group evil... So they might be condemning my statues for the time being, But Max did say (Max: look on the bright side, You can stop with Phelous for the time being.... JWB: SQUIDWARD JWBS REVIEWS IS MOVIENG OUT!!!!!!!!!!) And so I'm Relocated in the Basement of Phelous's house, JWB: Thanks Phelan. JWB: Well you have a good point there Phelous, I don't think I have before. Considering that I've only covered three Pretty Cure All Stars movies so far (And probably defending the second DX movie and Phrasing two villains from Spring Carnival) I don't think I covered one of the Single team movies in general, in this case it shall be Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart the Movie released back in 2005 (Which is the first Pretty Cure movie ever to be made) with the Group that started this all, That's right everyone Cure Black and Cure White, along with there new recruit or stand-in Aid Shiny Luminous, Lets talk about the history, Well this Team started in 2004 Futari wa Pretty Cure or simply known to us all as Pretty Cure (PreCure for sort) this was the first series in the Pretty Cure metaseries created by Izumi Todo(Whom has become something of a God of PreCure). The original series, directed by Daisuke Nishio, aired on TV Asahi between February 1, 2004 and January 30, 2005 in the same timeslot as Izumi Todo's previous work Ashita no Nadja. It was the first of the Pretty Cure series to have received an adapted English-language version, Let me explain that more On February 25, 2006, 4Kids Entertainment announced broadcasting and distribution rights for Pretty Cure in the United States, though never produced an English version of it. In July, 2008, Toei Animation began making episodes available through IGN's Direct2Drive service subtitled into English, and have also started making those same episodes available for free internet streaming on the Crunchyroll website. The subtitles were produced by "Nippon Golden Network", a Hawaii-based cable network that broadcasts Asian programming (mostly from Japan). In April 2009, Funimation used to license the English-subtitled version of the series for online distribution on the company's website. The series is currently available for streaming in North America on Crunchyroll and Hulu. The theme song of the English dub is: Together We Are Pretty Cure. The English dub makes several changes to character names, cultural references and theme music, though mostly retains the original version's main soundtrack. I didn't think it was that bad, Would have been better then what 4kids would have done.) with the success of the first season A direct sequel, Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart, or simply Max Heart, aired in Japan between February 6, 2005 and January 29, 2006. (Unfortunately, This season along with the rest in the future never got dubbed at this point) Hence where we are not Reviewing the first Movie in the Franchise. Now the movie was directed by Atsuji Shimizu, I would look into some of the other things he's done but on Wikipedia, there's not much to look into I'm afraid, But at least we might learn more about them in the future, Now that we have that out of the way, Let's dive into the first Movie Pretty Cure movie that came into existence.

We begin our Story in a Dark and wet cave and for some reason a Pirate Ship is in it, (Wait a second, WE FOUND CAPTAIN MORGAN'S SHIP!) No it is home to our Antagonist of the movie the Dark Witch where she is looking into her Crystal ball for something that's interesting catches her eyes, Now she is voiced by Katsuki Masako now this might shock some people... She was the Voice of Sailor Neptune in the original Sailor Moon Series, She explains that she want's the Garden of Hope's Diamond line (Well that gonna cost you a lot) so she sends her minions the Zakenna's (Which the Pretty Cures of the first to seasons would usually fight) Now the opening theme here is from the first season which in this is the Max Heart version, Now to many fans the song is Iconic, How they put the opening in this movie kinda makes it feel like your watching an episode, Now we cut to our main protagonists of this movie and the Show itself let's start with Cure Black real name Nagisa Misumi who is voiced by non other then Yōko Honna whom some of you might know as Rin form xxxHolic, Ere from Oh my Goddess and Chika from The Cat Returns, In the English dub she is named Natalie Blackstone and was voiced by Rocio Barahona She is often known for her catchphrase of yelling "Unbelievable!" (Okey if you seen my other three Precure reviews before, and remember when I call her an Idiot, You must think I flat out dislike Cure Black, Which is not true, I do have some respect for her Character Development but when it comes to her personality... Well, I like to think of her as a special case, That or I like to make jokes about her) and Cure White real name Honoka Yukishiro who is voiced by Yukana who you might remember as Yuri Tanima from Wedding Peach and Mailin Li from Cardcaptor Sakura, In the English dub she is named Hannah Whitehouse and was voiced by Michelle Molineux, I sometimes see her as the Brainy girl to Nagisa's Stronger points like Yin & Yang are eating at Tako Cafe, and Akane Fujita / Alex Fujita who is voiced by Mikako Fujita says that if Nagisa keeps eating so fast and improperly, she'll never find a boyfriend. I'd take her word Nagisa, We wouldn't want your Female figure to go all Donute inside, But Hikari asks if it is Shougo / Shawn... Which makes her head blush, (Don't Hide it from me Nat, I seen the season where your going Red) Hikari Kujo aka Shiny Luminous by the way is voiced by Rie Tanaka who was Mars in Pokémon Diamond & Pearl and Shuri Kurosaki from Asura Cryin' (Good times) It's also not helped when He and his friend Kimata arrive, but is seems they are preparing for a Run... With Nagisa missing her chance to say something to the guy, I sometimes get the idea that she's afraid of boys, , Not sure if it's true or not but I can always speculate, After the boys left, Akane, Hikari, and Honoka were laughing in front of Nagisa, making her feel offended and almost went away, before Honoka noticed a diamond on her neck. Nagisa returned and everyone said it's really pretty. Akane-san said that she gifted this to herself for her birthday. While everyone were looking at the diamond, someone with a brown coat and hat was watching them. (Oh god it the demon creeper from Jeepers Creepers), While the girls and there Fairies Mipple said that she'd like to have one, and Mepple said that he'll definitely give her one someday. (phelous: HAHAHAHAAA HE said Mipple and Mepple HAHAHaaa) They got into love-love mode but suddenly returned to their commune forms, sensing a stalker. It keeps asking if they are really Pretty Cure. The girls were prepared to fight, and that figure kept asking them. Then more voices came from the invisible figure and he took of his coat. It appeared there were many things inside him and they started attacking Nagisa, Honoka and Hikari. The girls transformed into Pretty Cure and Shiny Luminous. And let me tell you something about the Transformation in this, IT's like they have been turned into Metal like the Liquid Metal T-1000 from Terminator 2, Shiny Luminous how ever doesn't have the same idea, But let me tell you something, She is "Life of the Queen" in human form after the Queen got split apart following her last encounter with the Dark King. They defeated those thingsand they reveal there true colours (Phelous: OH DEAR GOD, THE CREEPER IS REALLY THE GREMLINS, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES GIRLS!!! JWB: Noo... It's not the Creeper, It's much worse.) it appeared to be normal frog mascots with elastic arms. Oh god... This are the Courageous frog Warriors of the Garden of Hope. (Which I'm guessing is a Sister Location to the Garden of Light) we have Round I believe is the leader Oval, Heart, Pear, Trilliant, Marquis and.... GRRRR Square AHAHHHHHHHHHHHH They reveal to be that they were testing the Cures because they wanted them to protect their home world, the Garden of Hope. They explained their story about the Dark Witch, trying to thief their precious Diamond Line. Mipple, Mepple, and Pollun said that it's probably something similar to the Garden of Light's Prism Stones. They will help them; however, Hikari notices Akane will be really busy today. Then Honoka's grandma came, and they had to hide everyone in the closet. She asked to take off the laundry because it's going to rain. Sure deal with the Daily tasks first, I'm sure nothing bad will come while Time passes by... Later, the mascots kept asking them to come right now. Pesky little buggers aren't they, They said, that they'll give them charms - the proofs of courageous warriors in the Garden of Hope,, I guess that's the best way of Bribing them into it. So they go off and... It looks like they get encased in a Diamond as well (Phelous: I'm sure they might die due to lack of Oxygen, Knowing there might not be any air holes in them) http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/prettycure/images/c/ce/Goh1.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20150616115347 Is it me or does the Garden of Hope look like a Diamond shaped version of Earth... I'm just saying cause there's some similarities in it. So they land in the most Meateor hitting earth like manner and seems Pretty Cure's Mascots are sleeping, Ahh good they might need the rest. But unfortunately for Pretty Cure... They'll be traveling to where the Frogs will guild them... on foot... (Khadger: Well, the Lang travel on foot might gain them some VP, But they might need some weapons to fight off some enemies along the way), They finally make it to a Castle that... Just an even bigger Diamond then the rest, These Damn frogs are living the dream aren't some enemies along the way), They finally make it to a Castle that... Just an even bigger Diamond then the rest, These Damn frogs are living the dream aren't that's when they meet the Prince... Why... They also head over to the Fountain of Hope where they are looking at a Frog Statue, I kid you not, It's explained that this is the Guardian God of the Fountain, The Kero Kero God, And gee, I wonder what there Queen will be like, I must question the idea of everything even the buildings being made of a Mineral that's is... harder then glass, the Garden of Hopes must have this very weird Diamond based economy, (Phelous: I can imagine some Pirates and Treasure Hunter's going crazy for this one, Isn't that Right Old Man? WOW This worlds fortune most be higher then my Cousins bank account, Old Mayor, ) So they meet the Queen who Greets them with her Horned Butler What the Damn hell is he? He then gives Pretty Cure the Diamond Line which is just a Necklace Earrings and a Bracelet, So that is what the Dark Witch is after... Not much to see there, Alright, And your entrusting the Girls that are still new to there upgrades season with it, you dumb shit, And the reason why they are entrusting them with them is that they are the Queens B-Day presents, Fare enough... and it gives hope to all the worlds, and if the Diamond Line is stolen, then all the hope is lost and all the worlds (including Garden of Rainbows) will be deserted in darkness, (This is quite a lot to take in so, Please take your time) before the trio agreed to help them. Later, when the mascots told girls about the party, And this is where I point out Why I really hate Square... Because he is the Biggest Ass-hole of the Group, Square opposes the Cures' help, and proves that the warriors should be protecting the Diamond Line, and now walks away. (Phelous: Trust issues much?) Anyway the mascots told girls about the party, and Pollun awakened. He met Marquis and they became friends. Honoka follows to talk with Square, but when they tried talking, And like a Prick he just ran away. And things start to get unsavoury, At the Party Square started making fun of them, that they can't work alone, only by combining their powers. (NEVER INSULT THERE FIGHTING TECHNICKS) Nagisa got furious at him and ran away, which makes Mepple follow her. Nagisa getting pissed like this is like me getting Angry at Square at this point. Don't forget She's bigger then him so She'd squash the Basterd. Then the prince came, and asked, did the witch already came. Honoka lied, that she went to patrol outside. (Okey I know that Telling the Prince on Square's Ass-hole behaviour might discredit him in front of everyone in the Party might make you girls look like bigger Asses, But Lying to the Prince is probably the Worse thing you can do, Have you heard of the Story of the Boy who cried Wolf, I though you where smarter then this Honoka?) Meanwhile, everything started and the Queen came out wearing the Diamond Line. She blessed the diamonds of the citizens, and went outside. Until.... Dark Witch Finally shows up to interrupted the celebration and begins to attack with her Zakenna, formed into a pirate ship. (Well gotta hand it to her, She is quiet creative) The knights tried battling her, and she transformed front of her ship to shark Zakenna. Without Nagisa, Honoka and Hikari could just watch. Then Hikari transformed to Luminous to fight until Nagisa comes, (Blame Square for making her Run off) but she was beaten by one shot... The witch triumphantly stole the Diamond Line from the Queen, According to the Dark Witch, she is one of the servants of the Dusk Zone, and her goal is to resurrect the Dark King with the Diamond Line, (Okey, Now I must say something about the Dark Witch's design, Abit alright but All I have to say Yish to that Hair do, Did Taz do his Spinning on there head?) since all the world will be imbalanced. Luminous halted her, but the witch knock her unconscious. Nagisa finally arrived to transform to Pretty Cure. (Nagisa: Sorry sorry, I was late, I had some minor Traffic involving Party people to deal with. Honoka: Ohh That's okey, Traffic Jams involving running crowds are hectic at times.) They tried fighting back, but they become flimsy, before the Dark Witch disappears. (Well that didn't go so well) Everyone, especially Square, blamed Black, (WOW, Not even the slightest amount of Remorse from the Blue Frog, And Admits that he was right without even acknowledging the whole they can't transform without the other SQUARE YOU F%$@ING MISRABLE FROG OF HATE!!!!!!, The Beast was at least was a sympathetic character when you get to know him more in Beauty and the Beast. And why are the rest of you Blaming Nagisa for this little Defeat you Dumb shits?) but Mipple and Mepple defend her. Sadly enough, Black just apologized to everyone and went away crying. So the just asked these girls to protect the Diamond Line without getting information about this Pretty Cure Group, That's abit rushed don't you think? Loo I admit, Maybe they screw up abit... on some occasions, But was this really necessary? This just pits some of the fairies as Sort-sighted Arrogant little Ass-hats that would kick anyone that screws up some of the most simplest tasks, Which is... Wrong And... I fell sorry for Cure Black in this, I don't blame her for being late for the battle, If Square had kept his Frogy mouth shut, Then the Out come would have been different, After the prince talks to Black and giving her his Badge of a Warrior, Then Black was walking the hall when White called her. They decided to go and take back the bracelet. Everyone (except Square, who was still thinking of them as burdens) (JWB: Square just shut the f#@$ up! Phelous: And I though Toad was annoying) seemed to be forgiven Black. Without the Diamond Line, the Fountain of Hope started parching, and the Garden of Hope started being wrecked too. Then everyone flied to the place where the witch is with the same spell. The prince tried to follow them, but he couldn't travel without his charm. (Then Why didn't you have another one in your Room... The People of the Garden of Hope are ether crazy or Just Stupid?) So they make it to the Ship Graveyard and... It seems she's been gathering a lot of Ships, I'm not impressed, I mean where's the Titanic? until the bat Zakenna broke the diamond, making them fall. White had to save Black from falling, because she can't swim. (Really Cure Black, You can't swim, Haven't you taken Swimming classes at school Nat?) While the battle goes on the Dark Witch decides Hay I want to fight Pretty Cure to. she prepares to battle the Cures. Square tries punching her with his elastic abilities, but she moved quickly and used a move on Square. YAY the Ass-holes got what he desearved, Pretty Cures decided to use Marble Screw Max, but the witch dodged the move with her gigantic dark element. Now, every ship was set ablaze. (JWB: Phelous, Just how powerful is this Witch? Phelous: It's Over 9000!!! JWB: WHAT 9000?) Anyway The girls tried to save everyone, but Marquis was missing, and Round finds his torn cape. Square blamed Pretty Cure,(IT WAS THE WITCHES FAULT YOU WALKING BLUE MISTAKE OF NATURE!!! I'm this close to ringing that Frogy neck of yours) but everyone else said, that it was the witch's fault. Then the charms reacted to the bracelet in order to discover Marquis. Well that's useful, So The Cures fight against the bats to proceeded to the witch and steal the ball from the Dark Witch. Pretty Cure were battling the witch, while the mascots carried the bracelet into the Garden of Hope, and started carrying it to the palace. While Battling Cure Black just remembered something, that today is a sale at chocolate store, and because of that witch she won't get in time to buy them (Cure Black, that's not important to this plot, though... Idiot!). But To the Girls credit there Fighting stills are kinda fast pace (Phelous: JWB, What's the status on Pretty Cures Powers? JWB: It's over 8000!! Phelous: 8000... That's not to bad) but she fired her move right in front of the girls' faces, making them collapse. Then Marquis came out of the ship to the Black, and the witch flew back to the castle to take back the bracelet. Well at least the Prince is Helping the Frogs take the bracelet to the Castle, Marquis cried of Pretty Cure. He said the spell, but nothing happened. (Holy shit are they really dead?) He started crying again, but the charm the prince gave to Black reacted. Trouble comes when The witch sent her bat Zakenna to fight the frog mascots, while she herself headed to palace. Prince and Hikari got to the palace, but the witch quickly appears. Prince tried battling the witch with his sword, but he was trembling, (Phelous: You know the Prince is bit of a weak moron isn't he?) even though he faces his fear. The Dark Witch fired at the prince, but Hikari sacrificed herself, and passes out. (NOT AGAIN, I'm getting the idea that She's not the most useful without her fellow Cures) Then Black and White got mad and stood to fight. (Ohh shits going down now!) The witch summoned dozen of bat Zakennas, and Black and White defeated them with one blast. (JWB: Phelous... What are the readings now? Phelous: T.t...t... 10'000!!!!!!!) Alright it's the final level and The witch transformed to her true form and started attacking cures. The girls were weak, but they still stood. White said, that for them to losing is "Really unbelievable". (Cure Black Hey!! That's my line! Cure White: Ohh Sorry, I couldn't think of anything else to say) The Queen now regenerates and commands everyone to give their powers to the girls. They have to believe in the cures and the diamonds. Everyone stood in circle around the cures, and gave them powers. Hikari woke up being transformed to Luminous. The Dark Witch summons her attack at everyone, but Square sacrificed himself barely to deny the attack. Ahh that was pretty Noble of him to Sacrifice his own existence for there's, Maybe he's learned something from this... But then again... Maybe not. Everyone, including Square, gave the girls their charms. They transformed into golden versions, and have the ability to fly and were too fast for the witch. allowing Pretty Cure to defeat the Witch for good... Okay there golden forms are nothing special in my opinion, Just gold versions of there Precure cloths with some extra features, At least it's not as stupid at Power Ranger's Metallic Armour that's really Glitter. The Garden of Hope and the Fountain of Hope reverted to normal. After a really tearful goodbye (With the Acceptation of Square having al little bit of Character Development), the girls returned back to their home. with Square in tears, (JWB: Ahh I love the sound of a Crying Ass-hole, What about you Phelan? Phelous: Yes, Feed me your tears you little Basterd Hahahahaa) And so this Movie ends with Hikari came back, Akane said that it's still her break. Honoka worried, that she didn't took off the laundry her grandma mentioned earlier. Then Nagisa saw a frog outside. Honoka claims that it's the Kero Kero God. The girls decided to try flying just the 2 of them, but nothing happened, reminding this playfully. Not sure that's how the Frog God works but that's gonna be something I'll have to accept without question, So Phelous did we learn something from this? that WE HATE THIS MOVIE COMPLETELY!!!!!

Okey Truth be told, We didn't hate it completely, It was... Okey for Pretty Cures first outing into movies, It's by all means not perfect, But it's enjoyable but Frustrating in places, Feels like it could have been a Movie that would Bridge the First season and the Second season, But it's alright, The Animation is okey for the most part, Probably the same budget as the show, Funny because this feels like a three part Episode, So I give this first Pretty Cure movie 7 out of 10, Also Square is an Idiotic and Untrusting Ass-hole, The other Frogs should have killed him for being this stupid, (But then Phelous and JWB see Square Hungged and such image shocked the two Reviewers) Ohh I guess we get the pleasure of Ghostbusting Square now... Man this is bad... Hope Sam & Max don't bust me for Murdering a Frog Mascot.

Top 10 things that would make Nickelodeon great again

Hey guys! Since it's close to the American inauguration, I thought I's count down not-Lincoln Loud's top ten things that would make Nickelodeon great again. If you like what you read, don't forget to reblog so more people are aware of this: 1. Treat nothing like SpongeBob. Every show isn't SpongeBob. Each show has it's own individual touch. Harvey Beaks was off-beat and unconventional in it's humour. Invader Zim targeted an older audience, Avatar and Korra were both story-driven action cartoons. Just because it isn't SpongeBob, doesn't mean it won't sell. Just look at the success of The Loud House. Everyone loves that show! Nickelodeon has so many different series that they brush away and forget about. Specifically Yu-Gi-Oh! and TMNT. Those are some of the most well known franchises in America. Yu-Gi-Oh is one of the most well known anime franchises (along with Sailor Moon.) You could walk up to anyone on the street and ask them about TMNT and there's a good chance they will have at least heard of it. 2. Put Kamen Rider on the network. If they practically own every other thing that aired on the 4Kids blocks back in the day (Yu-Gi-Oh!, Digimon, Winx Club, TMNT, etc.) then they should put Kamen Rider on the network. Nickelodeon already has Super Sentai (known as Power Rangers here in the states.) I personally think that any Kamen Rider series (Ghost or EX-Aid in particular) would attract an older audience and boost ratings for them. 3. Branch out. Listen, I think everyone understands that Nickelodeon's age group is around ages 6-11; but they have to remember that kids aren't the only ones that watch the network. These kids have older siblings and parents that watch shows with them. 4. Treat shows with respect. This is one of the reasons that Nickelodeon is the definition of scum on Earth. Once they realise a show isn't working, they move it to the Nicktoons channel, which eventually gets it cancelled. I've seen this done with an array of shows. The most notable is "The Legend of Korra." After getting moved to Nicktoons, Nick aired the last episodes exclusively online. 5. Give new franchises a chance. This is happening more recently. Everyone remembers when the network turned down Adventure Time twice, for Fanboy and Chum-Chum. Adventure Time went on to become majorly successful on Nickelodeon's rival network: Cartoon Network. They seem to be giving more things a chance however. The Loud House has done well, I have hope for the new Mysticons series (even though it seems like the most corporate show of the new decade. For those that are confused, Mysticons is being developed by Nelvana, Nickelodeon, Playmates, and the Topps Trading Card Comapny.) 6. Be more flexible. This has worked very well for Cartoon Network, who saw a change in the game with shows such as Adventure Time, Regular Show, The Amazing World of Gumball, and most notably: Steven Universe. Disney had an animation revolution with Gravity Falls. What did Nickelodeon have at this time? Why, they had SpongeBob, Sanjay and Craig, SpongeBob, Fanboy and Chum Chum, SpongeBob, and SpongeBob. They also had Korra, which they treated like crap. They had Harvey Beaks, which did only slightly better than Korra. If the Nick execs. were more flexible when it came to content, then a lot more people would be watching Nickelodeon. 7. Go back to cartoons. Dear Nick, I used to watch you all of the time back in the day. I loved getting up to watch the old SpongeBob, the old Fairly Odd Parents, Danny Phantom, MLAATR, Avatar, Chalkzone, etc. But then once I saw your other side, I was disgusted. Don't get me wrong; I loved Drake and Josh and Ned's Declassified. But then you became Disney Channel, but worse. I try sifting through all of your garbage just to watch some good shows. I see sitcoms all of the time on the Disney Channel. (I like Girl Meets World, and now it's ending.) Everyone loved you because of your quality animation. You had it all: Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Ren & Stimpy, CatDog, Rocko's Modern Life (love that theme song!) But now all I see is Henry Danger, School of Rock, Game Shakers, etc. I left out The Thundermans from this list because I think it has the potential (for reference, please go watch their "Secret Revealed" special.) to be a good show. You used to be all about the animation. Now you have two animated shows on your main channel: A good show, and modern SpongeBob. 8. Stop trying to be Cartoon Network. Nickelodeon, Please, I can't stress this enough. You ARE NOT CARTOON NETWORK! I don't care if Teen Titans Go! is working for them, you shouldn't be following the same formula. You want ratings? Look at Gravity Falls over at Disney. That show attracted people of all ages! I understand that people hate you, but that's because you have disgusting quality, just like Cartoon Network. Avatar did well. What happened to the sequel? You threw any hope away, just because of ratings. 9. Care about content. I cannot stress this enough. My generation grew up during the golden age of animated television. We had Powerpuff Girls, Danny Phantom, Samurai Jack, Avatar, Invader Zim, etc. What do the kids of today have to watch? They have Sanjay and Craig, Breadwinners, and modern SpongeBob. They also have The Loud House but that show is good. 10. Make it so every show has a chance. Nick moved Fairly OddParents to Nicktoons. Not only that, it got moved to 9PM EST. Since Nicktoons functions on Eastern Standard Time, we West Coasters have to remember to watch it at 6PM. This isn't the only instance. I try to watch Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V on Nicktoons. They say it's on at 10. I have to wake up at 7 just to watch it (good thing I can watch the subbed version online for free somewhere...) It's like they want these shows to get cancelled. In the end, I understand that this isn't going to change Nickelodeon in anyway. I'm just optimistic is all. If you finished this list, then good for you. It would be swell if you could reblog this so that it gets more attention. Let's hope for a better Nickelodeon in 2017 (P.S. If for some reason someone who is currently working for Nickelodeon does read this, then pay particular attention to number 2.) Ciao.
