one day town of fobo will be nothing but a memory to foolish. do you think hell remember tubbo and smile fondly or will he blur into the crowd of everyone foolish has met in his many years?
I stumbled upon the reupload of Baghera’s vod from her first day of qsmp on yt. I just had to watch. Although I just skimmed through it, it’s amazing to see how the friendship of Baghera, Forever and Bbh was foreshadowed in the beggining. When everyone split off into different groups, the first group Baghera went with was with Bbh & Forever with their 3 eggs and I think that’s such a beautiful coincidence. It also foreshadowed q!forever and q!baghera’s sibling like relationship. Like the first time Baghera ever had a conversation with Forever was when he was warning Baghera that a dirt block ahead of her was probably a mine and for her not to step on it. She went like “oh this?” And proceeded to slowly step onto it looooool. Luckily it was not a mine 😂
Also Pomme really is Baghera’s daughter. Near the adoption center when they were naming her, everyone freaked out because there was a possible dirt mine block behind her and everyone was freaking out and telling Pomme and everyone else to back away from it. Pomme just slowly backed up onto it.
thinking abt how I think it started right when bad lured bagi to lucky ducks and let her get absolutely beaten up in lucky ducks but also laughed and saved her as many times as needed. How he cheered her on when she had to beat a clown to death with her frying pan, he named a pick for her emergency bacon, he gave her lots of gifts just because he can.
I think rly tho it was the moment when Bagi told him she was a pacifist and she would not fight only trying to defend herself and Bad said something along the lines of "You're not going to last here but I can't wait to see you try." I know a lot of other people have told Bagi that she's not going to last but I guess it sounded like the way Bad said it was really supportive of her in my mind.
He also doesn't think she's going to last but he doesn't think she should change her morals either, he supports that this is a hill worth dying on for her (and believe me in qsmp she will die on that hill /lh) He pokes and prods her but she's been pretty firm in her beliefs (kinda, she wants to kill and torment cucurucho(honestly based of her)) and hrf I just really like their friendship He gave her emergency bacon and strengthened her Frying pan so it's a viable weapon, he's got his own reasoning for it sure but I really like the friendship him and Bagi have going on.
Immortal demon finding amusement and kinship in a scrappy amnesiac woman, both of them have unusual hills they are willing to die on and recognize that in one another maybe
Actually begging for someone to make an edit, or a post, fic, whatever you want with Q!Fit and Tsar by Kamaitachi. In my head, it encapsulates Q!Fit's memories from 2B2T. (And how his love for his family is affected by that past.)
Also, the beggining fits perfect with the HC that Q!Fit is HoH because of the explosions on the server.
Tsar is a song in brazilian portuguese, so if anyone actually wants to make something related to it, I'd be more than happy to help with the translation!
(Also, I'm on a Q!hideduo brain rot (especially Q!fit) since yesterday which is why I'm associating this song with him, but you can fit some many characters to the lyrics of these song.)
q!etoiles is such a character to me because he's so loyal he's loyal to a fault he's the defender of the island but he didn't necessarily want to be the defender he just got saddled with the responsibility because he kept picking fights with the code like a scrappy guy looking for an adrenaline rush. someone just tossed him an impenetrable shield while they were at it.
but he's SO terrified of loss he cannot lose things, like its the grounds for his loyalty he doesn't want to lose a friend he's practical but he's a romantic at the same time in his own words can't a warrior's soul also be a lover's soul? where does the line start for one or the other? aren't those lines arbitrary? the only time i feel like ive seen qetoiles even vaguely described as anything similar to "hurt" (i cant even say angry he just seemed saddened in a way) was when he lost the election and almost went total isolationist. the loss matters to him he cannot accept an L for the life of him even admitting q!kameto is gone is admitting a loss in its own way
but his fear of loss and his friends of course he can't push badboyhalo too far to ask what he's really hiding he doesn't want to push him away he has to move goalposts of what he qualifies as important each day a little bit further inch by inch badboyhalo can be an exception, why wouldn't he be? he helped etoiles start his life on the island after all! etoiles knows how violent he is! etoiles knows bbh is doing something bad, and he knows bad is cagey and weird when confronted too far but will also refuse to answer, i mean "Be careful, Badboy, because if you kill everyone, then they will want to do bad things to you. And I don't want them to do bad things to you. I mean, I won't let them, but—" like ? even if you kill everyone, i won't let them do bad things to you? i don't want to hurt you badboyhalo but i will defend you? you'll defend the island but you'll defend your friend first? he just gives in so easily too like "badboy you can hide anything you want just promise you won't betray me" like he gives up ! he gives in. of course he does he doesn't want to lose his relationship to bbh. of course being told his trust was only 85% was a loss. of course it was.
where is the line crossed when do we go too far etoiles i'm dying to know what the breaking point is when your morality is whatever makes the most amount of people you care about currently near you happiest at a given moment
i was rewatching the beginning of bad's vod (yes, i have a problem, leave me alone) and it got me thinking again about bad and baghera's relationship, and how in terms of narrative importance for q!bad q!baghera holds a place that is only rivalled by dapper and pomme. this isn't to put down the rest of q!bad's relationships, i think q!foolish is another one i want to make a post about, but man… q!bad and q!baghera (i'll drop the q! from now on bc i'm lazy but this is about the characters).
their friendship is so important to me? how baghera is so immune to bad's pranks but always plays along, even from very early on when he stole her chair (or table) and tried to bullshit her to her face. she knew he'd been the one to steal it, and let him dig his hole while telling him explicitly that she didn't care about the furniture — she cares about a friend lying. in the end, bad comes clean, and she teases him and then makes him a bunch of furniture.
we also talk a lot about how bad's instinct is to leave dapper with foolish in case something goes wrong, but the fact that baghera was his second option there is… wild. the fact bad went away for a week and trusted her with dapper speaks volumes, absolute libraries even — he's known foolish for so long, and yet this new person is someone he holds in high regard enough to entrust his child to her. in fact, when we talk about his reluctance to dapper's adoption it was never about baghera. it was about his own fears and insecurities when it came to his relationship with dapper — at no point has bad ever expressed that he didn't think baghera would be an amazing mother to dapper… because he knew she would be.
bad avoids expressing emotion outwardly to anyone other than the eggs, but you can tell that baghera's genuine concern for him hits home and that he recognises it for what it is, especially during his """vacation""" arc. he knows that she knows he's sinking, and he knows that his denial is a confirmation in her eyes. but he doesn't mind, and carries on, and knows if he needs her she'll be there.
today's trip to the nether, though, was very symbolic to me in a fun way. when baghera is downed and he realises she fell in the lava, there's no hesitation — he paused enough to gapple up and threw himself in to get to her. when she's safe, baghera just blatantly said "i love you badboy" and he answers "no problem".
he says "i love you too" though, not through words but by the fact that the second they made it out and he realised she wasn't in the overworld, he threw himself back into the nether with 30 seconds on the clock to get to her. he ran, and screamed, and got her through that damn portal because he'd never leave her behind — if he'd gotten stuck, well, they would've been together. but he wouldn't leave her.
and i think there's something even more poignant in the fact that for a moment, subconsciously, bad prioritised baghera over both pomme and dapper — he could've stayed back and hoped she'd make it out, but he went in there to save his friend and his children's mother with no hesitation.
there's a lot about their friendship that is meaningful in all the small moments, but this nether trip? man, it really shows how much they absolutely love each other in detriment of themselves if need be.
bad would risk it all for baghera, and i'll never stop thinking about that.
Consumed with thoughts of q!Bad and q!Forever and their parallels and differences. Bad getting darker and more depressed while Forever gets brighter and more manic with denial and drugs of course.
The biggest thing though was the bench. A few months ago during the election when Bad and Forever were still scheming about the elections they were sitting on a couch and forever (if i remember correctly) got another piece of couch to try and sit away from badboy with a gap between them only for bad to scoot over and sit next to him.
Just the parallel and yet difference of Bad getting an extra piece of bench to sit away from Forever but for Forever to scoot over to sit closer to Bad. Honestly poetic cinema.
